maxutilities / fraud
I was contacted by person who claimed he was from microsoft & my drivers needed updating, I questioned this & asked for my password, microsoft already looked after my computer. He claimed was from different department so didn't have that, but his colleague had told him to phone me as my drivers needed updating. He was very convincing, so I agreed I was charged £82.88 few weeks later I was contacted by microsoft all security details confirmed, I told them I had been contacted by their other department. They told me I had been scammed this was fraud. & to complain & get refund. Maxutilities had lied & removed all my antivirus, windows cleaner, anti-hacking software. I e-mailed maxutilities on discovering this, They phoned me last night, guy claiming he was Joe Parker & was technical supporter. telling me they would refund directly to my current account, I asked why they couldn't refund back on to my credit card? They told me wasn't possible, I had to sign into my online which they assured me they had no access to as I had to use my card reader to do so. They also told me they could only refund minimum £1000.00 & I needed to go to a local shop & do a transaction back to them for £800.00 paid to Sujit Sarkar in India, & I needed to say it was a personal transaction to a friend & would be charged £10 to do it.
I needed to leave my laptop on & keep them on the phone & make this transaction within 30mins when I wason my banking site £1000.00 showed up as credited to my flex account but the screen was blacked out for short time prior to this! I was very suspicious about this, & contacted my bank, on their investigation it showed money had been credited to my current account as stated, but it had been transferred from another of my savings accounts!! My on-line bank account was shut down immediately & all my cards cancelled. I request you look into this company & refund my money immediately
