subscription renewal and overcharging
The customer service is absolutely horrible. I received a notice that my subscription renewed after I put in settings not to renew and they charged me a higher rate. The refuse to credit or give any refund said it was my fault after I caught it the same day today. I don't want this service anymore and the worst customer service ever. All they do is read off a paper scripted answers. I will be filling complaints with BBB as well.

I would like to cancel my account as match.com did traumatize and disturbed my life.
The website sells an idea and the people there are looking for sexual services. This is not what I subscribed for and I am allowed as a unsatisfied customer I would like to cancel within the 14 days and get the refund of the money I paid for.
As as customer I am allowed to cancel within 14 days so please respect my rights as a customer.

recurring charges
I contacted the company to make sure my debit Visa card would not be charged after my three month membership expired. They said it would not auto renew. I checked on the website and my membership was set not to auto renew. I was charged anyways. I called to have the charges reversed. They refused even though my account was not set to auto renew. The representative on the phone hung up on me after I asked to speak with the supervisor. I live in Canada but it is am American company.

After joining and logging in several times, after a day I received a "The admin has blocked your account" Huh. I read the TOS and couldn't find one rule I had broken? I reached out asking why and only heard back on day 4 that they had forwarded my question to the appropriate resource and it's been two weeks to no avail! Glad I didn't pay as other folks have and get ripped off! I will never even think about this site again! I'm amazed their in business running a scam like this! I'm sure their demise is in the foreseeable future as other folks have conveyed the same problems as I experienced .

On August 19, 2017, I tried logging in and found out I could not log on any longer.
Customer Care informed me that I have violated the Terms and Conditions listed on their website and due to the "nature of the violation", they would not communicate with me anymore. I have read your Terms and Conditions and I can assure you I have NEVER violated your terms or ever posted anything inappropriately.
I however I do believe an old boyfriend who is also on Match may have fradulently made a complaint so I be removed from your site.
I am outraged as I went through the Terms and Conditions and felt that I have not violated them in anyway. I even just received an email yesterday August 18, 2017, that my updated profile and pictures were approved. I assure you that my profile is perfectly legitimate.
Your assistance in reactivating my account is greatly appreciated.

Called to ask for a refund after my acct had been charged and I tried to email as they suggested on their automated answering . Didn't get a call back or email regarding my refund. When I tried calling they said it was too late even tho my acct had gone hidden. When I asked to speak with a supervisor they refused to connect me saying they were the last word. Rude and obnoxious. Give me back my money you thieves.

I paid a 30 days subscription and a week later I can’t log in and I can’t even get it to stop the auto subscription I spoke to a match . Com rep and she said you will get an email That’s was 5 days ago nothing yet.

I've been a victim of bait and switch fraud tactic. I attempted to reopen my match account, and instead of month to month billing I was charged a year fee which I did not agree to. I requested a refund and was told I already used to service and they didn't give refunds. At the time I did not know I would be charged a yearly fee. This is clearly fraud and bait and switch.

I opened an account with Match.com recently and have been approached on three occasions by scammers who were "looking for true love". Two such men were posing as military service men, and another individual was posing as an engineer. All three were widowers wanting to get into serious relationships, and when I say serious relationships I mean introduce themselves to you and on the same day begin speaking of settling down and asking me not to see anyone else. That was the first Red Flag. The second warning sign was asking to communicate via email, and then closing their Match.com page down.
I blocked the first two individuals on my email account. Almost immediately after I expressed my non interest to the third individual my account, which I had only opened hours ago, paying my $29.99 month fee for August was BLOCKED!
There is NO Customer Service on the weekend, and so now I have to wait until Monday to see why my account was unnecessarily blocked. NO profanity was used on my account, nor were there any inappropriate photographs. I have no Idea if this individual has access to my account, and may be doing God knows what to it.
I am also concerned for the individuals I became friends with. I have no idea if someone will now be impersonating myself to these men. I would feel so bad if this happened to anyone else.
This is Absolutely infuriating! For a dating site as large as Match.com there should at least be Customer Service seven days a week to resolve issues of this nature.
unauthorized credit card charges
On Friday, Aug. 4, 2017 I enrolled in a 7 day free trial that would not be charged to my credit card until after the trial period. On Wednesday, Aug.9, 2017, I received my credit card statement with the $137.94 charge for Match.com. I called to complain, but was told I had not signed up for a trial, but a 6 month subscription. I explained that I had screenshots of every step of the process, but I was told my account was enrolled as a 6 month subscription. I only wanted to try out the service but am not stuck with a bill I can ill afford for a service I do not want.

I remember hitting the do not renew on my account and they still charged me.. And when i called the day it was charged all they gave me was 15 dollars back out of 50 and i hadnt even used the site in months because it is useless in finding dates. I hope noone uses match. Com ever because it is a waste of money and they charge you no matter what with no notifications on renewal charges or anything. Its a scam and customer service is useless.
Same thing happened to me and many, many others. They are scripted, will not let you speak to a supervisor and refuse legitament refunds. I believe this is fraudulent and must be investigated.

I Gerald Magdosko ([protected]@aol.com) want my money back. I hit the subscribe button by accident. My phone a galaxy s8 had an update that changed the way to use the open apps, home, and refresh buttons, I have to swipe up from the button to pull up those functions now, right where you subscribe button is. With no confirmation on if i want to subscribe (like everywhere else ask you if this is what you want) before buying or subscribing. I didn't even know I hit the button until about an hour later when I seen my confirmation email, which right then I cancelled my subscription. I need that money back ASAP. My account is over drawn now and I have 22 days before I get paid again. So you see I didn't want to subscribe. Please return my money ASAP please. I mean as quick as possible. Jerry
inability to connect to match.com
Regarding the inability to connect to Match.com:
A month ago I signed up for a match.com account. Since then, there have been numerous occasions when either a 404 message shows up or a link to the Netherlands (nl) shows up and the writing is in Dutch. This is the link: https://www.lexamore.nl/

6 month guarantee - no!
Hi,
I just got off a chat with Wendy F. I signed up for the six month guarantee, thinking if I didn't meet anyone, I'd have a whole year! Unfortunately, some weeks I didn't see anyone I liked and you have to message a certain number of people every month to be eligible. Oh well, I'm out six months.
But then, with ZERO warning they re-billed me! Wendy F. claimed that e-mails were sent to me about the pending charge, but nothing was ever sent. Terrible customer service and she refused to connect me with a complaint department.
I contacted them on the day I noticed the charge and they refused to issue any refund, charging me a FULL $149! What?! This site is a scam. Do NOT sign up for it!

Rose from customer service was so rude to me, when I explained the situation and how i was suppose to be cancelled previously and requested a refund for one month she said no and kept reading a script, when i asked for a manager she continuted to tell me no that they will tell me the same thing, when i asked again she said no and she had to disconnect the call and hung up on me. I am so surprised at this poor customer service and lack of empathy from a company like match.com. i will never recommend them to any one and feel how they are opperating is illegal nad injust!
unauthorised money/payments being taken out of my account
I have had regular unauthorised payments taken from my New Zealand Westpac Visa acct no. [protected] and would like these to stop immediately and be refunded the money taken without authorisation. I do not have an account with Match.Com and never have. The money appears to have been going out quarterly and had gone unnoticted until I stopped using this account. The last payment went out 23 June 2017 Ref 982 306 for $92.04NZ. I have traced at least 14 payments back to 10 Apr 2014. I am unable to go back further than this. There may be more. Have not tried to use this site(match.com) for many months, which should be pretty obvious since they note all activity. Initially tried to cancel but to long winded and seems to return to start of process many times.
If they are so successful, why steal extra payments . Now I am a member for a further 6 months, what fun.
Just spent an hour insuring this doesn't happen again, still unsure though .
As far as I am concerned they have stolen £60 off my card.

I signed up to Match.com UK on 5th July 2017 - I would like to be reimbursed my subscription payment, using the 14 day cooling off period. I have tried using my phone and using a computer to e mail Match.com UK Customer Services, I have tried several times and been unsuccessful getting the e mil icon to work.
I joined for free expectation, to at least brows not expecting to use the site. I was tempted to join by so called views and messages being sent to me! Once subscribed, I found I didn't like the site, and would like to have my purchase monies reimbursed.

I have had a very nasty experience as he lies about everything. The fact that his profile, which he submitted, is lies from day 1 should alert you.
