Cannot stop this company (if you can even call it that) from sending me emails EVERY day with "matches" they have selected for me. I never even joined or paid them anything ! I was curious about Match.com and signed up for a FREE trial. Every day they send me emails with pictures of the creepiest looking men that I would never even think of talking to let alone date them! I have tried to stop these emails but it is absolutely impossible! They have no contact phone number and if I try to reply to the email to ask them to stop I am unable to, you can't reply to any email from them unless you click on the button to join Match.com. Someone please help ! These people must be stopped !

I have a match.com account, which I haven't logged in for over a week. Today I got an email from a guy I met there, and he said that I was "online" last night! How can that be right?! I am very angry, because I didn't sign in!

LADIES BEWARE... This man is listed on Match.com as "romanticsykins" from North Syracuse, NY. He is a con man. He is only looking for women with money...and he is dangerous! I have written to Match.com several times to try to have this man removed but they refuse to do anything about it.

We are receiving daily spam emails to our company email used exclusively for customer support - obviously we never signed up for match.com and find it impossible to be removed from their spam list - the unsubscribe links are fake and no matter how many times we try to remove ourselves from the match.com spammer emails it fails to stop them from spamming us. We now report spam to Spamcop onine and several other spam reporting services but this does not seem to block them either - there should be a law against such abuse that jams our company email

I used match for about 3 months on a subscription. I cancelled it after that. And I subscribed from any further emails etc. yet a year later I am still get continuous emails from this site. I now have a bf. And it is causing fights between us. All for no reason! I tried every opt out and every way to unsubscribe from any further mail from match .com.

I do not want any part of the site anymore. Not have I for a long time. . Get me off your site and do it now! I was signed up through erin_willms@live.com Just take me off your list already. I can't stand this stress anymore

I had a paid membership for about 6 months on Match. I removed my pictures, my information, and deactivated the account entirely. A month later, I was still getting emails, so I called a customer service rep. The gentleman I spoke with was polite and helpful. The emails stopped for about 3 months. They just started up again this summer. G-mail now marks them as spam, but that's not entirely solving the point. Match is just as bad as Comcast when it comes to customer service.

Match.com consists of a bunch of loser ### who take money for nothing and continually send unwanted and unsolicited emails. The website is a joke. They are in violation of interstate commerce laws and will be sued in a court of law for their fraudulent activities.

Match.com is sending me unwanted/unrequested personal ads too - - apparently, some ### is using my email address as his spam drop and I cannot get this to stop.

All efforts to contact Match.com have been ignored - they simply don't care.

I do not want or need help from on line dating sites! You can't get rid of them. I've seen one guys face at least 25 times in the last year. Then there are the even creepier ones. Young guys that want to take care of older women. Yahoo, how could you allow such trash on your site. I am almost at the point of closing my yahoo. Acct. . I am 54 years old and not in great health. I wonder who told those creeps about it. Yahoo, was it you? If i ever decide to sign up for a dating site, it would be from my own research and my decision. Once again, stop these adds or you have lost another customer by letting too much of my private info to the public. I'm sure it is sold in some way. I hope you get the message.

I've tried every which way to contact them and cannot find any way to do it - they should be fined and removed from the internet for how they harass us. I, too, never signed up - even for a free trial. As soon as I looked at the site, I started getting so-called matches many times a day - crazy ones, too. They are a terror on the 'net. How to stop them?! I'm at wit's end.

I am convinced the match.com creates fake profiles in order to lure new customers to subscribe to their website. I was not subscribed and received numerous winks and/or likes, and once subscribed, in order to reply, had no responses back from any of the people that contacted me! The activity dates would change from active yesterday to active over three weeks in a days time. So how do I prove that? I'm not sure...

I made a purchase on my charge card to funtonia.com... They did not have PayPal and I was hesitant at first. Stupid on my part I did it anyway, 2 weeks later I had a charge to Match.com. I had never visited nor used Match.com. I am normally very safe when using the internet for purchasing things. I would always investigate the company online before purchasing, My fault on this one I DIDN'T. Goes to show it only takes 1 time and they get you. I called my bank and hopefully things will be resolved soon. My bank first said I do not need a new card with only 1 item charged that was fraudulent. I told them BS...Send me another card now.

I have had exactly the same issue with the site b2.co.uk. I entered into a trial for a month fo £5, found it to be below average, so stopped using it after a week and though that was that until £149 was taken out of my account. I received no receipt of payment or any email from them, and only after considerable checking did I find a small line under the email marked "receipt of payment" for my original £5 does it state they will automatically upgrade me to a 6 month package of £149, which they fail to say will come out of your account in one payment.
A complete rip off!

Match.com is full of men just looking for a good time. They are
Not looking for a real truthful relationship. Ladies be careful about giving your phone number out too soon. And watch for profiles that come and go they are lairs.

There was no notice to cancel and furthermore there was no way to cancel. I took my profile down after a month and they kept sending me matches--fake matches for months. They did not answer my emails, and they did not answer my phone calls. They bilked me for months
when I only signed-up for a 1-month trial. I will now have to cancel my charge card to get rid of them, as I've read on other websites that they follow you to your new number of you change the number. Canceling my charge card is an inconvenience and it lowers my credit rating as I have had a relationship with my charge card for decades.

They do it because they can. If they have in their possession a handsome photograph and well articulated profile that represents another great 'catch' on their 'books', I don't think they give much thought to the fact that trusting people who respond in good faith may be signing up for the opportunity to communicate with you, catch that you are, even though you will be completely unaware of their efforts.

You are bait. And you have paid for the priviledge of being bait, probably because at some earlier point you were captivated by the profile of a pretty girl, so you joined up and wrote to her - only, for some reason, the rude cow did not write back!

It does seem a little unfair that these people make a living by messing with people's lives.

Anyways.. with regard to the issue of your woman.. I would suggest a good starting point would be directing her to this here page. Also write to the site, explain the situation, and have them email you verification of all visits you have made/searches /correspondence initiated by you on Match.com, SINCE the date you met this woman. You deserve to be given the benefit of the doubt in this instance, because it truly wasn't something done of your free will.

Good luck.

It can be stopped. Unfortunately I don't have their phone number but it is listed on their site. Speak to a customer service rep. request that your membership is cancelled, your account deactivated, your profile and picture not be made visiable on their site, as well as for all emails to stop.

Actually if you read the Terms and Use, it tells you that your subscription will be automatically renewed, unless you cancel the subscription prior to the expiration date. Usually people are too excited about finding a match they don't read the agreement fully. It happens.
