MasterCuts service

I'm sorry to say that my first experience at mastercuts will be my last. I have never been so disappointed with any services at our local mall. As soon as I walked in I wasn't greeted and the lady checking out another guest in front of me took 5 minutes before I signed in. And no seats were available, only 4 chairs out. I was told that it would be a 45 minute wait after I walked up and signed in. 1 and half hours later they had been through 2 walk ins on the list and were taking peoples appointments. The lady says we now have overlap of appointments and the people on the list so we will get through it as best we can. I understand that you are overbooked, but you should not take walk ins knowing you have a list of reservations. Perhaps you were short staffed I saw at least 4 people working. Poor customer service, and super disorganized! I never got my haircut and I wasted time. I hope you fix this. I will stick to greatclips!

MasterCuts hair color

i went to get my hair dyed on May 6 2018. i talked to the stylist about what i wanted in my hair. i showed her a picture(blended highlights no strips light brown blended in there. and she said okay no worries this will be easy i got this, she then went on on putting highlights she sat me down and left me alone for such a long time. (because she saw 3 other clients in between. she left me that dye for a long time. when i peeked it was soo yellow and just lines. looked horrible. after that i just felt horrible wanted to leave the salon but i didnt know how to tell her since her personality intimated me a bit . the top of my hair has no brown just to yellow stripes in the side. the bottom she did put some brown. but its soo yelloew my hair looks horrible. its not blended looks bad . the next day i called the salon told them my very bad experiance. i noticed there was another girl in the salon by the name of grace that did such a great job with her client that i asked fpr her when i called. . when i talked to her i told her my experiance and told me to call back and ask for the manager so i can get it re done at no charge. i called the manager for 2 days straight she was always busy untill finally the third day she answered. Her name is Miriam she said i approved to get your hair redone at no charge. she told me just make an appt with grace for when she has time . i told her okay and that is it ? she said yes. so right away i called grace made an appt with her. she first told me to wanted to see my hair to go in for a free consultation. I went in on 05/09/2018 at 5:30 pm she looked at my hair and said okay we will fix it. she went and did my appointment om monday may 14th today !. (keep in mind. they never gave me any dates or rules or exceptions on getting my hair redone ) so today may 14th on the day of my appointment to get this hair fixed grace call me and told me im sorry you will be charged for the service . ! i asked why ? very confused. she said because she talked to the manager and i only had a week to get it fixed and it has been a eek and a day . i was shocked . why didnt anyone tell me this. how can they misinformed me like this. how can they lie about their service . all she kept on saying is im sorry . i asked to speak back to manager and she told me she will have her call me back . she has not. i dont know what to do . if they dont want to fix my hair i want my money back so i can get it fixed somewhere else. this has been the worst experience as a paying customer. i paid 130.00 for the service i need someone to help me.

MasterCuts great service/ awful experience

My stylist fulfilled my needs as to the services I was provided. As we were talking, a young lady with pink hair came in and was stating how she used to be a pimp, was a meth addict, and has no sex drive because she used to be a stripper and would sell her friends off for cocaine. I was in utter disbelief at what I was hearing. I didn't want to jump to conclusions and assume it was an employee of Mastercuts, so I then asked my stylist who the young lady was. She told me that she was the manager over at Regis Salon (did not know this was the same company.) I rarely ever post negative feedback with a company, but this is truly absurd. Had I had my 8 year old daughter with me, I would've been infuriated. Please address your employee with this issue as soon as possible. Thank you.

MasterCuts haircut

Hi. My name is amy. Tomorrow i have to start a procedure to help save my life. I am very nervous about it. I came in today to get my hair done so i could be confident tomorrow . I showed a picture of what i wanted . She ssid she could do it. I asked if she needed the pic again during znd she said no. This is horrible.i attached a photo of me (first pic with dark hair ) and a pic of what i wanted ( just wanted the cut not the color ) this was supposed to make me feel good about tomorrow, not worse . Thanks for listening.

MasterCuts poor customer service

Went into MasterCuts at Southdale Mall in Edina, MN, to pick up some hair mineral salt paste at 4 p.m., Sunday, May 7, 2018. One female hair stylist was working cutting a man's hair. She said, "I'll be right with you as I stood waiting at the counter." Five minutes went by and a woman waiting to get her hair cut stood up and said frustratingly she'd have to call and make an appointment instead of waiting because she had other things to do. I said, "That goes for me too, thanks, " only to receive a snotty look from the hair stylist as I walked away without making my purchase. Yes, she appeared to be the only hair stylist working there at the time, but it was very disappointing she could not step away from her client for a few seconds to allow me to make my purchase, and I definitely did not appreciate the snotty attitude. Desirable resolution would be for this matter to be brought to the hair stylist's attention and her being told there will be consequences for further behavior. Product I attempted to buy: Designline Mineral Salt Texture Paste Medium Hold.

MasterCuts bad hair color service

I came in at the scheduled time at 1:30 pm and asked for my hair to be dyed completely brown with some light blonde highlights. Normally, if a certain shade of color is not possible, I expect the stylist to explain that to me. Since she made it sound like the pretty blonde highlights in the pictures i showed was possible, I didn't question her. She told me it would cost a total of $117, and I told her that was fine. She didn't show me any sample colors at first, so I asked her to show me so I can choose a shade of brown for my base. I decided on a shade and she showed me two blonde that she would lift it to after. In the end, this person who did my hair ended up doing such a terrible job that I am so embarrassed to even be seen in public, since I cannot hide the front two gold pieces framing my face. It was completely uneven coloring and looked nothing like what I had asked for. I told her I wanted my hair dyed completely brown, and so that my black hair doesn't grow out as a harsh line, I asked her to make transition it from the roots. The process took about 4 hours, ending around 5:30 pm. After everything was dyed, toned, and washed, and without showing me the look, she offered to curl my hair. I had assumed that was part of service since we discussed the total in the beginning (but no she charged $10 extra for this). She didn't even show me the final look until after she finished curling it (which hid all the horrible mistakes she made). In the end, she said, "wow it looks so pretty, " and turned me away from the mirror to the side. She handed me a small mirror and put all my hair to the front so that I wouldn't be able to see the back. She even took a photo of it on her own phone and was gushing how beautiful it looked. I immediately wanted to cry as soon as I saw the unattractive, uneven bright gold highlights in the front, which at the moment, I thought was the only problem. Then, the other stylist also came over and told me my hair looked beautiful. I was completely mislead by them. I was so upset about the front gold that I asked her if she would dye that part brown or if I have to come in another day. She told me she works 12 pm-6 pm the next day and to come in any time. As I looked over the picture of my hair, to my horror I saw that the back had blocks of black and two fat random streaks of brown on the top half. I went home, washed it, and straightened it to clearly see the color, and it was completely uneven all around and there was no smooth transition at all. It was the worst job that anyone has ever done on my hair. This got me really worried because I have really important events to attend in the coming week. The next day I came in at exactly 12 pm, and another stylist was there and told me the lady that had done my hair took off today because she couldn't find a babysitter. I told her I was unhappy with my hair, and right of the bat, this stylist admitted that the coloring was pretty bad. She rescheduled me to get my hair color corrected for another day. How convenient that my stylist took off on the day I had to come back, especially after I even gave her a generous tip of $20 in cash. This service was completely unacceptable. What a waste of so much precious time and money, as well as embarrassment for having to be seen with this hair. This was a total of 3 separate days that I had to waste unnecessary extra time regarding my service. And on top of that, I was definitely overcharged for this unsatisfactory job (I paid a total of $147, including tip).
Desired Resolution: I request a refund for the $127 I paid for the hair color service.

MasterCuts angry

Went in for a haircut and came out looking nothing like what I asked for as you can see in the photos below is what i asked for and what i got I'm so angry i recieved this rushed haircut because the stylist had a friend waiting on her to finish with mines and my sons which she rushed mines and I paid $50 and something plus tip and this is why they shouldn't allow stylist to cut family and friends hair because of what I went through today and now I have to go spend another $30 r $40 to try and get this fixed because my hair looks like crap and I hate it mastercuts is never in my lifetime having me as a customer again I told my husband to slap me if I even think about getting it done there again

MasterCuts hair color

I wanted a cherry color hair color. Even though it did not look as the picture of the hair I attached below, I was satisfied with it and my stylist and color I did get. Below is a pic of complete color with me and my daughter. Then, 1 very important factor the stylist forgot to tell me for the first wash for someone who has never had red highlights. Donot wash in hot water. I took a shower and my hair is now pink. I have called the salon, no call back. I work alot of overtime. I have left messages. I need this fixed. It is not professional looking. I am in a professional job.

MasterCuts bad highlights

What an awful experience today at MasterCuts went in for highlights and the woman said it would take two and a half hours it took over 5 hours to finish and it's not even. even one side is way more blonder than the other side. The girl doing my hair had to have someone help her. Really? 2 ppl for one customer. Not happy to pay $140 for this awful color. I will be calling there first thing in the morning.

MasterCuts haircut

I called ahead to schedule an appointment and request for cut and color. I was told no problem and they were happy to help. I showed up at the scheduled time of 615pm only to be told I'd have a wait and they were able to color. It's now been over an hour and I'm still waiting. I have seen 4 people come and go that we're not scheduled. Worst customer service experience ever!

MasterCuts hair service

I got my hair done march 24th with the hair dresser Jessica she was not very friendly or caring it was uncomfortable. She didn't go over any consultation with me about what I wanted to get done she went straight to doing my hair the end result a complete mess super orange not what I wanted I total spent on my hair was 308$ not worth it felt tipped complained the next day, spoke to Theresa she said she was sorry but could not give me a full refund bc she did not want to get fired so she just refunded me the products that I bought and a blow dry that was 17.25 she kept the receipt so I have no proof to show you what I was charged I was not very happy and is now seeking further help

MasterCuts haircut was terrible! hairstylist was really rude. really depressed and unhappy!

I went in to get my hair cut. I had an appointment for 1:00 pm. My hairstylist was candy. She was really rude and insensitive and did not know what she was doing! She left me sitting on the stylist chair in the middle of doing my hair because someone walked in the room! And said I will be back! She said to me while she was washing my hair sit up! In a mean way a couple times. And then she said dont move! I felt terribly upset and anxious! My hair is thin and she had the hair dryer on really hot and was really rough when she was drying my hair with the brush! She pulled my hair and it hurt! I wanted to jump out of the chair! I am really unhappy with my hair it is all dryed out and it looks terrible! I will never come here again. I wasted my money!

MasterCuts full hair of foils gone wrong

I went into your new Brunswick Dieppe location on March 24 at 3pm thinking I was going to get a fresh new look that I would be happy with. I went in showing a picture of a really dark mocca brown and I wanted platinum highlights. I did not get eather of what I wanted. I also asked for big bold chunky highlights I did not get that eighter. I only treat myself once a year to a what I thought was a more upscale salon. My hair stylest did not listen to a word I said in what I wanted in a new style. I spent 194.93$ and I am not happy at all. My stylist name is Meghan and she gave me the most boring hair style ever. I got a dull brown and my highlights are not what I expected. My highlights are thin and boring. If I were to have gone to a more budget friendly salon I would have probably got what I wanted in the first place . I am looking for a full refund of my money. I have never been so unhappy with my hair. I am looking for a full refund of my money because I did not get what I was promised.

MasterCuts unethical service

I took my granddaughter for a $16.50 hair cut at the Mastercuts #03201 on March 22, 2018 in Albuquerque, NM. I did not go back to the cutting area with her but when they came back to the front desk I was told the bill was $31.18. I said I wanted a $16.50 haircut but and the stylist said well I shampooed it and blew it dry. I said I did not ask for the shampoo and hair dry I only asked for a $16.50 haircut. I paid the $31.18 but I can tell you I will never go into another Mastercuts and I will tell everyone I know on social media about the experience I had with this salon. Shame on your company for allowing such under handed actions.

MasterCuts salon staffing

I visited the Hagerstown MD store on President's Day and was told there was a 4-5 HOUR wait time and only 2 stylists were working, which is the usual staffing during the week, but SHOULD have been beefed up during a holiday. I expected a longer than usual wait, but I may never return because I always wait too long at this store. I only visit this store because I was a regular at the Martinsburg WV store until it was closed when our mall closed. I'm pretty sure you lost a lot of business that day, some for good.

MasterCuts my hair stylist

My hair was almost past my butt. I went in and specifically said, " I just want a trim and I want to keep my length." She showed me about 2 inches that needed to come off and I said ok. I then asked, "Can I get layers and still keep my length?" She assured me yes no problem! I said, Ok then lets put in some layers. I had a phone call in the middle of the cut and noticed that she was taking alot off. I said to her, " That's a lot of hair your taking off!" And I honestly started getting scared at that time. She said, "Oh no, you will see, you will still have your length!" I didn't realize until after I got out of there how much she actually taken off! My hais is now just below my shoulders! She took about a total of 12 inches off! I went home and cried! Please call me back about this. I am very unhappy about my hair. Thank you for your time.
If I don't hear from yous, within a couple of days, then I will put it in the Newspaper.

Terrible service over charged when they didn't even do my eyebrows evenly and cut my hair so it's worse off then it was before never going here again an no else should the manger was the one cutting my hair an was extremely rude when I tried to tell her I didn't like the way she was cutting it she also left me sitting there for 10 minutes to cut another persons hair before finishing mine.

MasterCuts racism

About a month ago i brought my daughter in to get a wash and blowout. Well right infront of my 12 year old daughter they said we cant do black peoples hair. I then said all you have to do is wash and blow dry it for her. They refused all told mw to go somewhere else. At this point my 12 year old daughter is crying because she is being refused be ause of her color. Way to go mastercut employees! Lanesboro Massachusetts

MasterCuts phones

Hello,

I was currently at one of your location getting my hair done. There was two lovely girls working way. Helping clients, cleaning the store, and answering the phones.

There was however a third employee working who didn't not help the girls with cleaning, answering the phones or with clients. All he was doing was talking on his personal phone. Talking away.

I understand that everyone has a phone, and everyone other on or uses one, but in a customer service environment you would think one would be more in helping others and clients than being on a personal phone during working hours.

MasterCuts employee treatment

December 30, 2017 around 2:20pm I was getting my haircut, it was very busy. There was a woman who appeared to be in charge (I didn't get her name) she was very rude and very unprofessional. The way she treated the older gentleman hair stylist was wrong. She belittled him in front of customers as he was ringing up a customer. She was rolling her eyes with her hands on her hips when he was explaining what he was doing. Treated him as if he was a child. I'm not one to make complaints but this was very disturbing and unethical.
