Marshalls customer service/return

Today I was in store with a return. Female cashier said I couldn't return because I had worn the shoes. I said I had never worn them which is the God honest truth. Was berated by a male and female cashier in front of several customers. Female employee actually said to a customer that sometimes you just have to take their word for it with a scowl on her face. I've never been so humiliated for being a good customer and will never shop in your store again.

Marshalls the store itself

The store in Nanuet has gone downhill. Housekeeping is a mess. Your sales team is slovenly, rude and evidently not interested in maintaining a neat, clean retail space. Managers are rude and set the tone for the rest of the staff. Lines are long and registers are poorly manned. I can spend 20 minutes in picking out an item to purchase, and 30 minutes on line trying to pay. I have stopped shopping in this store. HOWEVER, just 20 minutes away in Emerson, NJ you have a clean, well maintained store that is staffed by hard working, polite and customer oriented people. Perhaps they can give some insights to the team in Nanuet because as crowded and busy as the store was, people were able to pay for their purchases in no time at all! I am amazed that no one has seen the decline in sales and wondered why. People have stopped shopping there. The merchandise assortment is not attractive. Years ago I purchased two Tahari suits. The last time I was in I couldn't find anything worth the time it would take to stand in the check out line. This store is in a good location, is open on Sundays - which should be a draw for customers who live in Bergen County, where stores are closed on Sundays. Please help.

Marshalls tags improperly place

The Tag prices were unproperly place on clothing, in this case "Men & Young men Clothing". The Manager "Older white Female" Refused to honor the price tags on the clothing.! This is not the customers fault, this is the stores mistake; therefore the price on the clothing should be honored.!
The manager on the Evening that this Occurred was very very Disrespectful!

Marshalls supervisor katty at ontario mill’s branch (mills circle st.)

I purchased a lotion few days ago from Marshalls at Ontario mills (mills circle st), I applied this lotion once only and developed rash all over the area with inflammatory papules this lotion definitely badly stored because I'm not known to have any allergies, I paid for a cortisone cream and applied it over the Affected area ( damaged by the lotion)for 7 days and I'm still suffering from post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Yesterday at 7pm I went to return back the item to the store the supervisor katty refused to return it back. If such a person is a supervisor at Marshalls, and customers' rights get easily violated then definitely this is not the right place to shop at, my family and friends decided to support me and not shop at any Marshalls shop forever.

Marshalls impolite cashier

Hello, i went to Marshalls/Home Goods at Rowland Heights this afternoon. I purchased quite a lot as gifts. I understand that it is the cashier's job to offer their TJ Maxx and Marshalls card, or they may even have a quota to reach when doing this. The cashier, Ms Dina, offered me the card while punching my orders. I politely declined saying I don't need one for now. She continued to persuade me and I consistently said no. Until the time she finished my with my purchase she offered me like 4 more times. It's not just it's annoying already, it's more of her manner that's concerning me. She is persistent in an off manner where she doesn't seem to listen. She even told me "are you sure you don't wanna save?" In a tone like im stupid. She doesn't smile nor encouraging. She's more of demeaning. When i still said No, she stopped but then started saying to the child of my sister that we need to pay for the opened candies which my niece is holding. I told her no she didn't open any. And we returned the candy on the rack. She was intrusive and accusing. I am a happy customer of Marshalls and TJ Maxx since and never been treated like this. Considering that i am pregnant. I hope you can do something about your customer service. More power.

I was so upset about this that I needed a smoke and a drink. If anything happens to my baby because you guys forced me to drink I will be suing.

The worst part about this all is when the cashier told my niece that we had to pay for the candy that she opened, I did not check to see if she opened it or not. I slapped her across the face and told her she was a disgusting thief for eating the candy before it was open. My sister took her daughter's side rather than mine, her own blood.

Marshalls harassment of my 12 year old

I will be contacting the corporate number I have to report my official complaint for the location of Marshall's at 4740 Princess Anne Road in Virginia Beach VA the associate who touched my child's clothes and body was Wanda S. at this location. Something needs to be done my daughter has never had to encounter such harassment a day in her life. So upset I went to another location and purchase the items I needed and felt uncomfortable that I was even still spending money with the company.

Marshalls returns

I purchased shoes and they ended up being bad for me, I came to return them and had to stand in a long long long line... I think it's sad you make people stand in a line that is so long 2 times. Maybe you could get a return line? Crazy, I sat and watched 2 people stand around and gossip behind the counter while I stood there for 5 minutes before they even addressed me, then let me know I had to go into the long line.

Marshalls customer service

To whom may I concern:

I'm writing this complaint because I had never in my life had someone made me feel any less of a person nevertheless a Marshall employee! This was my second time returning an item that didn't fit me and they declined service to me. Inliterally has to force them to help me with one item because I had to speak to the manager. The lady who helped me had a negative attitude and I was nothing but polite and patient with all of them. I asked the lady to help me with my second item and she said "no" to me and didn't care to give me good customer service. They gave me store credit but needed my license. After the lady handed me back my license she started talking to me in Spanish! Assuming I knew the language! She instructed me in Spanish on how to swipe the card! She made me feel terrible for having a Latin last name! I didn't even understand what she was telling me but she spoke down on me so rudely and I didn't do anything to her to deserve this treatment. So unprofessional of her! She was such a stereotype of person. She wasn't even wearing a name tag. I'm really hurt and really disappointed and super dissatisfied with there service, and I actually like shopping at marshalls but the people that work there are super negative! It ain't fair for me to get this type of treatment because I'm a good paying customer. The people who work there need to be replaced ASAP! I'm not the only one who feels like this. There's a bunch of negative reviews on YELP specifically for this location. Horrible marshalls located in 15945 Ventura Blvd Encino ca 91436. Something needs to be done about it. They don't even TRY to help people in this location. What if I was a secret shopper? This location contradicts everything that marshalls stands for! Whatever happened to customer satisfaction?

"Every employe, from cash boy up, is taught absolute respect for and compliance with the business principles which Mr. Field practices. Broadly speaking, Mr. Field adheres to the theory that "the customer is always right." He must be a very untrustworthy trader to whom this concession is not granted."

I still haven't been helped with my other item. People at that location are extremely rude.

The location that needs to go be regulated is located at
15945 Ventura Blvd Encino ca 91436. Something needs to be done about it.

Marshalls unethical behavior

I went to the Auburn Hills Marshalls on 8/16/18 to return a lunch bag for my child that a had malfunctioned 1 day of buying it. I had to wait for a manager to arrive because they had to get a number on where the lunch bag was located in the store to see if there were any left to swap out. A manager did come by the name of Lori and she was very much rude. she kept calling me "GIRL" and I stated numerous of times if she could call me ma'am. She throw the lunch box on the counter when she brung it to the front then one top of the rudeness I was getting called a "GIRL" not to mention my child was standing there witnessing this all. I felt like my dignity and respect went out the window being called a "GIRL" in front of my child. I am a faithful customer and I shop there on a regular bases but I feel embarrassed and very belittled. I am very distraught about the incident and will not be returning to that particular store. I did state that I will not be returning and the manager Lori stated try TJ max and shrugged shoulders and walked off.

This is really dishearten that people can be so rude to others.

Marshalls manager acting unprofessional

I tried to be polite and professional as I could while speaking to the manager on duty 9/17/2018 6:30 pm bringing to her attention the desperate need of the cleanliness of the women's bathroom and told her this is not the first time this week the bathroom's looked like that the exact same toilets and mess. She sighed and looked at me and said " I mean we clean them" said nothing more no apology, no thank you for bringing this to my attention no nothing and as I walked out she frowned and rolled her eyes at me as if I did something wrong.

Marshalls marshalls store in manhasset new york

On August 1, 2018 I had a 3:30 job interview at the Marshalls store in Manhasset. It was for a sales associate part time position. I left my full time job at 2:30 since the store is only about 15 minutes away. There were 2 lanes closed on the highway from a downed tree which got me to the store 10 minutes late. I let the sales associate know that I was late due to the traffic caused by a downed tree. She waited about 10 minutes then made a call. It was 3:50 when she got off the phone call and proceeded to tell me, in front of other customers that they would not interview me since I was late and she "scolded" me on how I should give myself more time to get to an interview.

I would like to let you know that I am a 56 year old Professional woman looking for a second job and I found it highly unprofessional, demeaning, and embarrassing to be scolded by your sales associate in front of others.

I hope others are not treated as badly as I was.

Marshalls customer service/relations issue

I went to the store on 733 Lincoln Ln to return items, I purchased downtown, before my cruise, that I did not use . I went to this particular because it was closer to another super I needed to go to and because I had my carry on bags for my flight, I needed to make the least amount of trips as possible. I went b straight to the cashier upon entering the store. I had one item, a chi product for 14.99, that wasn't on the receipt. She said this item isn't on here would you like to keep it, I said sure. After completing the transaction I noticed my son had been looking / picking up some things so I went up by the cashier to wait. She said there is a bench so I went to sit because I was tired from traveling. My son came with his final purchase and I said let me look to see if I can find you some things because I heard this Marshalls had more fashionable stuff. I like around the men's section, found a few more shirts and headed toward the cashier. On my way a worker asked did I need a basket but I told him I was checking out. I paid for all the items and when I got to the bottom of the escalator the same man, who I later discovered is, Jonathan Bags in, store manager, said "you didn't pay for that", pointing at the chi product. I explained I came in with the product and he asked for the receipt. I explained the product wasn't on the receipt and the Cashier #3 said they must've skipped over the item, would you like to keep it? He said I didn't put the item on the counter but he must has observed the second transaction, where I didn't because it was already addressed . I said you can call to verify and he kept cutting me off, addressing me in a very accusatory manner that she said she didn't see this item. I match upstairs because o was disturbed and very angry that after I purchased over 500.00 worth of merchandise with Marshalls just in the two transactions, that I'm being approached in such a manner over 15.00. Once I went upstairs she said yes she has that item and she mistook him asking about "sheets" not "chi", he tries to retract and act as though he was not pressing me about it and that o CHOSE to go upstairs. I chose to go upstairs because of the mere fact I felt harassed. I was so taken aback by the whole situation that I couldn't think straight. I'm a hard working self employed black woman who chooses who I want to sirens my hard earned money with and I had, up until today, have been choosing to spend thousands of dollars with the Marshall brand. Because I'm self employed I keep all my receipts. Once I sat down I realized I supported my Marshalls on the way to the airport and purchased the Chi along with some other items
I'm sure I the receipt in the Bay, which I will check, once I arrive back in California. I have spent over 10k for my week vacation with my son, which I enjoyed. Too bad it ended on a sour note at your establishment. Perhaps it's because we're Arican Americans that walked in with bags that we looked like suspects but I assure you, we are not. I hate he had to witness this example profiling. I tried to call customer service but you were closed. I will be following up with a formal complaint with a general or regional matter until I feel it's been rectified properly.

Marshalls employee

Yesterday I was in my local Marshalls store shopping for specific items they carry. One of the male employees saw a woman walk in and called her over to an aisle where it seems the two were having a conversation, just a few seconds later he went into the stock room and rolled out a cart full of boxes I went over to see if perhaps what I was looking for was on the cart. The lady he was talking to (another customer) was also over there waiting as if she knew what he was bringing out. It just so happened the two of us were looking for the same items. He opened one of the boxes and reached over me to hand it to her. After I saw another box of the same size and asked the employee if that happened to be another one. He responded not sure I have to open the box to find out to which I replied I understand if it is I would like that item. He opened the box and it was indeed the same item he just handed to the other lady. I went to reach for it and he snatched it back towards him and since I was standing between him and the other lady he walked around the back of the stock cart to hand the second one to her again. At this time I looked at her and asked if I could please have that one like I originally asked the employee the lady said yes and the employee proceeded to ask her are you sure you want her to have this one. She said that's fine and once again he asked are you sure. After she said yes again he finally let me have it. His actions are extremely rude and unprofessional. I then checked out extremely upset with how I was treated and later called back to talk to the manager. I was told by the manager everything should be first come first serve which in this case that wasn't so. The employee definitely knew this customer and did his best to ensure she got priority instead of making it fair. The manager in the phone then proceeded to try to use the excise that the employee is partially deaf and probably didn't hear me when I asked ... every time I spoke to him he looked me in the eyes and responded so I feel that was a cop out for the manager. I do not feel these type of employees who make customers feel uncomfortable should be working for companies like this. What he did was very disrespectful and uncalled for. Hopefully this is will help prevent other customers from having the same experience I did with this store and employee.

Marshalls discussing something about another employee

Manager Fiona at Marshall at North Dekalb location in Georgia. She put something on my employment report that has effectived me from employment with this company. No call no show. If I did this I would have not been able to transfer to FL then back to Norcross, GA. Before I left I felt I was being harassed by this person. And to tell another employee I call corporate on her is unprofessional. Thanks for your time. I'm not angry it's the principle that's not good work ethics.

Marshalls management at marshalls 15022 summit ave fontana ca

Good Evening

I would like to share my experience today at Marshalls at the summit location in Fontana. I shop at this store frequently I purchase anywhere from shoes clothes to Home Dept Items including "Rae Dunn"
I know you guys have policy's for Rae Dunn since the craziness started and I know every store is different. Summit Marshalls usually doesn't have anything at opening and mangers hand out the items based on the time of the arrival of the customer, well today Marissa a manger processed and was ready to hand out items at 1pm. Marissa opened the stock room doors had a snack canister and said I'm giving this to her and pointed to a lady in the far back we told Marissa look that's usually not the way mangers do this and with all fairness we think you should follow the order in which we got here, she ignored us and handed that lady a canister.
When I expressed myself to AJ he said she's a manger as if his hands were tied. When I spoke to Veronica which is usually the lady that hands out Rae Dunn she said I hope you lady's don't complain because if you do things will change and we will process home and Rae Dunn in the afternoon when none of you lady's are here. So pretty much she was telling us don't complain about what happened with Marissa or else's we won't process Rae Dunn.
With all fairness all other stores I have visited in the mornings brings out Rae Dunn in the morning at opening why can't Summit? They use too?

Marshalls shoe

This is absolutely rubbish I purchase a shoe I pick the right one to my suprise cashier took the shoe and change it and put the same leg I get to find out when I was about to wear it for my baby when I return it they couldn't find the right leg the second leg my baby wasn't happy at all this is absolutely stupid I have never see the kind of negligence on duty before the store location Tiffany plaza 2401 US 22 west union N.J. 07083

Marshalls dw home, scented candle eucalyptus scent

I recently purchased this candle at a marshalls store in Madera CA for $7.99.
I had it sitting on my dining table this afternoon and I fell asleep around 4pm only to wake up at 4:30! 30 minutes later to my smoke alarm in my home going off and my house filled with smoke because the candle wax had caught on FIRE! And the candle was broke and burning wax was now on my oak dining table! It also burned a bowl that was on the table... THANK GOODNESS for the smoke alarm ! My 2 year old son was asleep in his room as well I was only some feet away on the couch so I acted quickly to put out the fire!
I'm sorry but 30 minutes of letting a candle burn and it catching fire.. is something else...
I will not be buying anymore candles from this store. And I strongly recommend contacting DW HOME... and taking this product off the shelves.. someone else might not be so lucky..!

Marshalls any item of clothing like cut off shorts and sleeve shirts etc.

Hello there at marshalls, ant clothing as altered like trimmed apparel ; a certain guideline applies. The cloth must be trimmed then placed in washeTmachine basket as the pieces are to be washed at one time through cycle completes. This keeps threads from damage. I learned this in home EC. Education and this information is found on patterns for other types of appearal when fitting material.

Marshalls return

I bought a blouse on may 21, 2018 I wanted to return it. It still had tags on blouse with my receipt showing the item and because I did not have the scan bar (actually I tore it off because the receipt was so long) the clerk said she would have to check it on their system I am still at the store waiting over 15 minutes now. Said they could not give me store credit or my money back! This is ludicrous I have receipt and the tags are still on shirt now this is not good enough. Over a $19.99 shirt really. Never shop here again!

Marshalls hiring and store manager at the keizer oregon location

I don't appreciate how I have been treated/blown off by these two individuals. I submitted an application in person to Joshua the last week of April abouts, went in a few days later to follow up and spoke to Sherry. She was very pleasant and had me interview right then and there. The interview seemed to go very well, felt like we got along well and she asked if I could come back for a second interview with Joshua. So after a change in days (apparently she looked at the schedule wrong) I went in that Saturday morning to have an interview with Joshua. He didn't seem that friendly but everyone has a bad day so didn't make much of it. The interview seemed ok, yet he still seemed a little off, but said that he trusted Sherry's judgement that she had been doing this a long time, he just likes to meet the people and talk to them a little bit. He told me that he just needed to do a background check and call my references and that Sherry would be calling me to arrange my first day of training. So great! Sound like I have the job right!? That's what it sounded like to me anyway. So I waited a week with nothing, then called to follow up that next Monday (9 days later). Spoke to Joshua who said yeah they were still working on calling my references, he would call me later that week. Ok great. I wait the rest of the week with no call, then wait one more week find out when Sherry is working again, which was today (16 days after my second interview). I call and let Sherry know who I am, the whole story of me calling and checking back with Joshua etc. She somewhat remembers who I am but doesn't know the whole story so she lets me know she will need to call me back once she locates my information. She calls me back and tells me she located my application/paperwork and spoke to Joshua and that they decided to "go a different direction". What!? So they have wasted three weeks of my time thinking I had a job, which I NEED, to blow me off until I track them down to tell me never mind! I'm not a teenager who just needs some fun money, I need a job to keep a roof over my head. I asked what the reasoning was, was it my limited availability (which I mentioned in the original interview) and she says "yeah that's part of it". I don't appreciated being blown off basically, being treated like my time doesn't matter. I have an excellent working history, which I have no doubt my references backed up (if they were even called) and am definitely qualified for the job. If you don't want to hire me, fine, but don't treat me like I don't matter. I just felt like the whole situation was handled really unprofessionally and I will not be going in that store ever again. Sherry also had mentioned prior to her calling back that they had hired four people yet hadn't had any time to actually have them start. They are going through a management change, but need to get their barrings and not hire people if they don't have time to have them actually start work. It's not fair to people who NEED that income. I've never had this happen in my over 20 years in the work force.
