I purchased a 2015 AUDI A3 sedan at KIA roodepoort on the 31st May 2018. When I took the car in for minor repairs on the 20th June 2018 at AUDI Fourways they advised that they would not repair the car as it has been involved in a accident. I contacted ABSA AVAF and they advised that I return the car to KIA and contact Marina Steenkamp to cancel the contract. I did exactly that on the 21st of June 2018 and to my dismay when I called Marina she asked me whom I had been dealing with at the dealership and she said "Oh Canidene let me call her". After having a private cellphone discussion with Canidene, Marina called me back and told me that the dealer has to issue the instruction to cancel contract so I must sort this out with the dealer. This had me very suspicious because the attitude of the dealer manager and Canidene then change to non -negotiable they are not taking the car bank. I must just make you aware that I spoke to 3 different AVAF consultants who advised me the Marina had the power to cancel the contract given that I had produced the proof that the information regarding the vehicle was not previously disclosed. Marina has been extremely quiet up until now. she is copied on e-mail conversations happening between myself and the dealer. I have also yet too understand how ABSA cannot cancel the contract as they are the owner of the asset pending full payment of the asset involved and I have shared information with ABSA (Marina) advising that there is a defect that was not disclosed therefore impacting the actual value of the car. It is questionable to say the least as to why this is happening and I would like to speak to senior management because my trust in Marina and her personal relationship with KIA Roodepoort stuff is broken. Just today I received an e-mail from the dealership manager who clearly stated and I quote "At this stage Absa is the title owner of the Audi and you are the registered owner of the said vehicle. We as a dealer cannot accept your vehicle in our property until there is written communication between yourself and the bank to state that this contract would be cancelled. This process needs to also involve the ombudsman which will be the mediator in this matter." But Marina who is copied on this e-mail is quiet. Please can I have a response from ABSA ASAP. I have attached pictures of the report from AUDI Centre Fourways and I am happy to forward the e-mail chain I have mentioned.
