Mandy Oh, Mandy - You Came and You Gave Without Taking - But I Sent You Away

I didn't take this site seriously a few years before; I had been jaded
By the "others" (and you know who you are) that basically prostitute
The voice market, and had become gun-shy about re-entering into the
Market.

After about a week of not wanting a "full" membership, I began to
Receive free queries about jobs. I actually received responses and
Potential work from producers and ADs. What better promotion for a
Regular membership?

In the words of philosopher Barry Manilow: "Oh, Mandy!"

Mandy Great for film jobs

I've been using Mandy for many years and as far as film/video jobs go i find it to be the best site. I have got jobs through them in the past. They have up to date job postings and make it easy to apply its a great place to even just see what's out there. They give good descriptions and always tell you the pay rate which is great for me. They have new listings everyday which makes it easy to be one of the 1st to apply. If you have experience and know what you want go to mandy. I only do film and video however they may have other jobs as well i'm not sure.

Mandy Acting is my passion

Since childhood I have been dreaming about becoming an actor, however I couldn't find any opportunity which would help me to develop my skills. I played some plays at school and my accomplishment is that I was chosen for major roles. I started to search for various websites and companies which could promote me as a beginning actor and I found mandy. It seemed to me that it was a real key to the world of theater plays. I applied here and understood how to cooperate with these guys in order to become a real actor. I highly recommend this website for those who also can't reveal their potential.

Mandy Mandy is the MAN

I first got on to Mandy several years ago.
My story is that I wanted to break into the business and had a friend suggest me this website for Jobs and Auditions.

Like is our nature as performers, I had a slight apprehension of its reliability, yet quickly proven wrong. Right away I began to at least get noticed and called in to rooms.

Look at it this way, if you get just ONE job off of it, it will more than pay for your subscription fee.

That's it, I was hooked and it's an Immensely useful tool for an unrepresented actor to start working and gain experience. It has grown as a site since I joined and become very User friendly.

It's worth the money because it makes YOU money.

Carry on Mandy :)

Mandy 1000% better than Star Now

I was a member of Star Now for 10 years and didn't get a single paid job, only TFP work. As soon as I joined Mandy I had 5 paid jobs in 1 month. It is pure luck though because some months aren't as busy... However I only get paid work on Mandy and it's very professional.
I recommended my mum too and she got an over 50s modelling job for Lumen in her first week.
I currently have separate profiles as a model, dancer and TV Extra, and there are ongoing updated jobs coming in for all ages.
I would recommend to everyone and my only regret is wasting 10 years of membership on Star Now, when I could have joined Mandy.
The only down side to the site is having to wait for photos to be approved, so if you're in a rush to upload something it can take 24 hours.

Mandy My experiment toward Mandy whether the service or customer support

I admit that Mandy give me the opportunity to develop-my skills, despite of I gotten hired in some jobs but and got paid or at least have credits but in the same times, I got advise from from professional directors and also auditions a lot, which make me developed my skills, in other hand there customer support is very helpful, prompt reply and patience for questions and inquiries, the system also is good which comfortable to check your email for new job post according to your profile and listed in the website also, not only that many directors respond via messaging system, I think Mandy considered one of the top online casting platform especially for aspiring talents, I advise talents to register immediately but be patient, you ll find an image from a music video I auditioned and joined through Mandy also a page from modelling contract I obtain via Mandy, so please keep trying, create a profile express your talents and personality and follow up

Mandy This site is a complete Con!

I received no value from this site and wasted money joining as it was the only way to connect with opportunities promoted… This site continued to charge me with their auto renew and when I discovered they had done this, even though I canceled and am not, have not been using their service as it is worthless, they refuse any refund. They claim you can go online to cancel, but that is not true. I went online and it would not even allow me to cancel my credit card details to prevent them stealing further money from my account. It turned out that I had to email them to cancel… how convenient! Do not give them money and do not give them your credit card information to access this useless service… AVOID!

Mandy Mandy.com Premium Service Review: Not Worth the Money

I wasn't too impressed with Mandy.com's premium service. I paid for it, but didn't really get any job offers that were worth it. I mean, I would get job offers from places that were way outside of my selected locations. What's the point of that? It seems like they just want to make it seem like they have a lot of job offers, but they really don't. And sometimes, you'll see a job offer that looks good, but then you have to apply through another site that's just like this one. What's the point of that? It's frustrating.

Even now that I'm not paying for premium, I'm still getting emails about job offers that sound great, but only if I upgrade to premium again. That's not fair. If I'm not paying for premium, then don't send me job offers that are only available if I pay for premium. It's like they're trying to extort me or something. I've heard from other people that there are better platforms out there, so I might try those instead.

The few jobs that I was able to land were through word of mouth. I didn't have to pay for anything, and I didn't have to deal with any of this "guarantease" nonsense. If Mandy.com can't guarantee that I'll get a job offer, then why should I pay for their service? It doesn't make any sense.

Overall, I don't think Mandy.com is worth it. You're better off cold calling or using a different platform. Don't waste your money on a service that can't guarantee anything.

Mandy Mandy Review: Expensive and Limited, Not Worth the Cost

I started using Mandy at the beginning of 2019, after some fellow actors recommended it to me. I also use StarNow and Backstage, but I have to say that I get more of what I want (speaking roles) from StarNow. It's also the cheapest one to subscribe to, at ?29 for six months.

Mandy, on the other hand, is way too expensive at ?170 a year. Plus, you can only apply for paid work in your chosen category, like actor, supporting artist, photographer, director, and so on. StarNow and Backstage don't limit you like that, which is much better because most of us have multiple talents and interests.

I did pay for a year's subscription to Mandy, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. I've been keeping track of my experiences on all three websites, and StarNow is definitely the best, followed by Backstage (which is currently offering free membership to UK residents for six months), and then Mandy.

I think Mandy needs to lower its price to something more reasonable, especially since actors don't usually make much money. Maybe they could offer free or very cheap access to actors, and then charge the casting directors the full amount. That would be fairer, in my opinion.

Overall, I'm not too impressed with Mandy so far. I'll see how it goes over the next year, but I'm not holding my breath.

Mandy Mandy.com's New Site: Disappointing Low-Paying Job Listings & Resume Issues

Been using Mandy for 10 years and I'm a successful industry professional. The new site is so disappointing. Mandy is allowing numerous Shoe String Budget and Amateur Project Postings with SUPER LOW DAY RATES to be listed in the Standard JOBS section, instead of forcing them onto the LO/NO PAY Opportunities board. This is highly unprofessional of Mandy and will gradually crush the already stagnant day rates of experienced production professionals. Please, Mandy, just enforce Low Rate/No Pay postings and ensure they stay within the correct lo/no pay "Opportunities" section, not on the "Jobs" board! Ex: $14/hr for Experienced Editor and $125/day for DP w/Camera are not standard industry rates for pros! Those are intern rates. I don't mind paying for highly professional industry sites, but allowing amateur/shoe string project postings in the Experienced/JOBS is inexcusable.

In addition, Mandy now forces applicants to submit their Mandy profile as their "resume," when applying, instead of the option to only send a PDF resume and PDF cover letter. Experienced pros have too many credits to use a simple profile as a resume. Ugh! If these Low Rate and Resume Issues continue, many long term Mandy users will drop the membership and $15/mo dues, and move permanently to more professional job sites.

I have been using Mandy for a long time and I have seen the site change over the years. The new site is not as good as the old one. I have noticed that there are a lot of low paying jobs on the site now. This is not good for experienced professionals like me. We need to be paid a fair wage for our work. The low paying jobs are taking away from the standard industry rates.

Mandy needs to do something about this. They need to enforce the low rate/no pay postings and make sure they are in the right section. The opportunities section is where they should be. The jobs section should be for experienced professionals who are looking for work that pays a fair wage.

Another issue I have with the new site is that Mandy now forces applicants to submit their Mandy profile as their "resume." This is not good for experienced professionals like me. We have too many credits to use a simple profile as a resume. We need to be able to send a PDF resume and PDF cover letter.

If Mandy does not fix these issues, I will have to find another job site. I don't want to pay $15 a month for a site that does not help me find good paying jobs. I hope Mandy listens to its users and makes the changes that are needed.

Mandy Mandy.com and Other Job Listing Sites: Are They Worth the Money?

Been in the film industry for 15 years now, and I remember when Mandy.com was a great resource to find work. I got my first few jobs from there, and they were high-level festival-quality films with professional crews. Nowadays, I feel like all these job listing sites, including Mandy, Media-Match, and Findfilmwork.com (Below The Line Magazine), are just making money off the vast amount of people in the industry looking for work. I tried Mandy for two years, and I never got contacted for any job I applied for except one time. I got one interview for a production that said they were in talks with Netflix, only to find out that it was two girls who recently graduated from film school, had no experience, and no meeting with Netflix. I also never received callbacks from any production on Below The Line Listings. What's worse is that even after I canceled, they kept charging me, and I had to work with my bank for six months straight to get these guys to stop. I think these sites just turned into money-makers. I wouldn't be surprised if many listings are false, and they put out just enough to keep people interested. The only thing that would keep me interested is seeing results. The sad truth is that not many films are filming in LA anymore. Most are going to other states or Canada. The best thing is to contact your state's film commission to see what's in production. It's free.

Mandy Mandy.com's Canadian VO Premium: A Disappointing Scam for Voiceover Artists

I'm a VO artist from Canada and I want to share my experience using Mandy.com's Canadian VO Premium version. Let me tell you, it's been a rollercoaster ride.

First of all, let's talk about the auditions. You're only allowed to see auditions for jobs in the country you live in. This makes no sense for VO work, as most of the advertised auditions are for performers with home studios. In other words, they could hire anyone, anywhere to do the job. My current and past freelance VO clients are all in the US or the UK. It's frustrating to see auditions for jobs that I can't even apply for.

Secondly, most of the jobs posted pay less than minimum wage or want you to work for "exposure". There are never any union gigs up for grabs. It's disheartening to see the lack of respect for our craft and the low pay that's being offered.

Thirdly, most of the jobs posted in the VO section are for Radio Announcers/Hosts. These are usually the kind of jobs that are posted under "journalism" as they usually require at least 3 years experience in the Radio Production or Journalism fields. It's not really relevant to VO artists.

Fourthly, most of the auditions are widely posted elsewhere for free. So why pay for a subscription to Mandy.com when you can find the same auditions for free on other websites?

Fifthly, their support claims that they post about 200 VO auditions monthly. The number is closer to 20-30. It's disappointing to see false advertising.

Sixthly, I got creepy messages from randos who liked my photo. It's uncomfortable and unprofessional.

Seventhly, they have a feature so you can see how many people with Mandy accounts are viewing your profile and how many times you come up in searches. In theory, this is a great feature. In reality, 9 times out of 10 the only people viewing your profile are other VO artists looking for work. It's not really helpful.

Lastly, you cannot view the profiles of potential employers, even if they send you messages or make you an offer. It's frustrating to not be able to research the people you're potentially working with.

Overall, Mandy.com reeks of scam. I don't think it's intentional, the platform is just badly researched and ignorant of how the VO industry works or the kinds of features that VO artists need. Save your money and look elsewhere for auditions.

Mandy Disappointing Experience with Mandy: A Review of Acting Classes and Coaches on the Site

As an aspiring actor from Toronto, I have been searching for some really good training to get into the business. However, my experience with Mandy has been quite disappointing. I have tried checking out some of the classes on the website, but I ended up wasting my time and money with these so-called acting coaches who couldn't teach me anything to improve my acting ability.

All I got from these classes were some stupid silly improv and pointless mind games where I had to think of things in my personal life to force out emotions. I do not believe this is how acting works. "True acting" is about storytelling and putting yourself in the situation by really feeling whatever is happening in the story. These people, who I wouldn't mention any names, don't even own a real acting studio but instead run the so-called classes from their homes, hotels, basements, etc.

I haven't been to all of the classes on the website, just to let you know, since I was trying to find good affordable training but couldn't find an actual teacher that owns a real studio and has real teaching experiences. I don't understand why this site has these people around as I can see this could be a good resource for any aspiring actor like myself to find real training to get into the acting industry.

I know this place is good for getting involved in short films to gain experiences and places to audition seem legit since they are run by colleges out there. But what's the point of that when you can't get good training to prepare yourself to audition for these films? I am very disappointed and have lost some hope of getting into the industry. However, I would like to see some changes to improve the site by preventing anyone from being scammed by these frauds I had encountered so far.

Overall, I think Mandy has potential to be a great resource for aspiring actors, but it needs to do a better job of vetting the coaches and teachers who offer classes on the site. It's important to have real professionals who can provide quality training and help actors improve their craft. I hope that Mandy takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary changes to improve the site for everyone.

Mandy Mandy.com Review: Arrogant Users and Low Pay Make It a Farce

So, I've been using Mandy for a while now and I have to say, it's not the best. It used to be "OK" when it was free, but now that you have to pay, it's a bit of a farce. I've been in the industry for over 10 years, working on international films and TV shows, and I've paid for a monthly subscription a couple of times just to see the info about a couple of specific jobs.

My negative rating isn't just because it's a bad site, because it's actually alright. You can create a profile page, upload your CV and list your contact details and references. However, the main issue is that it's populated by arrogant and ignorant wankers who don't know what they're doing or anything about the industry.

Even when I was starting out and looking for unpaid opportunities, I probably only received one reply from every hundred applications if I was lucky. And now that I have a strong portfolio and I'm seeking paid work, the pay is often pitiful. My day rate is more than what's offered for a feature film!

Another issue is that people posting jobs on Mandy should learn that if they're offering very low or no pay, they shouldn't have ridiculous demands of applicants to be professional experts with 50 feature film credits, able to provide a Dolby Atmos studio in the heart of Soho for 6 months free of charge, have Scorsese, Spielberg and Tarantino's numbers on speed dial, be able to secure an international release deal and bring Hitchcock back from the dead to direct their film. But it's okay, because you'll get an IMDB credit and a copy of the DVD for your hard work.

If it was still free, I wouldn't have written this review. But since it has cost me money, I thought I'd relay some facts. Hopefully, someone will provide a solution soon by setting up a free, user-serviced website to provide competition and get film industry staff working more collaboratively.

UPDATE: It's been a while since I originally posted this review and I still haven't gotten a single job from Mandy.

Mandy Mandy (Casting Call Pro) Review: A Game-Changer Turned Disappointment

I'm an actor with 7 years of experience, and I have to say that Mandy (or Casting Call Pro, as it was known before it was bought out) was a game-changer for me. It gave me the opportunity to gain valuable experience and make contacts that I still work with today. The platform was great for finding corporate work, short and student films, and fringe theatre. The interface was intuitive and helpful, and the range of features allowed me to take ownership of my career. I could track my applications and see their status, which was really helpful. The cost of an annual subscription was easily recouped.

However, since Mandy was bought out by Backstage, things have gone downhill. The quality of the jobs on the site has diminished rapidly. Most of the jobs seem to be teaching, immersive experiences for parties and shopping centers, and badly paid corporate work. It's frustrating that Mandy never monitored the rates being offered, which meant that commercial and corporate jobs often exploited actors by offering insultingly low rates. I've flagged this issue in the past, but nothing was done about it. Sadly, there is even less chance of user concerns being addressed now that the customer service department appears to have become automated. Many actors have offered negative feedback on the changes, but there has been no real response from Mandy.

It seems that Mandy is headed in the direction of Star Now, another subsidiary of Backstage. They lure early-career actors to pay to access castings that won't do much for their careers. I've been with Mandy for 8 years, but I'm on the verge of leaving the platform for the first time. I've always been an advocate for Mandy, despite its critics and those in the industry who advised against it. However, I can no longer recommend joining. There are other emerging platforms out there, and I have no doubt that usership will drop as a result of the unconsidered changes being made and the poor customer service being offered.

Mandy Mandy Casting Review: Is it Worth the Investment for UK Actors?

Mandy used to be a decent free casting site with a few job postings. However, things changed when it acquired Actors Pro and Voices Pro and started charging subscribers in the same way as APro and VPro always had done. Despite advertising itself as the No1 casting website for UK Actors, it is not. Spotlight is the real deal.

Some people think that Mandy is a scam, but it is not. It is a simple P2P (pay to play) website. You pay to get access to castings just like you do (and your agent does) on Spotlight and Casting Networks. However, the pay rates are not as high as they used to be. They are now closer to those of extras and supporting artistes.

Occasionally, you may come across high budget commercial castings on Mandy. However, they do not reveal who the casting director is, and often omit exact casting dates and filming dates. You can always find these same jobs already featured on Spotlight or Casting Networks with more information. Such jobs are often for ethnic minorities, specific language skills, or specific physical skills that possibly are harder to find on Spotlight.

In my experience, I have never landed a high paying commercial casting job that I've applied for on Mandy or Actors Pro. It seems like Mandy is more of a just-in-case fallback option, an if-all-else-fails type thing. Most of the jobs posted on the site are low pay ones either posted by students, low budget film producers or cost cutting media companies. They are genuine jobs but mostly serve only to drive performers' rates of pay down and down.

Mandy used to have a really useful feature where they showed you when your audition had been viewed and even at what time of day. However, the time of day was then removed, but you could still tell if your profile had been viewed and if your reel had been viewed by that employer. Then it became harder to see if your audition clip/demo had been watched or not. Finally, they gave us all the chance to see how many non-human bots had viewed our profile in a given time period, as if that was some kind useful tool!

It's not very expensive, and you get a discount if you're already a basic Actors Guild member. However, to be frank, it really is pretty much a waste of time becoming a Premium member unless you just want to up your credits or pay some bills, or work for low rates, in which case, fine, but don't expect to hit the big time there.

Mandy Mandy: A Visually Stunning Journey Through Vengeance and the Human Psyche

Mandy is a visually stunning movie that explores the depths of vengeance and the human psyche. Director Panos Cosmatos takes us on a journey through the eyes of Red (Nicolas Cage) and Mandy (Andrea Riseborough), a couple living a simple life in the wilderness. The movie is set in 1983 near the Shadow Mountains, and the cinematography by Benjamin Loebis captures the vastness of the wilderness in wide shots.

The story of Mandy is very straightforward, but the aesthetics are there to try to fill in the grey areas. The score from the late J?hann J?hannsson does a great job in keeping the tension and also heightening the importance of the battles that Red goes through. The movie is a love letter to a time where horror movies had a combination of otherworldly visuals and contemporary special effects to show the sheer brutality of either revenge or evil.

The real question of what's real and what's not is explored in Mandy. The drug use, LSD in particular, makes you question the validity of what you're watching. Are there really bikers from hell? Are we in a hallucinogenic journey of something as simple as the casualty of loss and the internal makeup of cults? Cosmatos plays with the fringes of reality to where you can determine which route you can go.

One of the standouts of this movie is the performance of Nicolas Cage as a man who has lost the thing that's dear to him. Red's descent into vengeful madness is a journey that takes us to one of the most powerful scenes. You don't get to hear Red's reaction as Mandy spoiler gets killed. Only the aftermath is shown, first with exhaustion and shock, and one of sadness and rage as he's in the bathroom. It's a very human transition that Cage does convincingly.

The movie is very personal and restricted, with not many characters. This makes it a confined story, and you'll see this in the over-the-shoulder shots of Red driving his car or how the camera focuses on Red's non-verbal cues. The Children of The New Dawn pass through and their leader with Buffalo Bill like tendencies, Jeremiah Sand (Linus Roache) sees Mandy and becomes obsessed with her. Without going too much into her backstory, the movie conveys that Mandy has a magnetism to the men around her. It goes from love to outright toxicity. Riseborough does a great job in showing this with her facial expressions during the slow camera shots.

There are parts of the movie that reveal themselves like acts that have animated titles. When you get to the 2nd and 3rd acts, that's where the real depravity of this cult starts to show itself and its sinister motives for the couple. The cinematography by Benjamin Loebis conveys this in two ways. Loeb works together with Cosmatos's vision to show the vastness of the wilderness, often in wide shots.

Color is used in a spectacular way as an atmospheric plot device. When the Children of The New Dawn arrive in a scene, especially with Sand, they are engulfed in red light. As Red is going on his murderous recourse of revenge, red is usually trailing him. Strobes of color are utilized when the cult or the Black Skulls are doing something or arriving somewhere. The real instances of light are used in fire?a motif that comes up in two key parts of the movie. Fire is a "cleansing" agent. Jeremiah uses fire to clear the "instance" where his power was questioned. Red uses fire in the accumulation of his journey of retaliation.

Overall, Mandy is an aesthetically pleasing callback that feeds on vengeance within a nightmare. It's an experience that is meant to appeal to the viewer at both the sensory and visceral levels. The movie is a must-watch for fans of horror and Nicolas Cage.

Mandy Waste of time, money and effort

As previously mentioned, it used to be "OK" when it was free, but it's a farce now you have to pay. I've 10 years+ of professional experience on international films and TV but have paid a couple of times for a monthly subscription so I can see the info about a couple of specific jobs.

Mandy Mandy.com Review: Fishy Job Listings and Paid Service

I'm not too sure about Mandy.com. I mean, why would a company only choose to have their listings with Mandy? It's a paid service, which means that very few crew members will sign up for it. Companies want to have access to as many people as possible, right? They can easily advertise on Craigslist, Indeed, which doesn't charge people to view submissions. That way, they will get a lot more candidates than Mandy.

The listings on Mandy also seem fake to me. No one I know has ever gotten a job from paying the subscription. I have tons of experience and have never received even an interview request. Ever. It's pretty frustrating, to be honest. There's no way to even know the company's name that's advertising or if it even exists (it doesn't) because they don't give out the company's name. Legitimate companies advertise the name of their company because they want to get the best candidates.

I'm not saying that Mandy is a scam, but it definitely seems fishy to me. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a job in the film or TV industry. There are plenty of other websites out there that are free and have legitimate job listings. Don't waste your time or money on Mandy.

Mandy Mandy.com Review: From Great Resource to Highway Robbery

I've been using Mandy for a decade now, and boy have things changed. Back in the day, it was a great resource for finding short-term production jobs. But about three years ago, things took a turn for the worse.

Suddenly, users were being charged ?30 a month or ?200 a year just to read job descriptions and apply. I mean, come on! That's just insulting. And to make matters worse, they found some loophole in some "advertising" law to justify it.

But it doesn't end there. Now, people have to pay over ?200 a year just to have access to the site. That's absolutely ridiculous! I could maybe understand if it was a couple of quid to apply for a job, but ?200?! That's highway robbery!

Honestly, people need to stop giving them money. If we all stop paying, maybe they'll either disappear for good or rethink their business model. It's like they say, "vote with your wallet."

It's a shame, really. Mandy used to be a great resource. But like most businesses, it was better before it got bought out by a bigger, more evil fish.

Mandy Mandy Crews Review: Scammy Behavior, Fake Inquiries, and Personal Info Sharing

I gotta say, my experience with Mandy Crews has been less than stellar. I mean, I signed up hoping to find some legit job opportunities in the film and TV industry, but all I've gotten so far are a bunch of fake inquiries. It's like, come on, Mandy, can't you do better than this?

The thing is, it's not hard to spot the fakes if you do a little digging. I mean, these scammers are so lazy that they don't even bother to get their stories straight. Like, they'll claim to be based in the US, but then their website says they're in London. It's like, seriously? You think I'm that dumb?

What really grinds my gears, though, is the fact that Mandy Crews is giving out my personal info to these shady characters. Like, what the heck, man? Do you not care about your users' safety? I shudder to think what could happen to someone who doesn't do their research and falls for one of these scams.

And don't even get me started on the whole paying-to-apply thing. Like, seriously, Mandy? You expect me to fork over my hard-earned cash just for the privilege of applying to a job? That's some straight-up scammy behavior right there.

I've tried to get my profile removed from the site multiple times, but it's like talking to a brick wall. Mandy Crews just ignores me and keeps on doing their thing. It's frustrating as heck, and it's made me lose all faith in this site.

I haven't spent a dime on Mandy Crews, and after my experience as a regular member, I don't plan on it. If you're thinking about signing up, I'd say proceed with caution. There are definitely some red flags to watch out for.

Mandy Navigating the Sketchy Side of Mandy: A Review of the Pros and Cons of the Platform

I've had some pretty good experiences with Mandy, I gotta say. I've landed a few gigs that I really enjoyed and even caught the attention of some casting directors who were on the hunt for some specific skills that I had to offer. It was pretty sweet, I won't lie.

But let me tell you, you gotta be real careful when you're applying for jobs on there. Some of them are offering pay that's so low, it's practically criminal (even though they try to make it seem like it's not at first). And don't even get me started on the commercials that are advertised as being in perpetuity, with no limits on where they'll be shown. That's some shady stuff right there.

And then there are the projects that just seem downright dodgy. Like, I remember applying for this writing feature film once and they sent me the script and everything. But then they asked me to send pictures of myself in a bikini and whether or not I'd be cool with rehearsing any sex scenes with the director. Um, excuse me? That's not cool.

It's a real bummer that Mandy doesn't seem to have any ethics or rules or anything to protect people from that kind of stuff. It's up to each individual to keep themselves safe, which is kind of messed up if you ask me. But hey, if you're willing to sift through all the sketchy stuff, there are some decent opportunities to be found on there. Just be careful, alright?

Mandy Mandy: A Frustrating Job Search Resource for Entertainment Industry Newcomers

Mandy used to be a great resource for finding jobs in the entertainment industry. It was completely free to use, but now they have changed their policy. You can only apply for five jobs per month unless you buy a premium membership. And now, it seems that you can't even apply at all unless you pay. This is really frustrating for people who are just starting out in the industry and don't have a lot of money to spend.

I used to have a premium membership, but it recently expired. Even when I did have it, I found that many of the job postings would redirect me to the employer's site to apply. This defeats the purpose of using Mandy in the first place. It used to be quick and easy to apply for jobs within the site, but now it's just not worth it anymore.

Instead of using Mandy, I have started keeping a spreadsheet of NYC production companies that have been posting jobs over the years. I will just start bugging them on my own as I see fit. It's interesting to see how often some companies seem to re-post the same job. Are they hiring the wrong people, or are they a toxic environment? It's hard to say, but it's definitely something to keep in mind.

I have also noticed that I had much more luck with Mandy years ago when I was younger and less experienced. There were infinitely fewer production venues back then, so it was easier to stand out. Nowadays, it's much harder to get noticed. It's a shame that Mandy has become so difficult to use, but I guess that's just the way things go sometimes.

Mandy The Frustration of Paying to Apply for Jobs in the Entertainment Industry

I just don't get it, why do we have to pay to apply for jobs in this industry? It's not like we're making big bucks here. I've tried StarNow and it's a complete waste of time. Spotlight is just too expensive, it's like they only want the rich and famous to apply. That's why I think Mandy and Backstage are the better options for us working professionals. After all, we're only making ?50 per show, and that's after 4 long years in the industry.

But here's the thing, every time I look for job opportunities on Mandy, I can't apply unless I pay for a subscription. And even then, they say there's no fee for the job. So, what's the point of paying to apply for a job that doesn't even pay you? It's like they're saying, "Hey, you gotta spend money to make money." But with my ?80,000 student debt, personal liability insurance, headshots, showreel, and home recording equipment, it seems like the spending never stops.

I can't say much more about Mandy, to be honest. I'm only writing this review to get a 7-day free trial, which I'm sure will be a waste of time. I doubt I'll get any paid job from it. But hey, at least it's something, right?

Mandy Mandy Review: Not Worth the Money or Hassle for Crew and Talent

Mandy used to be alright, but now it's not so great. If you're a crew or talent, this site is not the best for you. I find that I get more gigs just by reaching out to my personal network. Crew members are already being taken advantage of in this industry, and Mandy just makes it worse by limiting opportunities to specific regions. Plus, it's not fair that you have to pay just for the chance to get a gig - there's no guarantee that you'll actually get it. This is a pretty shady way of doing things, and it's not good for the industry as a whole.

As for talent, you're already paying a percentage to your agent, so having to pay again just to maybe get a gig is not ideal. It's basically cutting into your pay, and who wants that? I tried using Mandy for two months to see if it would make a difference, but it didn't. I didn't get any more gigs than I was already getting on my own.

If you want to save yourself some money and frustration, I recommend joining Facebook groups instead. They're free, and you might have better luck finding gigs that way. Overall, I wouldn't recommend Mandy to anyone. It's just not worth the money or the hassle.

Mandy Mandy.com Review: A Useful Resource for Creative Job Seekers, but Is It Worth the Premium Membership?

Mandy.com is a really good website for people who are trying to make it in the creative arts industry. It's like Backstage and other similar websites where you can find lots of job listings and opportunities. You can even pay for a Premium membership which gives you more access to opportunities and lets you upload more pictures on your profile. I think it's a bit of a shame that you have to pay for this, because most people who are trying to make it in the industry are already on a tight budget. But I guess that's just how it is these days.

Overall, I think Mandy.com is a really useful resource for anyone who is looking for work in the creative arts industry. However, I would also recommend looking for Facebook Groups in your local area that list casting opportunities. These groups are completely free and can be just as helpful as Mandy.com. But if you're looking for opportunities further afield, then Mandy.com is definitely worth checking out.

Mandy Mandy.com Review: Disappointing Experience with Fake Job Ads and No Response from Customer Service

I've been using Mandy.com for almost three years now and I have to say, it's been a pretty disappointing experience. I've been working in the cinema industry for over 10 years and have 15 years of experience overall, so I know what I'm doing. It's not like I'm not qualified for the jobs I'm applying for.

One of the biggest issues I have with Mandy is that there's no way to tell which job postings are actually legitimate. It would be really helpful if they had a "reply rate" feature so you could see which organizations actually respond to applicants. As it is, I feel like I'm just throwing my applications into a black hole.

I've also noticed that there seem to be a lot of fake job ads on the site. I suspect that some of them are created by Mandy's own staff to make the site look more active than it really is. It's frustrating to spend time applying for jobs that don't actually exist.

Overall, I've only received responses to about 2% of the applications I've submitted through Mandy. That's a pretty dismal success rate. I've had much better luck finding work through other channels.

I've tried to raise these concerns with Mandy's customer service team, but I've never received a response. It's pretty frustrating to pay for a service and then not even get a basic level of support.

Honestly, I'm not even sure if Mandy is a legitimate site. I would recommend avoiding it like the bubonic plague.

Mandy This website is not great anymore

I really used to like Mandy for its popularity and well-organized job, and well-designed website. But something has changed and everything went wrong. Now for logging into the website, you have to put your personal information. But I'm not going to share my private information with people I don't know. Nobody guarantees you won't use it for fraud purposes.
Probably, you have changed the management and they decided to improve the website.
You did it for nothing. It used to be great and didn't need any improvements.

Mandy Mandy used to be a good site

Mandy used to be a good site and I really liked it. But that was then and now things are a lot different. When I wasn't able to log into my account I contacted Mandy customer service and asked for help. Their rep asked me ridiculous questions that made no sense. And then they said they need photo of my ID and card. I refused to do that and they said that without that information they are not able to help me. Total scam!
