Mandara Spa / Terrible service
I was an employee at the mandara spa downtown at the hilton. i just want to say that as an employee, i was very mistreated. but i wasn't the only one. The management there is RIDICULOUS! They play favorites, talk behind each other and employees backs and talk about personal issues that concern employees out in the open. There aren't supposed to be any inner office relationships there and the spa manager herself is dating one of the massage therapist.
My friend missed a couple of days of work because she had a miscarriage. when she informed the spa manager of the reason for the missed days, the manager replied "well there's nothing you can do about it so get over it". the spa manager's name is chelsea and the supervisor that i am talking about is Anna. I called the human resources manager, Clarice, to discuss my last check. i left several messages and she didn't return my call. claiming that she needed more info. Well my thing is, i left my name and call back number every single time. i had to track her down and when i got a hold of her, she was very rude. I asked her why was my check shorted a certain amount of hours. she replied, "i don't know when you worked. you tell me." she was very very rude to me. These people are very unprofessional and everyone needs to know it.
THIS IS NOT A GOOD PLACE TO WORK or GET SERVICES DONE. The water and tea they serve is out of dirty containers that are never washed with soap. they are barely rinsed out. The water jugs are filled with water from the bathroom. The slippers are not always cleaned and when they are, it is not very well. The fruit served to the customers is kept in the closet with the cleaning supplies and robes. The robes are very very dingy and the clean laundry is brought back in in the same bin the dirty laundry is taken out of.
