Makro Online service

I ordered a tv online on the 23rd of November. They said delivery will take 5 working days. After the 5 working days when I still haven't received the tv I phoned the support line and the lady said it will be delivered the next day or the day after that. This past Tuesday, 5 December I phoned again because the tv was still not delivered and the lady said I must give them change until Thursday 7 December. On Thursday, 7 December I phone once AGAIN and the lady said she can see the status says ready for collection and I said I'm not collecting I paid a delivery fee and she said no for the courier company and I know it does not take so long for a courier company to collect something. I then asked her so what must I do, just sit and wait for them and her reply was YES! Wich I think is highly unprofessional of her as they said delivery will take 5 working days and it's already 12 days that I'm waiting. After I spoke to her I phoned a different number and explained everything again and told him about the lady who said I must wait... he then asked me to stay on the line as he is phoning the store. After few minutes he said he did speak to someone at the store and they will phone me back. Today is 8 December, still no tv and still no one has contacted me back. My order number: MAK702506.

Makro Online ordered made and not delivered

I placed and paid for an online order with Makro online on 26 Nov 2017. Order number MAK740280 . I then emailed 10 days later and received no reply (online.[protected]@makro.co.za) and [protected]@makro.co.za. I phoned their online helpline [protected] as well as [protected] and was hung up or never answered- I did this 5 times. Today is the 07 of Dec 2017 and I am still not in possession of my items and am unable to get any response from Makro on what is happening or been refunded.

Ordered on 24/11/2017 online/Black Friday-still not received
Had to track to know what's happening. Only to find out order is awaiting courier service(Wum Drop) to collect, indefinitely, from Alberton branch.The worst was that I had to provide them with proof of my order-how's that for an organised retailer?Pathetic and annoying if you ask me!

Had to follow up on Alberton branch again today(07/12/2017) still hearing the same story about waiting for the courier to collect, was even asked if i could come collect the items- how's that for the convenience of ordering online and saving you time.Worse of all, these items were meant to be gifts for people to give before I go on vacation next week, and i don't see it happening, thanks to Makro Alberton store.Up to this moment, still no word about my delivery.Very, very poor servic!

Makro Online r50k online order 14 working days and still no delivery! mak464632

I purchased almost r50k worth of prizes for a company incentive on the 15th november. Payment was done by the 17th november. It is now 14 working days later and still no delivery has been made. I have contacted the call centre and even lerato who is the national customer services manager at head office. She has been absolutely no help, not even the decency to respond to my emails or calls. Has been promising me delivery since wednesday 29th november. Told me the stock is coming from the centurion branch and that they are not doing their job. When I track my order online... Last week it reflected my order was cancelled. This week I cannot even log in to check my order. It is like my online profile and login has disappeared completely. I am trying to contact someone... Anyone... And no one answers their phone. And here I sit not even knowing if I will ever get my stock?

Makro Online defrauded by makro crown mines!!!

Defrauded by Makro Crown Mines!

I purchased a Samsung 65 inch curve television from Makro Crown mines branch on the 22 November 2017. To date I have not received delivery of my television. 1. I personally went into the store this past Friday to enquire what the issue was. 2. I was than promised by your consultant Tyrone from the Television department that the television will be delivered that Saturday or Monday at latest. 3. To date that has not happened... 4. Since Monday we have been following up with Rosetta from the delivery department with no joy. 5. We contacted her again and she informed us that someone has checked out our television on the 24 November and they need to review footage with security to see who has stolen it. 6. I than logged an enquiry with ********** and to date have not have any response from them. 7. I than called the store again requesting to speak to the store manager only to be put through to Nicolas from Multimedia, he has still not been able to resolve. I have had to continuously call him with no resolve to date, 7 December 2017 If there is fraud going on at Makro, why is it being ignored and why is the consumer having to follow up with no resolve. I have purchased a television yet I have received no goods - this is fraud! My understanding is: 1. First of all any investigation of this sort needs to be dealt with by the store and has nothing to do with the client. 2. Second of all we have purchased / paid for a television from Makro, as clients we need to receive our item purchased. I am disgusted with Makro and as a consumer I should not be treated in this matter. As consumers we have rights too! I am of the opinion that I have been defrauded by Makro, and I would like this matter resolved!

Makro Online non delivery of defy freezer

I ordered a freezer from the Makro website thinking that it would be delivered quickly (2-5 days). It has been 8 days and it has not arrived.
I received an email saying that they are experiencing delays in processing their orders - why didn't you tell me this at checkout before wasting my time.
You can't get hold of them on the phone.
They don't respond to emails.
At this stage I just want a refund.
These guys suck.

Makro Online assessment note 2466073

I gave a hoover wet&dry vacuum cleaner in on 4 nov 2017. We purchased it before from Makro. It was giving a burny smell when used. I was helped by Lindiwe Mnguni who said maybe it just needs a service- it will be given in- i will get a quotation within the 2nd week of giving it in . I received only 1 sms that makro took it in . To date i received no quotation .
50 phone calls later...After i spoke to lindiwe, mongezi, annelie and eventually a Bonto in marketing on 4 december.
No ONE can still tell me where the vacuum cleaner is.
I was told that they will go find out, .. i was told they don't know where it is. I was told they will find out and let me know...And so on and so on ..And so i am still waiting just to hear if it has been found or not as it is not at the repair company and it cannot be found..How much longer or how many more calls will it take to find out anything...This is very poor service as not one of these people have actually made the effort to phone me back

Makro Online online order delivery

Good day I placed an order on the 30th November, order number MAK741368.
I have phoned numerous times and the [protected] number rings and then goes dead. No one answers the phones. I have emailed 3 times and have had no response.
I eventually got through to a team leader Lerato who was no help and tole me the SLA turn around time was 2 - 5 working days. Well it is now day 7 and still no stock delivered. The service is pathetic and unprofessional to say the least for such a big franchise. This is not the first time Makro has messed up my order. They short deliver, deliver to the wrong address and then take 2 days to sort it out. Not impressed.

Makro Online online shopping experience

I placed an online order for a Smartphone on the 25th November and paid in full for 2-5 day delivery selecting the Silver Lakes branch.the site showed stock available at silver lakes, by wednesday i had received no calls or emails, when i called they said that they don't have stock and will receive by friday, to date i have received no calls or emails and still haven't received my R4069.99 smartphone.Silver lakes online department have not called and do not take my calls, I've requested a refund online and via email as telephone calls are ignored, my emails have also been ignored.I am at work from 6am until 7pm so don't have time to go to a branch and get my refund from them.Absolutely shocking service from what is supposed to be an international company.Nobody from= makro has bothered to assist in any way at all.It seems their gameplan was to collect as much money from customers for black friday and then mess the around for as long as possible enjoying the benefits of the extra cash flow at hardworking peoples expense.They owe me and so many others our money back with interest!

Makro Online non delivery of online purchase

I did an online order on 24th Nov-for collection. Its been 10 days, numerous calls to Springfiels Makro - they all go unanswered. 7 calls to your call centre & many conversations with many MANY people (Shipo, Jenny, Sharon...) "getting right on it & calling me back". After 3 more calls apparently there are ZERO managers on duty in the Makro call center. NONE ZERO ZIP no one higher than an operator works there. Many promises of Jeany Folds calling me back etc.. the list goes on and on... The levels of lying by your agents & complete disregard for my purchase is disgusting.
Guess what?
NOT 1 word that my order is ready & NOT 1 phone call returned. The service I have received it of an extremely poor quality and this is not the first time I have had to change online orders for weeks - even been told that there is no more stock available after weeks have passed.
You have my money, I dont have my products - that is theft.
I want to collect tomorrow - make this happen.

While there may be a large number of orders to full that does not explain why there is ZERO feedback, ZERO notification that my order will be delayed. When I call the call center (which i have done 12 times) and an consultant promises that they will call be back with confirmation of delivery - there is ZERO call back. I have called the store numerous time with the same non result - as either no one answers the phones or the managers are "out at the moment" all the time.
It is now the 12 December - which makes my order 2.5 weeks old and I still have not received a single email, sms or phone call with regards to my order. You have my money & I do not have my product, what you have committed is fraud - you took my money and have not delivered the item within the 5-7 working days as per your terms an conditions. Your companies lack of commitment to my self and the hundreds of others in the same situation shows a lack of business ethics. You should not have online sales if you cannot fulfill orders as this poor service is through out the year not just at peak times. Oh and marking my request for delivery on Facebook as spam to cover your poor delivery performance, is disgusting.

Makro Online pathetic customer service

I ordered and paid for a camera online on 23/11 from the Montague Gardens branch. I selected to collect the item at the store. After payment was done I receive no payment notification from Makro and my online status remains at order in progress until today 30/11. I contacted the store to track my purchase and the lady who helped me told me that my item is not yet ready for collection and that I will be notified in 2-5 days. 7 days later I still receive no info from them. What frustrates me is that this item was "in stock" at the time of purchase so why do I have to wait this long to collect something that is in stock ? Today I receive an email to say that my item will be delivered soon... no date no time.. just "soon"?. Why would makro even send me a robotic email that states I will receive a delivery when I specifically requested an in store collection. My order number is MAK709170 All I want to know is when will it be ready for collection. Simple as that ! Even an estimated time for collection will be appreciated. I have never received such bad service from on online purchase before.

Makro Online absolutely pathetic services!!! don't buy from makro

Reading every review over the Black Friday period is an absolute disgrace. People pay thousands to hope to receive their items in a timely manner.
Makro doesn't care to respond or follow through with a positive outcome to resolve most of the clients requests.

Makro is going to be left with a tarnished reputation after this. But at this rate, it doesn't look like they care.

And yes, I am a disgruntled customer still waiting for my order too !

Makro Online ps 4 @r3999 ordered black friday

On the 24 Nov 2017 I purchased a PS4 online I received a message that says payment successful (see attached) and I called on Monday 27 (makro silverlakes)and I was advised that the most important thing is the MAK number. I was told I will receive an SMS for collection to my surprise when I visited Makro on the 29 Nov 2017 im now told about 48 hours. I have proof dat there was money in the account. This has broken the promise to my son, I am a bad parent now.

Can i please be treated like a customer who followed all the process and be given the order I placed.

Makro Online my order number mak698430 not delivered as yet. no trace of my order.

I Mr S.J.Boyce ordered the 24" Totem black and yellow bicycle for my son on the 22nd of November 2017.I paid R1999.00 for the bike plus R70 delivery fee via Internet banking.I do have proof that shows I paid R2069.Nobody at Montague Gardens Makro can tell me when will I receive my order.They don't even know the exact location of my order.All they do is asking me to phone the online support line.Online support terminated my call, or put me on hold for up to 10 minutes.I want the bike before the end of this week.If this is how you do business I will not deal with you ever again.Takealot is one million times better and more professional than you.

I will love to share my testimony to all the people in the forum cos I never thought i will have my girlfriend back and she means so much to me. The girl I want to get marry to left me few weeks to our wedding for another man. When I called her she never picked my calls, She blocked me on her facebook and changed her facebook status from engage to Single, when I went to her place of work she told her boss she never want to see me. I lost my job as a result of this cos I couldn't get myself anymore, my life was upside down and everything did not go smooth with my life. I tried all I could do to have her back to all did not work out until I met a Man when I travel to East to execute some business that I have been developing some years back. I told him my problem and all I have passed through in getting her back and how I lost my job, he told me he gonna help me, I didn't believe that in the first place. But he swore he will help me out and he told me the reason why my girlfriend left me and also told me some hidden secrets’ was amazed when I heard that from him...he said he will cast a spell for me and I will see the results in the next couple of days..then I travel back, the following day and i called him when I got home and he said he’s busy casting those spells and he has bought all the materials needed for the spells, he said am gonna see positive results in the next 14 days that is Thursday. My girlfriend called me at exactly 12:35pm on Thursday and apologies for all she had done. She said, she never knew what she was doing and her sudden behavior was not intentional and she promised not to do that again. It was like am dreaming when I heard that from her and when we ended the call, I called the man and told him my girl friend called and he said I haven’t seen anything yet… he said I will also get my job back. And when its Sunday, they called me at my place of work that I should resume work on Monday and they gonna compensate me for the time limit I have spent at home without working...My life is back into shape have my girlfriend back and we are happily married now with a baby boy and I have my job back too. This man is really powerful...if we have up to 20 people like him in the world, the world would have been a better place...He has also helped many of my friends to solve many problems and they are all happy now...Am posting this to the forum for anybody that is interested in meeting the man for help. I can’t believe I’m actually writing a testimony. Thanks to Dr. Twaha! What a valley my family has been through. My husband said he was done, he said he wanted a divorce. There was another woman who once told me she will do anything to have my man by her side; he said he was miserable with me. I wanted to run away and disappear at first, but something stopped me in my tracks. I had the desire in my heart to stand for my marriage and then I came across Dr. Twaha website. Thank God for Dr. Twaha! I was told from various places that I officially had an ‘out’ from my marriage, but I didn’t want out. I felt the tug of my marriage vows and knew this whole situation was bigger than me. I praise God that I didn’t submit to my hurt and emotions. The circumstances were horrible. Makro Online whirlpool front loader washing machine

I ordereda Whirlpool washing machine online & while I was finishing off the payment, a message popped up to say there was an error with my order, but take note the money went off my accout! I then phoned the same day to find out what happened & was informed that they have received my order & would sms me between 2-5 working days while the store would be processing my order. Today the 22/11/17 & 6 days later, I phoned again as no sms received yet. I spoke to Nolwazi who kindly informed me that they have run out of stock & as soon as they receive new stock I would be notified via sms. I do not find this acceptable service at all, why do they advertise goods on Black Friday if they know they will run out of stock or are out of stock! I am so livid and will never support Makro again. I will also make it known to all my friends. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told that he is not in today (yeah very convenient)? This kind of thing is just shocking and NOT acceptable at all!

Makro Online black friday

Good day

I am very upset and furious with the false advertisement that you guys advertised on black Friday.

On the catalog it was advertised that Ps4(337059) was for R3999.99 when we arrived at the till the amount changed to R4999.00. And on the catalog it showed that the special was only available from the 24-26 November and I called Marker(veal) on Thursday to find out if is still PlayStation(337059) are available, they had advised yes.
The package had the same games and same amount of gig(500) but the price changed, I stood there with the manager but they couldn't give me an answer and was told the price is different and its not the same ps4 advertised.
A lot of customer were very angry about the matter. I bought the console but not happy about the price, I could have went to game or don and purchased it. I need explanation for this and a refund of R1000 that was spent on the console.

Makro Online quality of delivered goods

I ordered prizes for a company conference that we are hosting from Makro Online. Two of the prizes are Bluetooth speakers. When they were delivered, it looked like second-hand goods. The boxes were opened and full of dust. The one speaker wasn't even wrapped in the plastic that it was supposed to. How can I give this to people when it looks like it's been used before?! I need this to be replaced!

Makro Online dishwasher not being delivered (order number: mak462373)

Order placed online: 12/11/17

Notice given: 2-5 working days for delivery

Current status: As of now, no-one at Makro knows where our dishwasher is, and the outsourced delivery service (Barlow) doesn't have any record of our dishwasher being on their delivery manifesto.

Request: Please locate our dishwasher and get back to us with a delivery date

Your prices are great and in-store service is also great, but wow... Your online portal and overall service is PUTRID and ARCHAIC

If you do not revamp your online portal and interface, you will only stand to suffer in the future as more people move towards online purchases (just have a look at the Takealot website for an example that you can follow)

Makro Online lack of communication, stories about my refund. - ref: mak451286

On 27 October 2017 I made an online purchase for a TV Stand worth R929.00. I emailed proof to a Anthony Vermeleun. When it came time for the delivery of the TV Stand I kept calling confirming to a Mr Daluxolo that I am at work during the week and they can only either deliver after hours or on the weekend. I was then informed that arrangements would be made for my stuff to be delivered after work as they do not work on weekends. I get a call from the courier company on 2 November 2017 that they are outside my gate to deliver at 9am in the morning. Firstly, no one bothers to alert me that there will be a delivery done in the morning until they are at my gate when I specifically advised that I am at work, I do not work close to where live and transport is a hassle, why should I be inconvenienced by Makro's online service not communicating properly to the courier company? I then spoke to the driver and he advised that he would make a special note that I get my stand delivered on the Saturday morning on 4 November 2017, I cancel my Saturday plans in anticipation of the delivery, the day goes by and there is nothing. I then call Makro again, which is always the case I must always hound them to get things done. I spoke to Daluxolo again who said he would liaise and that my goods will be delivered end of the day on that Saturday.

Still nothing, so I requested for a full refund, till today I am getting the run around, its past 7 working days.

I had spoken to a call centre agent by the name of Daluxolo who advised that once the goods are back at the store from the couriers they can then process payment at the store. 

This took another week, the service of Makro in this matter has been really appalling from calling everyday to checking on my order, can I not be faced with difficulty as well in getting my refund as I do not subscribe to bad services. 

I complied by paying for goods yet the service I received was not favourable at all. 

I look forward to receiving your prompt response.

Makro Online Zero limit account - no success & a hassle...

Dear Makro,

Since the 31st of August after sending all the required documentation as communicated by your Thomas Sebatana our company, Midstream Electrical Supplies (Pty) Ltd still have not been able to open the Zero Limit Account.

Our company overpaid R1 100 in total via two different transactions and opening the Zero Limit Account is apparently the easiest way to use the funds, as per communication received via your Thomas Sebatana.

It is now -+2 ½ months without successfully opening the Zero Limit Account and we're NOT receiving communication from Makro. Meaning NO response to my e-mail or a confirmation letter that the Zero Limit Account has been opened.

Please see the e-mail communication as from the 21st of August 2017 which is part of this e-mail.

In the interim we've been to Makro and even spend more money without being able to use the R1 100.00

It will be appreciated if we could receive proper Client Service by replying to my mail and opening the Zero Limit Account urgently.

To use the R1 100.00 Credit is not an easy route and therefore after discussions with you, it came to be that opening the Zero limit account will be the easiest and best way to go.

At what stage in the process of opening the Zero limit account are we currently at?

To my knowledge everyone who shops at Makro needs a card and therefore my question if we'll be able to use the same Card as we currently have with the R1 100.00 reflecting which we'll be able to spend without struggle.

The credit is still sitting as it is R1100.00 which you can still use at any time, while we are still working on the zero account.

When it comes to zero account we don't really consider to issue the card we only give the customer the authorization letter to complete.
