MakeMyTrip zero customer service, no refund, faking reviews & partnership with criminals in travel business, do not value contract, cheating, harassing

Taxiforsure & makemytrip sucks, unethical business,
Makemytrip has not refunded for breaching of contract and forcing to cutshort our trip,

Beware of taxiforsure, they ruined my trip outstation trip:
1) unprofessional, uncivilized drivers with bogus/fake driving licenses.
2) taxiforsure is using road side travel agencies for fulfilling their orders through makemytrip.com,
3) they do not honor contract and force clients to cut short trip once they realize that they have covered 250 kms in few hours. they rarely honor contract and value their business.
4) mr. phanish is a rude operation manager who doesn't understand the value of business and thinks he is doing great job by supporting criminal type of drivers with bogus /fake driving licenses.
5) makemytrip is faking reviews of their partners.
6) mr phanish promised refund from last two weeks for breach of contract but so far no refund, he doesn't come on phone, doesn't reply by email,
7) taxi forsure drivers charge more on the name of state permit tax with no trasparency, absolute cheating
8) unsafe and risky due to poorly trained drivers from countryside who are often behave like thugs and criminals.
This looks like another typical indian company involved in cheating like thugs, touts on any indian travel business.

Last 24 days no help.

Beware of mr. phanish, makemytrip (who support their business by partnering and faking reviews) and taxiforsure.

They are nothing more than robbers and rarely understand meaning of contract. beware foreigners and nri's do not use taxiforsure and makemytrip for your requirement for taxi or car, as they are unpredictable, cheaters and do not value your safety and security, leave alone comfort or value for money. they try to what makes them earn more money by cheating. your trip is ruined if you use them.

Totally agree. I had booked a cab on 02 Nov 2013, to drop me at Airport, Delhi (MMT booking ID NC25010390958). They had send me a cab. But taxi driver has driven to railway station, Delhi. I had said him to drop me at airport. He had refused & abused me. I was with my family at the time. It was 4:30 am in morning. I had called MMT customer care and put a complaint. MMT executive had suggested me to go to airport and pay full payment. They had told me that I have to pay full payment including extra miles which cab had driven. He told me that they will be refund that extra money. I am getting late so I had put that complaint and go to airport. I had paid the full amount to cab driver. I had also said him for invoice but he has refused. Any one from MMT had not contacted me after this. I had made a written complaint and emailed to cab provider/MMT. Now MMT had contacted me but refused to refund my extra money because they are saying we are not cab owner. They are also saying that cab vendor are not in touch. MMT asking me for the bill, which their cab driver had not given to me. I am very puzzled and request you all to not use MMT services. I remember they have send me a taxi from Taxiforsure.

On 28th Nov. I have book the air ticket via "http://flights.makemytrip.com" at around 7 :00 pm but at around 11:30pm I got the message that my air ticket is got cancel..I am sock that time..Some has hack my email password & hack the same...

My booking ID is: NF2202037238062.
So, know what should I do..?Please ack.the same.

MakeMyTrip wrong attitude and no service to customer

Arrogant, Hung up the call twice to a customer, not willing to support and answer queries, totally negative attitude.

Complaint was lodged but not acknowledged yet.

Cheated me same way. ( NC25011158555), by breaching the contract . They are as good as touts at New Delhi station.

Frauds, scammers, There is no customer service or response( except automated /canned replies) in last 25 days. Zero ethics, and cheating. They have partnered with local / substandard street side taxi agencies who ruin your trip and peace of mind, besides money.
Drivers fleece extra money and force you to cutshort trip once they realise they get full money.

MAKEMYTRIP = CHEATING, FRAUD, BREAKING OF CONTRACT, ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

They are fraud and cheaters like touts at Delhi Railway station:

Constantly in touch with these people from so called customer service. But only resolution from them is to send automated, canned frozen messages stating that this is not our level of service and we value your business etc etc., , , but these lunatics cannot even comprehend the problem or original complaints, 24 days over but no resolution is expected from makemytrip.com and taxiforsure.com, they cheated me for 3000 Rs and another 1000 Rs by not honoring contract we had for a outstation cab.

This is true face of Indian customer service in Incredible India.

its true MakeMyTrip is doing lot of fraud. Its happend to me also. My booking ID NN251932788504, I have booked econimy ticket from Hyderabad to Cebu and upgraded to business and paid full amount for business class ticket. When i went to airport they said its economy ticket they dont have business class upgrade information and i called makemytrip customer care and inform this one of their customer support guy said please travel on economy and we will make refund what ever the amount and i traveled going by Economy and return by business class and after coming back i send my scanned copy of boarding cards by mail ask them for refund about this issue, no one is take action on it, i mailed and called 100s of time to customer support they wil disconnect the calls and they will not call back to me. I am going to consumer forum now. I am saying all online ticket buyers dont buy with makemytrip and forward to all of your friends about it. i am going to post in more public forums and articles.

MakeMyTrip beware of makemytrip. if u want a good experience do not do through makemytrip

Started with Geetha Sharma, then taken outrageously by Gurjot kaur, then by Ashim Rana and then tortured by Lata Rawat, Suman and again by Geetha Sharma. Geetha Sharma was so rude that she started blaming me for no mistake of mine. Their customer service is very sluggish. This all happened for one simple flight from Chicago to Mumbai. Faded the colors of Indian Customer service. Outrageous and heinous. Genuinely do not book with them... Try Airline's website or local agencies like novatravels. They respond much better and also treat you with respect. We are customer and customers are always right even if we commit mistakes, it is their responsibility to treat us good, they are at our feet, not us. Beware of MAKEMYTRIP. If u want a good experience do not do through Makemytrip.

MakeMyTrip makemytrip - worst travel company

I saw a group package for Thailand on MakemyTrip portal. I thought to enquire. The travel professional of MakeMyTrip whom I interacted with, she told me only 3 seats left on that particular date. I liked the package, so I trusted her words. She asked me to pay 10K as the advance. On the portal it was written that the package cost was 35700, but she asked for 36700. When I asked her the reason, she wasnt able to answer. I told her if she dont give me the package at the Site offer price, I wont book then. She then send me a payment URL where it was written that I have to pay Rs 34990 only. When I asked her about the amount, she said that is a technical difficulty, I should pay now, later they will change the total amount.

When I insisted to change the amount to 35700, they changed the amount. Then I paid 10000 as advance. As I never used makemytrip before, I asked her to send me the details about the flights etc. She said she would come back to me on the next day. That NEXT DAY never came. I called her number of times on the phone number she gave me. But she never picked up. I contacted customer care. They told me they would ask her to come back to me. But she never responded.

The payment URL they sent to me, nothing about the trip was mentioned there. There were no facility to cancel the trip even.

Then 1 month before the trip date, a man from makemytrip called me and told me, the cost of the tour would be 36700 and they will be altering the amount on my booking. When I asked the reason, he replied that my earlier travel specialist didnt know about the price etc. I found that they already increased the price by 1000 on my booking URL.

After few days, again another man from MakeMytrip sent me a mail where he wrote that my pending amount is Rs 35700, and I paid only rs 1000 as the advance. Just imagine the height of unprofessionalism and mistakes after mistakes. When I had written back to rectify the mistakes, he sent me a mail and called me up. When I asked him how many seats left on that day, he said 10 seats left. Just imagine the lies these representatives tell their customers to book the packages.

Now, I found that Bangkok is having severe flood, I sent them several mails, if they are postponing the trip and whether they can customize my package so that I can go on other date after the flood is over, they didnt even bother to respond on this. They just dont care. Because they have got Rs 10000 for their lies/mistakes. After all you have to work hard to tell lies to others.

I wastes my booking amount (rs 10000). But this has taught me a lesson. I would never ever use makeMyTrip for any reason, . What a fraud company it is.

MakeMyTrip foreign transaction fee charged

I saw numerous complaints online regarding this merchant and their dubious tactics of charging foreign transaction fee. I've been assured during a chat sessions that such practices are behind them and no foreign transaction fee will be charged for buying airline tickets using their USA website. I purchased tickets to India for a Nov 2012 to Dec 2012 travel dates. They charged me promptly (but incorrect amount) and today I noticed that there is foreign transaction fee associated with this purchase. I made sure that the purchase went through their USA website and now when I requested a refund I am getting the "Systems Down" explanation from their agents. If your systems are down, please stop doing business. If you aren't ethical in your practices, please stop doing business. If you are going to charge extra (for no apparent reason), please stop doing business. There are numerous other websites which sell airline tickets and their business practices are not this shady. I was surprised at the level of shoddiness of their business experience. I tried to book online because I hate the wait time and the moment I put my contact information into the website, I got a call from one of their agents trying to sell me "better tickets" at more cost. These guys are role models for "bait & switch" tactics and they should be shut down to let other companies (definitely more fair) serve travelers.

Their "online chat" sucks and keeps disconnecting (exactly when the refund request is mentioned) and their customer representatives just hang up your calls when they cannot give you an explanation for any scenario... This is just classic "BAIT & SWITCH" and I will report them...

I will submit complaints to the BBB and other websites which will publish these experiences so that future customers will be well informed of these crooks...

I had to same experience with Makemytrip. Booked my tickets to India calling them on a USA toll free number and paid with my USA Credit card number. Booking id US1209B00589. They are highly unprofessional. Very unethical and all their staff is trained to lie to their customers
Everytime you call them, the agent will say, please send us the statement from your bank. Next time they say they want a screenshot and not a statement. Now, they have to check with other team to make sure it is a valid transaction fee.
How in the world can it be a invalid transaction fee if you have the booking details with the exact fare. 3% of the fare is the foreign transaction fee.
I WAS NEVER INFORMED PRIOR TO BOOKING THAT THERE WILL BE A FOREIGN TRANSACTION FEE. WHY NOT?

I wish to receive my refund in next 7 business days, else i will sue them in a small claims court.

MakeMyTrip payment made for trip but travel confirmation not received

I made an online booking for a flight and hotel via makemytrip.com on 12the jun 2012. An amount of INR 7760 was debited from my account via icici bank net banking and the money was payed to BILL JUNCTON PAYMENT Ltd with the transaction ID [protected]. I never received any travel ticket or hotel voucher for my booking inspite of paying the money. I made numerous calls to make my trip. It was sheer wastage of time and money as the call center agents just keep passing my call from dept to dept and finally they cut my call without any reply. They do it like they are trained to do so.Right now I have written mails to which there has been no reply. I think makmy trip is a scam and they arrange to steal money from customers who unsuspectingly book through their website. I need either the travel confirmation or my money should be returned via net banking to my icici account

MakeMyTrip no refund of a failed transaction after 5 weeks, 3-4 phone calls and 10 mails

Subject of my mails: IN1203B06296-B2C-OFF-Air Domestic
I was under the process of booking a ticket from Guwahati to Delhi on 26th Feb, but due to some connection problem, the transaction got failed from makemytrip's end, whereas my bank deducted the amount. The ticket was *not booked*, and Rs. 4377 was deducted from my account. I had already spoken to their 4-5 service executives, but didnt get any positive response. I mailed them some 10-15 times, and the only reply I got was I will get the refund in next 72hrs. The last mail said they have forwarded it to the payment gateway for reversal of the amount, but its been 10 days, and I haven't got my refund back.
As it is a consumer platform, I request the attention of make my trip officials to please look into the matter at the earliest for my refund.

MakeMyTrip charged foreign transaction fee for the airline ticket bought from us

Beware of the foreign transaction fee that makemytrip ticket purchase results in.I used make www.makemytrip.com website in US to find a flight for my parents to travel to US. The website claimed thru banners that agents on phone can give better deals. So, I ended up calling the number on the website. I spoke with an agent and booked the tickets. I payed them using by US credit card. The agent never told be that I am going to be charged a foreign transaction fee. I was charged foreign transaction fee $76.00. When I noticed the fee, I emailed their support with the issue. I attached the bank statement that had the fee. The support person promptly closed the case asking for a screen shot of with the foreign transation fee. I totatly don't understand why screen shot whould be better than a bank statement with transcations. Anyways, I sent them screenshot and bank statement both after that. Since then, I haven't received any communication from them. I don't think, I am getting my money back.

MakeMyTrip please beware while buying tickets from makemytrip

Please beware while buying tickets from Makemytrip, I recently had a very-2 bad experience purchasing tickets from them. I had a death in the family due to which I had to travel from USA to India same day. Agent knew my urgency and lied that there is only one emergency seat left in flight and sold me the ticket for $3550. I booked the ticket,

Clearly with my situation I wasn’t thinking right. I later on found from another travel agent (suggested by my friend) that for the exact same flight there were many more tickets available. That travel agent also checked my booked makemytrip reservation with Airline and found that actual ticket price was $1400 and rest was charged as service fees by the agent. After talking many times with MakeMyTrip, they keep on saying we will refund your money, but have not refund my money so far.

MakeMyTrip refusal to refund cancelled ticket amount

I booked a roundtrip ticket from Orlando, US to Chennai, India through MakeMyTrip for travel on May 17th 2011 for $1425. My onward journey was a three-leg flight of which the first part from Orlando to Newark was delayed for 5 hours making me miss my connecting flight. When I called up MakeMyTrip they asked me to go on to Newark to see if my second flight was also delayed and I did the same. My connecting flight was on time and so I missed it and when I called up MakeMyTrip they said they can book a new flight for me and cancel the old ticket. They asked me to pay for the new ticket and that the old ticket cost will be reimbursed so I ended up paying $1650 ($225 more than the original amount) for the new ticket. To this day, 8 months later, I haven't received a refund for the original ticket. I have contacted MakeMyTrip over 30 times but never given correct information.
Finally on Sept 7th they sent me an email saying that they were going to reimburse me only $898 for the ticket and when I said that was unacceptable, I did not get any more replies from MakeMyTrip. Later I sent three legal notices to MakeMyTrip, US via registered post but did not receive any reply for the same as well.

A $898 refund for a $1425 ticket that I did not use is unacceptable. What is more frustrating is the lack of information or respect of a customer's feelings!

I have note received my full refund yet. I paid USD 1425 for my ticket which was to be refunded. Initially I was promised only 898 refund and after I talked to customer service several times and complaining about my refund on this forum I was assured that my refund was increased by USD 527 more to reflect a full refund. Now I have got a refund of only USD 527. I am yet to get the refund for the original USD 898. It has been 8 months since I traveled and the refund was promised to me. It has been more than 2 months since I even sent them my bank details and they assured me transfer within 48 hours but nothing done till date. Also they transferred some money through wire transfer and charged me $12 for wire transfer charges. Ridiculous!

MakeMyTrip refund of money for ticket which got failed

I am Sunil Dube. i was was booking airline ticket from Madras to Mumbai on 31.10.2011 at 7.30 pm. My booking got failed because of sudden drop in seat availability and amount get debited from my account. i was using my Bank of india debit card. In message while booking i got that my money will be refunded in 2 working days. kindly credit the money in my account at the earliest.
Following are reference for expediting the refund process:
1) Make My Trip Booking ID -NF2506212249582.
2) Transaction ID - BDIPG/TR236018412/make my trip( taken from Bank Of India from their system)

request you to expedite the refund at the earliest.

MakeMyTrip foreign transaction fee

I saw many filing complaints about foreign transaction fee being levied by MakeMyTrip when tickets are booked. A recent experience of mine, I hope, would help many others who come looking for this, as I did. I was never told, while booking the tickets (which I did on Chat), about the FTF. When I saw it, I was shocked. How can a company so popular can do this! I initiated a chat session again - waited for 10 mins - no response. Started another chatted session - waited 9:47 mins - response came that his system hung, so he/she could not respond. Interesting to note that the response came when I said that i will raise the issue in consumer forum! I was then transferred to concerned department, who waited for 2 mins and disconnected, because I was unresponsive! Started another web session. Fortunately that system was not hung. I was again transferred to concerned department, where I was told that "Sometimes when we are charging a credit card, the card gets charged by the Indian merchant and a 3% amount is charged by your bank." And according to them the best part is they will refund the amount if I send them the screenshot which I promptly did. I was assured that the refund will be processed in 6-10 working days. Let us see after 10 days - else will start again! Few said on this forum that if the refund is made, why bother. Point that I want to make is, why do the customer have to check their account for unknown transactions and ask MakeMyTrip for refund. What if someone did not notice - Isn't that a fraud. Why can't that agent state that this might happen - and that we let them know when it happens to process the refund. Why can't you upgrade your services that this 3% does not come into picture! I booked a ticket with yatra.com once before, nothing like this happpened! Why don't you charge US accounts as US merchants given the fact that I logged onto a US website! Is that professionalism? And to top all, your system hung - not one's but for 2 people! Wow!

An update - the refund has been processed and credited to my account. However my request to MakeMyTrip remains the same. Please make the transactions transparent, so that customers do not have to call you for booking once and then call you to get refunds.

I had to same experience with Makemytrip. Booked my tickets to India calling them on a USA toll free number and paid with my USA Credit card number. Booking id US1209B00589. They are highly unprofessional. Very unethical and all their staff is trained to lie to their customers
Everytime you call them, the agent will say, please send us the statement from your bank. Next time they say they want a screenshot and not a statement. Now, they have to check with other team to make sure it is a valid transaction fee.
How in the world can it be a invalid transaction fee if you have the booking details with the exact fare. 3% of the fare is the foreign transaction fee.
I WAS NEVER INFORMED PRIOR TO BOOKING THAT THERE WILL BE A FOREIGN TRANSACTION FEE. WHY NOT?

I wish to receive my refund in next 7 business days, else i will sue them in a small claims court.

MakeMyTrip very poor quality of hotel

I have recently used the services of Make My Trip to define a 9 days Rajasthan package for me. After booking and making the 100% payment in advance, I assumed MakeMyTrip will take care of it and I would really enjoy my holiday. However, it was a nightmare and the most horrible experience in my life ever. The quality of hotel they provided me at Jodhpur and Udaypur is absolutely pathetic. Upon arrival, I had to contact makemytrip to change my hotel - but even then, it was no better. After, making all the payment, I had no other option but to stay in these hotels. I felt I was taken for granted and Make My trip exploited me to their best.
An ward of caution to all my holiday/tourist friends: Pl never ever trust Make My Trip. They are there to make your holiday miserable. If you want a detailed and any any specific about this, you may contact me at Subrata.[protected]@gmail.com.

Makemytrip is run by Delhi touts, something like touts on Delhi railway experience, They rarely understand what is business or business contract or legal contract of upholding the deal, let it be car, or airline ticket or package.

They are online touts of modern days.

MakeMyTrip ripped by make my trip

Dear Makemytrip fellows,

I was a Makemytrip fan till about last year. I have booked several trips in the past and got good service for the same.
For some reason this year things changed for the worse ... and i mean it ...
I booked 2 separate trips this year:

Trip 1: Banglore/ Delhi - Agra/ Banglore (MMT Reference ID: IN1103B03261)
This trip was booked for my collegues who after hearing all the good thing about MMT from me, decided to book a leisure
trip with them. The plan was to fly from Bangalore to Delhi and then visit Taj Mahal on Friday. The entire trip was planned
by Mr Himanshu Suthar (who i had worked with in the past). On reaching Delhi on Friday they were told that Taj Mahal is closed
for tourists on Fridays. They ended up booking a hotel in Agra for the over night stay cause they were to leave back for US the day after.
The Hotel in Delhi refused to refund the money for the 2 nights stay that was alerady paid to them via MMT. This was a major goofup by MMT. They were stranded for 2-3 hours at the hotel reception not knowing what to do before a MMT representative got in touch with them. On contacting MMT they acknowledged that it was their mistake but said they could not do anything about it and merely apologized. I was also told later by my collegues that they will continously harrassed by the Taxi Cab guy (booked through MMT) to pay him more money. One of the female collegue who had to be dropped at the Delhi airport at 12:00 AM to catch her flight back to US was taken to a secluded gas station and asked for more money, which was really scary. With so many people from my company visiting India, has things gone well, MMT could have earned a lot of business, but i guess they are happier saving petty money by cheating customers.

Unfortunately i do not have the booking id for this one.
Before my above expereince with MMT, i booked a vacation package to Europe for me and my wife named "Eurpoean Dream". We booked our own air tickets and paid an initial booking amount of INR 30, 000 for the same. I wasnt really sure if i will be able to make it for the trip due to visa limitations but was convinced by the MMT agent to give into it since they were running some special that would expire soon. I was also verbally assured that incase of any cancellations it might be difficult to refund the amount but it can definitely be adjusted for any trip at a later date with MMT. Unfortunately due to some problems with the Visa/ last minute travel changes we were forced to backout from the trip. We immediately contacted MMT (~1.5 months before the planned departure date) and told them about our situation, unfortunately they said they could do nothing about it and that we should forget the INR 30, 000 we paid for the booking. We tried escalating the issue through several people in MMT (Also contacted the HO in Gurgaon). We were assured that this would be looked into, but after repeated calls, there was no response. Finally the agent who booked the ticked said we could only refund INR 5000 (Not sure which mathematical model he used to derive the magic number). We were very flexible and did not want the refund, but just that we could use the money to book another trip via MMT (But even that seems to be unreasonable for MMT). Its a pain to see your hard earned money go down the drain due to someone elses fault.
Please be very careful in booking your trip (especially those abroad) via MMT as they might sound cheap with all the fancy deals they falunt on their website, but in the end you really get what you pay for ... Really poor customer service/ satisfaction ...

MMT could have got a lot of business from us ... but i guess they are happier being penny wise and pound foolish .. good for them ...

MakeMyTrip incorrect refund amount

I had booked 2 tickets from US to Egypt for December 2010 through makemytrip.com. All flights were canceled by the airlines due to bad weather. The airlines promised to refund the entire amount. I called makemytrip.com and they confirmed that since the airlines cancelled the flights, I would get a full refund, but it will take a while. I waited for 2 months and contacted makemytrip.com. They claimed they never got the refund from the airlines and asked me to try after 48 hours. I did. Still no status. Try after 48 hours. This went on for 4 times. I then called the airlines directly, and they told me that they had refunded the entire amount back in Jan 2011 and even offered the check numbers. All the while, makemytrip.com kept saying that they haven't gotten the nearly $2200 refund from the airlines. After a few more calls, makemytrip tracked down the refund from airlines and credited my account. But they have credited $60 less. I tried multiple times to reach to the customer manager, Abhinandan to find out why the difference, and I never heard back. This is unacceptable when the company cannot account for missing refund amount. Really really disappointed with makemytrip.com. Over the last 2 years, I have purchased tickets worth close to $6000 from them with the goal of giving business to my home country company. Seems disappointing to end up being robbed for showing support.

MakeMyTrip makemytrip is a fraud company.

On 30th of March 2011(India-Pakistan Match) there was an offer on Make mytrip bookings. As per the offer A cash back of Rs. 2 was supposed to be given for every run that India scores. And Rs. 50 for every Pakistani wicket. Based on the status of the match. I was supposed to get a cash back of Rs. 1020.

10 Pakistani wicekts= 10 X 50= 500
260 Indian runs= 2X 260= 520
Total= 1020

I booked two tickets on that day, but i got a cash back of Rs. 540 on 1 ticket and Rs.0 on the other ticket. My booking Ids are:

I called the customer care 4 times but everytime I did not get a proper respone... the call was placed on hold everytime and then disconnected. This is the worst customer care I have interacted with. When they dont have a proper answer when I cornered them, they disconnected the call. I am not worried about the money but the only thing thatis bothering me is that how can these companies cheat us like this. They say something in the offer and when time comes to pay us back they turn their back on us. This is highly un acceptable. I really want to teach them a lesson. IF any one has any sugeestion on how to tech them a lesson please let me know.

This complaint board site is fully fake. They are playing HAVOC with innocent victims by bullying them. This is the biggest racket on the earth.

Anybody can post any complain which mostly happens to be vague and false. What this people do is they have floated lot of reputation management companies. They are in sync with this complaint board site.

Anybody can upload any type of complaint about any person or organization. They also allow to use foul and abusive language on their website. To save their reputation the people who are the victims approach these so called reputation management companies which is floated by this website and make lot of monies.

This website (complaintsboard.com) do not bother to check whether the complaint uploaded in their website is true or false. They only allow people to upload. There is no verification of truth here.

Any body can upload any damning and untrue piece of article which is harmful.

Complaintsboard.com should have first the ethics to verify the facts before they publish on a public platform.

There are many persons who are jealous nature and they are just uploading all sorts of wrong and invented stories.

MakeMyTrip money was debited from my account, but the booking did not succeed

I have done booking on 08 Mar’10 from “Mumbai to Kolkata (05 Apr)” with makemytrip.com website through Net Banking.

After carrying booking, when I confirmed my ICICI netbanking details, no confirmation was received from makemytrip regarding my reservation. Although my amount of Rs.3579/- has already been deducted from my ICICI A/C No. [protected]

MakeMyTrip fraud business practice

MakeMyTrip - Eat/sleep/drink only Fraud ...
- Called their 8OO number to book the international flight from SFO-BOM for family, sales person told me few options ( do note, none of their sales person works in US, they are all operated from Gurgaon, India). Person got all details for passengers and we agreed to book the ticket for Airlines. This is the time, you will be ripped off, sales person will complete booking, will make sure your meal option and seats taken care of and then will redirect to a website called checkmytrip.com where it will show all reservation details...all the time he will fool you by telling makemytrip doesn't charge anything more than 50 USD for booking and cancellation but fraudulent guy will add 100USD for each person for re scheduling and 200USD for each person for 'Cancellation. They will never tell you these charges are per person but will put random charges so in case person decides to reschedule or cancel, they will get huge commission. After booking, I contacted the air lines and I was shocked to hear with same fare how low are cancellation or rescheduling charges! I confronted them, their customer service sucks and as usual no reply...I canceled tickets then they send me a note and asked me to sign for extra charges for cancellation otherwise told not to refund the money...This is huge fraud...airlines deposited money back to my account after low cancellation charges but they used my credit card again to recover their lost commission...

One can easily sue them in 'Small courts Claims in US' and few of us already done that...here a trick they play...they post East cost address for west cost customers and vice versa so that if case has to file it become impossible as case needs to file at the office where defendant in this case 'makemytrip.com' resides...

Also as per US Law one can file a case in local court if a phone call for purchase has been made by company hence if you dial 800 number till booking gets through the sale person will keep repeating 'don't cut the lines and he will keep you engaged'...
They don't offer better price except few bugs less but beware with family you are bound to make some changes and there is were they play the games...Reaching any management people is impossible...no way you can contact them...

All my friends, please be aware and stay away from this company forever...These ###s are not worth of trying...You will repent at the end...

I had tones of email exchange with your customer service..it sucks!...lies and ignorance all over...their agents have all information but one pretends ignorance of other...I wish this company go down as soon as possible... By the way I am spreading a word all through social n/wing and media and on company's common discussion boards...I am sure I can turn at least 50 people away from you...By looking at my complaint you must be knowing that I am aware of your mod-us operand...Let me give have booking reference ZCJPUH ...I will wait to know how far it goes!...I am stepping up my campaign against you in all local sites...Let people be aware of you and have your business suffer...

MakeMyTrip fraudulent and cheaters

Below is my complaint I sent on Feb 2nd, 2011 to Ms. Chadha from Make My Trip New York Office for travel arrangements made from USA to India. I am waiting and still no action on it, I just cant believe this company is such a Unprofessional, uncaring, giving fraud service to its customers

November 25th I am browsing for booking a flight ticket to India one way. I am excited to finally meet my family after three and half years. After some friends recommendations I go to Make My trip web site. I go to see that it’s an Indian online travel booking company. It also says no. 1 choice for NRI, India's No. 1 Travel Company and a lot of other stuff. I go to the web site and to the Chat option and start chatting with Mr. Sharma. Reference ID: [[protected]] Chat session. I give him my travel details and also mention I need an airline ticket which do not require TRANSIT VISA. He acknowledges it and books me a flight on Kuwait Airlines and assures me that no transit visa is required, The flight will depart from JFK Airport to Mumbai and samll stop over in Kuwait for flight Change.

December 23, 2010 I reach JFK airport, stand in line for boarding pass of Kuwait Airlines. I reached the counter and the agent tells me that the flight stops at London Heathrow Airport and I need a transit Visa for Britain to board. I am kind of shocked. I went ahead and spoke to the reservation manager at Kuwait Airlines Booking. He says the same thing. I tried explaining him that my booking agent from Make My Trip conformed me that I do not need a transit visa for this flight. But the reservation manager tells me that he can’t allow me to board the airlines. I call Make My Trip, the agent tells me that Make My Trip booking is right and the flight doesn’t need a Transit Visa and the agent mentions at no point I informed them in chat that I need a booking without a transit visa. I am kind of confused and then I thought I would deal with this matter once I reach India.

The agent tells me that he would cancel my Kuwait airlines ticket and book me another flight. He books me at Jordanian Airlines which costs me $2381. MakeMyTrip Booking No.US1012B02117. I stand in the queue of Jordanian airlines, now Jordan Airlines reservation agent says that I need a transit visa for Abu Dhabi and refuses to give me boarding pass. I call make My Trip again. After all the chat, they cancel my booking on Jordanian Airlines and book me on Emirates Airlines MakeMyTrip Booking No : US1012B02117. This costs me more $300. Total Cost of Flight now is $3616 one way. ($935+$2381+$300)

I arrived India and get sick for 3 days. The first thing I do is check my Chat Transcript of booking my on Kuwait airlines. In the chat I specifically mentioned the visa I hold and also went on to inform the booking agent that I need a flight ticket which do not require Transit Visa. The booking agent acknowledged it and booked me on Kuwait airlines. Its just hight of cheating a customer.

I contact Customer care of Make My Trip in India and they tell me that I have to chat with customer care on US website. In about 2 weeks or so I get my refund of $935 (Kuwait Airlines Booking Refund).

I contact Customer care though Chat. I explain the agent everything and told him that it wasn’t customer’s mistake if the booking agent booked a wrong flight after having all the information about the customer and specifically mentioning about the Visa Status. It was solely Make My Trip’s mistake of not having updated info of the flight they are booking there customers on. I also tell him that I am willing to be responsible for $935 which was my initial charges for my travel arrangements and my $2681 should be returned back to me. (Now after $935 refund I expect $1746 to be refunded back to me) The agent says Sir, the manager is not present right now and somebody will get back to me with a resolution in 48hrs. I contact customer care again for another 3 more times through chat and I do not get a resolution and I have been ignored and the agents were very unhelpful:

I have called 4 times on US website booking no. (1800INDIA10) to customer care of make my trip, I needed to talk to manager and the answer given to me was that the manager was busy and also not available. My calls were dropped and very unprofessionally handled and the agents spoke to me rudely.

I belong to hospitality field, and I worked for hotels l like Hilton and Leela’s. I can’t believe such a reputed company can do this to a customer.

I feel that I got cheated and there is no value of service rendered to me from Make My Trip. My reservation wasn't handled properly by Make My trip even though I made my travel plans way in advance and caused me lot of inconvenience.

I rate this business the worst business I have ever come across. I would take my business to some other web site who really cares about there customer and recommend all my friends through social networking sites.

the customer rep said that I would get a refund for a cancelled ticket. He even emailed me the amount to be refunded. Based on that, I cancelled my ticket and booked a new one only to realize after 3 days the same rep emails me that my booking was non refundable! I mean what on earth? was he dreaming when on the phone and also while emailing me?

absolutely ridiculous, disgusting people with NO humanity or moral values. This company should be banned for doing business and all the management should be put behind bars for fraud.

MakeMyTrip do not trust makemytrip

I had booked an air ticket from mumbai to banglore on kingfisher airlines via makemytrip.com(MakeMyTrip Booking ID - NF251171979074), Due to some reason I cancelled my ticket (Cancellation Number - IN1012R0026689). Makemytrip prmised me that the amount will get refunded within 7 days. After 10 days I wrote a mail to them as the money was not refunded yet. I was given a Reference ID [protected], but nothing was done after that.
The story is not ended yet, I sent many mails regarding the delay to the customer care, after few weeks a person named Amit sinha (amit.[protected]@makemytrip.com) called me on my mobile and promised me the refund by 5th jan'11. So I had to wait till then. days are passed but the story is as usual. Again I got a communication from the company regarding the refund, the told some nonsense stupid reasons for the delay. with which any common man will never satisfied. Still I'm waiting for the refund. Starnge thing I observed is these makemytrip guys have deducted 250 INR from the amount I paid and they are (supposed to!1) giving back the remaining amount. In the mean time makemytrip earns interest over the amount for that period so at the end make my trip is making huge profit at the cost of customer.
My request and suggestion to all of you is please do not make any transaction with this fraud companey. They are here to cheat you. Do not believe in their ### promises. They are expert in building the castles in air.
