MakeMyTrip refund pending for home stay cancellation

I booked a guest house named 'Leandro Vaz' at Goa on 10th November via MakeMyTrip. I received a call from MMT on 16th November saying that 'They are cancelling this particular booking (ID: MHS209044) due to some issues at their side. And they will refund the amount INR 6300 which will be credited in next 7 working days. Also they asked me to book another hotel/guest house upto Rs. 9000. And asked me to send the invoice copy along with bank account details. And that extra cost Rs. 3000 will be credited to the bank details provided by me.' So my total refund amount is Rs.9300.
I booked a hotel as they said, and sent invoice copy and my bank details on 18th November. I immediately got a reply that refund is initiated and i will receive it in next 7 working days. From 18th November to 18th December(totally 1 full month) i am keep on sending mails and calling the customer care representative. But they are keep on following with their finance team. And I havent received my refund amount.
Really a bad service from makemytrip.
Why cant MMT be open with your customers and tell them what caused such a delay and when you will refund the amount. Bad service and experience with MMT. They will lose their customers if they continue the same.

MakeMyTrip horrible customer service

Once you paid them, forget about a good treatment. They will care nothing about you.
This fact can be proven by lots of people who suffered from MMT.
They were very nice to me when I only wanted to book the tickets. Once a bought them and needed their help, they turned into devils and were rude to me. They were impatient and obnoxious. You know, I was so shocked that couldn't even normally speak.
I had to pay more for correcting spelling mistakes, I can forgive that, but their attitude was horrible. They lost one more customer.

MakeMyTrip incorrect name on ticket

I am Indian staying in Tanzania, I have planned holidays to Turkey last year through MMT,

This year I am planning for Egypt and booked one international & two domestic flights in Egypt booking ID.

While booking domestic flight agen have misspelled my wife's name. Instead of AMISHA they have mentioned ANISHA.

Details of domestic flight which had and as given below:

1- IN1710B9S4518935 - Cairo to Aswan
2- IN1710B9S4518979 - Luxor to Cairo

It came to my notice next day when I was issued the tickets, I spoke to agent name 'Anish' for bookings. Next day got a call from MMT team member called 'Payal' I informed her that there was a mistake made in name. She said they will contact me, since then there was no contact from MMT team.

By no chance I can confirm incorrect spelling of my wife, I am asking them to check the communication and records.

This ticket was booked on 26th OCTOBER and today is 8th of November, i am having hard time to get this resolved. I am shocked to experience after sales service from MMT team.

This is the time i have to give all my booking details to Egypt embassy to process my VISA. But no reply, no resolution from MMT team is upsetting us.

After dropping so many messages to their complaint resolution panel, I took this platform for resolution of my issue. Hope my problem will be addressed.

MakeMyTrip refund not reflected on banking account

Hi,

We did a booking on Jan Charmaine Tan and the booking ID NH2003861831986 of 5200rupees was cancelled and according to your policy should be fully refunded since we respected the deadline. Its been one month and despite you keep on affirming everything has been solved we did not get any refund on the bank account. We sent you the bank statement so please coordinate with your bank and resolve the issue. Otherwise, we would need to use other legal ways.

MakeMyTrip selected flight not booked

Sir, thank you very much for providing your services for public convenience. But there are some issues with your service.
In the month of March this year I toured Bombay and made my hotel booking through Make My Trip. The tour was quite successful and I was exalted enough that I gave 10 out of 10 to your services during my feedback. This time to I planned to visit Bangalore, Mysore and Ooty by making all my bookings through Make My Trip. But this time I am let down by the deceiving services of yours.
Sir, I booked flight from New Delhi to Bangalore and return to New Delhi on 03.09.17. On your site I selected Indigo's​ flight 6E-839 of dt. 15.10.17 from New Delhi to Bangalore and return by Vistara's flight UK-816 of dt. 20.10.17
from Bangalore to New Delhi. I did the process and made the payment. My E-tickets were immediately sent to me through mail. I made my bookings accordingly for hotels also.
On 06 of September during my free time when I was checking my mails, I was surprised to see that my return ticket was of Indigo's flight of 7.05 am i.e. 6E-6228 instead of Vistara's flight of 12.15 hrs. I found my whole programme shattered. On 20.10.17 I will be checking out from Mysore hotel "Country Inn & Suites by Carlson". Now it will not be possible for me to get to flight from Bangalore Airport at 7.00 hrs early morning.
Realising the seriousness of the problem I made another booking for hotel Presidency in Bangalore for dated 19.10.17 so that I will be able to get to Airport in time and avail my bookings.
Sir, now I have to cancel my hotel bookings of Mysore. My booking for Mysore is in hotel "Country Inn & Suites by Carlson" for dt. 19.10.17 with booking ID No. NH7123160523272 & Voucher No [protected]. Now I need to stay Mysore on 16.10.17. I will go for other options if my booking of 19.10.17 in hotel "Country Inn and Suites by Carlson" is cancelled​ with full refund immediately credited to my account.
Please suggest me how can I go through in this process without​ spending more money. If you suggest me to cancel this booking and make the fresh one then please arrange to refund my money at the earliest. Otherwise it will be very difficult for me to mature this programme. Hope for an early and fruitful response.

MakeMyTrip refund against flight booking which was actually not done by mmt

This is regarding flight booking, for 2 persons, through MMT portal.Today morning for I paid RS.10220/- twice for 2 persons.Means, I paid RS.20440/-for 2 persons from Delhi to Ranchi even though it seems that the ticket has not been booked.Because I have not received the ticket and payment was made twice because it was showing on the portal that"payment not made as the debit card was not accepted"
But immediately after that I received a message from my bank that Rs.20440/-has been debited from my account.
I request MMT to refund my Rs.20440/- to be credited in my ICICI Bank account immediately without any delay.

MakeMyTrip deal code - cashback offer issue

I made a booking of Rupees 90000 (approx) for a international flight on August 20, 2017 using HDFC credit card. While booking, there was a field of promotion code / coupon code which i didnt use as i didnt know that there is HDFC cashback offer going on of 5%. Hence i couldnt avail that offer during my booking.
But the moment i got to know about the offer from my cousin who is also travelling alongwith me, i called up customer service number of MakeMyTrip. This call was made within 15 mins of my booking through your website. The executive said since i had not put the coupon code though i had used the credit card which had the offer online nothing can be done now. Instead i can cancel the booking and rebook the tickets which is totally illogical. I asked him to connect me to his supervisor. For this he said Supervisor is busy on another call. I asked him to have supervisor call me back immediately after the other call. The supervisor called me after 2.5 hours only once which went missed. I never got call after that one missed call. Hence on 21st August i called back the customer care again at 10.00 a.m. and then again i was told that Supervisor will call back at 10.30 a.m. Supervisor never called me back. Today after 2 days Dhruma (supervisor) calls me and tells me it is not possible and gave me an offer as a gesture of 1000 rupees voucher for my future travel. For a payment of 90000, using credit card which had an offer of 5% cashback, instead of giving me 9000 voucher she offered me 1000 rupees voucher.

I would like to escalate this matter as being a customer i feel i am cheated and duped. When a customer makes a booking, while making the payment, next to the deal code bar there is no option showing me what are the offers available. If i go to any other ecommerce site like Yatra.com / Expedia.com, everywhere when we book a ticket, they show up offers available while making the payment but in case of Make mytrip its not there. Instead its there on the homepage. A person who is not a regular visitor of your site and doesnt have much time to explore the homepage, will never get any kind of offers if the site doesnt prompt the available offers while making the payment?

In this scenario, i have lost 5% of 90000 which is 9000 which i should get as its a big amount. I have already used my HDFC credit card and just because i didn't apply the code of HDFCsale, it doesnt mean i should loose this money. It shouldnt be a matter of applying code which can be fixed manually and easily with appropriate approvals.

Would need support to get this sorted.

MakeMyTrip no credit of points

Had completed a few international flights and hotel bookings done through MMT in the month of June, however did not receive any points, wrote a mail for credit the points, instead received various replies that i have received the points which they were actually talking about for the year of 2016. Later get call, and the guy without listening just kept talking with a rude attitude and then hung up. Now its a month and i was told that the points have been credited already, however due to probably some system error, no points are showing on my dashboard and said it will do resolved manually, but yet no response, i write mails but receive no replies, is MMT a fraud company. I shall report this all to the consumer forum.

MakeMyTrip online travel booking

On 31st may I booked tickets on the portal for 7 passengers - nf22928102757488, full payment was taken from my bank. However, the next day I noticed that only partial leg and part of the touring party got confirmed seats.
When I contacted contact center, I was advised to wait for 6 hours for full booking for trip and entire touring party or else my entire booking money will be refunded by make my trip.
The team could not get the confirmation and refunded only a partial.
Today after 9 days, after 4 repeated call back on my refund request for entire booking, every time I call I get assurance that it will be completed in 1 - 2 days.
I feel mentally agonized and harassed with such a poor customer service.
I seek support to escalate the issue.

MakeMyTrip international hotel booking refund

I have re-escalated this compliant after not getting any positive response to my earlier discussions with Makemytrip Kolkata and Gurgaon teams in 1st week of February'2017 while this refund is pending since 22 December'2016 when I cancelled booking after making it on 21 December. My Credit card was taken for reference and later charged while booking was made under "Pay at Hotel" option?

Now have send them both Visa refusal letter issued by the Spanish embassy in New Delhi with cancellation charges waived off email received from Makemytrip online portal itself. Have posted this compliant thrice on their Support link but they have closed it without given a resolution to me (customer). This is how people being cheated on online portals and never not get timely response!

MakeMyTrip don't use their service!

I booked a holiday trip for two via this website www.makemytrip.com. Unfortunately we had to cancel our booking because to do some serious reasons we were not able to go anywhere.
I contacted MakeMyTrip support service and after I explained everything they said that was not a problem to cancel and promised to do that within a couple of days. Several days later I contacted them again to ask how were things going and they said that they were still working on that. One week later they said the exact same thing and that moment I felt that something was terribly wrong! It was back in December when I contacted them for the first time and now it is already February and still nothing! This is a terrible company, do not use their service!

MakeMyTrip false assurance and wrong booking

Case details-
I am a regular customer of mmt, and I used MMT app in all my bookings. Yesterday when I was booking 10 tickets through my mmt app, it was not allowing me to book more than 9 tickets at once. Moreover I saw some 1500 cashback in ICICI CARDS ( I was using 3 Icici bank cards)

But before finalising the deal, I thought of checking with MMT customer care for some better offers.

I called customer care and then they called me in the afternoon.

I told them if price of online (via app) and offline are same then I will go with online. But I was given to understand that -

1. I will get 2000 (via call) cashback instead 1500 (via app)
2. He will block 10 tickets at lower price and then payment will be released in 2 lots.
3. I was also communicated that if these 10 tickets were released then price will inc by some 900.

However, the final results was entirely different-

1. No cash back will be credited in my bank account (as 1500 offer was directly in the bank account), instead the amount will be credited in my mmt wallet.
2. The tickets were allocated at different price. No single price was blocked.
3. There was no increment in the price after the booking. In fact the price was lower, when I checked in my app after the booking.

Apart from that one child ticket was booked by them as ADULT.

When I told to rectify the name, I was communicated that there is no issues in that.
No problem will happen at airport.

I am calling my parents and family first time in Mumbai and I don't want any issues.

Pls rectify the complete trip and credit the differential amount along with cashback of 4K in my bank account.

Kindly check the call recordings( if required) and resolve the issue immediately as I seriously don't want to drag the issue in consumer forum.

MakeMyTrip very unprofessional company!

I have booked a flight via MakeMyTrip website and since I had extra baggage I paid for it too. But these guys did not add it to my ticket and I had huge problems when I arrived at the airport. I had no extra money with me that moment and was super angry! These guys caused me a lot of trouble, but thanks to airport staff it was resolved. These guys are totally unprofessional and not trustworthy! Do not use them!

MakeMyTrip scam artists!

I booked a flight via MakeMyTrip service and paid for the ticket. Several days later they called me and said that my flight was cancelled because my bank did not allow them to take the money. Called my bank and they said that MakeMyTrip did take my money. Emailed the company and demanded my money back, but they kept telling me they never had my money! After days of fighting they finally admitted the took my money and finally refunded me. This place is beyond ridiculous. Seems like they wanted to scam me or something. What a joke.

MakeMyTrip still waiting for my insurance papers

I have purchased some insurance papers from these guys and was supposed to get them three weeks ago, but still nothing! I contacted them many times, and attached my invoice. I cannot get my visa without those papers and have no idea what to do! I emailed them and received a reply that I have to call them, but when I tried to call no one ever answered! Worst customer service ever! So I decided to warn others about these scam artists, I want to make sure nobody use this website. MakeMyTrip is not trustworthy!

MakeMyTrip airline tickeing reference id:[[protected]]

I am still with the opinion that makemytrip has good IT solution but an equally pathetic customer care. So if things go well, then its good, but if its the other way round, then its a big mess.
Believe me its two months now and i have made more than the cost of refunds, the calls from overseas. The attitude of the agents are precarious and its even shocking to know that there are no supervisors on the floor.
I am an international traveller who has to undertake international travel. And its said that just for the sake of Rs 2000, you lost my trust. i don't think the experience motivates me to visit your site again.
A simple my wallet issue refund you guys are not able to process.

MakeMyTrip refund

I have booked 3 international tickets and then cancelled 2 passengers in tat PNR. Booking id IN1601B8S096543 While booking maketrip was able to call me but after booking done and for refund process they always say unable to reach. Just a copy paste reply. In the ticket it states 7500 as cancellation charges per passenger. But they deducted 9008 per passenger and ofcourse its not yet credited to my account after waiting for 10 days. One of the worst customer experience i ever seen. Twitter request does not work. Customer desk agents place the call on hold which gets disconnected

MakeMyTrip Worst agent based company. Not giving my refund back

With MakeMyTrip mismanagement, I was unable to board flight from Airline (AIR CANADA) DEL to TORONOTO & Going forward missed Air Canada to Austin While asking for tickets at an AIR Canada counter they were not allowing me to fly to Canada. As they can't issue my tickets on my sticker US visa (H1-B) as told due to lack of transit visa, which I was not educated by make my trip on that, even when they have taken details about my USA passport and visa details. I was completely shocked at that point where my commitment & future schedule was in jeopardy. Originally, I came from Airline & its operated on the rules of LUFTHANSA.I was helpless & not able to seek any kind of help from them also as their flights & staff was off on the eve of Christmas. I was having US number with me, but somehow it's not working on roaming. I rushed to local Airtel booths for calling & follow ups .Due to paucity of time, I had taken help of my wife to help me change the ticket date for a hassle free travel, therefore with lots of hope she approached >US -International Customer Care Dept. for help to shuffle the travel date / arrange next immediate flight with different airline. We had high hopes as with the changing trend organizations like has reinforced Agent Culture and trust, therefore I have been a repetitive customer, but this notion of mine has been broken to a level that, i would urge to retain it back for me or I might never opt for an agent ever and would prefer the conventional booking style. On first call to customer care, my wife on my behalf, explained them the urgency and briefed them, how due to lack information miss from make my trip has plunged me into the trouble, she requested them to change the ticket, but they simply harshly refused, to give us any sought of help . On Second call, after again repeating the history / urgency, and with all conversation we were given a piece of advice to get in touch with Lufthansa, which was not even an operating airline rather just partner airline, and representative made us believe that they are the only ones which who can help us at this point of time, challenging the last hope, and feeling empathic for the situation my wife approached Lufthansa Customer Care, I must say they proved they are professionals, understanding and supportive after all they are foreign company and customer matters to them, therefore on one go they agreed for an alternate ticket and started suggesting the dates as well on my present scenario, but the moment they went deeper they realized an agent in between >and then what they said was "we are sorry as the agent is in between then only he can do it we are helpless " Even I approached information staff / counter Airline staff, all were saying it’s because of you are in such trouble position. I was left alone in a mess. I was running pillar to pillar to timely arrange an alternate ticket as I had legal commitments, during that time both me and wife were busy struggling for alternate options on individual level and off late I booked one directly and updated my wife to request a refund so as to ease the loss. Third call my wife, requested them that I am not in touch due to lack of local number, despite repetitive statements by my wife that I lack a local number and even she did not knew what was I upto. Hence a long approx. one hour discussion lead to nothing but a policy repetition, case mug ups and on ""40th minute the representative lightly said he will give an alternate ticket "" now how should I take this on a refund call ? When I already booked alternate ticket after getting NO Response from anyone in due course of time. Why this was not offered on first call? When I was in pain and felt harassed and denied entry in the plane in front of a big queue, as if I am a terrorist? No body extended their phones to me when I pleaded ? a customer friendly agent would have played a dynamic and everlasting role by pulling me put of this situation, > failed tremendously, because they proved Indian companies are money minded and after their success they forget their customers who actually made them something they are today proud of, my family is your customer since you came into existence and we have always recommended you over other agents look this is what you have gifted us for our years of loyalty, today I wish I would have opted Expedia / Priceline or a direct airline, at least foreign companies respect their customer and its a globally famous how important the customer is in USA, just opening the office on foreign land or a .com version does not take you to their level.By this approach practice of asking a travel agent to book an airline ticket is flying out of the Indian window. When I was asked about my passport information by before generating confirmed tickets as my Journey involved US travel than why they haven’t told me about Canada journey definitely required transit visa.

MakeMyTrip refund of amount

Dear Team, I have made a booking for family from Bangalore to Dubai and return, i have made the transaction on 24th October 2015 and i have received a booking confirmation number NN230608954199. SInce i didnt receive the E ticket i have contacted the customer care on 25th October 2015 and they have confirmed that the booking is not done due to a technical issue. I have asked for a refund of the amount of Rs. 1, 29, 241/- and i have send many mails to [protected]@makemytrip.com but there is no reply from them, then i again called the customer care and they are very casual and they told that they didnt get my mail and then one executive gave me a mail id which is barmingham.[protected]@makemytrip.com. I have forwarded all the details to the concerned executive and he gave me a reference ID as [protected]. Again when i called they are saying this reference number is wrong. But till date i didn't receive any information pertaining to my refund and there is no mail from the concerned. Every time i call the customer care they are asking the same details again and again and transferring the call to various departments but not giving any update. They are just trying to avoid my calls and dont want to inform the status. Please help in getting the refund. MakeMyTrip not getting refund for failed transaction

Please refer booking id IN1508B4S574862.

Transaction done online for ticket Kolkata-Dubai-Kolkata at makemytrip.com.
Money got deducted (Rs.52570) but transaction did not complete in your website and hence ticket not issued.

Incident happened on 23-Sep-15.Whenever I call helpdesk they ask me to wait for 72 hrs finance will be working on this...next day again they say to wait for 72 hrs more...it is going like a moving target of 72 hrs !

Dear Prithvi,
I checked with makemytrip Customer care on 4th Oct'15, 2 days after 1st October'15, that you had promised that you will deliver full refund for INR 51346.0/ in my credit card account. They informed that the amount (Rs 51340) has still not been refunded and will take another 72 hours (same 72 hours story !) to process the refund.
Please check and update me when actually can you complete the refund process from your side.

I have been waiting for the refund since 23-SEP-15 !
