I recieved a 30 day free trial to try the majic jack. I called the number provided [protected]. The information provided was very misleading and untrue. They (the computer) aksed for my personal information to get my free trial started and my credit card info for shipping, and I was to recieve the equipment at no charge until my 30day free trial was over! Emediately I was charged a fee for not 1 jack but 3! I did not order. When I called about the mistake that was made I was routed to speak with someone online. There are fake represenatives posing as employees of this so called company that told me that they couldn't help me and had no desire to correct the problem. The online communicators are very rude and acctually know that they are schaming the public with this so called business/product. There are too many people who have been through this same senario and I feel that a class action law suit is in order for this company...

I purchase a majic jack like everyone else to save money on calls, what I didn't know is that their device frooze my computer which was too expensive to fix. this damage occurred while i connected the device for the first time.Their company is invisible and no one ever answer or provided a physical adress to be sued. they are SHADY. BE CAREFULL USING MAGIC JACK CAN COST YOU MORE THAN YOU KNOW

I recently sent away for majic jacks for my Internate /phone service. I wasn't happy with the Product. I have been billed for it. I have sent it back, Februray 15, 2012, with another charge of $20.36 shipping cost, but I have not recieved Credit to My my Card. When will I see Credit back?

Majic jack(off) is a complete waste of time and money. the ads are very deceptive as it is NOT unlimited, just read thier terms and conditions the ### throw in your face everytime thier junk stops working, or they cut off your service and ask for more money. I would not recommend this product to my worst enemy. you will get no satisfaction from thier ###ed customer service. RIP-OFF SCAM!

This company has no official complaint person or representative to talk with over the phone. The online representatives just give you the run around. The sound quality and total package is not worth $39.95. Is there someone like the Attorney General Of Florida to compalin to?

if this majic jack product is so bogous and fraud, the gov. of consumer affairs needs to be contacted in your state and an investigation needs to be conducted to find out where this product is comming from and why this product does not work and why peoples money is being taken. A warrant for their arrest and a class action suit seems justifiable. The I>R>S would never forgive them!

Majic jack phone just shuts off while you are using it. after an hour on chat and still not working they refuse to let you talk to a live person. and just say sorry

Last year, to launch the Majic Jack in our area, the company offered the product for 39.95 which included 2 years of phone service. They drafted this out of my account, and disconnected the service after the 1st year. They are selling 5 years of service for a great price ..but I think with the..False and misleading advertising...they will not be in business long...be careful with this company...

My Majic Jack worked for about 3 months. It stopped working, I went on line for help. The person on line could not get it to work and after 90 minutes hung up on me. I have had no service for 9 months. There is no way to get in touch by Email or phone.
Just a warning buyer beware

I BOUGHT THIS THING AND ALL OF A SUDDEN IT QUIT WORKING THEY HAVE NO PHONE SUPPORT ONLY ONLINE CHAT SUPPORT AND WHEN THEY CANT FIX IT THEY LEAVE THE CHAT SO YOU START ALL OVER WITH ANOTHER CHAT TECH TO DO THIS ALL DAY LONG

CAUTION: it looks like they track the number that calls and places you into a repeating loop if you call back a second time. so if you need to call a second time make sure its from a different number.

Product freezes up and shut down computer. Product worked for a certain period of time and then started to freeze up and shut off computer. Can not contact company. There is no customer contact or address of return, not even phone number for customer service.

If you want to get your money back, contact your Attorney General! This is the only option to get your refund. It's the only thing that worked for me. Not to mention, enough attorney general complaints could get these guys out of business. Good luck!

Since January 2012, I have been trying to use magic jack. I have purchased/replaced 4, which either broke or the connections were so bad no one can understand on either end. Broken and unintelligible. Do not understand how people can sing praises. Magic Jack tried fixing several times, then blamed it on high speed connection, which proved not to be the problem. Stay away from this product and any "improved" models.

me too i ordered 2 majic jack 1 with one year service and 1 with 5 year service they charged my credit card around $150.00 after the free trial i got nothing neither the 1 year or the 5 years i paid for i had to pay for ayear service again on both of them about 2 months ago they send me another majick jack in the mail with out my knowledge and with out me ordering it i happen to check my credit card on line when i found the charge by accident i went on line and complained they told me that one of of their top ten executive will get in touch with me its ben about 2 months never heard any thing from them again and when my 1 year service expired they refused to renew it for another year because i desputed the charges for my credit card chrges with out my knowledge and i got on a chat with them several times after that now for over three months they kept telling me they will get in touch with me to clear every thing and i am still waiting after 4 moths now i believe they are not honest they are out to cheat the public i am hoping an attorney can see this i would love to sue them .

no tech support available they have a area to click for a live agent but no agent will help you unless you send them $38 to talk with tech support, false advertisement not warning people to pay to get your phone service started

I believe he is also meaning when someone calls the old number he does not want the calls to automatically forward to his new number. This happens with some service providers.

Well, my point is that to provide a better quality of service the company may have to shell out more money for better training or equipment which would lead to an increase in the cost of the service to the end-user. Remember I am just speculating, I have no working knowledge of this company or how it operates aside from what I have read and heard about.

Yes possibly so on the cheap amount for the phone service, but why not improve the service and be a part of the community, instead of hiding behind online customer service agents, who work for a contract call center. They have no authority and read from a book a standard message that they have been prompted to tell every customer. Very generic. This is no way to run a national business and be successful. Every thing in America today is based on the bottom line for companies operating, to get maximum revenue and not offer the customer any integrity or quality with it. Not good and I hope that you would agree with this.

I know all about the live agent on the internet. I want to talk to a real customer representative on a real phone and they do not provide this. I have had MJ ever since it came out, so this is nothing new to me. The privacy issue is I do not want my old phone number forwarded to my new number. Every customer has an option or a concern with customer service. This company does not offer a solution to this. They will not give company officials names out. This is half a company, not full service. The filter you speak of is not something I have or was given to me, unless you are talking about putting th main MJ device on the actual modem, which I don't think is recommended, so I am not sure what you mean.

Good support LadyScot. I have a few friends who use MJ and love it. As for their support, I see a lot of complaints about them but could it be the low cost of the service offsets poor support? Just seems logical.

I have cable internet and I am using MJ for the next 5 days, hoping to get a reply from them. I will discontinue the service if they do not answer. They should have already answered. I am not sure what you mean about a filter and yes, I leave it on all the time. That's how most phones operate, as full time phones, not just when one needs to make a call. How is it that you can help me? Are you a company representative? My phone works and already has. My complaint is that I changed my phone number and they did not follow my privacy requests.

I agree that MJ does not work. During the first week I experienced horrible sound quality. Either I would cut off or the person on the other line would cut off. After doing the whole live chat thing and switching usb ports it seemed to get better. Now, this week I cannot hear anything when I receive calls. Today I spent 3 hrs on a live chat & still have not resolved this problem. This magicJack should be called magicJack Piece of Crap. WORST EXPERIENCE!

I would have to agree with your statements, I admit the product does work but only intermittent usage and I cannot recieve calls, I can call out, but can accept a call. I have chatted with text support for hours on end and still no response. If anyone knows how to fix this problem...help! I bought the phone so that I can contact my children, when I have to be away from home.

I've had Magic Jack (not Majic Jack) for over a year. My dad has had it even longer. Never had any problems. In fact, my dad's Magic Jack was stolen (the computer it was attached to, actually) about a month after he signed up for the 5 year deal. He had to buy a new MJ, of course. But we called and told them what happened. They setup the new MJ with the same phone number and walked us through setting it up for the 5 years we had already paid for. No hassle, no problems, and it works as good as before. I recommend MJ to anyone.
