Maid Source failure to refund service fee and transportation expenses

We hired a maid from this agency last May 26, 2017 (late evening) of which we paid the full amount of Php11, 500 as service fee plus transportation expenses.

However, the maid only lasted for five (5) days. We immediately requested for a replacement. We talked to this Valerie Picardal ("Val") who was so unprofessional. She explained that the reason she did not answer my calls was that she arrived late for work.

We decided to go to the agency a few days later so we directly talked to agents Melvin David and Val. They both promised us that they will update us whether or not they have applicants for replacement. No updates were ever given.

A month after, or on July 1, 2017, I requested for the refund by text message. This Melvin apoligizes and says he will endorse some applicants within the day. That never happened.

Thus, on July 10, 2017, I messaged Melvin requesting the refund.

To date, no refund has been given despite constant followups.

The owner of Maid Source, said to be one named GREG DE LEON, is never present in the agency's office and never contacted me even if I requested Melvin to relay the same.

I messaged Maid Source thru Facebook (FB) messenger demanding our refund but they ignored my messages. They also blocked my messages/comments in their FB page and only post the few comments with a positive feedback. I also filed a complaint with the Barangay, but GREG DE LEON never appeared.

This GREG DE LEON seems to hide behind the back of his employees.

This may be resolved if Greg DE LEON at least calls me back. If not, I will be happy to finally meet him in court soon!

Same here - waited for 3 months to get my refund but to no avail. JV the replacement of Grace said that they are undergoing new management and that there was no proper turn over so all their files are unorganized and will need additional time to sort the matter out. There is also that Ivy person who I am trying to reach out too but is always away. I have been communicating with them very frequently and have also been compassionate about their "changes" and "problems" however I am beginning to doubt that asking "nicely" with them will bring any action. Unfortunately, I might also consider to file a complaint.

They moved to that address. A staff said their office is located in front of e delos santos elementary school. I'm not sure though, I'm not familiar with the place

Same thing happened to me. They moved to a different office last week and they don’t want to share they new address and this Mary Grace Rembulat who said she is a lawyer (yun pala psychology graduate lang) is very rude and unprofessional, she doesnt want me to talk. Does anyone know their new office? Thanks

OMG! Same experience! Mary Grace is too full of herself, she wouldn't listen to clients and blame the client instead. I have all the viber messages to confirm her rudeness. Should I publish here?

This is exactly what happened to me yesterday. That Mary Grace also hung the phone on me saying I am difficult to talk with so she would just talk to my husband. They gave a maid and left after a week then they said they couldnt reach her (but I was able to) She said she has been calling me fror weeks which of course is not true. I told her to send a picture kof evidence of all her calls and that made her really mad. She even said that she is holding a maid for 2 weeks now for my interview which again is not true considering that when I needed a maid, they couldn’t even let her stay with them for 1 day because I was out of town. Dont you think its a scam? They still 3k for just deploying even if we reimburse the 9k. Kumita pa rin sila. They said they will process the refund today (but also needs to wait for 30 days whatever). I was soo stressed yesterday and I was just recovering from my chemo. I would also like to file a complaint. Maybe we can consolidate so we can all get our refund. Please let me know how I can get it touch. Thank you

I can feel youm we are experiemcing the same dilemma now. We even raised our nannys pay from 6k to 8k after 15days. And shes also 4th replacement. I think this is their modus. Twice they gave me yaya who look like an addict and doesnt do her jog but to sleep. Whats the use of the contract if they always preterm it just like that and whenever they want. Now wer still waiting for another replacment. I shouldve gotten lifemaideasy services. Im talking to this Mary Grace also. She keeo saying shes busy. I want to call a police then bring them to their ofc so they do immediate action.

Hi Ms. Sophie,
I am 8 months pregnant and I need the additional fund for my baby which I can get for the refund they promised to give back to me last October 2017. I have been following up on this ever since and spoke to a lot of people in Maidsource whom they claim have already resigned (Ranelle, John Quirino, Chester etc.) according to "Mary Grace" who is so haughty and arrogant in dealing with frustrated clients like me. She is very disrespectful like her company she is working for. I hope you can help us too. If they can no longer give back my refund I do really hope and pray that that agency's business permit can be terminated right away to prevent more mommies from being scammed by this agency. I can provide you all the documents they signed in agreement with the arrangement we established before. thank you so much.

Me too! This Val is SO UNPROFESSIONAL. She hung up the phone this afternoon while I was still talking to her, imagine?! And when I tried to call again the number is no longer accessible. Plus she doesn't reply to my sms or Viber. They are all so nice and accommodating at the beginning only to expect nothing when the need arises. I really wish there's a way to make them liable and escalate this to a legal matter. Has your case been resolved? More than willing to join forces just to make this agency realize that they can't get away with whatever wrongful act or even breach of contract.

Maid Source poor service and failed to replace yaya who is not qualified

We hired a yaya on Jul 26, after she came to us we noticed she is not qualified to do the yaya job and aside from that she is also weak in catching up what we are talking about. Indeed, we requested of replacement on Jul. 28.

Since then the tragedy then happens, Maid Source never contact to me to update the status of replacement, I am the one who always chasing after them to ask what's the current status. The thing that really makes me mad is, they saw the message I sent to their Viber messenger but it's really seldom to reply or takes very long time to recieve their reply! Everytime when they said will call back to me but in fact fail to do so!

They said there is no new applicants due to raining season. They said they feel sorry about the previous unqualified yaya they sent to me therefore want to find qualified person but till now Aug. 8, I only recieved 2 new applicant resume which they sent on Aug 1 but failed to have interview because after several hours I wait for interview they said the applicant has emergency at home therefore they let her go home.

I am really mad at there irresponsible of not responding to my message and not calling back. It seems after paying their service charge the service gone right away!

Today still nobody call me and reply my question about refunding because I think they dont have plan to provide me replacement .

Below is the history I chased after them to ask the replacement status, as you can see they is really slow to respond and even not reply and get me call back...

I will update the status until the problem is solve.

Maid Source failed to replace the maid who quit

We hired a maid through Maid Source (maidsource.ph) on June 2, 2017, who walked out July 1 and never returned.

Our contract stated maids would be replaced free of charge 3 times if the maid didn't work out for any reason.

We contacted the agency July 3, and by July 5 hired a new maid by phone. They delayed sending the new maid to us, explained of "house emergency", or "we'll contact the courier", then told us the new maid wouldn't work for us. (We suspect she was placed with a new paying client).

We interviewed a new maid July 8, hired her by phone, and by July 10 she still hasn't been sent to us. (Maybe they are waiting to give her to a new client again?)

Telephone messages were rarely returned, and we were repeatedly told "I'll call you back in 2 hours", and we were never called back.

Our contact person at the agency is Melvin. I asked him today at 11:20am to have the owner, Greg De Leon, call me by 12noon, or I would post this complaint. Of course, again, nobody returned my call.

They keep saying they will send the new maid, but "they have to contact their courier". So many excuses.

This can be resolved if I get a call back, and actually get the new maid sent to our house, to honour their contract.

I'll post again when the matter is resolved.
