I placed an order for Blue and Gold Illustrated with mags4cheap on 12/12/06 at which time my Visa was promptly billed for $21.95. After the 10-12 week period which they said a monthly may take to receive, I called mags4cheap and was told I needed to wait a couple more weeks. In early April I talked to a Nicole at mags4cheap who told me that they had sent an email several weeks before this informing me that the subscription could not be carried out. I never received the email. I then inquired about my refund and she said "we have to send you a check, we can't credit your Visa" because of the time that passed. She did not respond to my question of why hadn't a refund been processed already. When I did not receive the check I made a return call and spoke with Brian on 5/3 who told me he was writing another check (#4290) and it would go out that afternoon. It has been 11 days and no check. I have sent order the Blue and Gold directly from the publisher.

I have been through hell with Mags4Cheap. I received a gift certificate in December 2006. I tried unsuccessfully to redeem it on-line, so I called in early January and placed my order via phone and received my confirmation #. I never received the magazine after waiting the required 8 - 10 weeks. I called and was told to wait a couple more weeks. I called again and was told there was a mix-up, but it had been fixed. 1 month later I called and was told they had to do some research and would call me back. They never did. The next 2 times I called I was given completely different stories. The last time I called she put me on hold while she "called the publisher", then told me they had the names mixed up, but it was fixed and I should start receiving the magazines soon AND would get some free additional issues. She also said the publisher would call me directly to confirm. I never received a call or a magazine. I have also sent numerous e-mails to them on their customer service contact site, and have never received a reply. This morning, I called 6 times and each time I sat on hold listening to a recording, then got disconnected.

I finally called the publisher myself and was told they had no record of my name, address, phone # or confirmation #.

It has now been almost 7 months. It's not that $20.o0 is the end of the world, it is the principle of the thing. I won't let this go.

I ordered a magazine subscription for Family Handyman from Mags4Cheap in May 2009. They charged my credit card but I never received any magazines. They do not respond to emails, and it has been too long to dispute with my credit card company. AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH MAGS4CHEAP-THEY ARE NOT REPUTABLE.

Mags For Cheap states that after you wait three months for your PAID UP FRONT magazine subs, that you can call them to inquire of your delivery status. The phone # [protected]) that they provide is disconnected. Another Ponzi scheme - no way to reach them, their emails to the customer are 'no reply' return addresses. Too bad sucker! Customer RIPPED OFF !

On November 26, 2008 I paid via my Discover card a subscription to Better Homes & Gardens magazine and Family Circle magazine that I had ordered from Mags4Cheap via my computer on November 9, 2008. Better Homes & Gardens is being received but Family Circle is not. I have been unable to find an email address for Mags4Cheap so I have been unable to voice my complaint. What should I do now?

Their affiliate program is supposed to pay 35% of the gross sales on a monthly basis, regardless of the amount. I signed up in Jan. 2006, and have sold over $600 worth of magazines for them, but still have not received one cent from them. I've sent them emails, but they don't respond.

Please don't waste your time and money promoting their program, because you won't get anything back for it.

MAGS4CHEAP is back on track. I have a 2 year old complaint on this board and was contacted by the absentee owner. He promptly refunded my money and has taken the reins back on his business. He has posted many times on this site so please believe it's not a hoax. I got my refund 3 days after I emailed him. THANK YOU!

PS...This site won't allow us to remove complaints so I added this.

This company is just riduculous that they can't even be honest and tell their customers the truth! I ordered Time magazine for my husband for Father's Day 4 weeks before. Well...I 'm still waiting for the magazine today. It is October 2008. I think this is just sad that there are people that are so dishonest. I know one thing though...what goes around...comes around!

DO NOT buy a magazine subscription from mags4cheap. I never got my order placed six months ago. They ignore e-mails and will not return phone calls. They especially rip off the "gift" subscriptions because they figure the recipient of the gift won't want to make the giver feel bad by telling them they never received their subscription. These fly-by-nighters are quick to charge your credit card and then they become unreachable.

As all of the other complaints about this company I never receieved my magazine subscription or a refund. I did go on line to the Better Business Bureau and complained. If everyone that has had a problem with this company would send in a complaint to the BBB then maybe they will shut them down or do something so no one else will get ripped off.

Placed my order in Jan 07. It's now Sep 07 and I have never received any of the 3 magazines ordered. Contacted them every month with no success. Email was rarely responded to, phone calls went unanswered or I was frequently hung up on. They should not be allowed to be in business. Have filed several complaints with the BBB. Avoid and save your money.

It's been 5 months now since I placed my magazine order. No magazines, no refund, no response to my 3 inquiries. They got my money, I got screwed. I don't mind a mix up in the order process. Things happen. But I do not like being ignored when I inquire about it. Do not do business with these folks, unless you like to gamble.

I ordered 3 magazines from this company on Dec. 19, 2007 as Christmas gifts. 2 magazines are being received. The 3rd and most expensive subscription, to People Magazine, has never been received. I emailed the company in mid April - after waiting the required weeks. The company stated that People would not refund the subscription price but they would. After several more emails, I still have not received a refund.

I have saved all emails regarding this issue.

I order two magazine subscriptions in July, 2009. Have not received any issues from either of them. They have a new toll-free #, where you leave your name and telephone number, but I have called 4 times for status, and have not had a return call yet.

Ladies & Gentlemen -

I have been the absentee owner of Mags4Cheap.Com for years. I own several other businesses that occupy the majority of my time. About 3 years ago I handed this company off to a management team that has done a very good job of running my company to the ground. There was a time when Mags4Cheap was the best name online for magazine subscriptions. Obviously, that is no more. About a month ago, my own mother found the negative reviews about my company online and called me. I have since come back to Mags4Cheap, replaced my entire staff and am actively managing it myself. We have sold to more than 3 Million people, and although we have millions of very happy customers, there are nevertheless some very unhappy customers out there, including those who posted here.

I am here to reach out to any customers who have not either received their magazine subscription or a refund. If you fit in this category, you may email me directly at rbfallon@mags4cheap.com or call me directly at [protected].

I will personally investigate your issues and refund you if necessary.

I apologize for the bad experience you have had and I am here to make things right.

Cordially,

I am like a number of the complainants above. We ordered Sports Illustrated for our son in December, 2007, for a Christmas gift. It is now August 30, 2008, and he still has not received his subscription. We ordered the same thing in December, 2006, and he received it as he should so renewed it for him last Christmas. I have only received e-mails from Brian and have never been able to even get anyone to answer my calls. The line is always busy and I give up after 15 minutes or so, but I do have a thick stack of e-mails. I have been forced to go directly to Sports Illustrated directly and place my subscription. I have made numerous requests for a refund of $52.76 I was charged by Mags4Cheap for that subscription and suprisingly, no one is answering my e-mails now. I feel we should all get together and file a class action suit against them charging this with theft, fraud and illegal business practices.

Wow. I wish I had read these before I fell into the same trap. I've been back and forth with mags4cheap for 3 months now over a 4-year renewal subscription that I bought in May.

They processed just 1 year, and evidently routed it through another publisher clearing agent. When I asked for a refund, the guy had the gall to point me to their 48-hour cancellation policy and claimed that he wouldn't cancel the order nor refund my money. No one has any record of anything other than the 1 year subscription being ordered. I've called and emailed them every couple of weeks, and have been promised at various times that it would be fixed in anywhere from 2 days to 5 weeks.

At first I thought they were just plain inept. But now I believe that they are actually unethical (to put it mildly) and crooked.

I just finished filing a complaint against them because of the exac same thing. I paid $75 for a year subscriton to people in Nov of 2007 and YES its August 2008 and no refund. They have sent me the same email over and over with the same refund in a week for the past 4 months! I encourage everyone to issue an online complaint with the better busines bureau online.

I too have an order that was placed back in December of 2007. Only a portion of the order was processed. The other magazines (3) were gifts...the recipiants never received their Christmas gifts from me thanks to Mags4Cheap. Calls are not returned and when you call, your placed on hold they don't pick back up and when you immediately try to call back they don't answer after you sit in their automated system for 8 minutes! E-mails have been fruitless.

This is the biggest rip-off ever! My husband ordered a lame Model Railroad Magazine for $57 for a year subscription. We were charged promptly for two subscriptions (over $100 for a lame magazine!), and to their credit, we did receive a few of these magazines, but not with any regularity. I did contact Customer Service via email to let them know that we had a duplicate charge, and they gave me the same old song and dance that everyone else is getting - "it's going to take 30 days to process your refund", "it's going to take another 20 days" "I'll contact customer service to see why you haven't received your refund yet." It's been several months now... I did call Customer Service and left several messages. I've told my husband under no circumstances should he EVER order from these crooks again. I would be happy to be part of a suit - these scam artists should be made to pay! Not sure how to go about that, though, and I really don't have the money to get a lawyer...(I would have 57 more dollars if it weren't for these guys... grrrr... :( )

I placed an order for 2 subscriptions of the same magazine, Traditional Home, back on Oct. 12, 2007. It is now June 17, 2008 and NO answers to my calls, no responses to emails, NOTHING. I have emailed the attorney general in Texas. If it weren't for the kind of work that I do, I'd get every media circle in Texas to knock on their door.

I agree that it's time for a class action lawsuit. I am BEYOND fed up. I'd hate to be in a room with them. They were so quick to charge my card yet they can't answer the phone ONCE. I think that it's very convenient for them to given themselves the 8-12 weeks before "you get your subscription" as beyond 60 days, most credit cards wash their hands off it.

Anyone out there considering them should avoid the MAJOR headache and HORRIFIC customer service from this so called company. In all my years of doing online orders, this has got to be the WORST!

Please contact me if anyone is ready to file a lawsuit. I'm READY!

My experience is similar to most of the above comments. I ordered and paid for four subscriptions and they acted on two, they gave runarounds in response to inquiries, they constantly stalled by promising to resubmit orders to the publishers, and finally made phony refund promises.

But I also was the victim of yet another of their tricks: the two one-year subscriptions they actually acted on were fulfilled as six month subscriptions.

From my experience, I firmly believe Mags4Cheap clearly intends to be fraudulent. That they pretend to try and fix their "mistakes" is done merely to play out the clock, to wear down the victim, and to provide a cover story if legal proceedings are ever brought.

Same story here. Ordere 1/21, charged on Visa. No mag within the first stated 5 weeks. Then told order returned by the magazine and had to resubmit, would be 10 weeks( note that they use this time frame which is just past the time your credit card will takedisputes). Rep said they would email a confirmation plus a free subscription for a second magazine to makeup for the delay. Of course the email never came. On 5/7 we called Visa and explained how bad this company was, the complaints we had seen on the internet, and the fact that we had talked to themseveral times before the time limit up. Visa credited us, so dispute the charge with your credit card company despite the length of time.
