I worked for Macy's tyson Galeria for about eight years and received ceveral recognition and awards.
whichever department that i worked was always top performance in sales and credit.
I builded a strong relationship with my customers and co-worker. But just by the end of 2008 macy's deceided to suspend me without paie then later found out that i was terminated wihtout any valid reason other than telling me that another employee used a coupon in my favor while i was shopping.
I found out to be really bogus and unfair for someone that was loyal to the company for close to ten years.

I called customer service to find out if I could pay my bill over the phone with a check. It was available but for a $10.00 fee. Then I explained that I was trying to avoid a late payment on my account - which I have had for 10+ years - because of a death in the family and the holiday on Monday (M. L. King) I was concerned that the payment would be late. I was told that the late charge would be $39.00 which was ridiculous for an account with an $80.00 balance. I sent the check priority mail at a cost of $4.00+ and will never charge another item on this account.

KDB002- just wanted to say I know the Chris you are talking about. She's a ###ing ### and should be fired, seriously. She has no class, although she puts on a show like she does. I'm pretty sure she wears a wig too. There are alot of things wrong with this picture. I'm not surprised she complained to the other mangager about being reported by you, she doesn't know how to take responsiblity for her behavior. Shes immature and has no business working in management.

I was only saying she has allowed her authority go to her head. She has no right to abuse employees. I'm sure there are alot of disgruntled former employees because of her.

Yes, it seems as if though Macy's is really big on going after coupon criminals. Their HR is obviously not into retaining talent. HR should go after the coupon makers for allowing the coupons to be scanned more than once, but go figure it is just MACYs. This smells like class action. America, don't strive to do your best, just follow the outdated book guidelines on how to be a good associate.
