Love Mac, hate this store and many others.

I'm not sure what the philosophy is to blast music to the extent that you have to yell to be heard, but this seems to be Mac's at Time Square and Macy's. I would buy much more makeup at Mac if I could stand the noise, but it drives me out every single time.

I was in the Times Square store a week ago, and the woman who helped me agreed that it was way too loud and she went home hoarse with a headache every shift. She begged me to send a complaint. Ironically loud sound not only damages the ears, but also confuses the brain which is not conducive to good sales. I buy lipstick only, but would certainly consider other products if I could stand to be in the store for more than five minutes.

Just in case you're wondering; I am a professional musician and spent years singing rock-n-roll in clubs that were not as loud as the Mac stores.

Even at Macy's the woman at the other counter's find it completely obnoxious that the Mac "area, " is so loud.

i recently placed a $100.00 cosmetic order online with mac cosmetics and it qualified for free shipping. The website said shipped-however upon tracking, the package remained in limbo (received shipping info-but not acquired by UPS) for over 24 hours. then finally said when item would be delivered via Basic? I emailed mac online and their response was: "We apologize for the delay in receiving your MAC Cosmetics Online packages. We wish to inform you that we have recently moved to a new fulfillment facility, where UPS ground shipping packages are sent via Basic. We are very sorry if this move has extended the delivery time for your orders." So anyone who was planning on purchasing on Mac makeup online-I strongly suggest don't bother if you need your product anytime soon. Of course this is their way of you paying extra money for expedited shipping. And their answer indicates that this will not change and is their new policy.

Last week I purchased a tube of my favorite lip glass Mac's Oh Baby. When I first used it, it had a funky smell and left an odd taste in my mouth...I thought it was just me. Then the next day I got this weird feeling in my mouth like fuzz was all in my mouth! This morning I get up use my Oh Baby with in 15 minutes my mouth starts to swell! At that point I was concerned. When the lip gloss wore off my mouth's swelling went down. My front lip felt as though I had ate too much salt and it was all whithered. By this time I had called my doctor and had made a doctor's appointment. Just for argument sake I applied more lip gloss (remember at this point the lip gloss had worn off and my lips were feeling a little better). Once I put the lip gloss on IT STARTED AGAIN! The damn lip gloss was old and gave me an infection!
When I took the lip gloss back tonight all I said was I bought some "old baby" and...the sales person KNEW! sHE SAID PEOPLE WHERE CALLING IN SAYING THE OH BABY SMELLED BAD AND SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH IT! I told her about my infection and she acted brand new to that. She said they were all out of oh Baby but when the get a fresh batch she would call me!
The lipgloss was old...but more than that it made me sick!
I love Mac products, but Mac should love me and my health equally! Now I'm out of my $17.00 for the lip gloss, my $10.00 for my co-pay and my mouth feels disgusting!

The product I purchased in Kolkata from Forum Mall... MAC lip glass color - CHai... The product which shouldn't be on shelf after being too old is still getting sold, the store is just 12 days old. Although the lip glass i have bought if you try putting it on it stinks like clay which overall proves its too old and too bad for health its not only for me for the people who adore MAC products... I ask for help as its worlds one of known products and its too costly too.
