I came to Luxe Models to make a professional portfolio and they made ugly photos. The CD they gave me contained not airbrushed photos. It is unprofessional. I am sure that this service can’t cost $1000…

I think we should all go out there. Pick a date up and go to their offices and manifest our anger because they keep doing it to poor people. Losing their money, wasting theirs times. The studio Collective is a big SCAM don't be sucked in going at all. They never find you. It's just a useless piece of [censor] agency ripping people off with 1000 and 1000 of pound. Whoever agreed we need to set up a group on Facebook and go to the agencies and show them what they doing need to stop.

I went with my daughter to Manchester studios and had the same experience, the woman only showed us the touched up images on a loop so we were impressed, however after parting with £1200 that I can't afford I was upset to see most of the pictures are useless, no agency would touch them. I feel sick to the stomach now. Luxe models, the studio collective as it states on my invoice, shame on you!

DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO BUY ANYTHING, PAY ANYTHING, OR EVEN SHOW UP!

This agency is well known in the business for scamming customers out of their money. If you want to get in to modelling, all you need to do is get a friends (with a good camera) to take some professional head shots and then send them off to some legitimate modelling agencies. You shouldn't have to part with any cash. A good modelling agency will not accept any money but only a cut of your income (around 15%) once you have been paid for a job.

Luxe, admittedly, do not claim to be an agency on their website; however, they do claim so on their adverts on Facebook etc. They will accept the £50 deposit, take some photographs, edit them (badly) and then use hard sell tactics to try and get you to buy a portfolio.

YOU DO NOT NEED A PORTFOLIO TO BREAK IN TO THE BUSINESS!

A portfolio will be gained for free once you have found legitimate work. Do not pay for one. Luxe will also threaten you and take money from your account without asking. If you have given them your bank details, cancel your debit card NOW and inform the bank. They are lowlifes, scam artists, and immoral and incompetent thieves who are just out there to make a quick buck off vulnerable people.Type in to Google "Luxe model scams" and you will find various websites with poor reviews. The good reviews funnily enough come from accounts with no profile picture and are often posted on the same day as each other suggesting Luxe falsely reviews their own company.

You will also find at the bottom of the search a number of legal requests by Luxe to Google to remove bad reviews. Any legitimate company would not do this.Simply look at the link at the bottom of Google (the Chilling Effects link) and you will see that they are trying to censor anyone with a bad review.

I recently applied on their website and was contacted so me being naive went along with it and spoke to the guy, he took my card details for refund and my appointment is end of this month. Can someone please advice what I should do? I checked my account and nothing has been taken yet but they probably have and the app is not showing it yet, but I was thinking if I transfer all my money out so that they try to take money out n are not unable to? Is that a gd idea? Or just go for the photo shoot and don't buy into their ### n get my refund back? .. Need your advice ASAP PLZZZ .. And also how did you guys pay for deposit? I'm scared that the person will use my details to withdraw more money :/

Peedd off has put exactly my comments, my daughter was given the same treatment and it has ended up costing us a lot of money. Beware Luxe/Kube are not the only scammers out there...they appear to be linked Adora is another scamming compnay and it appears UKMM are as well.

i recently paid 2, 500 for my daughter. we went to the studio and she had an amazing time at the shoot. afterwards they take you to a room down stairs and show you amazing pictures of your child. whilst there they feed you with such hope that the modeling industry will be easy with there photos starting at 300 for 5. this lady kept saying look at her, she's amazing, she's easily got what it takes...i admit i fell hook line and sinker and paid the above money for all the photo's, website and advice! what a bloody rip off! if these people where genuine they wouldn't let you pay all that money, we do have a great website, zip cards ect but what we are now learning is that models will always need to up date their portfolio, there's no need for a website and you still need to sign to an agency coz it's just not easy to find work. my advice, go along and have fun but don't get pulled in, don't part with any money, which is hard when you see your child looking amazing in the pictures. we did it in november 2013 and i'm so disappointed that i got ripped off.

my friend sent me a link to luxe models website and told me i should apply because ive always wanted to do modelling, so i did, a week or so later i recieved texts saying that i had been accepted so i called them and spoke to gemma who told me i had potential and went on to compliment me, i asked her if there was any fee's other than the 50 pounds deposit and she said 'no, it is all paid for by us and the 50£ would be given back to us and that it was just to make sure we arrived on the day' i was extreamly happy and missed the day off school to go to the shoot, after i did the 4 hour shoot, i saw the photos which i wasnt completely happy about however the lady only showed me the pretouched ones and skipped through the rest and she went on and made me believe she would make me into some sort of super model so i basically paid 1500 just for her help because i didnt like the photos anyway but i thought she would help me and told me that these photos would get me accepted into any agency and when i asked if i could go away and think about this she said 'no you need to decide now, if you REALLY want this i can help you' and went on to show us all these different models she had helped and called them her 'babies' so my mum paid the money and i recieved the cd after 2 weeks then for the first time i went through ALL of the photos and cried my eyes out all weekend, i didnt lose hope and i still applied for agencies and got rejected by a few and the rest did not reply at all, after speaking to a model scout he told me i could do so much better and i agree, i look alot better in real life probably when i wake up in the morning natural than i did covered in makeup at that shoot. I then tried to get in contact with leanne and she did not reply to my emails, if you are thinking about aplying for luxe models DO NOT! I REPEAT DO NOT even if you are the most un attractive human alive they will feed you lies and make you believe you will become a super model as long as you pay

Luxe Models is not a model agency at all - it is a name used by Kube Studios Limited to sell expensive model portfolio shoots. The price of model portfolio shoots at London studios can be up to £2750 despite the initial details claiming the shoot is free.

Luxe Models in London has NO CONNECTION with genuine agency Luxe Models based in Canada. They are not related and Luxe Models Canada are not a scam.

Luxe Models sells model portfolio shoots at their own studio Kube Studios and offering training to wannabe models. The Luxe Models website makes clear that they are not a modelling agency and do not find models work yet their Google ad claims "Model agency scouting now" - if you think you are applying to a modelling agency then you are being scammed. The person registering Luxe Models was previous behind Diesel Models and UK Models which were repeatedly claimed to be scams by people who had been to their studios and subject to hard sell.

Remember that you do not need to pay for a model portfolio to apply to a genuine modelling agency - just send clear snapshots and they will be able to make a decision.

Luxe Models are not an agency so they cannot be scouting models, registration on the site may be free but you will then get sold a service for either coaching or a portfolio. Experience is irrelevant as they are not a modelling agency so have no requirement for models with or without experience.

If you are considering attending a shoot at Luxe Models you should be aware of their Terms and Conditions and the cost if you do not attend and the cost of the portfolio shoot if you go along with their hard sell tactics.

You just been ripped off my dear. They will tell you all the magical things to make you pay for the portfolio. If I were you I would challenge them to show proof that portfolio helped someone to break into modelling?
