Firstly, the co-owners refuse to communicate with me regarding the unfinished work on my fence project for which I paid $1, 398 to Scot Anderson on April 21 this year. The amount included staining of the fence and gate construction of 53 linear feet at $3/lf for staining. I have tried and tried to contact both of the owners about the unfinished stainwork for which I have already paid - maybe my mistake because I believe Lurox intends to rip me off . I hav e called both parties; Scot Anderson - [protected] and Stacey S. (Lurox?) at 310-7840 and also left voice messages and text messages. I am emailing them daily pleading for them to contact me about the issue. This they HAVE NOT DONE. I have emailed - [protected]@gmail.com - daily for the past 4-5 days asking for a response. This they REFUSE me. The last contact was a voicemail from Stacey S. in which she only requested callback. I called back and she did not answer - she NEVER answers my calls - so I left her a message to call me. Of course she never did. On the initial fence build proposal, Stacey indicated the cost would be $21/lf and that the old wood woild be removed. Well, it wasn't and I had to do it. I am a senior of 68 years and I have mobility and other medical issues - it was absolutely painfull for me to do what LuRox had said they would do. In the end I paid $25 per linear foot and the construction work was shoddy, done by inexperienced young men who were left to their own by the Contractor/Owner, Scot Anderson. The way it works is Stacey S. comes out (if you're lucky-she missed the initial date and blamed it on my phone for lack of communication) and then Anderson drops the work crew and materials; he then comes back when they've finished to collect. Stacey S. is supposedly the staining person. In between they seem to have little little communication about the customer's job. In that way, the accountability becomes like a ping-pong between the Lurox co-partners! Then you ( I at least ) can never get contact with Stacey. A gate wheel had been paid for and not delivered, so I did (one time) get a hold of Scot Anderson. He brought the wheel but installed it incorrectly- the wheel had no clearance to the fence boards and thus would bind up. I had to go out and fix that myself by placing a spacing block between the gate wood and the wheel. It's fine now - but LuRox left it to the customer - their sloppy, uncaring work - to correct. The fence materials seem to be the cheapest grade also. There is literally splitting 2x4 backing boards and a splitting 4x4. Of three 4x4s installed by the Lurox crew, not one is plumb, true and perpendicular in two planes. WHY? They don't -or at least did not on my job- use post levels. At this point, I feel if LuRox did finally come and stain the fence, the work would be as sloppy and done with the cheapest stain they could possibly use. The stain quote was $3/linear foot, so for 53 linear feet of fencing amounts to $159 which has been already paid. I would settle for a refund of that amount ASAP by LuRox Homes. I suggested to Anderson to diminish the bill by that amount since it had been so rainy and wet, and that I could stain at a later time - but he declined to do so. I overpaid for their shoddy work and would never recommend them to anyone. It's a pathetic operation and if allowed I know that LuRox would be happy to rip me off regarding the staining part of the project. BTW - I asked and Anderson refuted any warranty of their work or materials. This company should be fined and have their licenses pulled out from under them !
