Lund Food Holdings / Poor customer service
I have been a customer/Employee of Lunds for a good many years. And over that time I have seen the company cut back on hours and introduce policies that have done nothing but make the management look like greedy bullies. I've heard many instances of employees being screwed over. For instance cutting back hours of senior employees and giving hours to new hires to save cost on their part. Also, employees screwed over by being transferred to different store locations for less pay there quality has also shown signs of wear as well.
Another filtering system Lunds has adopted from their corporate think tank is an attendance policy that is quite strict it is based on a points system. If you are late by one minute you are docked 1 half point. Being sick is one point. You are allowed 9 points a year before you are reviewed for termination. Also leaving early due to sickness is half a point as well even if you have worked most of your shift. This and other policies have not taken into mind the human element of life. People take the bus, get sick, and are consequently late. This has strained worker morale and created many an ulcer. In these hard times people need their jobs to survive. I have seen many people come and go from Lunds. And one sad constant is that people always seem to leave on bad terms. Being so tired of all the thankless service given and then to quit after being used up. Next time you shop there just ask an employee who has been there a while there honest opinion on these topics and see there reaction. If Lunds wants to actually live up to there glamorous friendly appearance they will need to revamp there corporate mentality.
