Our Lumix camera broke down within six weeks of purchase! We bought it in September within three weeks it started to make strange noises, but this was normal according to the manual.
After another two weeks, the camera had trouble focusing and a week later it no longer functioned.
Panasonic lost no time telling me that this was not covered by any warranty. I live in Panama where Panasonic has outsourced repairs to a local company called Digitec. They took four weeks to tell me it would cost $ 275 (75% of new price) and five weeks to repair. I am now waiting for six weeks. During the last week I was told every day that the spare part would arrive tomorrow. Today I was told that the spare part will arrive on December 15, by boat, from Japan........ Talk about lousy customer service.
