This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

I never knowingly authoritzed this company to charge my account $88.97 like they did, I truly never read the terms and conditions that I will in the future. These people at the 800 customer service line are rude ignorant people who do not care. I filed a dispute with my credit card company. Too bad we have companies like this since now I will no longer order on the internet from companies. I will stick with Amazon for everything.

This is the worst place that I have ever had to deal with and this weekend when I have time I will be filing complaints with all parties involved. They do this because they know people are too busy and really sometimes not everyone looks at their statements. I am disputing the charge now. I will find the Better Business Bureau in CA and do all that I possibly can from NJ.

Hey! anybody there. Wake up and return my refund. Please credit my account 88.97. I'll be waiting and watching for it to hit. Don't be a bad boy, and think you're going to steal from me. The stop payment should hit any moment now.

I too feel violated in more than one issue, First I just read the Privacy Policy and there is no indication of a monthly fee or any other fee that would be CHARGED to my Visa account. Second, You cannot attain the RMA# (Return Merchandize Authorization) by any means. Third, I phoned 866.360.1477 which dissconnected me several times, I then had to call the operator to get connected, they then cancelled my order, well I hope they did! By the way I called twice to make sure it was cancelled wrote the names of both bus. reps. Did some research to find a address in Glendale, Ca.. Operator did not have no known # for such address. Anyway, to make this short ya right! Ive called my personal friend and Lawyer regarding Class Action Suit, Thanks for your time, Richard D. Bustamante 1.310.629.3908

I don't know who got hold of my card but I did not order this trial offer. I am a 72 year old and live on a fixed income. and they still charged me. The funny part is I wear dentures. Now do you think I would order a tooth whitner.

I had the SAME problemwith a colon care cleanse product!

EXACT same thing.

My bank told me to cancel my bank card, which I used to pay for shipping and handling.

AND suggested I filed a fraud complaint (with the bank) regarding their access to my account to take out the $88.97 charge even after numerous attempts to cancel. I tried calling the toll free # for weeks and NEVER got a live person to speak with.

When the colon cleanse company tried to get more money the next month after my card was cancelled, they would have to call the bank and the bank would let them know there was a fraud investigation and there were not going to get any more money.

The bank ALSO got my 88.97 back!

I will never order anything like that again AND am very pleased that I was able to find a site like this! Wish I had found this one earlier. Good luck!

P.S. I bank with Compass Bank in Texas.

I had the same thing happen and try to get them to credit your account. I said I would send the product back, but you have to e-mail them. The guy on the phone was of little help.

They have you over a barrel. I did the same thing and now I am out 90.00. They set it up so it is legit.
You have to agree to notify them before the 20 days is up, or they automatically take the money from your account. IF you ordered the TRIAL, then you agree. There's nothing you can do, unless you send back the product. They say you have to email them for some type of return number to include in your return, or they won't accept it. I am hoping that this will allow me to receive a refund.
They DID appear, at a cursory glance, to be a Crest site. BUT they aren't. I wasn't paying close enough attention and so I was not going what a good consumer does-check it out 100%.
So... I am sad for all of you, including myself, who got taken by these eejits.

Today is the 20 day, 5 days since this had to be shipped back. The only response I've gotten from several emails is a very rude email telling me I can't return this because I didn't cancel by subscription, but they would gladly give me 34.99 credit and let me keep the product. No thanks. I emailed them back and cut and paste the return policy off their website. No where in the return policy does it say I can't get a refund for not canceling my membership!

I recieved my credit card bill yesterday and there it was the $88.97 charge. Called the 866- number and was told like everyone else to email. E-mailed and no response as of yesterday. I will call them again today and also file a complaint with my credit card to refuse to pay. This is bad!

I am so upset about this FRAUD co. that I had to write another complaint. I have emailed them several times, and the keep sending me the same e-mail how they will send me information of what I have to do to get my refund of $88.97. I have not received any thing yet nor will I.

This company is as FRAUD as you can get. I hope you all have received an offer for help to be a part of a class action suit from an Attorney, I think it would be wise.

I just received this email from them:

Dear Judith Wegner,

This email confirms that you have been canceled from the Luminous Brites membership program as of 10/27/2008 9:27:25 AM. You will not receive any further charges from Luminous Brites. Thank you for using our product!

Customer Support Staff
866.360.1477

What is really strange to me is that they don't give out any names. It says cusomter support staff and even when I called they answered with "hello". Very strange. It says that my membership was cancelled, but we will see about that.

I just read through all the post and called them right away. They haven't charged me anything yet and I havne't gotten the free trial kit either. I got someone on the phone and I told them that I would like to cancel my order and the guy on the other line told me that I will get an email confirmation that it was cancelled. Hope he told the truth but we will see. I don't feel like paying over 80 bucks every month for something that I haven't even received yet. I wonder if you could call the cops in California and give them the address. Somebody needs to do something about this

Luminous Brites is a fraud operation. After ordering the $4.99 offer, eleven (11) days later I received product and a couple of days later received credit card statement (charged $88.97 by "IWINWHITENING"). Called to cancel and told to go on line to cancel. There is no cancellation web site. If I don't get a refund to my credit card, they will definitely have something to not feel so "brite" about. There dull minds seem to be keen enough to be calculating and manipulative.
Attorney General, Better Business Bureau, FCAA, Credit Card frauds dept. - get ready 'cause I'm about to
make you all very busy. In today's economy Luminous Brites has the unmitigated nerve to play like they have no clue. I'm about to grow wings and meet them where they think they're hiding- and I spit fire!

File a complaint as suggested above. I have 4 days left until by 15 days to return the product is up. I haven't even received it yet! UGH! It's comforting to know I'm not the only one in this battle.

Seriosuly, everyone should file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I am on email number 7 or 8. I email them at least once a day. I never get a response and the people on the phone just hang up on me. Literally. They say We will not help you. Thankyou. Goodbye. Then HANG UP. I call back and get the same guy and he says I hung up on him! Oh what ###s!

This product is unbelievable i can not believe that you would offer a product to try and then put in fine print that in 20 days you will be charged 88.97 if you do not cancel well the funny part is it did not say on there that i had to cancel. the messed up part is you cant even talk to a real person you have to get answers via email what the hell kind of business are you running here i want a refund on my credit card within 24 hours. i will be contacting the better business bureau this is a load of crap. and when you try to talk to someone to cancel they sit and yell at you seriously i am very disatisfied and the best advertisement is word of mouth and trust me i will be using it if i dont have my refund with in 24 hours

The same thing happened to me except that when I tried to get to the cancellation page I was told the the address (www.LuminousBrites.com/cancel) was not a valid address.
I am also pursuing it through my bank and they tell me that LuminousBrites must provide an accessible address for a return, and the bank will challenge the charge.

I was not happy with the product and didn't get a chance to cancel before another one was sent. I want to cancel and would like the $88.97 to be taken off my credit card bill. This is a rip off.

LuminousBrites is a scam. My daughter in college tried the free trial offer, did not like the product, and when she went to cancel just 18 days later they had already taken $88.97 off her checking account.

We contacted the company every day for 2 weeks to ask that they allow us to return the shipment, which we did not order, and that according to their own website - CAN be returned with a Return Authorization Number.

The LuminousBrites internet representatives were very rude (I have the emails to prove everything) and would NOT send us a Return Authorization Number which is necessary to get a refund.

We have filed complaints with the Pennsylvania and the California Attorney Generals offices.

Please, everyone who is having trouble with LuminousBrites - file a complaint now. Let them know they can not get away with this! Just Google 'Attorney General', and you can quickly download a form to file a complaint.

Make sure you send on to the California Attorney General and one to the state you live in.

We must make this company stop their false advertisement and make them live up to their obligations.

I am having the same problem with this company. In fact, the only way to receive a return authorization number to receive a refund is to email customer service (that's according to the fine print---can't get one by calling). The wierd thing is that my emails cannot be sent to them. It won't even leave my inbox and come back as undeliverable. It just says that it was not sent. I even called my mail service carrier and they can't figure out why it won't send. My thought is that there is something preventing it's delivery from the luminous brites end of things, if that makes sense. Since emailing customer service is the only way to receive a refund, if they never get your email then, BAM no refund! I'm pursuing it through my bank. Underhanded business practices if you ask me. Don't fall for the free offer!

Is there anyone else out there having the email issue?

I agree with the person complaining. I ordered and received the free trail. Approximately 30 days after I received the free trail materials, I received an envelope with two more vials of the whitening gel and a note saying that I had signed up to continue to receive this...and that it was going to cost me $88 per 30 days.

I went to the web site and after perusing for some period of time did find the information that I had 20 days from shipment of materials to cancel or I would continue to receive the product. I did not find a statement of the cost on the web site.

It was difficult to find where to cancel. I finally went back to the information that was in the packet with the additional products and used the exact address and was able to get to the cancellation page.
It is www.LuminousBrites.com/cancel

I realize that I was fooled into having to pay an additional $88 because I did not read the fine print so will accept that as my error...BUT and I emailed the company this...I would NEVER recommend this product even if if worked...because of their dispiciable marketing tactics.

It was a complete rip off! Since I could not get to them by phone, I e-mailed them on the 20th day but they still charged me with the $88.97. Their refund policy says that we must return the product with a RMA number for a full refund. So I e-mailed them asking to give me an assigned RMA number. They refuse to give it to me and told me to settle for only HALF a refund back. I don't think they would even really refund me. I e-mailed them again, demanding for the RMA number so I can get my FULL refund... I still have not received a reply.
