This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

I never knowingly authoritzed this company to charge my account $88.97 like they did, I truly never read the terms and conditions that I will in the future. These people at the 800 customer service line are rude ignorant people who do not care. I filed a dispute with my credit card company. Too bad we have companies like this since now I will no longer order on the internet from companies. I will stick with Amazon for everything.

This is the worst place that I have ever had to deal with and this weekend when I have time I will be filing complaints with all parties involved. They do this because they know people are too busy and really sometimes not everyone looks at their statements. I am disputing the charge now. I will find the Better Business Bureau in CA and do all that I possibly can from NJ.

Originally thought ther would only be one teeth whitening kit for 4.99 plus shipping, then I received a 2nd kit which I returned but my master card was charged 88.97 ( this kit was returned to me), another kit was sent, I called the company Feb 2, 2009 told them I was sending back the kit and I expected a refund. He led me to believe this was all I needed to do. When my Feb 25 statement came in I assmed it was too early, now my March statement is in and I am again charged 88.97. I called [protected] and was told to go to my original site (which I have no idea what that was) so I the person I talked to told me to go to this site which gives me no recourse that I can see.

i decided to try your free sample for teeth whitening for the $4.99 shipping and handling...
i never received the sample, they say they delivered it and have a tracking # as well.
the address they say it was sent to is my business.
it's tender loving care dog grooming. i receive packages here on a dailey basis, but i sign for them all.
i have several stores connected to me and i am located in a very busy city.
it could've gone in the wrong mail box or someone could've taken it if it was left outside.
either way, i should not be responsible for this!
i never received the trial so i didn't feel i had to cancel anything!
i called to get my refund and not only were they rude, it literally took 2hrs to get someone on the phone.
i made sure i got his info. i tried to explain my delema and how unfair it was and larry proceeded to tell me that "life wasn't fair" and to pretty much deal with it!
i want to make sure everything is cancelled and i get my refund for$88.97.

This company really sucks! They will offer you a sample product for $4.99 & then just debit your bank account with $88.97 in a couple of days without contacting you first for the transaction that they're going to make. Does anybody here got a refund?I try to call them & they say they don't entertain refund by phone, just email theor customer support. When I email them, they still would not give me a refund. What is that $88.97 for? They should give us refund or I will really contact my bank for a dispute.Because this company is really stealing money from their consumers!

I Signed up to receive a free trial of their product and was unable to get to anyone to cancel any further shipments and was sent a 30 day supply for $88.97 which I don't want and will be returning but have been charged for.

I specifically look for fine print to read. I work at a bank and have learned many lessons there. I ALWAYS look for fine print and never sign anything with blank spaces. I'm very meticulous when it comes to stuff like that. So when I saw that Crest was offering / endorsing this teeth whitening product, after doing a little research about membership information and fine print, I found nothing of the sort on the website. I decided to try it. It was only $4.99 and there were no strings attached. I later got a package in the mail and was wondering what it was. I opened it and it was a shabby excuse for a kit. Nothing like the kit I saw on the website. I decided not to use it. I still have it up to this day.

Doing a routine check of my email and finances I came across an email from Chase saying that a transaction that I recently made has exceeded my transaction limit that I had set. Naturally i logged on to my credit card account and realized my credit card balance is different from what it should be. I checked the recent activity and saw that it was for teeth whitening. But I never would sign up for teethe whitening that would cost me a whopping $88.97 per month! I have a dentist! I then remembered that I had ordered the 'SAMPLE' online. I immediately called my credit card company to file a dispute but being that it was after midnight that dept. was closed. I thought it was a mere mistake because I have had that happen to me before, it was an error on the company's part and it was quickly resolved.

I went back to the Luminous Brites website which to my surprised has changed. It's no longer Crest now it's Aquafresh! And low and behold there are now terms and conditions listed below the title line on the order site and right before you click on through to confirm your order. I Googled the company name and found a SEA of reports and complaints. I Googled the address and what came up for suite 2 in that plaza was a Chiropractor's office. I realized that I too have been scammed and I am in such rage right now it's not even funny. I will do anything to get my money back. That $88.97 could have bought groceries and gas for my car, even pay a few bills. How do people live like this and do things like this to people?

I will gladly assist in any legal action that will be taken. Count me in!

Did not tell me that there would be monthly shipments and I would be billed after 20 days if I did not cancel... They put this on the one after you are charged $88.97. Total scam!

I too have been trying to receive a refund. I called and was told that I had to email my request for a refund to luminius brites. I emailed twice and got no response. I have been billed for $88.97 over a week ago and haven't even received the product thus far (not that I want it). I have had to have my bank get involved in this to dispute the charge. I thought I checked the trial offer over pretty thoroughly. They did a pretty good job of hiding the fact that you would be enrolled in this auto ship program. I am not getting stuck with this charge!

I agreed to pay shipping costs for a sample of teeeth whitening gel, $4.99 was the cost. They also charged my account $88.97 because they said I didn't cancel. I am VERY upset, it's Christmas and I'm a single mother trying to support my children! I never authorized the charges and was never made aware of the charge untill it showed up on my bank statement. I called to speak with someone at the company and she tried to tell me I authorized this transaction, and she was VERY RUDE! I will NEVER order anything off the internet again. I did however report this to my bank and they are disputing the charges for me!

This company sucks you in with a FREE trial for 5 bucks shipping then charges you 88.97 for 3 months until you cancel. Good luck getting in touch with anyone at the number. You have to read the entire terms and conditions ie. the fine print to see it. The website is covered with FREE FREE FREE then they charge you nearly 3 hundred dollars. SCAM

I was fraudently charged for a product that I did not order. I have a son with brain cancer - the last thing I need is a tooth whitening product at Christmas when I have a son with brain cancer. I did not have any satisfactory results with either a phone call or email.

I just received a month's supply of tooth whitening which I did not order. However, $88.97 was billed to my credit card. I have tried to call and e-mail this company with no success. This phone number and e-mail address was given in order to cancel the order. This is what I get for ordering one free trial order. There was no information telling me I would have to cancel in a certain length of time before another order would be shipped. This is a scam. I will never order anything again that states it is free. This company gives ordering off the internet a bad name. This is not way to run a business. Another $88.97 had better not be billed my credit card. This business should be shut down.

I ordered a "free" trial and paid S&H $4.99. I had no idea they would be charging me $88.75 after that. The hold is on my bank account right now and I have not received further product after the trial nor a bill, yet this money is going to be debited from my account. I do not want this product and I want the money back in my account. After reading complaints of others they are saying this company automatically enrolls you in a monthly program which they do not tell you when ordering the trial. I want this cancelled and the money back in my account.

I ordered and received a free trial package and was billed 4.99 for shipping/handling. That amount was charged to my CC. I did not authorize any additional charges but was billed 88.97 on 12/16/08. I called them and was told to go to this site and request a refund. I told the rep that I will return the product . I want them to reverse the 88.97 charge and stop any future mailings and charges.

Please e-mail me with status of credit.

I have tried calling their phone number for a week. I get put on hold for long periods of time, then disconnected. I want to return the product to them, as I did not order it. I think my teenager ordered it. Also, I want a credit to my credit card for $88.97 that WAS NOT AUTHORIZED by me or my wife. This company is ripping people off! I'm going to file a report with the Better Business Bureau, also.

I had ordered a free trial of luminous brites for just a small fee of $4.99 for shipping. Not to long after there is ANOTHER FEE on my credit card for $89.00! I tried emailing the company and they just told me that I had not contacted them within 20 days of ordering...which is funny cuz I sure as heck never signed up to recieve their monthly subscriptions. This is the just rediculous how this company can still be running and taking advantage of people. I am going to call them immediatly tomorrow morning.

I ordered a sampling of a tooth whitening product( just a sampling) and paid $5.99. I DID NOT subscribe to a monthly subscription to this teeth whitening product. Without my knowledge you assumed that I wanted this subscription, when in fact I DID NOT. You now have charged me $88.97 for something that I DID NOT subscribe to. I expect to be reimbursed my $88.97 just as quickly as you took it out. I only agreed to the $5.99 for the sampling and that was it. Thank You

In October 2008 I responded to an unsolicited email from www.iwinwhitening.com advertising a teeth whitening product. I ordered the product for $4.99 and it was sent to me.

In November 2008 the same account I used to purchase the whitening product was debited by the same company, www.iwinwhitening.com, for a larger supply of the product in the amount of $88.97.

I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THE COMPANY TO DEBIT MY ACCOUNT FOR ANY PRODUCT EXCEPT THE TEETH WHITENING PRODUCT AND GAVE NO ONE IN THE WORLD PERMISSION TO USE MY ACCOUNT FOR ANY PURCHASES WHATSOEVER AFTER THE ORIGINAL ORDER OF THE TEETH WHITENING PRODUCT PURCHASE.

Calling their office number: [protected] resulted in a conversation with a customer service person who told me that because I did not "cancel my membership" after the initial order they sent the subsequent larger order and billed me for it. He told me to send an email to support@luminousbrites.com requesting to be removed as a "member" and that I could take up the billing issue with the support person responding to me email.

I did not become a member of any sort with www.iwinwhitening.com or with "luminous brites" at any time that I am aware of. As of this writing, although I sent the requested email to support@luminousbrites.com I have not heard back from them.

THIIS IS A FRAUD AND I NEED MY MONEY BACK.

I responded to an add on the computer to a "free trail" to whiten teeth, just had to pay shipping. I did receive it, didn't like it and thought that was that. Well, another delivery came and a note saying $88.97 was being charged to my account every 30 days. I tried calling this "micky mouse" company and got rude workers (Larry Fisher and Ranald, if even their real names) who were down right rude. I DON'T want this product, I don't want these charges and all I got was attitude of tough luck.

Misrepresented product using Crest Brand. Misrepresented product showing picture of complete kit. Received cheap tooth trays and 3ml syringe of ?. No ingredients on label. Possible health risk to some. Claimed to be sending a FREE trial $4.99 SH costs only. Tried to cancel within 20 day trial. No response to emails or phone calls. Billed $88.97 on my credit card. I want to cancel any membership I may have been tricked into. This is the site the company gives for membership cancellation? mvandyke@triad.rr.com

This is a scam:

Luminous Brites
3600 Ocean View #2
Glendale, CA
[protected]
I replied to an internet ad offering a toothwhiting process for free - 5.99 for S&H plus you would receive a free Crest toothbrush kit (toothbrush, toothpaste & floss). I received the tooth whitening trays and gel - no Crest kit.
About one month later I received another toothwhitening kit and they had debited $88.97 off my debit card! I did not give them any permission to debit this card.
A note with the shipment said, "As stated in the terms and conditions that you agreed to during the purchase of your trial offer on Luminous brite.com, if the trial is not cancelled within 20 days, you are automatically enrolled in our auto shipment program in which you receive a refill every 30 days at a discounted price."
I never agreed to anything nor did I see any terms or conditions on any offer or anything about this being a trial of any kind.
There are complaints all over the Internet about this company and this scam at /link removed/ and www.complaintsboard.com. Sadly, there are more than 100 sites still offering luminous brites or a link to luminous brites. Luminous brites operates
under several website names:

luminousbrites.com
cresttoothwhitening.com
dealsizer.com
luminousbritessample.com
suffolkdentistry.org

I am sure there are more. Crest denies any association, yet several people complained that the reason they thought the offer was safe was because the name Crest was on the offer. I did not receive a Crest kit nor did many people who complained about this scam.
The folks I feel the worst for are those who have lost $88.97 and simply could not afford it. In some cases, this debit caused their checking account to bounce and they incurred more charges. There are those who don't know how to stop this "auto shipment" procedure, and will continue to be billed $88.97 each month. This is a travesty. Many more people have tried to go through their procedure to cancel auto shipments:

a: Cancel by visiting www.Luminousbrites.com/cancel
b: Call us at [protected] (only during business hours:Mon-Fri 8am-4pm PST)
c: Email us at support@luminousbrites.com (only during business hours)

I have called numerous times – they are rude or hang up. I have emailed numerous times – each email is labeled (1st request, 2nd request etc and time stamped) I have yet to receive an RMA.
I will not stop until this company is exposed and I get my refund.

I too ordered a sample trial. That's all. I did not sign up for any club or further products. First of all it did not work to my satisfaction and I chose another product. You cannot reply to the web site that they give. I did cancel in time but the girl answering the phone with the most insipid tone said her name was Betty after she thought about it. She said they had no record of me, yet they took money from my credit card! Businesses like this damage other people trying to make an honest living. They make other people hesitant of trying anything without a face behind it.

I was one who also ordered the $5.00 Luminous Brites trial offer. It looked legit. I called the phone number listed to cancel and no one answered the telephone. Just a recording. Didn't realize it would be an auto-shipment. I contacted my credit card company but they determined it was my fault that I couldn't get in touch with the not-so-Brite company. I wish there was a way to get these bums charged with fraud.

I ORDERED A FREE TRIAL ONLINE AND WAS CHARGED RIGHT AWAY FOR THE SHIPPING WHICH WAS $5.99. I DID ACTUALLY READ WHERE IT STATED THAT A CHARGE WOULD BE PLACED IF IT WAS NOT CANCELLED IN 20 DAYS. I CURRENTLY WORK @ A BANK AND SEE THESE SCAMS ALL THE TIME...SO I WAS PROACTIVE WITH CALLING AND CANCELLING. I ATTEMPTED SOOO MANY TIMES AND DID NOT GET AN ANSWER FROM THIS COMPANY. I THEN CLOSED THAT DEBIT CARD AND ORDERED A NEW ONE.
