Tonight, I renewed domains for my company online, via
I opted out of the "privacy" registration renewal. The appropriate "boxes" were checked for the four (4) domains to be renewed. I submitted my company credit card info. Three times, the screen stated my personal information was incorrect. I found that humorous because I've not changed addresses, still own the same company...So, I used my personal card. Instead of the $46.08 that was to have been charged on my account, $62.04 was charged. In addition, sent to my personal email address was a confirmation that the amount of $164.08 was rejected on my company business CC. I called Go Daddy support center immediately. First thing I was told was that I could have contacted them to renew via phone vs the internet. Second thing was that the "privacy registration" is automatic unless I first go to the "privacy registration page, to cancel my privacy settings before "opting" out of the privacy settings on the renewal page with the domains renewal. Silly me, but if that's the case, then why in blazes do they want you to order and renew online??? Another thing, in order for them to cancel the order only to reorder via phone, is a process in itself. Anyone who has had a similar situation understands they make it so time consuming and apparently, a waste of time, that they intend for people to be frustrated and leave it be. I for one will moved all of my domains, (19) to another company. I do not recommend Regardless of all the "hype", and daily lessons in business online, owner, Bob Parsons should warn folks against his own company. That's definitely one lesson I've learned from him.
