Longwood Industries Car Sales Lied about BBB BBB Accreditation

I was trying to sell my car on auto trader and someone from Longwood Industries Car Sales called. The telemarketer told me that they were a BBB (better bureau of business) accredited business and they could sell my car for me right away. I told her that i needed to call her back in a bit. She stared getting pushy saying if it did not sell they would give me all of my money back. I told her that i needed to do some research on the Auto Marketing Systems cmpany and hung up.
-----------------------------------------BBB lookup on Auto Marketing Systems-----------------------------------------
After going to www.bbb.org I found out that they had C rating with no BBB Accreditation. and the following complaints

Complaints are concerning failure to honor money-back guarantee. Complaints processed by this BBB generally involve the firm's refund policy. The company has responded to complaints brought to their attention by stating customers must follow their cancellation policy exactly. Fax, email, and phone requests for cancellation will not be accepted. Consumers may wish to return the form certified for proof of receipt.

Nice post - but you are missing the point. If a company runs a legit operation should it have so many complaints? Simply refunding money dosn't "resolve it", it pushes it under the rug like Adventis, Longwood, TheBigLot, AMS always does. Blocking an IP address is moot - the truth will set you free.

Let me ask you how the advertising was false, when you were told that the company is registered with the bbb, you found the rating obviously, and that all of the complaints are resolved with them? Also, I've never seen any company that offers a refund or rebate that didn't have requirements to be followed. Show me ANY company that has NEVER had any complaints! I haven't found one yet, but I haven't found very many that actually resolved them like this company has for me.

Longwood Industries Car Sales Scam on auto sale listings

Longwood Industries Car Sales - www.longwoodautos.com

This group sees your auto listing on Craig's List or somewhere similar, and they offer to sell it for you with a moneyback guarantee. (See other similar complaints on this web site). They then make it impossible to get your moneyback. Part of the fraud is that they never tell you about the "requirements" for the guarantee until after they have your money. Then they just make up new requirements as they go along.

My boss listed a couple of her vehicles with AMS, and we followed all the details to the letter to get back our refund. The staff we speak with are always very professional. However, we've been told that there was an "administrative transition" at the beginning of the year, and that's why we haven't received our refund. We've also been told that there was a glitch in the system and it was refunding twice what it was supposed to, and that is why we didn't receive our refund yet. Every time we call, we're told to call back in two weeks. When I asked to speak with someone in management, I was told that they aren't able to put me through. They can send an email to the manager, but that's the best they can offer. So far, they've sent two on our behalf. We're still waiting four and a half months after they received our notarized request for refund. I would say DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Based on what we've experienced, they are not holding up their end of the contract. Disappointing, but I like the suggestion to use your credit card company to get the money back. Will be trying that one.

"Beware" If you list your vehicle on Craig list, you will probably receive a call from them. (Auto Marketing System, Longwood Industries and other alias's). They will claim they have customers looking for the exact car you have listed and even in the same price range. Once they receive your money, you won't hear from them again. I never received one call on my car. I listed with them August of 12012. I am in the process of filing a complaint with the FTC. Don't let you or your friends get caught up in this scam. Pass the word.

Beware, this business is a scam. If you list a vehicle on Craig list, you will probably receive a call from one of their ### sales people. They will tell you they have a list of people looking for your exact vehicle in the same price range that you have it listed. Once they get your money, don't expect to hear from them again. I turned my case over to my credit card company. Results pending. In the mean time, don't get sucked in to there line of B.S.

I just received a call from Matt Carter, called and got Debbie...both were nice. They pulled my number from Kijjiji offered the $199 guarantee or the $99 dollar deal with no guarantee.Funny they guaranteed to sell my boat for my asking price, no quibbles as long asit is what I say it is and it is.After review I found this sight and makes me wonder. If all they do is target other advertising websites to get your info what work are they doing? They are violating the rules of the website(s) in question (Crags List, Kijiji, uy and sell etc) so you have to question their ethics. If they can guaratee a buyer then charge the buyer or charge you once the sale is complete and put it in writing. So Mr. I will provide you a qualified buyer and on completion of the transaction you will pay us $99.00 sounds fair! Plus the fact that we are roughly 5000 miles apart I find it hard to see how they are in touch with our market...just saying!

people have you noticed that most adds on Craigslist ...when advertising their vehicle . one no emails will be answered . two when they have a phone number they will use numbers and letters IE... for instance take this fictitious number 543-five five five-43twoone
it will keep the bot from acquiring it and them calling you .
good luck to all but i surly will not use their services . Craigslist works just fine for me as i have sold many items on there with no help .

Hello Paul Russel of AMS, I have an email from your customer service confirming that I am entitled to a refund and all the necessary steps on my part have been fulfilled. It has been 4 months, and I still do not have my refund, All I get is a runaround from your phone people complaining they are shorthanded and running behind and on and on and that I'll get my money on 30 days, then 30 business days, then 3-4 more weeks, then just a couple more weeks.
HELLO OUT THERE EVERYONE< THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! DO NOT USE THEM. I HAVE A DISPUTE GOING WITH MY CC COMPANY> I HOPE I GET MY MONEY BACK SOMEDAY!

I read all the notes here by everyone I think I'm going to sell this car on my own.I don't have a $100.00 dollars to waste on something that may or not be legit. The thing I'm not hearing is anyone saying my car was sold.I feel that no one should ever give their Visa or Mastercard to anyone they know nothing about specially someone over the phone and thats in a different country.I hope you all follow your first instinct because usually its the right one.If you have any doubt always investigate first.I know some of us are desperate to sell our vehicles for what ever reason but sometimes waiting is alot better than jumping into something that can cause you to still have to wait to get your vehicle sold and be out the money.Plus the stress of trying to get your money back from these companys. When in the end its taking the time you need away from selling your vehicle in the first place. Also The thing that stuck out for me is the guarantee to sell your vehicle, then why are so many people wanting their money back, to me they didn't keep up to their end of the bargin by getting your vehicle sold.If theres a guarantee to sell your vehicle then there should be no 90 day money back guarantee for not selling your vehicle, that you have to jump through hoops for lol that strikes me as strange. That then is not a guarantee so why take the chance and give them money.Guarantees are put in place to make people comfortable to buy or give their money. The only real guarantee is we will all die one day lol sorry but its true.Like that old saying if something is to good to be true it usually is.In the end If they are legit or not it seems more of a headache.I hope what I said will make you think.Goodluck everyone selling your vehicles I hope it all works out and I get my vehicle sold too.I guess I'm going to have to do it the old fashion way. :)

I just recived a phone call today from Matt telling me AMS had intrested buyers in my car. When I called them they explained to me that people sign up with them to find a car for them. They told me that they had four intrested buyers in my car. They then explained about the $149 fee for this service. Now, my concerns with this is simply, if you are helping people find cars for them to buy, and you contact me then why do I have to pay you, seems to me your already getting paid for this transaction. Also when I went to there website I could not find anywhere for a buyer to click to sign up for there service, so how do you have so many costumers wanting to by cars when they have no where to actually sign up. They also never asked me anything really about the car (as far as options) before guaranteeing me the price. This whole thing just seems extreamly shady and I think I'll just stick to craigslist.

if they were reputable they would at most only require you to make a phone call to get your money refunded.. i tried one of those auto warranty companies awhile back and thier models are the same as ive read on longwood inc, They dont disclose all info til your signed up dont answer your calls or are rude to you when they do .. use bully techniques to get you on or keeep you on, and then make you jump some hard assed, nearly impossible hoops to get your refund .. i almost signed up but thought better of it when i thought back on the auto warranty i did sign up for..
