Longs Drugs - untruth store manager abuse customer's shopping right

My name is Xiaochun Chen and I want to advise you of a very unpleasant experience that I had while shopping at your store located at 10455 South De Anza Boulevard in Cupertino, California .

On Sunday, Sep, 21st at approximately 5:50PM, another customer was attempting to purchase stationary and there appeared to be disagreement with the cashier on the price. Not being able to resolve the issue to the customers satisfaction, another cashier or sales clerk was called twice within 5 to 7 minutes to bring about a solution.

After almost 5 minutes of waiting another customer, a gentleman, I asked if a cashier might be called to check us out. Finally after 2 failed paging attempts, we heard, Kari, Please go to register 2. Shortly thereafter another cashier arrived. Upon the cashiers arrival at the other register, an Asian man, who was behind us in the line rushed to the open register and positioned himself first in line.

I said to him, "Maybe you should let us go first, (there was another man before me) because we were in front of you."

The gentleman and I then positioned ourselves in front and while he paid for his goods, the Asian man, now in back of us, attempted to place my goods behind his and at the same time yelled to me F_ _ k you communist, you are not even a citizen Needless to say I was very shocked and frightened; I asked that someone call the police. When no one reacted, I used my cell phone to call 911. As I was speaking with the 911 operator (at 6:05pm) the Asian man yelled and said: F_ _ k you communist, you are not even a citizen then rushed out of the store. Shortly the call ended because nothing could be done.

After I paid for my goods, I asked the cashier to call the store manager. When Carina, the store manager arrived, I told her what had happened.

She replied, The store is not going to do anything unless he hits you. I said, Thats ok to know and I called policy myself. Carina then said, The police are not going to do anything for you. You are just wasting tax payer money and there is nothing we can do either.

I replied "I am trying to tell you that if you could put another casher here after the first paging things could be better."

Carina said, We are short on employees, I only has three employees and we put one there now. I could do nothing to help your situation." In fact there were four employees four women and one man besides her in the store, one with white uniform and four with green uniform, during our talking time, one young white female employee changed her uniform to red shirt.

I left store but then realized that I forgot to write down Carinas full name because I wanted to report the incident to the corporate office. When I returned to the store I saw that red shirt girl was outside to make a call. I walked to the store and wait till casher available and the cashiers get me the store manager. I heard the page said: Carina comes to the front. The same time I saw the red shirt girl run to the back with bit loud voice, some customers turning to watch. Cashier paged couple more times. There was long waiting and during that time the red shirt girl called to the casher said: pick up the phone twice. Then I saw policemen showed up the store. The police officers approached me and asked me what had transpired. After I told them what had happened they asked to see my Drivers License and checked my cell phone verifying that I had in fact dialed 911 (at 6:05pm).

One of the policemen then asked me, Why didnt you leave the store when asked?

I replied, I was never asked to leave. I left and then came back to ask for the store managers name.

The officer said, Really. The store manager never asked you to leave? Ok, now the store manager asked us to ask you to leave. Also, you cannot shop here anymore but you can report the incident to their headquarters to get their approval to shop here. Make sure to bring written document to approve you can shop here.

I left the store with very sad and upset.

Ms. Carina, the Longs Drug store manager has done a poor job in managing this incident. She was not honest. Not once did she insinuate, suggest or tell me to leave the store. Now Ive loss the right to shop at the store that is nearest to my home because she was not honest. This is a severe hardship because my almost 80 years old mother put all her medicine prescription in this store because she could walk here to drop the prescriptions. A lot of time I need to help her to pick up the medicines.

I am an active and involved member of my community and have never violated any law in any places. I have been good employee to fortune 500 companies. An excellent tax payer and good US citizen. I didnt do anything wrong.

I need your immediate attention to help me resolve this issue. At the same time I will use all my citizen right to protect myself. Please contact me at [protected].

Thank you in advance for your time and support.

Why is Longs Drug closing Mililani Market place store?

Hundreds if not thousands of Mililani residents depend on this store! Obviously, Longs Drug could care less about the Mililani residents that utilize this store. What an inconvenience Longs Drug is causing for so many.

Everytime I go to the money services the management refuse to speak proper English and are very disrespectful to me because I am white, all the workers at the station are disrespectful and judgmental and speak only Filipino and talk down to me when I come in. It's the worst longs I have ever been to.

"In fact there were four employees: four women and one man besides her in the store, one with white uniform and four with green uniform, during our talking time, one young white female employee changed her uniform to red shirt."

A white uniform indicates someone who works in Pharmacy, and they cannot help you at the front registers. Half the time, they can't help you in the Pharmacy because they don't have an employee ID logged into the system, meaning they can't log in and check you out.
I do not know why one changed into a red shirt, but she was probably off work or on lunch.

"The gentleman and I then positioned ourselves in front and while he paid for his goods, the Asian man, now in back of us, attempted to place my goods behind his and at the same time yelled to me "F_ _ k you communist, you are not even a citizen" Needless to say I was very shocked and frightened; I asked that someone call the police."

Since he left almost right after saying that, and what he said wasn't as bad as a racial slur, no one could nor had to do anything about it.
