Lone Star Pet Lodge / Misinformed
We used this facility several times for boarding and only a couple of times for grooming. The last visit was very disappointing. We only needed an overnight stay for our dog and was informed by the phone rep that it was available. They didn't mention that a minimum 2-night stay was required so we nearly broke our necks trying to return to p/u our dog before close. I had to beg my mother who lives 30 min away to pick him up. My dog's 1 day supply of food was returned to my mom along with the receipt. I called the facility the next day morning to inquire about the food. The phone agent couldn't explain so a "manager" had to call me back to tell me that my dog refused his food, so they fed him their food. Well that sounded pretty ridic considering I have a lab that will eat just about everything! And who stays to look at a dog eat? I let it slide though since I'm pretty sure he ate their food b/c he had the craps for a day. They obviously forgot that he had his own food and made up the lame story. Thank goodness he's not on a special diet! Anyway...the kicker is that I looked at my receipt to find they charged me for two full days when it was never explained to me initially that 2 nights were required (which means two days in their eyes) BUT why then did they call me @ 6:30 pm to ask me if I was coming for my dog, when I actually didn't have to put my mother out since I had until 12 noon the following day? And so the owner will feel better about the forums, YES we were too offered a free night, but that isn't enough! I will make sure that we post on every forum and tell all our friends and group networks who have pets where to go. It won't be here. I'm sure the owners know that a good way to grow your business is through referrals and from the looks of other reviews I've read, you won't be getting many.
