Lockport Lending / Scam
Watch out for Lockport Lending!! Just like most of the others they say you’re approved but they need 5 months of payments up front. I thought I was finally getting a break and my boyfriend even questioned the ‘Michael King’ that I was dealing with to get answers about their company and he ran a good game. So I sent my $720 through money gram and waited for a deposit into my account – it never happened. Remember, if they use Money Gram, don’t fall for it – even Money Gram admits that there system is easy to fool especially when they ask you for a reference number. All they do is make a fake ID in whoever’s name the transfer is in a pick it up. If they ask you to fax an ID or bank information – don’t do it. You never get over that feeling that someone has invaded your privacy and you soon forget what it is to be worry free. If they say you’re sending it to Canada – that’s the biggest red flag!! They can only get away with this in Canada because here in the US they would be questioned and there it’s like it doesn’t really matter – so be weary of Milton, Canada and FYI – if they do mention Milton ask them which one of the four Money Grams they’ll be picking the transfer up at. Most importantly, listen to your gut – if something stops from do the transfer take it as a sign and don’t answer their phone calls, if you can’t find them on the internet or their site looks shady, it’s cause they probably are, and if the person you’re talking to sounds like the answering service just hang up. Please don’t be like me and let someone use your hope and prayers for help against you. There’s too many people out there that are just here to take advantage of those who are just trying to turn their situations around and do a good thing for themselves but we wind up in a worst situation than we were before.
