Homeowners Counseling has brought me to the point of crying. Mark Mairone refuses to give me a money back and will not return any of my calls. Not only am I about to loose my house because this company did NOTHING but now this Mark Mairone will not give me back any of my money that I paid to him for a Mortgage Modification. He told me he worked for Bank of America and worked with many other lenders. They took my payments for the Modification without ever helping me keep my home. His company promised me that I wouldn't loose my house and my house would be saved. He has yelled, scream and also hung up on me over this. Its been a complete nightmare for me. I asked for the sales guy that made me all the promises and took my money and he isnt even there anymore. How does this company sleep at night knowing that they are doing this to people. I have tried to call this Lennard Mucci lawyer guy but he hasn't returned my calls. If you ever do business with anyone do not use this Legal Services Homeowners Counseling office in Feasterville Pa. I want my money & will stop at nothing to get what is mine.

Dragonplay is a fraud... they make u win a lot then lose all.
I had 2.4 billion chips and in just one day lost all my chips. Not playing only at high rollers tables. Even at small tables to see if this game is a SCAM. And yes it is.
How can someone lose every hand?
When i only had 500millions left I called every single hand and couldnt win one fkn hand until i had no more chips.
This kind of things should not happen. Because there are people that buys chips and Dragonplay is stealing from them.
The same thing happened to a friend who was at my buddy list that had more than 3billion chips and in just one day like me... Lost every fkn chips.

I was referred to Mark Mairone in a time of need. I am an unemployed, single mom with twins that have special needs/disabilities. Mr. Mairone told me he could get me a loan modification with my bank, Wells Fargo. When I first met with him in Nov 2011, I was currently in my 2nd special forbearance plan with Wells Fargo. He said he would charge me $2500 to get me a loan mod. I gave him a 1st installment in early December 2011 of $1000. I continued to make payments up to $2100 thru March 2012. Then I received a letter via US mail from Wells Fargo Attorneys that my property was to go up for foreclosure sale in 30 Days. Naturally, I flipped out! Calling HO Counseling frantically, only to be told not to wory about it, everything was fine and they were waiting for the loan specialists to get back to them. I had finally gotten thru to my Loan Specialist myself only to find out that Mr. Mairone had placed a Cease & Desist order on my account with Wells Fargo so they were not allowed to contact me! I knew nothing about this..On the Tues after Memorial Day Weekend, the sherriff from Bucks County came to my door @ 7:30 Am waking my family & serving me with foreclosure paperwork. To make a very long horrific story short, I ran around for 4 days collecting documentation that the bank needed to suspend the foreclosure and to place me in yet another forbaerance agreement until I hopefully become gainfully employed so that I can get a permananet Loan mod. I did venture into another plan with Wells Fargo..I have never been in foreclosure & was very upset! I asked for a refund from Mark Mairone 5 weeks ago. He agreed to give me my cash back less time & hours spent on my file and that he would pay me back in installments justl ike I paid him. I said ok..only to hear from him yesterday morning on 6/26/2012 that he was not going to give me a refund! This dude is a fraud and a total joke..I agree with both the other ripoff file reports pertaining to how this person conducts business. I did NOT need to spend $2100 to get another forbearance plan that I had already achieved twice before on my own! I was promised a Loan Modification and that was what I thought I was paying for!

I was referred to homeowners counseling by a friend. It seems that some people have a positive experience while others have a very negative experience with the services. We too had a terrible time with Mark Maroine. His issues are beyond lack of customer service skills. He yells, insults and never addresses the issues involving the process of applying for a loan modification. We decided not continue with this company after we found out that they have high staff turn around and lack of timely follow up with the bank. They took our money and waited for more than two months to collect all the paper work to make the application. In the end they did not even have it together and blamed it on someone they "fired." I never met Mr. Mucci but in my personal opinion his post here seems to imply a threat to anyone who wants to share their experience with this agency. I would not recommend this agency to others... just the fact that there are such different opinions says a lot about it.

Wow, After reading what was send about mark mairone and homeowners counseling it made me mad. First let me tell you that whenever i needed to call mark i got a hold of him from 9 am to 9 pm... He even gave me his personal cell phone number. the mark mairone that i know was not described in that post at all. he saved my house from foreclosure and got me a 1% interest rate. i even referred him to a few people and will do it again in the future.

I'm sure everyone is susceptible to having a complaint about them, but my dealing with Mr. Mairone couldn't have been any better. I actually was scammed prior to talking with Mr. Mairone's office but I needed help so I drove in to meet with him and one of his employees- Rhanda - both great people. I would recommend them to anyone who needs help. I can't imagine this is a legit complaint - they were professional and were able to help me so much.

I can fully attest to the highest quality of ethics and competance with Homeowners Counseling & Leonard Mucci. If you have any doubts about their negotiating skills and customer relations feel free to ask for their list of most recent modifications .They will confirm the A+ rating and show their commitment to customer satisfaction. Some people just like to complain and I feel sorry for them. They must have a sad sad life. It's more about them then the company. It will all come out in the wash.

Anonymous Homeowner who posted comments on 5/5/11 is lying through her teeth. Mr. Mairone has shown numerous homeowners the road to recovery with an overwhelming amount of goodwill and integrity. He refinanced my home in 2007 and I couldn't believe the extra time he put in to my refinancing by researching and counteracting all the lender's excuses. I suppose he put about 70 hours or more into refinancing my home, and he asked for almost nothing in return. I then realized this is no ordinary person. He has a long list of satisfied customers and the list is growing everyday. Ask him and call the satisfied customers and find out for yourself.

Hello,

My name is Leonard Mucci (please note the correct spelling of my first name), and I am an attorney in Pennsylvania. I was named in this above complaint. I would like the opportunity to respond to this complaint.

First of all, my office and Mr. Mairone at Homeowners Counseling work for homeowners to modify their mortgage loans. We do this for a fee. This fee, however, is fully refundable at any time, up to any point when the mortgage company makes a modification offer. If our clients are not 100% satisfied, we will refund their entire fee. We only require some form of written notice, be it a letter, a fax, or a PDF letter emailed to either of us that the client wishes to terminate the representation. If the party in the above complaint wishes to terminate representation, you need to simply send either me or Mr. Mairone notice in some written form, and we will refund all fees either through a check or wiring it back to you within 15 days of receipt, as stated in my retainer agreement.

Secondly, the above complaint states that Mr. Mairone's company “promised me that I wouldn't loose [sic] my house and my house would be saved”. That is simply not correct. I stress to my loan officers, my sales staff, and my processors that we are not able to make full guarantees that we can save a client's home. My retainer agreement clearly states that “[r]esults of the Program cannot and therefore are not guaranteed.” We can only guarantee that we will work zealously and to the best of our ability within the law to assist our clients. We understand that there are some situations that are so dire that a loan modification is not possible. Secondly, a loan modification requires dealing with people, people who may not agree with our clients' goals, and are subject to any number of factors such as their own company requirements, formulas, or even personal whims. Neither Mr. Mairone nor I will ever guarantee a successful modification result. This is the reason we allow full refunds. We realize that there are some situations outside our ability to help. Although we have a very high rate of success, we believe that if we are unable to help a client, even to the best of our ability, our clients are entitled to a refund.

As an attorney, the only real asset I have is the good name of my practice. I therefore religiously defend any attack on my good name. If this is in fact a dissatisfied customer, then I implore you to contact me directly, and if I am unable to help you, you will be refunded post haste. If, however, this is a false complaint against Mr. Mairone and me, I am prepared to use any and all legal means to clear my name. If this is fake, I demand a full retraction of this complaint or I will commence my vigorous defense of my good name.

Very truly yours,

Leonard J. Mucci, III
