Links Business Services / fraudulent check

1 United States Review updated:

I received a check in the mail today for $5, 998.89 along with a letter explaining that I had won $150, 000. The check was supposed to be part of my winnings to pay for the Non-Resident Government Service Tax. After reading numerous other complaints on this website, I realize that this is just a scam under a different name. I was asked to contact a claim agent before prior to cashing the check.

The addresses for every business and person mentioned in the letter are different:
Links Business Services - Ontario
Desiree Gross (tax agent) - London
Infinity Insurance Company - Alabama

What a crock!

Same name on my check, but different claim agent and bank. Also read all the other reports on here dated months ago, seems like a name change but same ole BS. Again, oh well. Too bad, money is always good but this looked too good!

I received one as well. Claim Agent is Gary Lewis. I'm inclined to try and cash the check anyway

going to a Bank of America branch near me. All they can tell me is that it is bogus. Angie
