Light In The Box won't refund my money despite return of merchandise

Do not do business with this chinese company! I ordered an electronic device (A wireless video recorder/receiver) in july from them after one of their online "salespeople" assured me twice that it came with two cameras. It didn't, despite the fact a camera is shown in the instruction booklet that came with it. It's a useless device without the camera. I returned it to china in october. No refund. No charge put back on my credit card. Just a huge run-around. I was told yesterday that I have to deal with paypal. I never even paid them via paypal! They won't give me a phone number so I can talk to a real person. I'll never see my $142 again. Keep your money and avoid the stress of dealing with lightinthebox.com. Scam and fraudulent outfit. They've got their merchandise back so they can turn around and sell it to some other trusting shlep like me. Buy american and save yourself the trouble. We have laws here against scams and frauds. If your money gets to china, you'll never see it again.

I ordered a dress a month ago. It said it would ship in 10 days. When it didn't I asked for a refund. So far I don't have a dress or a refund. You cannot talk to anyone in customer service. Only can submit online requests.

Light In The Box terrible service/product

Terrible experience. The dress I received is nothing like what was pictured; the picture showed a stretch satin dress with beading. I received a dress with a non-stretch satin with a tacky lace overlay and sequins. There was a tear in the skirt area. Contacting the company is not possible as they are in China and list no phone numbers. The website has a live chat option that is only for pre-sales questions and cannot direct to a further source of communication. Sending emails grants you a generic macro-ed email response that has nothing to do with what you have asked/stated. Terrible experience.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! They sent me a wrong item (totally wrong wall art piece!). I sent it back to them, and then they refuse to reimburse me! They are illegal scammers and thieves, and must be shut down!

I ordered a dress in April. In May a month later, I contacted them and they said they did not receive my money and to my surprise they had withdrawn the money from my account. So then they processed the dress but whenever I'd go to track it, there was no information. So I waited. I received the dress today and it doesn't fit. The train is too long. The color is too light and the zipper has a hard time zipping. I contacted customer service to get an RMA code but they didn't help me. They just told me to wait until I'm contacted. I would like to send the dress back and just get my full refund of $177.26. I have to travel for a wedding in 2weeks and I know I won't get the exchange back in time. Please just refund my money.

Hello,
I received the dress that I ordered back in April today but I didn't realize the train was that long. I am travelling to Africa and I can't have the train that long due to the dirt and this is also the wrong size. The zipper also seems to have a problem with zipping. It seems to have a hard time going up. I would like a full refund of my money. I tried to go on to my orders page but it says I have no orders on my page. I contacted customer service and they said I have to wait until someone contacted me and they couldn't help me any further. I have a wedding to attend in 2weeks and I know I won't get my exchange back in time. Please start my return process and send me an RMA code.

I honestly wish i had red this before i ordered my dress. I had three friends who had ordered from lightinthebox.com and who were so happy with their orders. I however received a ball dress that was two sizes too large only two days before my year 12 ball. I am a fairly slim and tall girl with curves and in this dress not only did i look as if i was drowning, but I looked unflatteringly large! Congrats lighinthebox you ruined my dream dress. I am not having to run around the city tomorrow and miss school in order to find a dress before Friday, problem is tomorrow is Thursday. The dress gaped at the back and there had been an extra two inches added to EVERY measurement despite the extra $30.00 we paid for custom measurements. This was unfixable due to the design of the dress. I am so disappointed ad will be returning the dress and i expect a FULL REFUND.

I have read the previous comments and couldnt agree more. I ordered my bridemaids dresses from light in the box. When they came 5 out of the 8 had major zipper problems. One dress had a crooked zipper a rip in the bodice and the seams puckered on the sides. Ligh in the box was already supposed to be sending me a refund of $300 for incorrectly charging my credit card twice which I never received. When I contacted them to return the dresses I was given the run around. Their customer service is non exsistent. And TRUST me once they get your money they dont care. If your thinking of ordering from them DONT DO IT.

I found the dress of my dreams on light in the box.com. I order and anxiously awaited it's arrival. When I opened the package, I was absolutely devastated. I was supposed to receive an custom measurement A-line satin gown with brush train and a fitted lace overcoat. What I actually received was a modified mermaid gown two full inches short on each measurement, a lace overcoat big enough for myself and two friends, no buttons' nothing. To top it off the lining of the dress had several blood stains on it. First I was told keep the dress, don't send it back, full refund on it's way, then send it back and we'll check it out, back and forth. No straight answers and they have a disclaimer stating that they do not give full refund if their product is not as pictured. Personally, when I shop through a site or a catalogue, I fully expect the item to be as pictured. Finally, I received an email stating a full refund has been issued. Two weeks later, no money. I have been fighting them for three months and they left me scrambling for a dress. I advise everyone to run very far, very fast if anyone mentions light in the box.

I ordered my Wedding dress with this company and when I received it, I was devastated, it did not look like the picture at all it was missing the detailed beading from it and the flowers and the back of the train was also mising, they replaced the dress and I was sent another dress exactly the same, I was shattered by this point with my wedding day now 2 weeks away...I did received a refund after a few weeks but then was left to find another dress at short notice for my Wedding...I will never buy from them again and I have sent pictures of the dresses to my Australian Wedding contacts...who have also put pictures up of other girls who have ordered Wedding dresses thru these scammers and they wont be getting our business ever again...Its just terrible that they can do this..they should make the dresses exactly as it is stated on the website...And trying to contact them is a joke...they never answer the phone and speaking to the chat line is just annoying because they dont help you...Never again light in the box...

On Feb. 03 2016 I ordered # [protected], before I submitted order the page said 3-5 day shipping, after I submitted it was 10-20 business days, it's been only 14 days but I'm concerned after reading some of the comments, on this site you said include order # which I did at the first of this comment and you will contact me, I trusted your company to do their part, I did my part when I ordered and paid in advance. light in the box is full of horse [censor]. They take your money and never send you your package. If this happens to you file a claim with your financial institution and let them know with in 15 days from the first day ordered. They will refund your money for you. If you use your visa and pay expedited shipping and it's no there by the last day. They have a strict policy they will also refund your money. Do not wait longer than 15 days it will make it a little harder. Good luck all I hope light in the box burns down by natural disaster. I hate them. lol

Hello All,

I have purchased a gps/dvd player for my car. I ordered it and got it after 9 days. HOWEVER! The device had more problems that I could ever imagine. DVD would freeze, gps did not work, there was a gps button but nothing happens if I click on it, Device would freeze and not turn off, I had to hard reset it few times, then hard reset would not work, I had to disconnect my car battery to reset it.

Nine days later after receiving date I contacted Lighinthebox. I was advised to ship item back for a replacement and they will cover the cost of shipment up to $70. For that amount of money the only option was to send item back through ground/sea. Usually it takes 4 to 6 weeks for the item to be delivered to china.

Here I am 58 days later, and I have not received a working item yet. Lightinthbox has refunded me the shipping cost (about 50-60 dollars). Unfortunately I have paid over $100 to get device installed. & will have to pay another $100 to get another wiring done, or to get the manufacture radio back in.

I have recently contacted the company to follow up on current status of order. I was advised item will be processed around June 7. So now we're past June 7, I contacted them yet again. I was advised that item is not available due to demand. Yea I'm sure people are dying to buy the same in dash gps.

I was quite patient with them. The main reason I purchased this device is for the road trip I'll be on very soon. So I guess if I’m on the road I’ll have no radio/audio player installed.

I have contacted my VISA Company, the one I used to pay for item, and filed complaint to dispute this sale. I was advised 4 weeks to get issue resolved.

At this point I DO NOT RECOMAND lightinthebox to other online buyers. I would have defiantly paid the extra $200 and purchased in dash gps from Best Buy or Future shop in my local area.

I will defiantly not recommend it to my father and sister who wanted to get in dash gps for their car as well.
If lightinthebox owns up to their promise and take serious action I will post updates to this post and let everyone know how they handled the case.

If by any chance someone from lightinthebox reads this, I have opened 4 tickets regarding this matter. I'm not sure what different it would make if someone from lightinthebox replies to my posting asking to resolve this matter. But If you do get a chance to read this my order number is: [protected], maybe you can post a reply on how you resolved this matter.

So yes I agree, they have the worse business practice I have dealt with online so far.

I have been fighting light in the box for 4 months for a refund on a defective wedding dress. Initially it was refund within 2 days, then 5-7 days, 30 and now 40. The comment by light in the box is just a lie. I sent back the defective dress, so they have the dress and my money. All of their emails just say be patient. Truly, their behaviour is criminal.

Absolute scammers!
Beware buyers do not use!
They took my money and never heard from again. I opened a complaint with paypal and was advised that if I wanted my item to close the dispute and they would send out 9-14 business days later! That was how long it was supposed to take after the recieved my payment!
Anyhow, I havent closed the dispute and am now fighting for a refund! Will not give up either! The telephone number they give ppl is never connected so the number I have obtained (By telling them I wanted to make a large purchase) is +[protected]. I think his name is gugu. Keep fighting fellow scammees, we all need to stand up against # like this!

Buyers Beware. Lightinthebox is a total rip off. I returned almost 200 Euros worth of merchandise through UPS and lightinthebox refused to take them back. I never experienced in my life what they have put me through. Excuse after excuse rather than deal with the problem. I have lost all this money through shopping with them. There should be away to stop their scam . They have our money and we are left with nothing but shoddy merchandise. Very unhappy Irish shopper.

and they said It will take maximum 1 week to get my order shipped.
So, I placed an order, and they took my payment very next day,

It's been 3 weeks now,
No reply, No Feedback No, updates on my order.
and I am still waiting for my order updates.
This is one of the most Awful shopping experience I ever had.

I too have ordered from this company on Feb 13, 2010 and they got their money on feb 14, 2010 from my credit card. I still have not recieved my order. All I keep getting is excuse afterexcuse about when they should be shipping out my order. This is insane. Very regrettful of doing business with this so called company. Beginning to think its nothing but a huge scam. I mean come on they have no phone number to reach anyone in their company. hmmmm something just aint right here and I am getting fed up

Light In The Box broken item

i ordered an mp4/p3 touch screen it took about 15 days to get and then i finally get my player it looked good
i charged it for alittle bit and then turned it on and was able to mess with it for a total of five min. then the stuipid thing just froze and that it, it wont unfreeze i even tried to reset it and it still wont work. I spent 50.00 for junk there has to be a way to close this site so no more people can get ripped off . the people from this web site are stealing and should be stopped

I also purchased a mp4/p3 touch screen player and it will turn on and freeze it doesn't turn off and it won't except the computer at all. I purchased it for my 7 year old daughter for Christmas and now the one and only thing she wanted doesn't work and I can't get anyone to help me. Light In The Box fake football tops

hello,
i have recently brought two liverpool football shirts from Lightinthebox, when i received the tops, they were both the wrong size, but i also noticed that the shirts were not the real thing, as there was no Adidas logo and the spelling on the inside tags was rubbish, the colours on the 2009/10 shirt was wrong on the back, it is suppose to be all gold not white, this i have checked on the proper shirts in the high street stores.
I did send Lightinthebox an e-mail regarding the sizes to see if they would e-mail me back, which they haven't, i have also read some off the other compliants regarding this company, and it is my belief that i will never receive any correspondence from this company.

Light In The Box awful experience

Ordered one and then two lettered and numbered jerseys from this company. The first came. After one wash (gentle cycle), the letters peeled. Notified them and they said they would give me 30% off on the other two shirts, which were not processed. These are fast e-mail communications (IM speed). I told them to cancel the orders. Within 60 seconds, they processed the orders so that they could not be cancelled. These people are not honorable. Not only do they sell these defective shirts but they do not replace them, even with other defective ones. Obviously, this is a company that one should not deal with. Do not buy soccer or sports jerseys from this company. The letters are just peel-off stickers that will not stay adhered to the fabric. And they do not care except for the money they collect from you.

Light In The Box rip-off company

Do not do business with light-in-the-box!

I ordered an anime costume from this company, paid extra for the package that included the matching slippers; included free shipping. When the package arrived, slippers were missing (Rejected by us customs), and ups needed $20.75 for shipping charges (Brokerage fees? Because the package originated in china).

Ups tells me if litb had ordered a different shipping/billing method, I would not be been billed the extra $20.75.

When I try to contact litb, I get an unmaned phone # (No voice mail, just "call back later). When the order was placed, I received an email from my"customer service rep", I tried to contact him. His reply: contact litb!

Litb says they will send new slippers — what good will that do?! If the first pair were rejected by customs, i'm sure the 2wnd pair will be too! And they didn't say a word about the ups shipping charges.

Ups has be a bit ticked off as well, as the driver told me proof of these shipping charges would be online, through the tracking number. There is no such proof. Its taken me several phone calls and numerous transfers to get anything from ups — everyone I talked to there says there is nothing available to proof that this was billed to me and that I paid it. How can a big co. Like ups not be able to print an invoice for their shipping charges?! I finally got a screen shot of the charges. But from what i've read about litb, I doubt that is going to help. Sounds like i'm just sol.

I am awaiting a reply to the cocktail dress I mailed back to you on March 14, 2011.
Has it been received? In addition to the dress, mailing costs were substantial and I've heard nothing. Your phone does not reply nor does the website provide any helpful information.. The dress was returned unworn, with tags still on because it did not fit me.

It looks like you should be mad at the US customs and UPS, not LITB. A store in China can't predict that one of the items they send you will be stopped by the US customs, or what extra fees UPS will decide to charge you.

Just in case you didn't know, UPS is a terrible company. They'll always have the highest "fees" to be paid when you receive the package. They also have a huge problem sticking to their delivery schedule and will always come when you're not home and then make 2 more imaginary attempts to deliver your package (yes, imaginary because the never really come back). And their customer service...well, I am not sure why they have one since they are utterly useless.

I have never tried LITB, but I did try UPS (regretfully) several times and I don't recall having a single positive experience with them. Just remember LITB is in a whole different country on the other side of the world and therefor communication problems, specially over the phone, are pron to happen. Besides, for what you described, even with all that they did try to fix the issue.

If they sent you what they were supposed to send, it's not their fault if YOUR country's customs decided to keep your slippers or if UPS decided you should be charged $20.75 to get your package.

According to what you said, the only mistake LITB made was using UPS to ship their product.

Light In The Box company is a rip off!

I purchased from this company 3 times. The first time I was scared, because they are in China, but everything arrived and I was happy with the product, so I ordered a second time. More than 1/2 of the items were incorrect, and one wasn't even in the box! I contacted them, and they sent me the missing item. And assured me that they would fix the other items. In the meantime I ordered again. This time was worse. Most of the stuff was incorrect, or never shipped at all. I was charged almost $180.00 for shipping, and only received about 3 pounds of merchandise. No refund on shipping was available - even on the stuff they never shipped (out of stock). It has been over 6 months and I can't get an answer on their phone #, no one returns e-mails or "tickets" left on the website!
THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF - PLEASE PROTECT YOURSELF AND DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

your reply seems to be one of concern to the customer who describes your company as a "rip off" if that is so, then i feel confident that you will put right an order which was meant for a wedding but on arrival only one of the items were fit for purpose but the other one could only be described as a shoddy piece of work which had poor quality stitching which rendered the garment un-wearable If you are to apply to this mail then i want it confirmed that return of goods will not have further shipping or any other costs adaded
Our understanding was that we were going to get a garment fit for purpose at a price of approx £32 but the invoice stated £52.oo so here is your chance to honour your word that your company can produce the goods, because without that you will just go to prove to myself and many others that internet shopping is not as good as it seems and there are a lot of social networks out there who will carry a positive message or a damaging negative one which can create large deficits to any company and one of those social networks is run by my son

Light In The Box still have not received refund

I purchase a cell phone from this company back in December of 2008. After several e-mails and such they assured me that it would work. When I recieved this phone (which was a present for my daughter) I look at it and it looked like it was new. Well when we went to get this cell phone up and running it would not work. Then I relized it was a used cell phone. The manual had writing in it and such. I contacted this place about it and within the 7 day returned policy. I shipped it back in Jan. after a ton of emails back and forth they quit responding. It is May now I still havent received my refund of over $200.00 yet. I would suggest that nobody does buiness with this company.If you do BEWARE

Why use paypal? I have always used an ordinary credit-card (Master/Visa) - and if I don't get the goods which I have ordered, I can ask my Danish bank - to refund the money paid/which have been drawn on my account (Possibly a problem when using an extra, outside agent for the payment?)! And I have bought several items from L.I.B. also with one faulty item. When I complained I got the missing part, a bolt in an envelope - or actually 4 new bolts!

I ordered some items from this company in June 2008 and they did not ship the some of the items, so I initiated a dispute on my paypal account. They emailed me that the ONLY way to refund my purchase was to close my paypal account of which I did because it was the first time I've used international payment thru my paypal account. They LIED and LIED to me because after I closed the dispute with paypal, there was no recourse for paypal to initiate the investigation process. After numerous emails back and forth and having tried the U.S.A # (which is a fake # because no one answers), they've stopped responding to my email. I sent them several nasty emails that they were a POOR and UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS and I will NEVER do business with them and will definitely tell my friends and families about their POOR SERVICE. It is now May 2009 and still have not receive my refund.

Light In The Box merchandise misrepresentation

Purchased what I thought was a cute mini dress for my daughter. What arrived was completely different from what was on the website. I have contacted the company numerous times to receive even a partial credit but they keep ignoring my requests. Customer service does not even respond. DO NOT SHOP AT LIGHTINTHEBOX. There is a reason the prices are so cheap. The merchandise is tacky!

Light In The Box product misrepresentation

Do not purchase anything from Light in the Box. I ordered my daughter a size 2 mini dress. After paying a ridiculous amount for speedy delivery (speedy for them was 3 weeks) the dress arrived and it is a size 2 on the top and about a size 8 on the bottom. Instead of coming above her knee, it is down to her calf. Not to mention the quality is terrible and it looks nothing like the picture on the website. Everyone I showed it to could not believe it was the same dress in the online picture. I should have known better for shopping at an online site that does not allow returns. Of course the site indicates partial refunds but, they are telling me now they will not allow me to return it. I will complain to as many websites as I can warning people not to shop here. I don't even think Good Will would want this dress.

I usually dont order out of the country and next time Ill pay more attention. My order was placed on October 24th A month later I have no package and still to see a refund. I was going to return to sender since the wedding I ordered it for already passed but I have no package to return to sender. The customer service is automated they have answered all my messages and keep saying that it will arrive soon. Im tired of logging in everytime I want to message customer service. The shipper tracking information is chinese so I have no clue where it says my package is. I explained this to them and after I pressed the supervisor button he just said to be patient. Paypal now has a feauture that until the package reached the buyer the company will not get paid, boy do i wish i activated that prior to this order or i wouldnt be asking for my $44 back.

Ordered August 6th. Credit card charged 8-6. On 8-15 they advised the product had been shipped. On 9-5 they advised product mailed on 9-5. Now 9-30 and no product received. Scam company. No phones, no customer service. Bombard your e-mail with unsolicited advertising. Avoid at all cost.

I ordered a dress from that site a dress for my brother wedding and they said it need 3-5 days shipping after 7 days I was told customs in my country might need 10-12 days, so after 2 weeks I asked and was told they are gonna investigate...after 3 weeks no follow up from them I sent them their law of Overdue Orders

they told me they can arrange a 50% refund or full refund if I refused to sign for the package, I sent them again their law, and told them the address is a work address and anyone in company can sign for it so this is not applicable, and complained to supervisor...
do you know what she said she want to refund me only shipping cost if I decide to keep the dress... can you believe that going from 50% refund offer to just ...shipping cost refund, and their law says full refund... so can you see how they trap poor customers like me which I fell for that trap. and she said the plane was reduced due to Middle east situation I am not living in the middle east! and that means the package is still there and not shipped at all... so its not true what they said that it has been shipped 5 weeks ago.

I have read in numerous reviews online, after my situation unfortunately. Upon sniffing out those complaints lightinthebox representatives always give THE SAME USELESS DEFAULT answers that are copy and pasted, and this is my situation they keep responding with a twist but same information as if they don't even read what you send them
Now I have no dress, no refund, and a wedding to go to next week... poor me of course. I will file a claim with my credit card.
Please save yourself from future headaches and do not buy from this site!

I ordered approx. $30.00 worth of clothing from this company. I was apprehensive because I was burned one time before on a online order from China. When I checked out, I used PayPal for payment. I never received confirmation of the order, and marketing emails from them indicated that I did not buy on my last visit. After about a month without receiving the order, I contacted PayPal to investigate the problem. Not long after contacting PayPal, I received a package from them, but it contained items that I did not order, don't fit, and I don't like, It seems as if they lost my order details, then when contacted by PayPal they figured they should send me something! I failed to contact PayPal in time before this case closed, so they paid the company the $30.00. As of now, there is nothing I can do about it. I will not be ordering from this company again!

Way back in April I returned a dress i ordered (which fitted too big). I sent the package registered too, to make sure they received the item. However to this day (3 months after) I haven't received any acknowledgement whatsoever. A dress which shpuld have cost 100 Euros ended up costing me double. I bought a dress from light in the box. The order was messed up but finally completed and I recd t he dress. It ws needed for a wedding and hardly got here in time. Then when I tried it on Inoticed that the dress wasnt sewn correctly. The seams didnt match, the zipper was not in right, the hem ws a disaster. One sleeve on the jacket was smaller than the other. So I referred to the return policy. They told me to return and Id be refunded my money but not the postage to return. Also when I read the info to return policy prior to buying, it left out the details that caused this complaint. After requesting a return I was given time slots for refund. It, the way I figure would take over a month. if not more. Then Ihave to send it to China for gosh sake and the postage was very high. nearing $50. That isnt reimbursed. So if and when I ever get reimbursed, Im out at least the postage, maybe restocking fee or whatever they call it, and I dont have the money for another dress for the wedding which is in 10 days! This was THEIR fault, not mine. My measurements were right, theirs werent. Poor workmenship which I should have known as I lived in China for three years! I see other complaints but they still continue. I will say, their customer service reps are nice and professional, however, they dont make the rules. Im sure others just let it go as it is hardly worth the effort. Im not but I feel I should be reimbursed for the postage to china also...and the full amount I paid of $138. I also think they double charged me for the jacket which would be another $43 ...that they are cking out, I hope...Thank you. Dy

Learn from my mistake!
I ordered several items from lightinthebox on jauary 26, 2017, mainly home improvements about 200 usd. Of course a the shipping took forever, when finally I received the merchandise in march, it was already too late and did not apply the 30 days warranty. They figured it out how to get rid off the crappy, defective products they sell! The shipping will take for ever and they only give you 30 days of warranty to even dispute about a defective merchandise and of course it will be denied. They will take payment immediately on line, to
Ship or resolve anything, it is like "waiting for godot".
They will give you the run around and you will never going to see anything resolved. They are in china and the buyers are in the otherside of the world. Eventually they will completely ignore your emails. What a fantastic customer service : they are wrong you are right but "you should be undarstanding" about the crap's not working.
Now what I don't understand that if there is a bad, defective product wouldn't make sense to have it replaced? Afterall if a product does not work after a couple of weeks, then there is an issue with that particular product. It is defective!
Not with light in the box. Apparently the don't have enough light in their heads to figure out that how powerful internet is and for the cheap crappy product they are selling eventually, they will not have any buyer left to cheat and screw.

I had no problem with buying my phone and everything looked good and the phone was shipped in time. But when I started it it was mirrored, so I restarted it and it was back to normal. After that I was about to call my mother and saw that I didn't have a mobile network. So I can't send a text-message I can't receive a text-message, I can't call or receive a call. So I thought 'what if I test to reset the phone and see what happens.' and I did. And look it worked, in 5 minutes... So now I have a phone that doesn't work!
I have tried to contact them, but I don't get any response from them, and that is not OK. Oh I almost forgot, a week after the broken phone got to my door I received an invoice from UPS that didn't emerged when I bought the phone. And is not OK either.

Light In The Box poor customer service

Ordered a phone and dig camera from this iste operating out of China. I paid fro express shipping which should've been 7-9 days but low and behold the CHinese New year happened and my order took a whole month to be delivered. When I ask for compensation on lengthy delay-all they offered was 7.99 the difference between express and normal shipping.

My order arrived without all the bonus accessories which should have accompanied the camera. I emailed customer service, Took them a while to understand that items were missing and they promised quick delivery. After 2 weeks I emailed again to find out why shipping was taking so long. Customer service emailed me back with what appeared a tracking link. I couldnt open any infromation from the link and emailed back to say that.

This time the reply from customer service said airmail does not provide tracking and should take between 10-30 days. I am still steaming with rage!

DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM. Their service is really slow and customer service really lacking!

Light In The Box do not buy from them

I ordered a phone almost a month ago and they sent me an email saying the phone i wanted was out of stock. well on the site it still doesn't say that the item is out of stock. i sent them an email telling them another item to send instead, but i never got a reply back. i have sent more emails, all with no response. my order status says processing, but it shouldn't take a month to process an order, ever. do not order anything from this site, don't let the fact that you can pay with pay pal fool you. they are very unprofessional and have terrible customer service, as in none. DO NOT BUY.

Umm, I just sent in my order today. Now, what I have seen so far tells me no one has any common sense. How high quality/well made do you expect your items to be if you are paying $5.00 for a dress or $50 for a digital camera? I ordered only clothes, never even CONSIDERED getting any electronics. Yeah, you want a beautiful full-princess wedding gown with a 40-foot train- and it only cost $300? Hope you noticed the notation that they are all 100% polyester. And they have every right to be. ITS A THIRD THE COST OF A GENERIC CRAP DAVID'S BRIDAL GOWN! Also, a woman posted she ordered her gown for a May wedding in April. That doesn't give time for alterations or if they send her the wrong dress. It has to come from the OTHER SIDE OF THE PLANET. How is it the company's fault this person doesn't understand internet purchases, or have any forethought other than "Oh my God! These dresses are soo cheap!" That's the operative word here, cheap. It's not "a Deal" or "a Bargain" or "cost-effective" or "inexpensive" Its CHEAP.

Everyone goes in drooling over the low prices, but I was taught that you get what you pay for. I personally don't mind cheap clothing because with the rate things go out of style, it doesn't make sense to spend tons of money on cute trendy clothes. Buy trends cheap, but for staples that last, spend the extra dough.

I bought an underwater sports video camera RD31, it doesn't work but the most annoything thing is that when I loaded the camera driver into my system it turned off my ant virus and ran it's own virus checker which locked all the system then took me to a website to pay £49.99 for their ant virus. while i havent dealt with this company, always use paypal, if its hasnt arrived in adeququate time, open a paypal dispute and only comunicate thru paypal, if they request copies of identification, which is completly unnessecary,

Immediatly escalate your claim,

Dealing with another shower of B#@$@$@ chineese wholesalers, just the threat of complete escalation was enough to get a full refund.

Never ever ingage in email/livechat communication, it gets you no-where and is un-recorded in relation to paypal.

I totally agree! They have ripped me off over $300 and they refuse to give me my money back! And half of the items I didn't even order and they still charged me...I wrote to their customer service department and no response. Not only that, but there was not packaging slip or return information for the items. I had to pay out of my own pocket for shipping of over $60 (standard mail) just to return all their crappy products that were poorly made and other items I didn't even want! It took them over a month and a half to process my order. Even then I had written several email complains about my order. Customer service won't email you back and their 1-800 service number is disconnected! I reported them for fraud to my credit card company. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! YOU WILL BE SORRY, like me.

Light In The Box artwork / painting = bogus

This sight sells popular contemporary canvas artwork that they claim is hand painted. Well I ordered a peice that was a Laurie Maitland called "tabbacco and chocloate". It got here and it was definitely hand painted by someone that has no talent. It was a bogus hand painted rip-off that looks nothing like the original. Do not buy artwork from this place. They also run other websites. lightinthebox.com, eshopwalk.com, and others. Don't be fooled by the cheap price, spend the extra bucks and buy from overstock.com or some other reputable source.

Light In The Box order not recieved

In November of 2008 I began searching for a company who sold NFL jerseys at a discounted price. I gathered 82 friends and compiled an order for 143 NFL jerseys.

I contacted Lightinthebox.com and due to the order size was referred to a man they called Jack. After a series of emails and lists of desired jerseys, we finally worked out an order they could fulfill. The price given per jersey was $19.98 and they agreed to pay the cost of the Western Union transfer ($26.00) and Jack said I could deduct $40.00 for two free jerseys for doing the legwork in putting the order together. The final amount sent was $2791.00 and was transferred on December 3rd of 2008.

Within two days of taking our money, Jack came back and said he needed $300 more or he would be fired. He said he was wrong for making the order and couldnt sleep, ect. I told him that he should send back our money but then reversed his position and said he would make it right. Then after many days of emails back and forth asking for order numbers from them, tracking numbers, ect... he sent me an email with a shippig list that would span two shipments over two days.

To date I have received a total of 66 jerseys and the remaining jerseys ar still unaccounted for. The first 4 boxes were shipped on December 17th and made it to my doorstep in 4 days via DHL, however the remaining jerseys which were to be shipped on the 18th were never sent. I have sent repeated emails, phone calls, and IM's trying to get answers. I have used their chat and contact info on their website only to get run around and brushed off by the persons on the other end.

I have found that their offices (US phone numbers) come from the 650 area code in the US which is in the San Fransico area in CA. and I will be making contact with the BBB in CA to see what can be found out about them there.

It is my opinion that if a company were to do business like this in the USA, they would be in litigation up to their necks within a week. If you want to buy from Lightinthebox it is a gamble in my opinion. If they do send the remainder of my order I will return here and remove or retract this post.
