Went to review this site based on the fact that on their TV ad you can't read the "FINE PRINT" AS USUAL. Just on what I could find without having to create a account IMO this started out as a good "Idea" gone horribly bad!! They charge between $10 to $110 per month to "Protect Your credit identity" but according to "the fine print" it only applies to business (?) within their system?? With a little more checking I found out a lot of business that had originally joined have since BAILED out... Also, the government has launched numerous "investigations" into their claims and business practices!! IMO, you can probably do a better job of protecting your identity and credit yourself, STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS...

Your complaint seems a bit disingenuous and off the mark of what this site is about. You haven't been harmed -yet this complaint seems to be duplicated on various complaint sites. I question your motive for slamming LifeLock for no apparent reason. LifeLock has won several awards recently including, 2 for its efforts to educate consumers about the risks of identity theft. The Hermes Creative Awards gave LifeLock a Gold Award for its Speakers Series, and the American Business Awards named LifeLock a Stevie Award wner. They have won awards for working with FBI LEEDA and the National Organization for Victims Assistance for their work with law enforcement agencies across the country. They were nominated as a Stevie Award finalist (prestigious annual business awards) in 14 categories, including, Customer Service Department of the Year and Corporate Social Responsibility.

They would not be getting awards such as this if it were a “scam.

Additionally, the price you note of $110 is an ANNUAL price for various services you checked off. LifeLock's legal issues were over old ads and old services today can help alert you to problems that may occur and then be there to help clean it up. Do your homework and you will see that their service guarantee to help restore your name, was copied by virtually all other services that followed behind them. They are definitely a leader in the industry who is trying to keep up with fighting criminals and educating law enforcement and consumers while doing so.

And lastly, this complaint doesn't report you were harmed, and didn't note that you purchased and then changed your mind, so I am perplexed why you are on various complaint sites duplicating this complaint -when these boards are for people who have been abused or harmed by corporate irresponsibility. As I noted above, your complaint seems a bit disingenuous and off the mark of what this site is about. This site helps consumers who have real complaints and need a voice to help expose them. This site should not be exploited for other agendas that would call into question its credibility and that would be a true disservice to the public.

I agree lifelock is a scam! I was a customer of lifelock and decided to cancel there service because it wasn't worth it! That is false protection! And yes I was paying them $9 a month! If you want to really protect your identity lock your credit files through the credit beaurus for a one time charge and place fraud alerts every 3 months to be elegible to recieve credit reports every three months.

@ Denise Richardson what are you talking about????????? Even the president Todd Davis which is his own business lifelock didn't work for him since his identity has been stolen a lot of times! Lifelock can be making up those awards

I just got off the phone with a Taylor in customer service whom asked me a series of questions to access my account- once approved- I shared with her that I had a text and call from KHOLs say that I owe them money. I asked if someone had tried or actually opened an account with my name- and she indicated with a caned speech that even though Lifelock does help to protect against identify theft she said that they can not identify all- which I understand- I asked her again- to check to see if anyone opened an account -and she said that from what she could see- nothing had any alerts. She wanted me to call Kohls to get this squared away if someone opened my account. I am paying them to stop it before it becomes an issue- or to alert me before it becomes an issue. I don't need some company to just monitor my account- but to act on my behalf- this is Bull XXXX and I will be calling back to cancel their service. If anyone is considering using Lifelock- don't do it- they talk a good game but do not deliver! Period!!!
