They sent me several letters indicating that I had previously had carotid artery screening and was at risk for high cholesterol and needed to be re-screened or other risk factors. I was given the address of their van and a date to show up.
I called their number and asked for a copy of the previous screenings they claimed they could only make appointments. I called and asked Dr. Shepherd to call me back. She has never returned any calls.
Neither I nor my doctor are aware of any tests on the date they claimed I was screened. In fact, my doctor stated my cholesterol level was just fine.
It's a scam. They send these letters to people and scare them into coming in for tests. They even offer a coupon for a discount.
The NYS Board of Medical Ethics says that what they do is not actually against the law. Reprehensible as it may be.
People should watch out for them.

My husband and I have used Lifeline screening for over 10 years now. I have also had screening through doctors and hospitals which supported the Lifeline findings. We have always found the staff to be friendly, organized, efficient and professional. I think they provide a great service and I am very appreciative that they are around.

You are correct... My experience with LifeLine Screening is that it's a scam. They charged my $129 and never sent my results. I've contactd them my email and by phone. They promised that results would be sent. 2 months later... nothing. Yep, LifeLine Screening is a scam.

LifeLife Screening Radiology investigated this complaint. The medical practice had received a faulty "change of address" form, resulting Ms. Warshaw receiving mail intended for someone else. Fortunatly, Ms. Warshaw did not received the medical records of another person. LifeLine Screening Radiology has apologized to Ms. Warshaw and regrets the error.
