TACKY & HORRIBLE ORDER PROCESS
I placed an order on Lids.com for 2 fitted caps for my husband on Dec 3, 2012. I did not create an account at the time so I was unable to track the status of my order. I waited a week to call to find out the status. So here it is on Dec 10, 2012 and I called Lids thinking they were going to tell me my order was shipped and should be arriving soon. A customer service rep tells me my order was deleted on Dec 4th! Huh? What? Talking about it didn't pass a 3rd verification check. He said the order goes through a serious of verification checks and for the 3rd and final one the order failed. Mind you the $60 for the order was taken out of my bank account. So taking the money out of my account passed, right?!?! I was not contacted at all about my order being deleted. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he was NO HELP! I had my order being shipped to my private UPS box because "Hello?!?!" it is holiday season and I want to ensure I don't miss any package deliveries. The supervisor asks me how long did I have my UPS box.. I told him almost a year now. He said maybe because it is a new box the previous owner was dishonest with Lids? Are you friggin serious?! I told him if my shipping address was a problem, why not contact me and tell me it needs to be shipped to my home address which is the same as my billing address? He told me that he is just speculating as to the reason the order didn't pass verification. It can be a number of things. He then said when an order is deleted an email goes out and asked if I checked my spam folder. Ummmmm... I got NO EMAIL about an order being deleted! I am so irritated and I just want my money back in my account! This is the most tackiest and unprofessional way to do business. Just give me my $60 back and Lids don't EVER gotta worry about me doing business with them again! Just tacky! I have never. My order failed but taking that money out of my bank account sure passed! Waited a friggin week to be told this nonsense. Unbelievable!

Their site is not secure! Somehow they lost my personal info, and a stranger started using my credit card info! They lost my personal information!
DO NOT PUT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION ON THE INTERNET!
I have friends in the high tech industry. They have done IT work for corporations and military and government and other places I do not ask them the details. They ALL tell me that THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A SECURE INTERNET CONNECTION! GET IT? I HOPE SO!
These people are at the TOP of their game. They are paid big bucks also to see if they can hack various sites and point out these weaknesses to their IT people who maintain these sites.
So when they tell me these things, there is NO WAY IN HELL I AM PUTTING REAL NAME, DATE OF BIRTH and FINANCIAL INFORMATION on ANY Internet site. That includes bank account numbers, credit car numbers, date of birth, social security number, driver's license number, student id number, etc.
You don't know WHO or WHERE is getting your information or can get it in the future! NOT FOR SURE!
Your letter just provided me with the reenforcement for my decision. I will also NOT be patronizing anyone who does not have a solid address to send them a US Postal Money Order for payment. That way, if there is a glitch, I can get the US Postal Police and maybe the FBI on the fraudsters.
I AM NOT SAYING THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS OR FRAUDS. Just that based on this report, they will NEVER get ANY of my business!
I am sorry this happened to you. Consider it a lesson in Internet Commerce and be more careful.

The "https" means a SECURE site. "http" is NOT a secure site.
In other words, did you use a non-secure site (no https) thereby making your information non-secure, or did they (apparently) loose/sell/whatever your info? And how did you determine that "Lids.com" is the source of your problem?

Ordered an Ohio State boonie hat online Thursday October 27th, order # [protected]. The hat was on sale for $26.24, after placing the order my online receipt showed a price of $34.99.
Submitted a message asking Lids to have the price adjusted...no reply.
I had three hats in my hand and put them on the counter. The lady that was working there was on the phone. Another customer came In grabbed a hat and she waited on him. One hat and I had three. This is a bull s move. That’s lids for taking care of your customer and making less money I’ll take my business somewhere else.
One of your Culver City Employees Lindsey A Harvey treated us very rude then turned around and posted this on her Instagram this should not be tolerated
