Do not confuse with Liberty Health Share, a Christian organization in which members share healthcare expenses. This is the company I thought I was contacting.

I purchased a Liberty Health "policy" November 2017 to be effective January 2018. I had to pay the first month's premium plus an additional fee of $99, as I recall. I was told a separate policy would be needed for lab work — that should have been a red flag.

In January, after receiving my policy documents, I found there was no coverage for any condition related to treatments I had received in the previous 12 calendar months. I had a kidney stone in December (several weeks after the policy was purchased) and could not get follow up exams or treatments when potentially related symptoms appeared in January.

In March, I received an email saying there was no coverage for persons 65 and older — my "policy" was being cancelled. The agent did state that this "insurance" did not meet ACA criteria, but I was not told about the 12 calendar month prior condition treatment exclusion nor do I remember the age restriction being mentioned. I spent over $800 for 90 days of worthless "health insurance" and am stuck with doctor's bills on top of that.

I see these companies as RIP OFF artists and recommend you avoid transacting business with Liberty Health (can't even find a website for them), First Quote Health, or Alliance for Consumers USA.

Can't help but wonder if the Liberty Health name isn't designed to make customers think they're dealing Libery Health Share (a Christian health expense sharing organization which does have a website).
