LGI, like other home builders offers an 11 month home check. Look in your home builders warranty and you will see that warranty work after move-in is limited to what is outlined specifically in those materials. Things that are covered is faulty wiring, major foundation problems, problems with pipes, etc. The 11 month check is basically a check for your homes sheetrock. I am a resident in the LGI Sunrise Meadow community and on the 11 month check sheet it specifically states it is a "sheetrock check". During the first 11 months in your new home the home and building materials "settle" and can create hairline cracks in corners of rooms, around door jams, and sometimes around cabinets. They come in and correct those cracks if any are present and repaint for you. Your problem with the cement in the garage is not something that any home-builder would cover after the purchase of the home. That sounds like something you should have pointed out during your walk-through before you signed the papers to purchase your house. Don't blame your home-builder because you did not fully understand your home's warranty. It is printed clearly in the contract you signed before you purchased your home.
