LG Electronics reimbursement of a service call that never happened

Never ever, ever buy lg product! Freezer of my lg refrigerator stopped working. We called the 1-800 number on the back of the refrigerator and arranged an appointment for a technician to come to the house. We were told we had to pay a fee of $250.in advance, which we did. The next day the freezer was working again. We called to cancel the appointment. We were then told it would take 6 to 8 weeks to be reimbursed. I called to say this was unacceptable. I received no service and yet I had to wait 6 to 8 weeks. I spoke with a customer service representative by the name of aldrin and after being on the phone for over an hour and asking to speak with a supervisor I was put through to carl and he was very rude and unhelpful...

Being within the industry, I can tell you it's good that they are willing to refund you anything. There are times when, because they route their times around the requested service call, there is still a required cancellation fee.

With all of that said, I really do like LG. I wouldn't hesitate owning one.

LG Electronics mobile phone lgh860 g5

There is no serice for parts or any office in Europe, ME and most of Asia that will attempt to service this. they all give the brush off to find sercie in Riyadh, SAudi where I buy. Jarir bookstore tell me to find serice on main web site as no service in Saudi.
Philillipines is trying to help. USA will only talk to hose buying in USA. Its rediculous as each country has own web site and you must be living there to get service.
There is not parts center to buy a camera glass that broke on mine. How can they compete with iphone and Samsung with such very very poor serivce ?

Why does each country serice and sales pass it off to someone else just as useless to provide any support ?

LG Electronics refrigerator

DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS. Worst customer service and warranty repair service I have ever seen. Refrigerator stopped working, called Lg and was given repair company to call they couldn't get to me for 2 weeks asked them if they could order compressor as to bring with them when they came was told they would. Received call today to confirm repairs in 3 days and was told that they would only be coming to check and see what was wrong with refrigerator and then would have to order parts and it would take another 2-3 weeks to schedule actual repairs and pay for 2nd service call, parts are under warranty but not labor.

Most manufacturers only cover the warranty for one year. LG is one of the few that guarantee the compressor for the additional time. The problem is arbitrarily bringing out a specific part -- without confirming the problem, it could be just as easily be the evap or some other part(s).

LG Electronics french door refrigerator

We puchased an LG French Door Refrigerator (Model #LFC22770) in December 2014 and here I am less than 3 years later paying about $400.00 to have it repaired. This is a joke so I called LG to try and negotiate a better price but was informed it was too late to argue the price since they had already sent the technician. My concern was that the repair was SO EXTENSIVE, once he showed up, and it is only warrantied for 90 days. I told the manager I was so disappointed that they would not discuss a discount and that I would not have the refrigerator repaired again NOR would I ever purchased another LG product to which she replied that was fine and to have a nice day. So thank you LG for nothing and making sure that I NEVER purchase another of your products for my home, I hope the $400.00 was worth the loss of a customer.

Shaun, do you work for LG? When a customer express a concern, the company should respond to the concern, not asking the customer to spend more money on extended warranty as the only solution. I tells me the product is not durable and should not buy the product

I would disagree that LG is a bad product. I'm very involved with the industry. I wouldn't hesitate owning an LG. On occasions anything can go out. If this was a major concern, you may want to check with the retailer you purchased it through. Many offer extended warranties that would cover such repairs.

LG Electronics lg mobile phone lg g5 repaired 3 times and forth time is on the way

I can understand why there is no alternative for mobile phones that it's HW keeps failing.
I have lg g5 which is not one year old and already had GPS issues twice, camera issue once and now I have new ticket open for screen ghosting and this will be the forth time in less than a year.
I ask if I can get different manufactured date which have those issue resolved or other solution but I keep hearing, fixing is the only option. Well that option isn't works for me. I need reliable phone as I don't have good backup for all the time my LG g5 is in repairs and shipping.
Your high management should be aware of LG HW reputation is bad and also customer support.

LG Electronics repair nexus 5x

Sent in the repair for a no power issue mostly due to the boot trap/overheat issue. Was told touch screen broken and LG doesn't perform partial repair. Got the phone back. There is no touchscreen crack. The plastic camera lens cover is broken. LG was going to charge me 160 dollars to replace the camera lens cover? End up still with a dead phone. All my travel picturs were inside. I just need it to be fixed so I can at least turn the phone on and transfer the pictures then I can just retire this awful phone

I purchased my LG top loader washer in April 2012, in 2015 I started to notice rust around the bleach dispenser. I’m pretty diligent about cleaning up spills etc... and thought this strange, if this were normal then all washers would rust around the bleach dispenser right? LG Electronics lack of service for warranty issue on lg refrigerator

We purchased an LG French door refrigerator (model LFX25991ST) from Home Depot in May 2012. We also purchased an extended warranty from Home Depot that expired in May 2017. We evacuated for Hurricane Irma in early September 2017. When we returned home, our refrigerator was not cold and everything in the freezer was defrosted. Electrical power had not been off and the refrigerator compressor was running. I contacted Home Depot but because the extended warranty was expired, they had me contact LG directly on September 13. LG provided the name and number of an authorized service provider in GA. We live on Hilton Head Island in SC. We were told we were not in their service area. I called LG again and they gave me two more authorized service providers to call. Same story - we were not in their service area. I again contacted LG who told me to find a local appliance repair service, have them come to assess the problem and get their contact information. LG would provide a letter of authorization for the repair. I found a local appliance repairman who came and determined the problem was the sealed system, which was still under warranty from LG. However, neither that repairman or the twelve others in the area that I contacted would repair a sealed system. When I called LG again, they gave me the name of A and E Service to contact. When I called them, they answered as "Sears" and said they could provide sealed system service on an LG in my area. I was to call LG and ask them to send a service request. I did that on September 21 and was told I should hear from A and E within three business days to schedule an appointment. I have not heard from them yet. Another call to LG yielded nothing - told to wait to hear from A and E. I have run out of time to wait for a possible repair because I have four house guests arriving this week. LG needs to provide service every where, especially for warranty issues!

LG Electronics washer/ dryer pedestal hardware

I bought 2 pedestals from Lowes closeout sale, not knowing that I will need 16 additional screws and some plastic tabs to install the washer and dryer onto the pedestals. The hardware shall be included in the user manual package. I did not check the detail when I bought them, there is one manual in the box when I bought them. When I took out the pedestals from the box, I notice that I need these hardware to install the washer and dryer properly, since it was not in the manual plastic bag, I thought calling LG would solve the problem easily.

I did the next morning, I found out that their call center is NOT in US, then I found our the ladies who answered the phone are not well trained to know the product, they insist the serial number has 12 digits, I told them that mine only has 10, they don't believe it. I sent them the picture that only has 10 digits, then they want my receipts. I don't have it with me at the time, so I asked them how much would cost me to buy these screws and plastic tabs, LG wants to charge me for the screws and plastic tabs, for $63 each pedestal! $126 for two packs! These should be less than $10 ! what a rip off!

LG has the guts to suggest me to go back to Lowes to get the receipt. I told them if I go back to lowes, I will take back these two pedestals and return them. I really had enough! I did return them! LG, it is YOUR loss, for 32 screws and some cheap plastic tabs, you lost a sale worth over $300 and these items will end up on your load dock soon!

I will not buy anything from LG again and will suggest the same to my friends as well!

$300 is quite the bargain for TWO pedestals. You'd normally pay $250 per unit.

LG Electronics what is lg doing???

I have been loyal to the LG brand for the past five years now. I have had the G3, V10, V20, Stylus 2, Stylus 3, and now the Q6. First of all, the weather animation option is not available on the Stylus 3 or Q6. On the Stylus 3, the newest version included a fingerprint sensor, but it left off the smart view. The K10 comes with a flip case smart view and a fingerprint scanner, but the Stylus 3 does not. Lastly, when I bought my LG Q6 yesterday I was disappointed that it did not have a flip case available to purchase (It seems they are only available in Korea! Thank you LG!), and it didn't have weather animations or a fingerprint scanner. Why so inconsistent with the features? I know the Q6 wasn't considered a highend phone, but I expected it to have more of the features I wanted than the K10? I'm in Indonesia and I know they don't make some phones available in this market. But what they have made available, is so inconsistent in terms of features. I'm considering switching to Samsung. At least they keep most the features consistent from mid to high range phones. GET IT TOGETHER LG!

LG Electronics 55 lcd lg 4k uhd led smart tv model # 55uf6450

We purchased this Television at Best Buy in December 2015 for our lake home in Northern Minnesota. For the 1st 8 months from December to August the television was used very little only on a few weekends in a month.
In July of 2017 the television would not turn on so I took it in to Best Buy which at the time I was told that it would probably be better to junk the television and buy a new one. I told Best Buy that we had the television hardly a year and a half and I wanted it to be sent in for a diagnostic. I had to pay Best Buy $35.00 to have it shipped to the Service Center. Several weeks later the Best Buy Technician called and said that it would cost over $900.00 to repair it. The screen was bad! I cannot believe that a television would last only a year and a half. I feel that I should get some compensation from LG the manufacturer. They should stand behind their product and if they do not I intend NEVER to buy another LG product and tell everyone I know my experience with the LG product.

We had the same thing happen. Purchased december 2015 from best buy and by February 2016 the screen had a green line down the middle and then full gray and black lines to no screen at all. We replaced both circuit boards on the back with no success. The screen is shot. What a waste of a TV. Not worth replacing the screen, be cheaper to buy new tv. This was our first and last LG purchase.

LG really does make some nice products, but to be competitively priced, the only offer their televisions with a one year limited warranty. Whereas this was a little nicer product, it may have been worthwhile to have purchased additional warranty coverage on the unit. It may be extremely frustrating, but when you purchase merchandise with a shorter warranty, it's difficult to complain.

I have purchased lg ac 2014 and after 1_1/2 years condensor leakes pay for Rs 6200 new fitted dated 22.09.2015, again same problem condensor leak 26.09.2017 me call care and he ans you pay for charges but why payment product repairing charge, allredy product problems, i am not satisfied this compny product purchase the lose of many and mantly trash.

Television repair request for internet password save issue but (LG) service rep damaged where the television now has no power. Called (LG) on 8/16/2017!due to TV will not save password. (LG) service repair replaced parts on 8/19 and 9/02/2017, on 9/15/2017 (LG) service repair replaced parts again, when powered my TV. No power. (LG) then requested to have more parts replaced. I demanded a replacement due to Tech caused a the power damage. I am visually impaired in which I require a larger screen to watch television. I requested a replacement but (LG) prefer to give a refund due to the television was purchased online. I also requested reimbursement for inconvenience due to my disability and was denied. I also purchased a (LG) voice remote due to impairment and a (LG) sound system. But (LG) has no compassion for the disable and no concern for all the expenses I incurred. Yet today I am being told I will be sent a box for me to pack the television and when received I will then mail a refund. So I now have to wait until someone can assist me to box a 60" tv and again wait until (LG) feels they want to mail my refund. How is that fair as a customer who tried to be loyal to company that doesn't feel the same about their customers. Furthermore I am a disabled customer. I have to sit in my home for months without a television. Then have to find someone to assist me in making another television purchase. All I requested was a replacement

LG Electronics washing machine

On December 18, 2014 I purchased a new LG washer. In March of 2017, it broke completely, and apparently there was an issue with the drum and spinning parts. Since it was out of warranty, I was told I had to pay 310. for repair, which I did. They repairman had to take out the entire drum and fix it and get new parts. The repair was not completed until April 24th. A few weeks ago I noticed that the rugs under the machine and the floor below were wet. I ripped everything out and tried to trouble shoot the issue since there was never any leak before. There was still a small amount of water, so I took off the back panel and saw there is a tiny drip from where the drum was put back on. I called since I never had a leak before the repair and it was a slow tiny drip. They said I would have to pay another 310., I asked if I could pay a reduced amount since the problem stemmed from their repair and was impossible to notice until now. I spoke to someone named Makka in Executive Service who told me it was my problem and there was nothing they could or would do. She was completely unresponsive to my issue and said it was my problem since it was out of warranty. The machine should not have broken in such a short time and the repair should not have caused an additional problem, which never existed before.

LG Electronics lg vk7320nhay vacuum bagless 2000w kompressor handle side control

I bought lg vacuum cleaner in Dec. 2015. Despite very light use, it started showing sudden automatic switching off and then automatic switching off during casual use without moving the on/off button at all. I requested the LG technical support, which arrived to my place on Wed.; the 20th of Sept. 2017. The technician was very unprofessional about checking the vacuum cleaner; as he only checked the on/off button parts to come up with the result that the hose should be replaced for more than 700 EGP, which is half the original price of the vacuum cleaner, and which is outside the warranty coverage. I refused the technical opinion of the technician and also refused the idea that it's outside the warranty coverage. I see it's an original error in the vacuum cleaner that's not because of the use; as the use is very light, the cleaner looks as new, and the flexible hose itself is manufactured to be flexible. So, why do I have to pay for its replacement?!
I submitted a complaint on LG Egypt Hotline, and I received a phone call from the company representative on Sat. 2017, who was also unprofessional at all. I wasn't sure if he was from the technical support or the complaints team; because he wasn't clear and was always trying to escape the questions; as if he was also checking that he contacted me!
He offered me two options that I again refused; either they send me another technician or I accept to pay for the hose replacement. I asked him if I can contact some other authority because I'm not satisfied about his options, his reply was that it was the maximum authority I can seek.
I'm totally frustrated about the whole issue, and hope to receive a solution from your side.

LG Electronics french door refrigerator

We purchased an LG French door refrigerator in September 2011 from Home Depot. In 2015 we gave that refrigerator to our daughter, son-in-law and two children as we had inherited an even newer LG 3 door refrigerator from our son who had passed away. This week our daughter's LG failed completely and was told by her local appliance store that the "control board" would have to be replaced but that there was a 3 week back order for that component. This is untenable! A 6 year old refrigerator should NOT have failed. It is my belief that some sort of adjustment should be made to the cost of repair. The reality is that appliances are not not produced, in general, like they were decades ago. I'm within the industry and can tell you it's not absolutely uncommon for a fridge to only last 6 years. On the average, most refrigerators will last about 10 years. This means for every fridge that lasts 6 years, there will be others that last 14 plus years.

I'd recommend that your daughter consider plugging the fridge in using a little nicer line conditioner. Feeding the electronics within the unit clean electricity can do wonders for additional longevity. In addition, make sure the fridge has ample airflow all around the outside. Compressors are smaller than ever to conform to current government efficiency standards. With that same line of thought, I'd clean very thoroughly around the compressor once or twice a year.

I further wouldn't hesitate to purchase an LG refrigerator. They are one of the better designs within the market.

Purchased this window a/c on Sep 26, 2016.
The fan and pipe broke into piece on August 30, 2017.
Submitted online service request on Sep 1, 2017. (within Warranty)
Called customer service on Sep 3, 2017 since no reply from online service request, an appointment was scheduled for one weeks after the called in date.
Technician came for appointment, found the problems, but was not able to work on the unit.
Called customer service to reschedule. I was informed to wait for 3-5 days to be rescheduled
Second appointment was scheduled. Technician came with ordered parted, however, he wants the wall to be broken in order to work on this window AC.
Called customer service to reschedule the third time. Was informed to wait for another 3-5 days for my schedule
3rd appointment was scheduled. Technician came. He did not want to work on this unit because he does have any parts to repair.
Called customer service for alternatives. Operator promised to escalate to high authority for priority. However, the ONLY solution suggested was to wait for another 3-5 days for a new schedule.

At this time in fall, temperature is dropping. My wall is left with a big hole. And, there is no sign of my window AC getting fixed.

According to LG customer Service, there is not other solution but wait another appointment for the technician to repair this unit. In each and every appointment, the time window requested was from 8am-5pm. I spent at least 10 hours total to wait for the technician. And each appointment, the technician stayed for 5 minutes and gave up. The technician instructed to have handyman install power outlet the first time. I did it. He suggested to break the wall and take out this AC. I hired handyman to do it. Still, he is not able to fix anything. I have already wasted my own 3 working days and 2 hours handyman labor money to try to comply with whatever LG technician requested. And now, I need to wait another 3-5 days to get a schedule.

If LG can not fix it, just tell me to throw it away instead of having me waisting time and money

I have very little apps downloaded on my (8.00) And have no room left..
Have never experienced this insufficient storage problem before
I am not technology savvy however
Like I indicate I have had many other cell phones with way more apps etc.downloaded.
Do not know how to free up space..I
Clear cache..uninstall games
Only had 2 games now down to 1
And still ( insufficient storage).

LG Electronics microwave - glass tray not included in the box

I bought an LG microwave, not to mention one of the most expensive microwaves WalMart sells. When I got it home I saw it did not have a glass tray with it. I called the 1-800 LG customer service number on the booklet that came with the microwave. The representative apologized and told me the tray would be sent out and I would receive it in 5 business days. After waiting a week and a half, I called LG back and they told me they needed proof of purchase. What?!?! The first representative never mentioned anything about that and told me the tray would be in the mail. So now I've had a microwave for almost 2 weeks I haven't been able to use, and it will probably be at least 2 more weeks before they verify my proof of purchase and send my tray. Very, very poor way to treat customers. I should have taken the microwave back to Walmart and just bought a different brand. Next time I will. Lesson learned.

LG Electronics counter-depth refrigerator lmxc23746s/00

Purchase date 12/9/2015. On April 23, 2017 the compressor went out. I knew I would have to pay for labor and thought that this was just a one time incident. It took until July 25 to get the compressor replaced after numerous phone calls. LG refused to issue a work order until after I had a repairman diagnose the problem. Six days after the compressor was replaced, the refrigerator stopped cooling (July 31). LG said to talk to the repairman. The coolant lines were cleaned and refilled on Aug. 10. The refrigerator stopped cooling again on Aug 20. LG had the repairman come back. On Sept 4, the repairman came and said the compressor needed to be replaced along with some valves, more coolant, etc. LG will send the parts, but not pay for repair, nor will they refund any money or replace the machine. Diagnosis cost $80. First repair $580. The current repair will be close to $1200. I paid $2700 for this machine and it has not been operational for the past 5 months. There is something wrong with a 16-month old refrigerator that the compressor goes out. Something really wrong when it goes out again 1 month after repair. Not one person at LG has been helpful! The last 2 managers, Wendy and Donald, told me that the refrigerator could be fixed. I said "at what cost". LG will not guarantee that the repairs will ever end and that "I am responsible for all labor costs because when I purchased their product, it was what I agreed to do." I have had to purchase another refrigerator and I will have to pay to have the LG hauled off. It has cost me hundreds of dollars for ruined food in addition to daily aggravation. I believe LG sold me a poor quality refrigerator. The company does not stand behind their product and has extremely poor customer service. I would advise everyone to avoid LG. This has been the most miserable experience I have ever had with an appliance!

Do not buy LG refrigerator. I am an LG customer, all the electronics and appliance in my house are LG product. This is the first time I am buying their refrigerator, it only lasted for 18 months.

Respectfully, I'd suggest LG really does make one of the better refrigerators within the consumer level market. It's frustrating, I know, but there's a percentage of any product which will begin to have difficulties before you might expect. I wish all the manufacturers would simply include longer warranty coverage, but they don't in order to stay priced aggressively. The only other choice is to make sure to buy from a trusted retailer that offers good extended warranty coverage, priced reasonably and well backed by the retailer you purchase through.

As a side note, make sure you've allowed for reasonable air circulation, especially whereas this is a cabinet depth fridge. Although the fridges are more power efficient, they don't have anywhere near the longevity.
