Worst fridge ever, only ten years old most of the shelves are broken
lower freezer door/slide out design no good . Had to keep raising control to keep cold finally freezer crapped out then the main parts a few days later. Will never buy a LG product again

LG Electronics electric range and dishwasher

Bought new LG electric stove (LDS4821ST) and dishwasher (LRE30453ST) (high-end and expensive) in Nov 2010; installed 6 months later after I remodeled our kitchen. I will NEVER buy an LG Product again!

Appliances should last longer than 5 years.

The stove went bad the week of Thanksgiving 2015 when sparks went shooting all over under the glass cook top.

The dishwasher started making grinding noises and stopped pumping the water out on January 2016.

LG would not return our calls or other correspondence.

We replaced the range with a Samsung gas and the dishwasher with a Whirlpool.

I wonder how long our LG refrigerator or front-load washing machine (purchased same time as the range and dishwasher) will last?

If you have money to throw away buy LG laundry products. bought, "Top of the Line" LG washing machine. From the day it was installed did not work. Called service was told would be a service charge to send repairman to service "new" appliance. Still does not work correctly. Piece of feces.

LG Electronics electric range

I have had a horrible experience with LG and will never buy another LG product. About 8 months ago I bought as beautiful electric range with the purple/blue oven that self cleans at a low temperature. The stove is still working great but I noticed that the enamel in the oven is just flaking off and where the racks are the enamel failed and popped off. I called LG since the oven is still under warranty and was told that this defect is cosmetic and that I would have to pay for parts and labor to have it repaired. Enamel serves a function in an oven, it protects the metal from oxidizing and protects the oven from heat and food that would be absorbed without enamel. I explained to the agent that this is a functional defect and not cosmetic and got nowhere with LG. They just don't care about their customers at all. I am a manager for a call center and could not believe the response I received on this issue and the attitude of the agent. I was fuming after this experience and wrote an e-mail to corporate explaining what happened and explained that if I do not receive a reply within a reasonable amount of time I will escalate or take action in another manner. I never did get a response so I spoke with the manager of Home Depot and showed them pictures and explained the bad experience that I had. This the manager picked up the phone and called LG and Explained the issue and added that the popping porcelain is also a health issue and being a convection oven is getting blown around. She got the same crap from them that I did. Other employees came over to see what was going on as this manager was fuming and stating that they have never ever seen a situation like this before. The manager then said that "we will take care of you and get you a new stove" and again stated that this was ridiculous. The manager was still angry over the situation and told me that she is making some calls to pull other managers together Monday for a conference call to LG Dealer support and said that she is going the climb the corporate ladder on this one. I see a ton of lawsuits against LG and a huge number of complaints, it seems that they do not care or respond to their customers and end up in a lawsuit. I was contemplating on a lawsuit but came up with a better idea. I am going to work closely with Home Depot management and get data on whatever they need and work to have Depot drop all LG product lines. I think I have Home Depot's attention on this and just have to follow the process. I have always had positive experiences with Home Depot and I don't want to see any more of their customers go through this experience and lack of accountability on LG's part. If everything is successful and LG products are pulled from Home Depot this will be a huge revenue loss for LG which is well deserved. This will hold them accountable for their actions and is far easier than a lawsuit and there is a ton of data on poor customer service and product support.

LG Electronics wrong information about part collection times

I was there to collect my part at 08:00 today 08/01/2016, document number QU114927 and was politely told that the supplying of parts only opens at 09:00, some nonsense that the system only goes on line at that time. Can you tell me where it states that fact, when the email sent to me specifically indicates that the opening hours are from 08:00 to 16:00 on Friday? I was not prepared to wait there for an hour and had to return all the way to Plumstead, wasting my time and petrol. I should be given a discount for the inconvenience. Not a happy customer. LG Electronics lg lw6500 3d tv no parts available

I was very happy customer of lg for quite a long time. Have an LG manufactured TV washing machine and coupe of mobiles. Had an issue on Nov 10, 2015 with my 42LG6500 3D TV which was bought during last quarter of 2012. Registered complaint with the customer care -RNA151110031665. Customer Care executive arrived on nov12, 2015 informed that there is an issue with the board and that needs to be replaced. But later informed that the board is not being manufactured any more and there is no stock with them(within just 3years from the date of purchase). As an alternative customer care executive informed that the company will take the old device and provide an amount after calucating the depreciation which can be utilised for purchasing another TV from LG themselves. And collected all the necessary document for this process. After two weeks due to consecutive calls we made to customer care we were provided am update that the amount that will be provided for purchasing new device will only be 29% for the old TV that was bought for almost 1, 00, 000 Rs. Also the new TV should be purchased only from lg customer care which they are selling at higher prices compared to what I get from other retailer shops. Till date there is no proper response or updates on the complaint. Each and everytime a new number is provided to be called but the person never picks up the phone. This is really disappointing and frustrating. Now I don't believe in lg TVs anymore as they can't even promise service for 5 years that really makes me question the credibility of the company. Even today I have to call these so called customer care executives daily to know the status, but these is never a proper update. This is really frustrating, now I will always be afraid about choosing or suggesting a LG product in the future. Looking forward for a positive reply on this issue.

LG Electronics dvd home theater

I have had to contact LG 4 times and a call to their third party repair center. The LG responses indicate they do not want to understand. The only repair facility provided to me is not conveniently located and only open M-F 9 to 5 when I am at work. I called repair center and they advised that the likely solution to my sound problem is to replace the mainboard for a cost up to $200. I checked out my sound problem with this unit on the web and it is a common problem, therefore LG must be aware of the defect. My LG unit began having intermittent sound problems when it was 3 to 4 years old which has now increased to the point it is unusable. I am surprised that it would fail so soon. I have owned many electronics from other manufacturers in the last 20 years and none have failed like this in such a short time with limited use (I used it maybe once or twice a week). This is the first LG item I have ever owned. I was wondering if LG could offer a goodwill gesture by providing a meaningful rebate towards a new and improved home theater? I received no reply from LG so I amt hinking of buying a replacement from another manufacturer and staying away from all LG products and their poor customer service.

LG Electronics 6.1 cu. ft. capacity gas double oven range with infrared grill and easyclean™ ldg3017st stainless steel

I purchased this range in 2013. The Gas Range Knobs melted after I used the self-cleaning feature. About 8 months later, I cleaned the oven again and the outside of the oven got so hot that I burned myself - hence, the melted knobs. I complained on LG's "Review of Products" but my complaint was not posted. Now I see that the range has been discontinued. Has LG discontinued selling this range because of the burn potential? Has there been other complaints about consumers being burned?

LG Electronics lds5811st dishwasher

I would like to say that this has been a great dishwasher. After ten years, I know that's a long time, but for $749.00 ten years ago I have been blindly if not silently disappointed. In the first year nearly every piece of plastic in the racks was broken from being cooked to death. All the little things that hold the racks to make them adjustable are worthless. Five years in, I replaced the pump in the bottom of the unit. It was not difficult for me as I am a pretty good handyman, and have been for many years. This past few months have been wrought with frustration. Eight weeks ago I replaced the pump again. Purchased from Sears Parts for $149.99 which was an internet price match. I really like Sears for many reasons although I don't believe I give them enough of my business. After installing the pump, everything was great for three wash cycles and then I developed a leak in the door on the left side. Although it leaked just a few tablespoons of water, I ordered a new seal and installed it. Then I had a similar leak on the right side of the door. I reset the seal and tried another wash cycle. This time I got the IE error meaning there is a water issue. The unit drained, but only pumped water in for 30 seconds and gave me the error. I leveled again, checked and replaced the water line, Removed the side panel and cleaned the floats, replaced the flow pump and still get the same error. I have now given up, I've been beaten by LG. I've called the help line and they have been extremely helpful referring me to a technician that will come out for a minimum of about $250 to do something I should be able to do. No help just referrals. Not to be beaten by the dishwasher, at the same time, the plastic hose on our LG LRSC26922TT refrigerator water dispenser cracked and leaked a lot of water on the floor. Luckily I noticed it quickly and turned off the water. This line comes under the refer and into the door hinge up through the door and out to the dispenser through a black rubber tube. I have been through the same gauntlet as the dishwasher with 'customer care' and would like to thank them again for NOTHING. Everything I've read tells me to replace the door! Can you believe that! It's over $300.00, if I can get one! To summarize, I also have an LG washing machine that is working fine, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed every time I walk past the laundry room. I would like LG to know that I have been a fan for many years and 'was' proud to own the product because I like the style. I will NEVER buy another LG product for as long as I live. I will persuade as many people away from them unless they agree that they are willing to replace many cheap parts along the way until they have to throw their money on the sidewalk with the units they eventually have to send to a landfill. Again, costing me money to throw this junk away. I know I sound like a disgruntled consumer that thinks things should last for ever. But I've spent almost $3, 000.00 on these two appliances and will now spend more to replace them. (I've kept the water turned off on the refer and go to the store and buy a bag of ice each week to fill the ice dispenser.) The dishwasher has to be replaced or I'll be looking for a warm bed after Thanksgiving dinner. Do I think $300.00 a year, over ten years is unreasonable? I DO!

I purchased a LG dishwasher and have had nothing but problems with it, the drain pump has had to be replaced several times as well as the motor. Since Oct 17/14 I have had 4 different technicians over my place and the drain pump was replaced on 2 occasions and the third time I just refused to have it replaced yet another time. Furthermore the technician that came told me the dishwasher is well known for having such problems and that he would be requesting a replacement... Surprise surprise LF has denied the request stating they are waiting to receive reports from the warranty company, who tells me LG is the one that has all the service report copies.. I have been back and forth on the phone with Comerco (warranty company) and LG and to no avail. Today the Customer service coach or supervisor refused to take my call, and the rep refused to give me his name. I have spent hours trying to get an answer and my machine has not been working since Aug 11... I am so fed up and I will never buy another LG product, as well will be reporting them to BBB.

LG Electronics refrigerator

Hi, I had purchased this fridge three months back and there has been moisture droplets which has been formed between the top freezer door and bottom door. I don't open the fridge door frequently as well. Technician had re-fixed the door but the issue is still persistent. Vegetables are getting spoilt due to moisture droplets which are formed. I'm very dissatisfied by the way the customer service as they haven't addressed my issue and I have to keep making repeated follow ups. Technicians are not competent. I have been using LG for the past years and decided to purchase this fridge just because of good service and quality of LG, however i'm very unhappy with my purchase after seeing the poor service from LG. I had to scour blogs to find out that the issue I found with a brand new phone bought days ago is widespread among LG G4 owners in the US and Asia. LG Electronics repair policy

I am writing about a recent experience I've had with LG products. We own many LG products and recently our LG dryer of five years needed servicing. To my dismay when I called around I was told by most repair places that they could not work on it. Seeing a we needed our dryer ASAP we finally convinced someone to come out. Luckily, it was a minor issue and he was able to fix it. He informed us that he cannot get parts for LG, so he would be unable to help us if he needed a part. I find that ridiculous. I was told that I needed and LG technician and the price starts at around $260 for a home visit. In my opinion that is exorbitant, unfair and limits my choice as a consumer. Had I known this when I was looking for appliances I would have definitely not purchased LG. I buy more expensive and complex machinery e.g. SUV and I service where it I want when it's out of warranty. I am also not forced to buy aftermarket parts from one supplier. I spoke to colleagues who were unaware of your policies and the concurred that they would avoid purchasing products with such archaic rules. We live in a global economy, but your policy does not reflect that. Why can I get LG parts in the U.S., but not Canada? This is bad PR all around and I'm sure it will affect your sales as word spreads. I for one will need a new washer shortly and I plan on buying from a company with more flexibility.

LG Electronics refrigerator french door #lfx25978 ss2186

Tremendous chemical smell coming from upper part of refrigerator. It has permeated all food. Water also has the same taste. This is not a mold odor, or rotten food smell. If I had to guess, I would say it is the Freon or a break down of plastic. Help! If I'm not here next year, please call my attorney.

LG Electronics refrigerator seal/poor customer service

Goodness, where to begin. Even though our issues started three weeks ago, we worked through your LG online customer service Live Chat and used one of the three LG authorized service company's recommended for our area. New Life Appliance in Laguna Niguel. After three weeks of VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THEM, they came back to us saying our fridge was not repairable and that they would work with LG to get a replacement fridge out ASAP. The seal systems were shot and even if LG repaired them they would break again in a year (if they lasted that long). Well, that never happened because the next day the LG refereed service center said they were not able to deal with the warranty department although they have been complaining to LG for months about the issue. New Life Appliance told us we need to contact a new service center to come out and start the whole process over again. Ok, I contacted LG live chat again, very frustrated.After a 30 minute live chat with LG last night, they promised a factory tech would be to our place this morning 10/06/2015 between 8-12 and that we were first on the priority list (here is our reference number RNM151005016243). I also have all of that documented in the Live chat that I saved. . BY 1230 this morning and no call or email -- we were pretty perturbed. THis time, my husband called the 800 number to talk to someone regarding our experience and to find out when a tech would be arriving. He was then told that our appointment was bumped to 3-5 pm because they were busy. So, we took the morning off thinking we were first in line and then get no showed and then find out we need to continue to wait until 5 pm. No call, no email, no nothing. On that phone call, my husband asked to speak to a manager. He explained what New LIife Appliance had said and asked the manager if they could contact New Life Appliance and work through the warranty with them, since LG told us to use them. The manager gave an emphatic "NO". She told my husband, that is not how it works and that a we either wait again until 5 pm or schedule for another day. Ok, Yes, we are getting very upset by this point. MY husband asked her, what about the fact New Life said the fridge needed to be completely replaced? Her response was under no circumstances will replace a unit, parts will be supplied and that is it. Even though the seal system is a warrantied item and New Life said the machine was not repairable and it needed to be replaced. Our model # is LFX33975ST our serial number is 304KRMK1X803. We purchased our fridge on 06/24/2013. Two years ago. We have lost over $500 of food. So, we are now waiting for the 3-5 pm factory tech to arrive and see where we go from there. It is 4:00 and still no tech so we don't know if we should hold our breathe or not. We have missed an entire day of work because of this and still no fridge. Been without it since 09/17/2015. LG Electronics lg-47ln5400-ua

The TV is powered on; the red standby light goes off, the backlight comes on for a split second and goes out. I can see a very light picture. I can see the menu with a flashlight. When the TV is powered off the backlight comes on for a split second.e seen I have changed two of the boards and did not resolve the issue. Only thing left is the LCD panel and I can buy a new TV for the same cost. I purchased this TV new 18 months ago. Where is consumer protection! I have seen many complaints for the same issue.

LG Electronics washing machine

Bought one front loading LG F8068NDP front loading fully automatic washing machine and this year itself three times the switch board became unserviceable and every time I had to spend Rs2500 to get it rectified. Even after calling LG Customer Service for more than 15 times and waiting even now after 10 days NO RESPONSE and seems that they are vehemently fooling me every time I call. No access to any of their superiors and even no response on line. Most disappointed. Never again will I buy or recommend LG products. Truly R B S Mony

LG Electronics double oven range

I bought an LG double oven in February. As soon as I tried to preheat the oven, the oven filled my house up with gas. After many unsuccessful attempts to have LG have someone come out to fix the oven under its warranty, LG finally scheduled a company to come out to fix the oven. After the company attempted to fix the oven four times, the oven still leaks so much gas when I attempt to preheat the oven that I can't use it. Even though the service company has told LG that the oven is defective and they won't come attempt to repair it anymore, LG refuses to replace the oven or refund me for the cost of the oven. I have been without an oven for seven months and am currently stuck with a $1, 500 defective oven. Thanks LG!

LG Electronics lfx28978st french door refrigerator

Purchased 2011 - Compressor failed in 2015. No LG service personal in this area Oxford NC. 10 Year parts warranty is useless no one can fix this under 10 year parts warranty. Forced to void warranty and replace compressor myself. LG will claim they have service companies but when called they either don't work on LG or my location is way out of the service area. It only took 11 calls to LG to get the 4 companies. These people make the IRS look good.
