LG Electronics fridge not cooling and service persons charging huge amount for repair

We bought lg side by side door fridge in May 2017. In oct 2018 cooling issue came and gas smell was coming, we called customer care and registered complaint then came service person charged 9500 saying coil has gone. Now again in dec 2018 again same gas leak, now they say compressor has gone and charge is 12000. Though we complain through customer care the complaint will not be registered they route to 3rd party persons.

LG Electronics still under warranty, but the authorized agent is not willing to repair

I bought LG refrigerator, Model : LT1472BBVI, Volume (Cft) 14.9622592 . ADC35086348 (PZ) (CT4) from Saudi Arabia and shipped it to Egypt. When I started using it, I heard repetitive noise of a whistle coming out of the refrigerator all the time. I contacted LG authorized agent in Egypt, but he said it is not under warranty because I did not buy it from Egypt.

LG Electronics refrigerator

I am so disappointed with LG, my refrigerator only lasted lessthan 2 months and the mainboard gave up already. Until now its been over a week and the service h hasnt updated us about the requested parts to be replaced. Please LG do something about this. Dont let your consumers down.
It is really hard for us to have no refrigerator in the house, especially me who loves to cook. The hardtime your product gave us makes us share our experience with LG to other possible consumers who will soon avoid buying your products. It is so frustrating that I had to save money to buy this refrigerator just to get broken in a matter of 1 month and a half. You need to do something to relieve our grudges and disappointments. Attend to all the request for new parts by your service center immediately so we can be of atleast satisfied with your attentiveness to us clients. Design your product where it could last longer and not easily be broken so consumers may purchase again for your company's benefit.

LG Electronics lg fridge

Whatever you do, do not buy an LG Fridge or for that matter anything from LG.

The service is beyond cruel, it's deceitful. We had a fridge/freezer that stopped working and contacted the service department. We wanted to try to get a quick repair as our food in the freezer was spoiling and we were also hosting our family for Christmas and needed a fridge. After our original call, when they told us it would take six days before someone could look at it, we decided to see if an LG certified independent contractor could fix it. This independent contractor showed up the next day, told us the problem but said that he didn't know when he could get the parts from LG. We went back to LG and they convinced us to buy their "out of warrantee service package". At that time we told them exactly what we knew needed to be fixed. Still we had to wait six days for a technician to show up. When he finally showed up, he looked at the fridge and told us what we already knew needing fixing. But that he didn't have the parts and was trained for that repair. We went back to LG and were told we had to wait another five days, Christmas Eve, for someone to show up. Of course by this time the food had all spoiled and we were unable to save any food in the meantime. When Christmas Eve came we called first thing in the morning to be told that the service appointment had been cancelled (they had not informed us of the cancellation). This was despite absolute guarantees they would have it fixed. They are now saying that they won't be able to have a technician come until January 3rd. More than three weeks since we first called them.

Save yourself, don't buy LG.

LG Electronics loud operation of the refrigerator

I bought a refrigerator LG GC-H702HLHU 3 month ago. The refrigerator make too much loud. I wanted to help from Turkey Izmır LG technical services. They said that, the loud is normal. But its too much for me and its too disturbing. I wanted to help second time from your technical service. Same technical service staff came again. I asked him to explain, what is the problem? In the refrigerator catalog; maximum 39 decibels is normal. But my refrigerator make 43 decibels sound.
After that i asked him to write a report but he wrote anything, shouted me and gone out. I called again and again customer represantative at the same time i wrote e-mail repeatedly. But i can not get any result. Because of that i'm writing this to you now.
The reason that i prefer LG, it is a World Brand company. I know that your motto is "Life Is Good". Unfortunely, it was not for me like that . If I choose your company more high price, you care about your customer's satisfaction.
My favor from you, my refrigerator troubleshooting.

LG Electronics clothes washing machine

I have bought new cloths washing machine, brand name is LG.
Every time I use the machine, I find a leakage (water with washing soap) is coming out from it during the washing steps...
I called the customer service center to send me a maintenance technician to find out what is the problem… different technicians visited me two times but in vain…and in the third visit, the technician told me that the problem is in the washing cabins…
An order was made by the company(LG) to change the washing cabins for my cloths washing machine for free (because I still have the grantee for my machine and the defect is classified as an industrial defect)..
But during change the defected washing cabins by the new one, the maintenance technician of the company (LG) found a corrosion in the outer and in the inner body of the machine (because of the delay in changing the defected washing cabins due to the wrong analysis of the first two visits of the maintenance technicians which led to that corrosion phenomenon to my machine).
The LG company has offered to change (only) the outer body of the machine for free (because I still have the grantee for my machine and the defect is classified as an industrial defect), and it did...
But the company refused to change the inner corroded body (it offered a treatment for the corrosion of the inner body, for free).

My complaint is that:
It is my right to change the inner corroded body by LG Company for my cloths washing machine for free because I still have the grantee for my machine and the defect is classified as an industrial defect, as done for the outer corroded body.

The TV failed after 2.5 years of use. As far as I can understand, the problems with the backlight of the display. All this time hung on the wall, was not subjected to any influences, the rules of operation were not violated. It seems to me that this is clearly a factory marriage. Your service center asked me for 25% of the cost of the TV for eliminating this malfunction, which is very expensive for me, so I wanted to ask if you don’t want to fix this problem in a cheaper way, because I don’t see my fault in the failure of the equipment ?

LG Electronics side by side refrigerator

Complaint number : RNP [protected] (Mr. Nitin Garg)
Registered the complaint on 25th October 2018.
Mr. Rajkumar and Mr. Bala had sent their technicians (after many follow ups) to check the fridge. The technicians had spent 16-20 hours in 4-5 sittings in Nov trying to repair it. Despite of our telling them that it could be a manufacturing fault they kept sending local repair people and wasted a lot of time.
After LG technician Mr. Aslam declared that fridge is beyond repair the process of replacement started. We chose the model B247SLUV steel colour immediately so that the fridge can be replaced this was end of November.
Due to the carelessness of Mr. Rajkumar a wrong model was initiated for replacement and now he is going on saying that the correct model is unavailable.
Our current fridge was close to Rs.100000 and the model which we chose is much lesser but still we paid an additional amount of Rs.8040 in LG account on 6th December 2018
Since the model which we have chosen is a new model and is available in most of the showrooms in Bangalore the delivery can be arranged by requesting any of your dealer.
According to Mr. Rajkumar this fridge is not available at the moment and it can take more than a fortnight. Yesterday I spoke to Mr. Baldev and he said that he had the stock of the model which could have got delivered but but due to the goof up of Mr. Rajkumar it could not get delivered.

You are requested to take an action on this complaint immediately as it's a serious issue and you can imagine being without a refrigerator can be a harrowing experience and we have been going through it from the last 2 months due to the careless attitude of your department. It's a simple replacement issue which they have not been able to follow despite of our selecting the model and making the payment immediately as soon as the approval from LG headoffice came.

Issues:
1) Delay in taking action on our complaint
2) Careless attitude of Mr. Rajkumar
3) Messing up the order of the replacement by Mr. Rajkumar
4) Not picking up calls and saying "Busy in meeting"
5) Just wasting 2 months in saying "Our team is following up" and still the issue not resolved and they do not know when it will get resolved.

LG Electronics poor services

Summary:

Bought a LG 75" TV from COSTCO on July 05th, 2018. After only 4-month of use, the TV broke on Nov 06th, 2018. It has been 6 weeks since and I still waiting for the Technician to come out and fix the TV.

Details:
--------
11/06/2018:
* My husband contacted LG for warranty repair on my LG 75" TV (purchase date: 7/05/2018, two-year warranty). The customer service rep created Case# [protected] and pointed John O. (Technician) to our case and instructed us to wait for his phone call.
1-week later on 11/13/2018:
* Technician contacted my husband and instructed him on the phone to go through troubleshooting process. After ~30mins, he said he know what the problem was and he will order the parts to fix it.
11/19/2018:
* TV Parts arrived at my house. With multiples unsuccessful phone calls attempted and finally the next day, my husband was able to contact the Technician to let him know that the parts have arrived. He told my husband that he won't be able to come out to our house until Nov 26th.
11/26/2018:
* The Technician didn't show up and my husband couldn't contact him at all. The next day, he called back and told my husband that he was busy and he would like to reschedule until Nov 27th.
11/27/2018:
* The Technician came out to look at the TV. He told us that he won't be able to fix the TV until he opens the Ticket with Tech Support. Then, he was on the phone with them for ~1 hour. After back-and-forth conversations between them, the Tech Support advised him that he won't be able to fix the TV because the LED panel is broken. So, he told us that he will have to place an order for all the parts and will come back once the parts arrived.
12/04/2018:
* FedEx representative contacted my husband to schedule a delivery time for the LED panel due to freight item. We want the TV to be fixed as soon as possible so we've scheduled the time to pick the item up ourselves at FedEx Hub on the same day. Then, my husband was able to contact the Tech and scheduled an appointment with him on Dec 06th. This is the only day that the Tech is available so my husband ended up take a day off from work just to accommodate.
12/06/2018:
* No show again so, my husband called Customer service just to find out that the Technician was out sick and will be taken off the rest of the week. So, he requested to have another Tech but the customer service rep told him that no one is available.
* I called Customer Service back and requested to have another Tech to assign to our case. The rep (Jay) then told me that he has to contact the Technician to close out the ticket first, then it can be assigned to a new Technician. After on-hold for ~30mins, he came back and told me that there is no point get another Tech since one TV's part that we need is currently on back-order and won't be available until mid-Jan, 2019 for the TV to get fix. So, I told him that I would like to speak with his supervisor to escalate this further. After another 30mins on-hold, I was able to speak with the supervisor and then he told me to submit the receipt for them to review the case to see if we are qualified for a full refund or a new TV.
* My husband submitted the receipt at 2pm on the same day. Then, I called customer service back to see if they have received it. The rep told me that they have the receipt and proceed forward to the Processing Department which will take 5-7 business days.
12/10/2018:
* I called Customer service to see what is the status on the case. Luckily, I did because the rep told me then that I need to submit a more detail receipt. So, I asked her why they didn't tell me this last week when I submitted the receipt. She gave me no explanation.
* My husband requested a detail receipt from Costco and submitted on the same day.
12/12/2018:
* The Technician (John O.) contacted my husband and wanted to schedule an appointment to come out and fix the TV. According to him that we should have received all the TV parts. However, the last part we received which was the LED panel that we've picked up from FedEx Hub on Nov 04th. NO NEW PART was sent to our house.
* I called Customer service to ask what was the mix up and if what the Tech told us is true then the representatives have been lying to us all these times since they told us:
1. No Tech is available
2. Can't assign another Tech
3. TV part is on back-order
4. Submit receipt for an approval to be refunded
So, the rep could not explain it to me and so, I requested to talk to an Executive Service Rep. After 30mins on-hold, an Executive Service rep then told me that based on LG online update, we should have received all the parts and she went on to tell me that my request for refund or new TV will be denied. She advised us that we should wait for the Tech to come out and fix the TV and that is our only option at this point. They offer me no other option but to wait whenever the Tech is available. This is NOT GUARANTEE that the Tech will be able to fix the TV.
Now, here is the problem. We spent a lot of money of this TV and it is still under warranty since we just have it for 4-month. On top of that, we have been paying for cable TV more than a month without a TV. Moreover, it is very difficult to have all the TV (breakable) parts in the house with two young kids. We have no room to keep it and it is currently sitting in our Family Room which is the only room is big enough for our kids to play. Also, we plan to have a Christmas party at our house and currently no TV and no space to host the party.
LG is a big company and they should be responsible for their faulty products and their words under warranty and care more for the customers. We have continued to be patient with their process and they are still tagging us around with no concrete resolution in sight.

Consumer's Desired Resolution:

We would like to get a replacement LG 75" TV or just give us back the refund so we can get a new TV to use. We have already suffered for over a month without a TV and no place for the kids to play.

LG Electronics lg company in lebanon refusing to fix my tv

To whom it may concern,

I am a loyal LG customer, My Smart TV 55 inch model 55LF630T-TA seriel no 502KCFT7Q043 was hit by a strike because of the weather and it affected the board of the Tv, I approached the LG company in Lebanon they told me that they will sell me the board but will not fix my Tv and it needs a reset as well, I am very disappointed I do not know what to do with my expensive Tv. Friends telling me to go for Samsung because the same thing happened to them with LG services in Lebanon .

purchased 11-17, compressor failed 4-18 from this date till I replaced it on 8-10-18.
8 service persons, the compressor was service once and was placed 3times .
the last time it had a bad burnt smell it need to go.july 2018 was ahot month . due to my health issues some of my med needed to be refriz and a special diet I need ed a refrigerator hope there is on need to have seoul in on this. I have other data

LG Electronics lmxc23746s refrigerator

I purchased this refrigerator on March 3, 2015. In November 2018 both the ice dispenser and the water dispenser stopped working. I live in Santa Fe NM and there are no LG service people. I have called LG now about 10 times to get some sort of support and have gotten zero. Basically they have told me I am on my own because it is no under warranty. I requested getting some instructions so a local appliance repair person can work on it. They refused to supply any instructions and this refrigerator is very complicated to work on. I have called many service people within a 100 mile radius and the people who had worked on LG stopped because they were not getting the support they needed from the company. We replaced both dispenser boards and that did not fix the issue. I hired a plumber to get the water pressure checked and it's not the water pressure. I changed the water filter in spite of the one that was installed was only three months old. We checked all the connections.

I now know from reading different sites how poor or nonexistent service is from LG. I am meeting with a class action attorney to see what it would take to file a class action lawsuit against LG. I am now stuck with a three year old refrigerator that does not work. It seems many people with different LG products that are new are stuck with defective products that LG will not fix and will not support at all if they are no longer within the one year warranty.

LG Electronics lg front load washing machine

The washing machine has had problems ever since we purchased from lowes, april, 2018. Repairmen have attempted to fix 4 different times even to point of replacing the springs, ***it did not repair anything! professional appliance attempted to repair? nothing, problem still exist. It knocks and rocks violently it has been said the balance ring, ? springs? improper clothing in tub, so ridiculous.

LG Electronics smart phone lg3 brought about two years ago stopped recognizing sim.

Have bought lg3 spartphone about two years ago at 'home center' - one of the biggest retail stores in my country israel.
The phone stoped to function after a year and a half. It was repaired at station service in israel according to guarantee. Six month later it stoped recognising the sim. It operated only with wi-fi. I contact again the repair station but it went bunkcruptcy. I ctc the retail store but they do not sell smart phones any more and since it ismore then two years, there is no guarantee and they can't help. I cocntacted the labe of the official importer lg smartphones to israel. They claim they do not repaire phones not purchased through their store. So i'm stuck with almost new phone which costed me about usd 400.- and no place to repair it. Private repairing labs i tried to fix it do not want to deal with it. What do i do now ?

LG Electronics washing machine/ delay in delivery and communication regarding maintenance

My 3 year old washing machine has some issue since September 2018. I contacted Customer Service and was informed they will be ordering a spare part from somewhere and to date it has not arrived. Recently, I get a confirmation that LG technician will be coming in by so and so date -no call to inform, no technician showed up and the worst, the spare part hasn't arrived. I question what they expect us to do. Wait for the spare part or dump the machine and buy a non-LG because for sure I dont intend to have this experience again.

People that have visited and heard the LG washer react violently while washing have said How Sad it that LG cant repair their equipment. I HAVE NEVER HEARD A WASHING MACHINE ROCK AND KNOCK SO VIOLENTLY) No help and LG will Not just replace and realize it is defective>>>># We HATE this Washing Machine.

My Wife is so upset with this expensive front Load Washing machine, it rocks and knocks violently and NO ONE SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO REPAIR. We have had LG repairmen out 4 times and no one can repair. They just give excused as to how its our problem.

My New LG Front load washing machine is the WORST washing machine we have ever purchased. Purchased from LOWES in April 2018 and have had four repairmen to attempt to fix, ATTEMPTED and never corrected the problem.
With almost every wash it Knocks and rocks violently and now the door appears to be coming loose. I just cant believe that no technician can correct the problem. I WOULD SAY I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER LG PRODUCT.

LG Electronics lg appliances/ washer, dryer, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, stove

My parents moved into a new home 4.5 years ago after loosing their previous home to a tornado. All of the appliances were LG. Over the past year we have had to replace everything except the stove. The stove is now not keeping its temperature and the surface is showing major ware. My parents are in their late 80's and cannot afford a new stove. I don't understand why all of these appliances have failed in such a short time and all just after the 4 year extended warranty ran out. Is this normal with LG? I'm wondering if they could get some kind of a coupon or discount to replace the stove. They have spent $6, 800 on appliances this year already & just don't have enough for a stove. They would have to cut back on medications & save for months in order to replace it.

Hi. So Im fro. iran and i have a problem with my LGV20 it NEEDS an update since de damn device is keep crashing apps and such and even after i took it for maintenance the ONLY hardrest my phone even thou i was evpecting a repair and/or replacement since tha waranty as not still void. Now you knlw the market here is full of samsung phones but your i took because of the better quality and service and i just got the quality right.
I am really tired of all the things o tryed to mame this phone funktion and o am UNIMAGINABLY unsatisfied with ylur companys responce to my problem. Rest assured i wont be discuraging anyone to buy your product but be sure that i WILL mention the unsatisfactory service. If your not like other money hungry companys out ther and if you have even ASINGLE SHRESD OF RESPECT for your customers and ME you WILL respond.

LG Electronics frig will not cool

I purchased a LG refrigerator in 2016. The product stop cooling 2 months ago. We called LG to arrange for a service tech to stop by and diagnose the problem. The employee stated the compressor had stop working and would need to be replaced. Yesterday the service mechanic installed a new compressor and the refrigerator still doesn't cool. LG is a very bad product and is not reliable. I paid over $3000 for this product. Never buy another LG product...

LG Electronics lg electronics (m) sdn bhd "lg malaysia" took 3 months to redeem a gift from 25-aug till now no news

Hi LG Malaysia,

I wish to lodge this official complaint against your bad marketing team in response to the gift redemption bad experience.

1. We have purchased a TV 55UK6300P at 25/8/2018 because you are offering sound bar during the merdeka sales.
2. After about 1 month waiting, we try to call to LG Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd to check on the status. We have been passing around to different department and it landed at the marketing department. Marketing department ask us to provide detail which till now 12-Nov (3 months after the purchased), we have no yet received the free soun dbar.

LG Electronics kenmore / lg refrigerator model number 795. 72059. 110

This refrigerators compressor failed. I lost all the food in the refrigerator and freezer. When I try to call Sears for service, they put me on a 5-week wait for an appointment. Who can do without a refrigerator for 5 weeks? The biggest issue I have is that these linear compressors LG used are a known issue. They fail miserably 50% of the time. Nobody else will work on them, and when I called LG, they referred me back to Sears. And Sears won't make the service a priority. The LG agent gave me a technicians number in my area, but when I called them, they said they will not come out and replace the compressor for the very reason that they are failing months after they replace them. So, what good is having an authorized LG technician when they won't work on the LG product because of its inferior nature. Shame on LG for manufacturing and installing a well-known defective product and not taking any measures to replace or repair these failing compressors. I spent over 3 hours on the phone with both LG and Sears and got nothing but the runaround. Nobody would address the seriousness of my problem. I have been without my refrigerator for over 2 weeks, and no normal human being can afford to be without it for another four or five weeks waiting for an appointment for service. I had a great deal of respect for LG before this, since I had several of their products and liked all of them. However, I am deeply disappointed and have lost total respect for LG because of their lack of customer service and support for their defective products. It's bad enough they make a product that they know fails, but it's even worse to know they don't back it up after it does fail. I feel as though they just want their product sold and out the door, and then the consumer can deal with the problems on their own. Very, very, very, disappointed.
What is really sad is that technicians, store sales people, and others all are aware of LG's Appliance issues, and cringe when they hear that you have an issue. They all are steering customers away from LG appliances. So your reputation is slowly deteriorating, and your company seems to not care or be interested in helping the consumer that spent good money buying their product. Again, shame on you!

I have tried unsuccessfully to have Lg, help me with a problem with my tv. After many RUDE-ARROGANT AND UNPROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENTS I finally stop calling! Lg believes that because they are out of the USA they are exempt from the BETTER BUSINESS BEREAU. I am filing a complaint with the BBB and will NOT give up until I get an appropriate respond from LG. This product is defective and no one should be selling defective products to the American people.(we have laws against this!) So, unless I get a call from an American customer service agent- the battle continues!
