LG / 65” lg tv

I purchased this 65” TV for my husband for his birthday 2 year's ago from a friend's recommendation. Presently, there are two lines that are coming across the screen. I am truly devastated because I paid $1200 for this set and I purchased it from Target and they stated there is nothing they can do because I didn't purchase the extended warranty. Is there something you the manufacture can do to help me? I don't have another $1200 to purchase a new set. Anything you can do to assist will be greatly appreciated.
