Lexmark International would not exchange

I had picked up the incorrect printer cartridge for my 1400 series lexmark I did not realize it until I put in the computer and it was not compatable I had picked up for the 2400 instead when I took in to exchange I was advised they would not exchange or refund because the strip was gone but it was in the box but because it was not on the cartridge they would not I have been dealing with wal mart for about 20 years and i do not understand why they would not exc hange that was $21.00 down the drain and I can not use the cartridge they kept the cartridge one in del city off 15th and sooner

Lexmark International Scam and cheating

Every time I try to print something it wants a cartridge alignment, even though I already did it. Lexmark tech/customer non-support will never talk to me or email me after repeated attempts to contact them.

i waited and waited for help from lexmark. got hung up. tney never called back. i looked and looked and contacted a person higher up and got immediate help...mirre@lexmark>com

Not happy with Lexmark

I had the same problem. It wouldn't print a document until I printed and scanned the alignment page. Then, there was a problem with the scanned result and it made me do it again...and again...and again. After a frustrating call to tech support, the printer is going in the garbage... I'll buy something else. They should allow you to print a document without going through the alignment routine. I guess their system simply isn't that smart.

Lexmark International Printer not printing

Well here goes the 4th time I am trying to get some help about the situation I am having and no one seems to get back to me. The Walmart here, the employees are the rudest I have ever met. The people greeters are the friendliest ones in this store in Pueblo West. The complaint I have is that I had gone to Walmart to return my printer because it wasn't printing. I went to the customer service desk and told the gal that the printer wasn't printing. She said ok go back and find another one like it because we can't give you any money. So, my daughter and I went back there and couldn't find one. So I found one about $10.00 more and I bring it up to the front and she said I couldn't get that one. So, she asked a co-worker to go and check for one. He called and she walks up to him and she comes back and says I need a receipt and she couldn't do anything else. She was very very rude. The guy was going to give me another and she came right out and said no. What kind of policy do you have? She could have been a lot nicer. I don't try to take anyone for granted or think I am better than anyone. She was not a manager either. I would appreciate it if you could help me out.

Stay away from Lexmark products. We purchased a Lexmark printer six months ago and it was a huge mistake. It's the X2650 All-In-One Printer/Scanner and it was a bargain at around $30. And that's where your financial savings end. Unfortunately, I didn't do my research before the purchase. This eats ink (and this is common with ALL of there printers when you read online) and the cartridges are in the $25 range. I mostly print black and white address labels and a cartridge prints about 60 which means I am paying 50 cents each AND supplying the paper. I have made a less than TEN color copies and I have received warnings for a month that my color cartridge is out of ink. This is there schtick and the cartridges are not refillable. The scanner is AWFUL. It works only on flat items and anything slightly dimensional is not an option. I will NEVER buy any Lexmark product again. This is landfill material. ...Going back to HP as soon as I run out of black ink in a few days. Caveat Emptor.

You paid 30 dollars for a printer and expected to what pay 2 dollars for an ink cartridge? Lexmark has an outstanding printer on sale for 199.99. The black ink cartridges are only 4.99 for 510 pages, less then a penny a page. It also comes with a five year warranty. Just because you are too stupid to do your own research don't blame the company.

Lexmark International Bad printers

Lexmark x3470 - this printer is absolute garbage, DO NOT BUY...I bought one and had to replace the ink and then it said cover open when it was not. After trying to fix this for an hour or so I gave up and called Lexmark. They eventually sent me another one which I avoided using for a while and now I have had to use it. It ran out of ink, I put in more ink, and what do you know same exact thing. Don't buy these printers they're the same quality as the toys you get in quarter machines.

LEXMAR PRINTER, WITH NO T650n, not working properly. Technician opinion is problem with IC. Since you have provdied to receive the free service till one year of the purchase of the same. We have purchased it on 31-03-2010. Invoice No. [protected] The IC Should be replaced. Please do the needful, as early as possible.

When upgrading to Windows7 or Vista, my Lexmark X65n printer has no available driver, and none is forthcoming from Lexmark. This printer is less than three years old and is not heavily used. This degree of obsolescence is simply too much. They advertise an upgrade on the printer driver site!

I have had 2 Lexmark Printers, both a Pro800 and a replacement Pro901. I have always had excellent technical assistance when ever I had a problem. Problems were always resolved. However, In January, I experienced printing problems on a journal I was printing. It seems that if the photo had while clouds in the background, the printer spewed black ink over that area. I phoned the tech and he could not figure out the problem. We did a deep cleaning of the print head but that did on fix it. After considerable time on the phone, it was suggested that I mail a print out of the photo so that they could look at it. Of course, I could not find any information as to where to mail it. I mailed to the corporate office in Lexington c/o Customer Service and request that they forward it to the Technical Department. That was on February 14, 2015. As of this date, I have not had the courtesy of a response. I called their tech department today and nothing was entered into their computer referencing this letter. Thankfully, I have a backup printer, which saved the day. Another thing, my Office Max store no longer stocks Lexmark Ink Cartridges,

I have two Lexmark printers a P205 and an S305. Yes, they were inexpensive. Yes they print great WHEN THEY WORK. Both are junk. I will say that Lexmark does have good customer service, but that just doesn't cut it when you're under a deadline to print a project. Both machines have been replaced twice and both machines have also had the print-heads replaced. Thank goodness both came with 3 and 5 year warranties respectively. I would think IBM would be capable of making a better machine. The Lexmark has been very frustrating.

Lexmark International Poor quality, lack of customer service, unfair business practices, consumer fraud

I purchased a lexmark all - in - one printer/fax/scanner/ copier from the local Sam's club as a birthday present for my wife.

It would not print in black from the first day I bought it.We tried for 1 1/2 years to have lexmark help us there were 67 documented calls to them mostly to their tech people. they gave us many different things to try to do to get it operating properly. nothing helped.

We threatened legal action and were give what was supposed to be the legal departments phone number. We called the number only to find out it was the phone number of another customer that had been going through the same types of things as we !

After this We demanded that they replace the machine. We were told that the warranty for this had expired after 1 year. I threatened legal action as we had given them the opportunity to help and fix the problem since day one and they could and did not.

They reluctantly agreed to a replacement and informed us to expect it within 5 - 7 business days. On the 5th business day when it did not show up We called. We were told that the order for replacement was cancelled. They could not tell us who or why and told us they would re - order and ship.

We received the replacement and it worked for a few days.Soon it did not print right. We made more calls and were told that we were probably out of ink. We demanded that they send us more after they explained that they sold inf cartridges that were partically filled. When questioned how the consumers were supposed to know this since the packaging did not refer to it, they said the packaging did and after they researched it they would get back to us.

The printer now started to self - destruct. it would not print at all - it was with us now for less than 1 week !

My wife got on the online tech site and chatted with 4 different tech people for over 4 hours. the end result was she was told that the printer would cost more to repair than for us to purchase a new one and they proceeded to tell her about a few site that we could purchase one at a reduced price. My wife explained that we had not had the printer for 1 week yet and they all chat help stopped !

Lexmark has not done anything to try to fix the situation except offer us a refund of the cost of the printer only after we sign a release. The release contains many illegal provisions in it. The Better Business Bureau in Kentucky got a copy and were amazed at what it contained. They then said due to this release and what it contained that they would mark the complaint we made with them as not being satisfactorily settled.

Lexmark sent me the wrong cartridge then wanted me to pay the shipping to send it back because I'd opened it. I emailed them, because it's hard to find a phone number for a "higher up", and explained everything to them, but all they did was keep sending me the same old form email without ever really acknowledging or solving my problem. These people are the worst. Lexmark does not give a hoot about its customers and I would never do business with them again if they were the only printer manufacturers in the world. IBM makes Lexmark.

Lexmark International Scam alert!

SCAM ALERT... SCAM ALERT... SCAM ALERT... SCAM ALERT...

LEXMARK products for home pc use. Yeah, they seem cheap and inexpensive. But they are a con-job right out of the box. Even after thousands of hours on the phone and online with service personnel trying to troubleshoot the problem.

Then when it came time to just talk refund. Well, I'd messed around back and forth over the phone and email with cust. serv. technicians that the little 30 day warranty had run out. The only option was one that would cost twice as much as the original purchase price for parts and shipping back to 'ozark country'. With no certainty that it would work even after that.

The box usually says:ALL-IN-ONE printer,copier,fax,scanner. They are a piece-O-junk and don't do anything as advertised. The only things it does well is blur copies, ruin paper, waste ink, and electricity. I think it's environmentally irresponsible of the company to waste all the material, and resources needed to even produce this lump of plastic.

If you are in the market for a home printing device and see a LEXMARK product on the shelf at your local electronics store. I think you'd be better off keeping your money safely secured in your pocket.

I am in the process of trying to work with them now. No matter what I try they say try it again. Finally I told them just to send me a replacement. They will not respond. I am furious!
