Lexisnexis - Hse Direct Online / Renewal penalty
All those looking into paying through their nose for inadequate website news information from Lexis Nexis should take note that even if you think you are only paying for a year's subscription, you are actually signed up to an automatic renewal and you have to give 90 working days notice to cancel the subscription. The staff selling the online packages at Lexis Nexis DO NOT tell you this at the time and whereas you think you've only paid up for a year, they will STING you for another year as they only send the invoice out for the renewal year about 2 weeks before the subscription starts again. The service I purchased annual subscription for was the HSE Direct news and information service and for 2 months I had serious problems even logging on to the site as there were issues from their end. The service is seriously flawed, overpriced for what you get and especially as they very underhandedly set customers up on an automatic renewal even though at the time of signing up you may have specified just 1 year. They are sneaky and very underhanded about how they go about things. ALL SHOULD BE WARY OF LEXIS NEXIS services.
