The seller of an iPhone 8 plus claimed that the iPhone is unlocked and she sold it on us for $400 through LetGo. Soon after the deal we learned that she had already blocked us on the let go. Then we learned that the phone is under contract with sprint. We immediately contacted sprint customer service to learn more. Sprint told us that the iPhone is a delinquent phone under someone's name and they have not paid for the phone in full. Also, since the phone is under their account, they cannot unlock it for us. We also learned that the name she put on the letter she signed for us as a proof of sales does not match the account holder name. This makes it more likely that the phone could be a stolen one.

Hello. My name is Caitlin Conway and I work for the Richland County Sheriff's Department in Columbia, SC. We are investigating a fraudulent case. Our victim, Phillip Wilson, was communicating with a "Marcus Taylor(e)" on Letgo. Marcus was advertising an iPhone 7 with a case for $85 and then our victim made contact and traded the $85 for the iPhone. After the trade he, Mr. Wilson, realized it was an iPod touch that Marcus gave him instead of the iPhone. By the time the victim noticed, Marcus was already leaving. After that, Marcus blocked our victim on Letgo and they have no communication. We have screenshots of the messages between our victim, Phillip Wilson, and the suspect, Marcus Taylor. I will attach these conversations. With all of that, I was looking to see if we would be able to get any information about this Marcus Taylor(e) so that we may prosecute? Thank you for your time.

I am selling a gown on Let go and was contacted by a person who's profile name was Gary @ 2am. He sent me two messages via Let go and stated he was interested in purchasing the gown. He asked for my phone number so I sent him my cell number. This was March 3, 2018 @ 2am. After I sent the cell number he didn't contact me again. Later that day his account said "account pending moderation." I received two text messages today (3/6/2018) 2:20am on my cell from a "Jason" claiming to be from Let Go stating he was interested in this same gown. The number the messages were sent from is (914-365-8608) I never corresponded with a Jason on let go and never provided my cell number. Later that morning @ 6am I received another message on my cell from "Jason" again with the exact same message but this time the text came from cell # (306-993-6635) I didn't reply back to any of the messages. I believe this "Jason" to be the same person who went by the profile name "Gary." Ladies, please beware of these "scammers" and "catfishers" DO NOT meet up alone or in you home or property. Agree to meet at a when lit public place and be very attentive of your surroundings!

Suspicious link, user demands for money via 'eBay' for transactions, refuses to allow one to check the car in the first place.
Places that she's in San Jose, but in actual fact "she" isn't when she tries to sell you the car.
Deal is probably too good to be true and has all the signs of using a "typical" scam you deals.

Somehow LetGo has the lack of "report suspicious item" button; so this will do.

Why is a phone number of the seller not allowed in the ads. I have only been contacted one time since I started using this site. This site is a waste of time for a real buyer like me. If phone numbers are not allowed to be placed in the ads, this site is a waste of our time and I will stay with craigslist where I can talk to a seller when I find something

A few months back i noticed a stihl leaf blower for sale on letgo that looked like my missing equipment, but the picture was poor quality. I contacted the seller and asked for some more pictures of the unit. Weeks went by with nothing. Then i get a response finally from a different number with more poor quality pictures. Except the pictures now are of an older more used piece of equipment. And when i checked his add on letgo it shows as sold. But he reassured me this was the same unit when it clearly wasn't. Something very odd about this sellers actions which came across as suspicious. I asked for a serial number to cross reference the year of manufacture and that where the communication ends. Not willing to share this information leads me to believe its stolen. And also looking at his account you could think hes a hoarder but his actions makes me think hes a thief. I was going to meet the seller but i notice and OD kit and meeting shady people can be extremely dangerous. Its a shame that the only way to get law enforcement to take action is with 100% proof its the item in question. But you think by the way he acts that they'd want to look into him. His account has collectables coins and cards, tires, rims, computers, sound equipment and the list goes on.

I received a message from "chris", to buy my computer speakers, he wanted to meet up to buy them.I messaged him back that I could meet him at my friends store. I then get a message that he was chris's dad, that blocked me and was reporting me .. something about words to his son... he obviously has me mistaken for someone else, never ever had issues with anyone on let go.. how do I investigate this?

I received a message about a item i have posted then whoever this person goes on to harrass me. I am assured this person is youbg, fake, juvenile or just weird but the whole conversation made me feel uncomfortable an that account needs to be removed asap. I have pictures of the whole conversation and will gladly share with you. Thanks in advance for your help

I saw Alisha curry's post on an iphone 7+ for $275 I asked her if she would do $200 she said yes and I gave her all the information she needed to send me the phone. She told me she wanted it from walmart to walmart so my mom did it and she already didn't want to but she did it anyway. Alisha curry has had my mone for about a week or two and the phone has never got here. We believe she scammed us and she flagged my original account so I can't log back in. So I created a fake account and I asked if the phone was available after I done bought it she said yes I do have her husbands first and last name he was the one who picked the money up. I messaged a seller, that went by Beverly m. But soon changed it to Marybeth. About buying wheels she had for sale. They were advertised clearly as bmw wheels with a specific lug pattern to fit my car, and I asked her again when I got to her house to purchase them. She guaranteed they would fit. And now I went to put them on at home and they are the wrong size. I messaged her back politely and just asked if we can make this fair for us both, offered for her to keep 20 dollars just so that I can have the money back to buy the right size wheel as I do not have wheels now. I would like to receive my money back as she clearly false advertised. There was no possible way for me to check the size without putting them on my car which is immobile.

Hello, I've already reported a User named Joe who supposedly sells cars. User needs to be taken off letgo and go on tinder if he is looking for a date, his inappropriate messages made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe, I don't want any other women to be messaged by this perverted person. Mr.Joe's account might be as fake as the picture he has on his profile, really doesn't matter I am a new user with letgo and people like myself are actually trying to sell, I've changed my profile picture which I shouldn't have but I did it because I now feel uncomfortable and unsafe. I took screenshots of the conversation I had with mr.joe and my husband also messaged him within the same messages to see if mr.joe can understand that I am only trying to sell, instead ended up calling me a lesbian? . Please update me on the action you will be taking against this user, here are some pictures!

I was meeting a lady for a vape and she sent her boyfriend to meet me the product was in worse condition then she explained well when I told her boyfriend that I didn't want the product he ran to my car door tried to grab the handle to open the door thank God it was locked he started beating on my car saying I needed to give him the money before he set my car on fire. I called the lady who I was supposed to meet she agreed to sell me a different vape and that she could meet me after school, me and my son waitied on her for over 2 hours when I called she said that she was stuck in school/college that she would be running a little bit late well long story short she never showed, stopped answering calls, forward all calls to voicemail which it was full and ignored all text. I drove home and tried to call her on the way back she said that's what I deserved for not getting the first one from her boyfriend and that she was going to set my house on fire with my family in it.

She then posted it on her letgo site for double.
I commented on this to her.
She called me names and threatened me by saying I know where you live.
She is from riverside.
I am sure she is doing business this.

-Items I sold at cheaper price to a customer are being resold at a higher price under TWO different accounts on Letgo. One is called Alicia Jones and the other is Rachel Stephens. She's claiming she paid me higher than what she actually paid and is spreading bad reputation as well.
-Just wanted to know if this is considered scamming or fraud in any way.

A lady by the name of Sue McManus on this site is very rude I asked to but a pair of jeans I was on my break at work 7:30 when I didn't respond due to working she blocked me and made rude comments, Now she is commenting several times on one item of mine then blocking me.
