Les Schwab Tire Center rattle in my truck

I took my truck to les schwab Blackstone in fresno ca to fix a rattling noise in front driver side they diagnosed it was the back brakes? That it would fix the problem. It didn't I called to bring it back to check it out at a different location in manteca ca they diagnosed it as 2 new tires and front brakes charged me $1200 and they said it was the problem. The next day we drove it we heard the sound again I called the store in manteca they told me to bring it back. The guy finally took the car for a drive with my husband found the problem and gave us another bill of $300. The manager was rude and blamed us for missing information we are not mechanics we brought it there to have our problem fixed told us different things were wrong with the truck that didn't need to be fixed we ONLY CAME TO FIX THE RATTLING NOISE. I now have a maxed out account and still a broke truck.

Les Schwab Tire Center high speed tire blow out at 70 mph at mile marker 116 i10w new mexico

On 8-16-18 I had the complete front end of my Chevy Trailblazer rebuilt at your repair facility at 9095 Fairway Dr., Roseville, CA 95678.
As part of the repair work I paid for a front end alignment.
On September 3 we left on a business trip to Nashville TN.
On 9-19-18 while traveling through New Mexico at mile marker 116 I-10W, we had a high speed (70mph) blow out of the left front tire. (Note: The speed limit in this corridor was 80 miles per hour. Our speed was 70 mph when the blow out occurred). It just happened that a tow truck driver was driving by and noticed that our vehicle was disabled. He stopped and offered assistance. He jacked the vehicle up, removed the damaged tire and installed the spare tire. After changing the tire he made a comment that the camber was off on both front tires and that the front right tire had severe tire wear as well.
Because you do not have a shop in Las Cruces NM (I checked on the internet), I had to go to a Big "O" Tire store. I had to purchase 2 new tires. Tommy, the manager at Big O, came out and said that the pre-check that they do would show the initial and final measurements of the front end alignment. The pre-check showed that all initial measurements were out of specification (see attachments). I also had to have a front end alignment to make the necessary corrections.
I also had to spend an unexpected night in Las Cruces, because the shop was closing at 5pm and we arrived around 4:45pm.
At 6:45am I returned to the shop as they opened at 7:00am. The technician inspected the entire front end and stated there were no parts damaged on the vehicle, however the entire front end alignment was out of whack (see attached document). As a result I had to purchase 2 new tires and have a front end alignment done.
Upon return I went to the shop in Roseville, where the original work was performed. I told Allen ( I do not have his last name) the story I stated above and showed him the repair invoices. Allen made copies of the invoices and took back the damaged tires. Allen said he would speak to his manager Travis ( I do not have his last name either) and was told Travis would call me the next day Tuesday. On Tuesday 9/25/18 I called and talked to Allen again and gave him the total for the hotel room. After I told him, Allen said that he had spoken to Travis that morning. Travis, the manager, stated he would only pay for the two new tires and front end alignment totaling $489.50. I feel this offer is in error because it did not include the expense of one nights lodging of $137.35, that was no fault of my own.

The original work order # from Les Schwab is [protected]
The repair order from Big O is #47980
Big O Invoice #[protected]
The hotel was booked through Hotels.com confirmation #[protected].

I would like to be reimbursed for all repair costs plus the cost of the hotel for a total of $626.85. (Note: On Monday 9/24/18 when I stopped in to the Les Schwab shop, Allen made copies of all the repair bills from Big O. I told Allen I didn't have the exact amount of the hotel bill but would get that to him on Tuesday morning, which I did. At that time Allen advised that Travis would only cover the costs of the tires and front end alignment but not the hotel).
I would like to be reimbursed for the tires, front end alignment and hotel as I would not have needed to stay in Las Cruces had the repairs been done correctly in the first place.
Please contact me.
Thank you,
Bruce McConnell

Les Schwab Tire Center service

I waited over an hour with only 3 cars in an 8 bay lot and 7-8 employees standing around so I could get a tire repaired. When I asked for a time frame the employee at the desk gave me a nasty stair with a short snide remark of maybe 20 or 30 minutes as he tried to humiliate me in front of other customers. I run a large heating and air-conditioning company with a proximally 42 vehicles on the road i've done business with your company the last 16 years and have an account as well but after this experience I will be opening an account with a different store.

Les Schwab Tire Center over charged me for mounting tires

I called Les Schwab on 3020 S Carson St. I had spoken to an employee. I needed to have 2 tires mounted on front of my car and an alignment. I asked SEVERAL times how much my tires would be to be mounted (as I had them already and was going to take them in) and she stated $44, and for an alignment was around $99. I went in today to Les Schwab on September 5, 2018. I took my car in and when I came back they had told me it could not get aligned because my inner and outer tie rod were bent. I said ok that's fine. They were however able to mount my new tires on the front of my car. When he told me the total I about shut myself. They had charged me $88.50 to mount TWO TIRES! They charged me for "TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM RELEARN" 22$ and two suspension checks 15$ each. wasn't necessary. I didn't ask for that. They charged me $24 for balancing and of course $9 for mounting. I had no other choice but to pay! I am VERY UNSATISFIED AND WANT THE PRICE THEY TOLD ME OVER THE PHONE!

Les Schwab Tire Center brake job

When they worked on my brakes at the south Carson. City Nevada store the left both of the rear simulator caps loose and one came off and flew across 4 lanes of traffic when I was just 25 miles away. They sent the replacement Capa to the south Lake Tahoe store to install. When they did they inspected the front braked because they were both smoking and chattering right after being replaced. Again they put the front simulator caps on finger loose and one almost came off within a few miles. I'm very disappointed in how Les Swab has become so user ice oriented. It's no where near the same as it once was. South Carson also price gouged me on the parts prices. Like 3 times what OEM parts would cost.

Les Schwab Tire Center tires

Bought a whole new set of tires from Les schwab, very poor quality, had to eventually replace two front tires and move the rear ones up to the front only to find out that one of those has warped. Still under warranty and %60 tread left as well!
I took them in to get looked at and they just explained it all away rather than just replacing the tires and keeping my business? My van is vibrating all over the freeway and my kids aren't safe. The errogance of a multi million dollar company to sell low quality products to a single struggling father is ridiculous! I now have to find some other tires somewhere else!?!
I will never be a L S customer again!
Service doesn't mean squat when the product is poor quality

Les Schwab Tire Center tires and service and honorable business practices

About 3 years ago I took my 2000 Nissan Sentra in to the Medford store on Hwy. 62. I bought 4 new tires and had the vehicle alignment done to ensure my investment. I bought tires with a 7 year/ 70, 000 mile warrantee. I went in today to have a tire checked that had developed a slow leak and when the tech came in he told me that he could not fix the tire or rotate any of the tires because the inside edge of all four tires was too worn?! The tires have 32, 000 miles on them and I have rotated them each time I have changed the vehicle's oil! When I mentioned this fact to the young man attending the counter, he informed me that there was nothing to be done because I had not had them do the rotation. In other words...HE ACTUALLY TRIED TO SELL ME ANOTHER SET OF TIRES! I have never been treated so shadily by this company. It so thoroughly disgusted me that I told them to put the vehicle down and that I'd take it home. I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN LES SCWAB AGAIN AND WILL STEER ANYONE WHO ASKS MY OPINION AS FAR CLEAR OF THEM AS I AM ABLE! I believe that this business has slid completely from being trusted, in my opinion, based on my personal experience.

Les Schwab Tire Center overlooked important issue regarding front end repair

On 3/22 of this year, Les Schwab in Auburn, WA (903 Auburn Way South - 98002 did some extensive work on my car, which included 2 strut installations, a 4 wheel alignment with shims, tie rod replacement and a strut replacement. This came to $807.05. This Saturday (8/26/18) I discovered that my passenger side front tire was completely worn. I stopped at the Les Schwab in Ballard, WA (5000
15th NW, Seattle, WA 98107) to see what was the matter. After replacing the tire, the individual who was helping me told me that the lower control arm bushings were worn and that's what caused the tire to wear out so quickly. He told me it would cost around $1, 000 to do the work. He also told me that the tire he just replaced would wear out quickly as well if I didn't have the work done.

We are currently strapped, my wife is on unemployment and I am a Lyft driver, depending on my car to make money. I feel that Les Schwab in Auburn, WA did me a disservice in not catching the problem with the control arm bushings when the work was done on 3/22.

I am wondering if there is anything Les Schwab can do to compensate for the carelessness of the Les Schwab in Auburn, WA.

I know he is no longer CEO, but Dick Borgman was student body president of Klamath Union High School in Klamath Falls, OR when I attended there in the early '70's. He used to ask myself and two other classmates to play music for him when he was speaking to to the students at lunchtime updates in order to cause the students to come closer to the podium in order to hear him.

Any compensation for the Auburn, WA store overlooking a necessary repair that still needs to be repaired that caused the demise of a perfectly good tire would be appreciated.

Yours, Mark Joneschiet

Les Schwab Tire Center customer service of the manager steve amstock

I just picked my vehicle up at the Les Schwab in Antelope, CA. I took it in to be aligned as they did the previous alignment. Come to find out that no one at any Les Schwab can figure out how to align my 2000 Ford Expedition. The alignment tech there was explaining the problem when the manager, Steve Amstock, butts into our conversation chastising me about bringing the vehicle in since the other shop couldn't do it either. He hollard at me that I wasted his time, the techs time, my time, that they have the same equipment at all offices. He belittled me in front of multiple other customers. My partner has been going to Les Schwab for over 35 years as has her mother and all her siblings. I have never been so humiliated in my life! Les Schwab has lost an entire family of customers because of the unprofessionalism, and humiliation of manager Steve Amstock.

Les Schwab Tire Center flat tire repair turned into needing 4 new tires...

Got a flat tire on 7/14 on way to fundraiser.
Used Instant Fix to get tire sufficiently filled to get to Lake Oswego Les Schwab.
After looking at tire, 2 Les Schwab attendants came and explained different stages of tread wear and suggested I needed all new tires.
I stated I had purchased all new tires from Oregon City Les Schwab several years ago.
They said there was nothing on record and suggested I might be thinking of another car. I said no and had proof of my purchase at home. (Store 220, Invoice [protected], Work Order [protected])
I asked them to just fix my flat for now. One attendant came back and stated he could not fix the flat. I asked about spare and he stated I could not drive over 50 with spare and I had to drive freeway to get to fundraiser so I said just put a cheap tire on my car and be done.
"Cheap tire" ended up costing me $107.87. (Store 224, Work Order [protected])
Will follow up with Les Schwab Corporate for resolution.

Les Schwab Tire Center refused to replace

I purchased a tire from Les Schwab for my boat trailer exactly 2 years ago. I purchased the most expensive boat tire they sold. I put around 200-250 miles a year on the trailer. The tire separtated and has a big bubble and I went to Les Schwabs for a new tire. They refused to replace it and would give me only 1/3 of the cost that I paid for the tire. I reminded them how loyal I was to Les Schwab purchasing all of my tires from them when there are several tire stores in our area that sell tires for less. I then asked the salesman to look up how much I've spent in their store recently. He did and it was $4, 000 in the last 4 years. The majority of that on tires. Didn't matter, he was not going to replace the tire that clearly was not my fault in the first place for needing replaced after less than 500 miles. Needless to say I was ticked and left the store before the situation escalated, vowing to never give them my business again. I would think that a company worth millions would replace my boat tire as a loyal customer rather and nickel and dime me about it. Unbelievable!

Les Schwab Tire Center accident with my motorhome

I took my motorhome to the company that James, assistant manager at my local Les Schwab, sent me to. ( Imperial truck and RV repair ).
I gave him the estimate today. ( see attachment ).

Once I gave hime the estimate he stated there was a $400.00 dollar check that will be coming in the mail.
I asked what for.
He stated, overpayment of the motorhome tires.

That i guess is my restitution.

I recieved a phone call moments after i left the facility by James.

He stated i need to return and fill out an accident report for his insurance company.

Why would i fill out an accident report if I've had no accident?

I'm already getting frustrated with all this running around that ive been doing for an accident that i had nothing to do with.

Our Summer of fun before ongoing Cancer treatment in September has ground to a halt over this.

Sincerely,

Jeffrey L. Heeb

Les Schwab Tire Center battery replacement under warranty/ service before tires where rotated where they messed something else up trying to charge more money

This is going on our second time with horrible service. Today we were needing to get our battery tested or replaced that was under there 2 year warranty. The person was to replace or find out issue, instead rudely stated they will not warranty this battery since our car is sucking power, which they did not test to make that diagnosis. The other instance with them was a little over 6 months ago, our car was due for a tire rotation. Took it in, once they did it, our car was making a horrible sound it never did before. Took it back and they told us we need to replace our rotors and brakes which one of the mechanics already stated with the new rotation that is we had about another 6 months on the brake pads, nothing on the rotors. They gave us an estimation to fix the problem they caused and the unwanted repairs over $400. Never fix the issue, with them, and amazing our car doesn't have the issue anymore.

Les Schwab Tire Center tire warranty and repair

Had the worst experience ever at the draper utah location. After waiting 2 hours to have a flat repaired by a screw.. Was told by the technician he wasn't able to fix it for who knows what reason... He suggested I put my space on it or repalce all 4 tires. He didn't look up my account or the warranty to see that I had just purchased the tires and that if it was undesirable thwn it should be covered under warranty or at least a discount or sorts to repair. Nothing was offered... I spoke to the manager who was an even bigger [censored] and alao dis nothing about the time I waited... Fixing my tire or anything. He just wanted to argue with me and waste my time. [censored] les schwab.

Les Schwab Tire Center flat repair

I took my car in on Monday 5/21/2018 to have a tire patched. I arrived before they opened and was second in line. Still I waited for over an hour before they looked at my car. The problem was a plug that they had installed previously (1 year prior) had worked it's way out. I suggested no plugs and preferred that they patch it this time, which, was exactly what I had told them previously.

While I was looking at my car in the work bay, one of the workers who was working on another car next to mine removed a tire, dropped it on the ground and it rolled right into my door.

They later came out to tell me that I was ready to go.

By Wednesday 5/23/2018 the tire was flat again.

I called and was told to bring it back in, which I did the following day on Thursday 5/24/2018.

They had missed something and put another patch on it.

While sitting at a light on my way home, I hear a loud pop and a hissing sound which was accompanied by the rear of my car sagging. I had a good feeling what it was.

Part of the bead was on the outside of the wheel.

Called Les Schwab and the assistant manager, Will, came to grab the tire and take it back to the shop "to see what's going on".

When WIll called me later that day he told me that it was a simple bead tear and that it was missed during one of the four times the tire was either removed or installed on the wheel.

The good news...

"We found a good used tire with a little more tread than your old one so we mounted and balanced it up for you."

The bad news is that no one ever called to ask how I felt about going in for a flat repair on Monday morning and leaving four days later with someone else's discarded tire.

They also failed to ask how I felt about it not matching my other three tires.

They also failed to ask how I felt about it being much narrower than my other three tires.

My extended family has sworn by the Les Schwab brand and service since as far back as I can remember, but the service has become terrible.

During my multiple visits I was able to observe and chat with other unhappy customers in the waiting room so I am not alone when I say that this company's service has taken a nose dive, no one seems to be the least bit concerned with their customers and there is very much a Take It Or Leave It attitude.

No one in my family will ever shop with Les Schwab again and it sickens me to think how hard that man worked to establish his business only to have it fall apart after his death due to their incompetence and absolute disregard for customers.

Les Schwab Tire Center second complaint/work #[protected]; customer id ao5586076

On Tuesday, 05/08/2018 I placed my personal vehicle (refer to numers in subject above) in the care of your branch located at 4901 Ming Avenue, Bakersfield, CA 93309.
The puropse was for "two front rotors replacements. The subject of this complaint is as follows: Prior to entering the above location my vehicle was running smoothly. (1) No indicators lights were activated regarding the "engine or oil." (2) It started without any hesitation or difficulty. (3) The engine was not sluggish nor making any sound resembling an old cluncker.
Later that day I returned to pick up my vehicle and it would not start. Furthermore, (1) The engine light was activated i.e., on; (2) i had to ask the tech to help me start my car. My vehicle had to be jumped started. I reside two blocks away and the engine damage is of such that I immediately returned it to the Ming Ave., location and inquried as to what happen to my vehicle. To add insult to injury, the "techs stated, 'We never touch the engine. But your oil is low.""
This is absurd because:
In March 2018 was the date of my last oil change/service job. And, in December of 2017 my vehicle passed smog inspectioin. Additionally, I have had regular up keepson my vehicle since I had it.
Lastly, the most recent estimate is $7, 300.00 according to a local Chev., dealer. The Les Schwab techs at the Ming Ave., location whether "inadvertently or intentionally are responsible for the exisitng engine problem(s), which did not pre-exist.
This is not fail and is a case where a single working female has been taken advantage and is being ignored because I am single and independent.
I am sick over this and am trusting that the the complaint system will help by holding those responsible accountable. My vehicle is my sole means of trnsportation to works etc. I just want it fix without further expense to me.

Respectfully submitted,

Brenda K Huckins

Les Schwab Tire Center $3000 dollar job

I brought my jeep wrangler down to get bushings and then it turned into more. "we don't work other people lifts" . So new track arm, ball joints, alignment and a 4 inch lift. Been 5 months and I returned it 3 other times for what we call a "death wobbles" and it's worse then ever. Making payments on a rig I can't even drive down a road. This is totally b.s. How can someone spend that much money and not be able to drive there own vehicle? Forget the death wobbles more like a death trap. I can't even sell it or trade it in.

Les Schwab Tire Center Alignment

What "do the right thing" really mean to your company? Took a 1999 suburban that we just bought into Les Schwab in Sandy, OR on highway 26 for an alignment. They did the alignment and then told us we needed a ball joint replaced. We talked about the mechanic we usually take our vehicles into and mentioned that we would have them take a look. The guys at Les Schwab said we had a 30 day warranty on the alignment so we had the ball joint replaced asap by our own mechanic. Took the suburban back about 2 1/2 weeks later. They told me I'd have to pay for another alignment. According to them if we fix the parts ourselves it voids the warranty which would've been important info when we brought it in the first time! Not to mention why do the alignment knowing we had a ball joint to replace? And why do the alignment before telling us about the ball joint? I sat and argued with 2 different employees (one looked like a manager) about how we shouldn't have been charged for the first alignment if they knew we were going to bring it back for an alignment after the ball joint was replaced. If we would've known we would've gotten the ball joint replaced before an alignment anyways. The one guy said "if there are 5 different things wrong, there's no way they can do the alignment but if it's one thing they do the alignment" I tried to reason with them. They knew once the ball joint was replaced we'd need an alignment and they knew we were going to have someone else look at it and never once did they say we'd have to Pay for another alignment after we had it replaced. They never gave us the option to wait til the ball joint was fixed they just did the alignment and then told us about the part. I am very upset about the whole situation. Doing the right thing is fixing the ball joint before charging us for the alignment, as any good and trust worthy mechanic or alignment shop. Les Schwab is a joke and "doing the right thing" seems to be scamming people out of more money

Took a newly acquired 30ft motor home in to LesSchwab in Sublimity. The brakes were a little spongy. After road testing, the LesSchwab employee said the brakes were excellent and that I lust needed to get used to them. Drove through Brnd and on to Brothers OR where I was going to stop for a bathroom break. Brake pedal went to the floor and no stopping! Compression slowed.to a stop, and I examined the vehicle. There was no brake fluid in the reservoir. I checked the vehicle over, and there were no visible leaks. Lucked out as little store/cafe had some brake fluid. I bought all three bottles. After bleeding the brakes and filling the reservoir, I drove it another 675 trouble free miles (except ABS light now on and as yet unable to resolve. Probably slightly uneven pressure between wheels). It is about 150 miles from Sublimity to Brothers. It is obvious that the reservoir was nearly empty when I had it at LesSchwabs, asking that my brakes be examined and tested. I guess I should have checked myself, but I assumed that the LesSchwab employee.would have checked that simple task.

Called the Manager to complain, and was told that there was nothing they could do for me because I had driven the vehicle after it was checked out at LesSchwabs. What? I was just concerned that the vehicle was safe to take on a 700 mile trip. Got quite a surprise when pedal felt like an over ripe watermelon. So done with Les Schwab

Les Schwab Tire Center unethical behaviour

I brought my car here in mid march because of problems with the right rear brake sticking evidenced by scraping and squealing at times and smelling hot when I stopped. I brought the car in and waited four hours to have the brake checked. When I described the issue to the young woman who was assisting me, she responded sarcastically as if from what I told her there could be nothing really wrong with my brake. I waited and was informed that everything was fine. I sprayed out the brake at a car wash and steam billowed up from the right rear brake as it was very hot. Before I could take it to my mechanic, approximately two weeks later the brake stuck completely and by the time I got it to my mechanic I had to replace the caliper and rotor and mechanic said I could have lost braking all together. As this store was busy with changing winter to all season tires, I dont think they looked at my car at all. This is a serious problem. If you cant handle taking in another car due to being too busy then dont do it. Total fail.

Les Schwab Tire Center crappy tires

If you need any tires go to Midas never go to Les Schwab! I bought a brand new tire from my Schwab. It kept going low and I went back five or six times telling him that and each time they had a stupid reason which I believed and then I took it in to Midas and they saw my tire and it was almost flat they took it off the wheel and they said if I would've put air in it one more time it probably would've exploded on me Les Schwab gave me $20 off a new tire and guess what the tires kept going low again. I went to Midas and they looked at my tire and said you need at noon valve ste I went to Midas and they looked at my tire and said you need A new valve stem. Fixed my car and it is perfectly fine now. Mitis knows more about cars and tires then let Schwab does by far! A new valve stem. Fixed my car and it is perfectly fine now. Mitis knows more about cars and tires then let Schwab does by far!
