Len The Plumber - &etimate&

This company charges for an "estimate" which takes less than 5 minutes and the recommendation was for me to pay them $170 to knock holes in my wall so they could "get a better look". I've since received two free estimates and the total job cost estimate is $120. Don't trust Len...he'll rip you off and while he does nothing.

Len The Plumber - unfair pricing

Plumber called to home for service in master bath. Was given lengthy description of what it would entail to fix the problem. It sounded difficult and would take at least a couple of hours.Given a per job rate of $464-- I did agree to it. The plumber was done in 45 minutes-- I was shocked. How could they charge so much for so little time. I felt totally taken advantage of.

Calls to company and a certified letter resulted in them sending us a check for $50 which has not been cashed.

I contacted 2 other plumbing companies and was told price was double (at least) of what was normal pricing for job.

I just want others to be aware-- their per job pricing is deceptive-- ask for length of service--don't be as gullible as I was.

Had a leak from bathroom to dining room. Seen it was $49 for them to come out called, very nice on phone. Plumber comes out said he had to do a diagnostic, it would cost $267 and he would have to take the toilet out. I agreed. Then he said to snake and check the tub would be almost $900. I was desperate so I said ok. Whole time he kept going in and out of the house to call someone else. Visit seemed rushed like he just wanted to get outta there and he was inexperienced. 2hrs later I was a bit skeptical but he said he was done, the leak had stopped and he put putty in tub. The next day it was still leaking. I called the office again they send the same plumber, he says he has to break the ceiling to fix the pipe causing the leak. I decided to ignore my gut feeling since I was already $900 in so I said ok. He makes a 8x10 hole in my ceiling, then says he can't proceed because there appears to be lead in the paint. so he can't continue until it gets professionally tested. I call the 1800 number and explain, they say they will give me a refund blah blah blah or some money back. Couple of hours later, I get a call from the branch manager that services my area. Who seemed to have rehearsed what he was going to ignorantly say which was, my house is old so most, if not all, my piping is faulty and it's not their fault I'm not happy with the service. Therefore, he can't fix the leak because it poses a safety risk to his plumber. So since I don't choose to get my paint professionally tested they cannot go forward. Then proceeds to say he doesn't see how any refund is due since i wont proceed. In the meantime, I still had a leak. I was able to hire a local plumbing company and they were able to fix the problem and had no issue handling the ceiling without testing. Learn from my lesson, find someone else...

I am a homeowner in Chester County, PA and I called Len the Plumber for a small garden hose bib water leak as a routine non-urgent call. I was shocked when the technician quoted $1300 for this little job. In addition, I wanted to replace a faucet in the bathroom sink with a new faucet already provided by me. The Tech said the labor alone for the faucet replacement will be $400. Both of these estimates were outrageous and I refused the service. Got hold of a local plumber and got the faucet replaced for $150 and the garden hose bib leak fixed for $200. I don't know how this company continues to fool people with such high prices.

DON'T cal Len. First, they did not listen to me when I described the problem. I told two different employees it was not a well problem, just very low pressure at some fixtures. The first employee assured me someone would be out the next day between 8 and 12. The next morning, at 6.30 a.m., a second employee called me. I reiterated the problem was not with the well. She also assured me again that someone would arrive between 8 and 12. You guessed it: at 11.49, a third employee called me. He said "all the well technicians are tied up, " and no one would be coming before 12. He said someone would come, but had no idea when that would be. When I asked why how busy "the well technicians" were had any relevance, when I had told two Len's employees I did not have a well problem, he said, "You didn't tell me." The last refuge of the asinine, the incompetent, the arrogant. Call anybody else.

I've not had the privilege of being taken to the cleaners by Len the Plumber. I know for certain I never will either. My search for complaints came from this daily assault of TV commercials on FOX News. It is the most ridiculous thing I have ever witnessed. 30, 40, 50 ads per day? Sometimes 4, 6, 8 times in a 15 minute period? I knew for sure with this much advertising they MUST be overcharging everyone and sure enough...here it is.

This is borderline insanity imo. One of two things is happening. Either the company is attempting to corner the market on plumbing advertising and pouring ALL profits in to do so. Or, FOX can NOT fill all their spots at their ridiculous prices so they are continually giving LTP freebies to fill dead air. Or both! Either way, the result is the same. THIS IS HARASSMENT! THIS IS SPAM! THIS IS INDOCTRINATION! I reached out to the company and they basically just laughed at me. Now I'll just make it my job to encourage everyone to do business elsewhere. This is virtually identical to the same down your throat advertising Fuccillo does with cars all up and down the East Coast.

I built a successful business from nothing and spent ZERO on advertising. Your #1 source of advertising is Referrals and overcharging people destroys referrals. People will refer you if they get a fair deal for a fair amount of money. Ten times more people will refer you if they get a GREAT deal for an even fairer amount of money.

Two things you ALWAYS must remember. The cheapest is usually never the best. And just because something is expensive doesn't mean it's any good. But in EITHER case, if you p*ss me off in advance of earning my business it really doesn't matter which one you are!

The driver of truck #191 rode very close to my back bumper going Rt.30 West on Sunday, June 17.2018 at around 9:15 AM from Sadsburyville, Pa to Parkesburg, Pa. This not a very safe practice! Is this how your drivers drive?

I had Len the Plumber at my house for a toilet leak. Rama tried to charge me $450 to replace the small hose at the back of the toilet, and the inside works of the tank! Said inside tank was not leaking yet, so repkaced just the hose for $190. About 10 min. Work.
Next day toilet was leaking again. Rama came back with supervisor, Eric. Told me $500 to replace inside works of two toilet tanks, as both were rusted. Bargained down to $450. Eric kept saying he was "rebuilding" the toilet and that was a great price. I said they were only replacing the kit inside the tank, not rebuilding the toilet! Took about 1/2 hour for the work.
Based on the 1st quote, they would have charged me $900 to fix the two toilets. You must argue prices, which are way overboard. Not an honest company. Unbelievable-will never call again!

Unfair exorbitant pricing. Quoted $495 for a job that took less a half hour. Clogged bathroom drain. When we complained, he called his boss to see if we could get a "discount". Just like a used car salesman would do when bargaining. Got the price eventually reduced to $350. Needed to go ahead with repair, but felt ripped off for the rest of the day. Don't use Len the Plumber unless you don't care what you pay. Recommend that you stay away and find an honest company to deal with.

People complain about plumbers all the time they think cause we walk in the house and walk out 45 minutes later we overcharge them the reason it only took us 45 minutes is cause we're professionals we know exactly what we're doing and we've done the job over and over again I guarantee you if you did that job that took me 45 minutes it will take you A lot longer to get it done and at the end of the day most of the time you're paying me for what I know not for what I'm doing cause if u knew how to do it I wouldn't be in your house in the first place
