Don't ever do business with Leffler Energy Products in the central pennsylvania area. They forced people to lock in at a high rate for heating oil and offered no relief when oil prices dropped dramatically unless you paid their ripoff $599 fee to cancel your contract. I am not paying that fee and after this year, I am switching oil companies and will never do business with them again. The ceo also responded to a letter of complaint that i wrote by telling me he would be happy to discuss it with me further and to discuss an alternative to keep me as a customer. When I tried to contact MR Woosnam to discsuss that, he was not available and never returned my call.

This is a DISGUSTING, ROTTEN, company who does NOT care about their customers! My dad, nearly 70 years old, has been without heat for almost two weeks (his house temperature has been in the 50's!) and it'll be another week, at least, before he gets his heat turned on! My dad called Leffler to come fix his furnace, as he has a service contract with them. They have come to his home three times (one time where they kept moving the appointment time back further and further and finally, never came. They came the next day. So my dad wasted two days of work). Each time they came, they claimed something else was wrong with the furnace. Today, HE had to call to check the progress of the part they're waiting for. THEY should have been in touch with him! And, THEY DIDN'T EVEN ORDER THE PART BEFORE HE CALLED! It should have been ordered DAYS ago! They do NOT care about their customers! I'm not even a business owner, yet I KNOW that customers should come first! They didn't even ask what they could do to help him in this time while he waits for heat! Maybe offer to bring a heater over?! Nope! I'm furious and will be sure that everyone knows about this crap company! My dad should NOT be wearing a coat IN his home!

WHAT PRICE ARE YOU PAYING RIGHT NOW? WHATEVER IT IS, IT IS NOT THE "NEW CUSTOMER RATE", WHICH RIGHT NOW IS 0 .50 PER GALLON LOWER . THAT'S RIGHT, 50 CENTS PER GALLON LOWER THAN OLD CUSTOMERS RATE. YOU ARE SUBSIDIZING LEFFLER'S ATTEMPT TO GAIN (AND THEN RAISE THEIR PPG THE 2ND YEAR) CUTOMERS.

APPARENTLY YOU ARE HAPPY WITH THAT SITUATION, BECAUSE FROM YOUR POST YOU THE KNOW ALL ABOUT HOME HEATING OIL PRICES. DID YOU EVER STOP TO THINK THAT YOU CHOSE A BAD INDEPENDENT COMPANY TO BUY OIL FROM ? BECAUSE I CAN TELL YOU - FOR SURE - THAT RIGHT NOW YOU ARE DOING BUSINESS WITH AN UNETHICAL COMPANY ... I'D LIKE TO SAY THEY ARE GUILTY OF ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES, BUT AM STILL INVESTIGATING THAT PROBABILITY. FROM MY 64 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE ON THIS PLANET, I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT IF SOMETHING STINKS, IT IS ROTTEN.

Obviously, you have no idea how to purchase home heating oil for yourself. It is a risk to lock in on a price and most, if not all companies offer price plans and charge you a penalty if you want to cancel out of your agreement. Would you tell your stock broker that you are not paying a penalty or a fee for your stock price going down? I am sure no one held a gun to your head and forced you to lock in on a price of heating oil? Choose the ceiling plan if you want protection. That way you can go up and down with the market and still be protected if it goes up to $4.70 again. I left Leffler 3 years ago to go to a cash company and ran out of oil 3 times last yeaer. They only delivered 100 gallons at a time so now I am back with Leffler and happier to be back.
