LeatherUp.com - Milwaukee leather mp8335rt large retro brown pvc zip-off throw over saddlebags quantity: 1 — total: $149.99

The offer 'FREE SHIPPING OVER $69.99' appears on the top of Leather Up's home page, email headers, and is scattered at least a dozen times throughout their web-page (with no qualifiers). When I questioned them as to why I was being charged $180 for shipping, I was told that it only applies within the U.S. Although after finding and deciphering their...

LeatherUp.com Milwaukee leather soft saddlebags

Purchased a set of Milwaukee leather saddlebags. I have no issue with leather up whatsoever. Have bought other products from them and everything's been fine, but Milwaukee leather saddlebags are absolute garbage. The d rings broke after the second ride with them installed and the bags bounced off of my tire and burn holes on both bags. The company will do nothing for me and I have corresponded with them over and over and have sent pictures and they will do nothing. Garbage product buyer beware!

Desired outcome: I have corresponded with this company and they are ignoring me at this point. Just went new bags or a refund

LeatherUp.com Delivery date delayed while parcel is in the hands of canada post

On January 15 I ordered a leather vest online from the c/n company.

On January 17 I was advised that the item had been "shipped". (Order #8091531). A Tracking Number was assigned as well. (R0000002467353). The original carrier was USPS, Consolidator International, and the transit began on the same date, January 17.

On January 20 I was advised the parcel had been transferred to Canada Post. A new tracking number was assigned ([protected])

On January 20, Canada Post recorded receipt of an "shipping label"

On January 25, Canada Post recorded that the item had been received at the Richmond facility. An estimated delivery date was listed as January 27. The record also advised that the Item had been processed and was "travelling to its destination". This suggests that the item had left the Richmond facility and was consistent with the estimated delivery date of January 27.

When the item did not arrive on January 27, I checked again and found that the item was still in Richmond, being "processed" and an estimated delivery date had been revised to January 30.

On January 30, I again checked the tracking number and was advised that the expected delivery date had again been revised to January 31. Ref #R000002467353

I succeeded in contacting a CP Agent "Courtenay" and was advised that my parcel had been downgraded in its priority because it had "arrived late". I now see that preceding its actual delivery into the control of Canada Post, an electronic "shipping label" had been sent on the 20th. I assume that an ETA had been included on the label and that the actual parcel arrived after that time.

So what?! The parcel was in your hands on the 25th and the item was labeled has having been shipped and "travelling to its destination" on the 25th. The following day, it appears that the parcel was still in Richmond and has remained so since then.

What has caused the delay? Do not blame the shipper.

Is it the policy of Canada Post to subject the receiver of an item to inconvenience, sanction, or punishment because a parcel arrived late. The consequence of you downgrading the shipping "priority" as suggested by Courtenay, who by the way was courteous, professional, and polite, throughout our conversation, is to further inconvenience the receiver who is, among the three of us, i.e. shipper, Canada Post, and me, who is completely innocent of any problems created by either LeatherUp or Canada Post.

Why has my parcel been held in Richmond?

LeatherUp.com Worst ever!

Purchased a pair of boots from www.leatherup.com and the ones I received were too big. I contacted customer service and explained what happened. I asked did they have my size in stock and they said yes. They refused to give me a return label so I had to ship the boot back at my own expense. The replacement pair which arrived several weeks later was too small!
I contacted LeatherUp again and their rep said that they did not have my size in stock! Demanded a full refund but they refused. Worst ever!

LeatherUp.com Never again!!

I have bought a motorcycle jacket from www.leatherup.com and when it finally arrived (shipping took too long) I was very disappointed because it was damaged. I contacted LeatherUp and they asked me to send pictures which I did and then they said that there was nothing wrong with it. The second time I called they said that it was not their responsibility because damage was caused during the shipment.
I really did not care whose fault that was I only wanted my issue to be resolved.
Third time I called they blamed me and told it was my fault and refused to exchange!
These guys are beyond ridiculous! My issue is still unresolved!

LeatherUp.com Hawk ST-1198 Helmet

Dangerous helmet. Poor customer support.
This is the second Hawk helmet I've owned. Both bought from Leatherup. The first one was recalled by the DOT because it was unsafe. Nice to know after you've been riding around with it on your head.
I noticed after wearing it just a few times that the visor had become crystallized on the interior. Trying to wipe it off only smudged it and made it worse. Three months of Emails and Leatherup sent me a replacement visor that was also defective. It had folds in the plastic right in the field of vision. Also defective.
The interior visor is not a clear tinted plastic. It has a cloudiness to the plastic that when you face the sun grays out! You can hardly see through it! I pointed this out to Leatherup as well. They said that when they get one off of another helmet they'll send me one. Four months of Emails and calls and all I got was a $16 clear visor and a helmet I can't use . With every Email or phone call the rep, Richard, says he has to take it up with "upper management". Really? You need to talk to upper management to get a visor or helmet replaced?!
I asked LU for contact info for Hawk because I contacted them on their web site and never heard from them. I got three emails. [protected]@hhcohelmet.com, [protected]@yahoo.com, [protected]@gmail.com. Yahoo and Gmail.com? Really?! No one responded any of the emails. I also got a phone and fax number for Shri Lanka. Really?! That's their customer support?! I tried faxing them but the fax would never go through. I give up!
In my opinion THIS IS A DANGEROUS HELMET TO WEAR. You need to see clearly out of a helmet and you can't with this one. Customer support is worthless from Leatherup and good luck trying to reach Hawk. If you buy this helmet you're taking your life in your hands. It wouldn't surprise me if they recalled this one too.

LeatherUp.com Hawk HX Helmet / discount codes

Recieved an email for sale items if you used a discount code.

The code would not apply. I could not reach anyone at LeatherUp to assist me for 2 days.

They informed me that the discount code was expired but would take a 5% off for my inconvienence. Clearly a bait and swith operation.

I strongly advise any potential customers to avoid this company.

LeatherUp.com Motrorcycle modular helmet

To cut through, I have NEVER dealt with any online seller who is as horrible as this business. I purchased a helmet based on their affiliation with Amazon. The helmet arrived late. The helmet did not fit the description. I contacted the seller and told them I need a return label, which they did. I shipped it the same day (UPS) and paid for the shipping. I followed my tracking number on UPS website. When it arrived, received, and signed for I sent the seller a reminder to refund me. weeks went by - - - I still never heard from them and still never received my refund. My advice - - - don't come near them.

LeatherUp.com Too slow return process and terrible services

Not recommended! I bought leather jacket from www.leatherup.ca. I received really small and strange jacket. It didn’t fit and wanted to return it. But their customer services were terrible, because they thought about return for ages. After 4 weeks they finally agreed to change the jacket, but another 5 weeks passed and I haven’t received the jacket back. The worst services and return process, so be aware!

LeatherUp.com Scam Artists/Thug Tactics

Ordered Leather motorcycle chaps from these thugs. When I went on their site I had to update my profile. I was able to update my billing address and did update my shipping address but for some reason my shipping address defaulted back to an old address that I had not lived at for 3 years. When I called them to tell them that my shipment was going to go to the wrong address they were very rude to me. They did agree that they could see I updated my info and for some reason it defaulted back...but said it was my fault I didn't notice it defaulted back. Yeah, well I'm human. They wanted an outrageous amount of money to change the address to change the address of where my item was going to be shipped to. I told them that I wanted to just cancel my order then and they said I couldn't! So I then said I would call my credit card company and dispute the charges...the manager David Osario at that point said, ok I will cancel and refund your order. I said that is great. He said...but I will then charge you a $45 -$50 cancellation Fee! I said that is outrageous...I don't want to cancel it then, just leave it be. He said NO, I'm cancelling it and I'm charging you the $45-$50 fee because you said you were going to file a dispute with your credit card company! I said you can't do that! He said " I can do anything I want! I told him not to cancel my order and that I would manage to get my package. He said it was too late...he was going to cancel it and charge my card more! WHAT KIND OF THUGS RUN THIS COMPANY? I hung up the phone shaking! I called Fedex and managed to have the package rerouted to a local Fedex holding station near my home. The package was delivered there, Fedex called me to let me know it was in, I was going to go pick it up but withing a few hours I got notification that Leatherup had managed to create another tracking number and had it shipped back to them...but yet I still had paid for this item...and they took it back! These people are Thieves! I called my credit card company and told them everything that was going on...they could not believe it. The charge is now being disputed and they are watching my card to make sure they don't try to charge anything else. Of course they deleted all my account login information from their website so I couldn't go on and post any reviews of them on their website too! The only good thing I can say about this is that I used a good credit card company that is going to back up my purchase and fight this for me and I will get my money back from these crooks.

LeatherUp.com Misrepresented Sizing & Poor Customer Service!

I ordered a pair of #1503-Xelement Executioner Leather Motorcycle Boots from Leatherup.com. Upon trying on the boots when they came, it was clear that the sizing was way off, and that they were not the 'universally accepted' Size 10, and I could barely even get my foot down into the footbed of the boot! My girlfriend, who wears a women's size 8.5, tried them on and they fit her snugly. Clearly the company's sizing is misrepresented, so I called them at [protected] to let them know what the problem was and to ask how to go about returning them for a refund. I told the Customer Service Rep I spoke to that I would like them to please send me a shipping label to pay for the return shipping, since THEIR sizing was off and it was not that I had ordered wrong. She rudely refused and basically told me that it was not their fault that I ordered the wrong size! I reiterated that I had NOT ordered the wrong size - I have worn size 10 for the past 25 years - and that, in fact, THEIR sizing is misrepresented and is off by a good two sizes! She still refused to hear what I was saying, so I asked to speak to her supervisor.

A supervisor named David came on the line and, after explaining to him what the situation was, began to argue with me, saying that the boots were not incorrectly sized, and that "if I can't even get my foot down into the footbed of the boot, how could I possibly know they aren't the right size"! After rudely interrupting me several times, insisting that it was I who had made the mistake, finally he said he WOULD send a return label -- however, once he received the boots back, he was going to hold them up to another pair of the same boots, and if they were the same size, he was going to charge me for the shipping! I explained to him that that would not necessarily prove that the boots are sized wrong, as all of their boots could be sized similarly! Like the first Customer Service Rep, he too told me that it was not THEIR fault that I had ordered the wrong size! I again exclaimed that I had NOT ordered the wrong size, I had ordered size 10 and received size 10, however THEIR sizing is obviously misrepresented, and there is no way THEIR size 10 would fit a persons size 10 foot! Still, he persisted, quite rudely, that I obviously did not know what size I wore, and that I had ordered the wrong size! I told him that all I was asking for was for them to pay for the return shipping, and wouldn't that be worth keeping a customer? He said "no, it wouldn't"!

All I am asking for is for Leatherup.com to cover the cost of having to ship the boots back to them for a refund, since I did NOT order the wrong size and had no way to know that their sizes were not the universally accepted sizes that the rest of the world knows and uses! It is not my fault that the size 10 boots I purchased were misrepresented and are, in reality, more like size 8.5 women's. Clearly they will never fit my size 10 feet, and when a person orders a size 10 shoe/boot, they should have a reasonable expectation that the size 10 they are ordering will fit their size 10 foot! How else can a person ever order apparel online if they can't expect the sizes to be universally correct?!

LeatherUp.com Not clear about sizes

Leatherup shows a "sizing table" for their pants on their website without the waist size. I sent them several messages and their answer was always "Give us a call"

When I called the answer was immediately "The numeric size is the same as the waist size" - I asked them why they would not give this information as a response to my emails, it appears that the company does not want to stand behind their information: I even talked to a supervisor, David who cut me off several times and would not explain either why they are having a problem to confirm that the waist size is the same as the numeric size. whenever I asked him what the problem was to confirm such a simple thing like "waist size = numeric size" in an email if they were able to say that over the phone, he turned hostile without answering the question.

What he said over the phone was also kind of contradictory: first he said "the waist size is the same as the numeric size" but then it was "each manufacturer is different, you can not exactly determine the size..."

It appears like this company has big issues with the sizes (I have seen many report of people who said that what they ordered was at least 2 numbers off).

LeatherUp.com Return Merchandise Policy

Purchased Baron Air Cleaner assembly on 9/06/12 installed unit same day went on 258 mile ride on 2011 H/D Road King afterwords found oil all down side of M/C dripping from air cleaner. Research of problem turns out Harley Davidson has a service bulletin TT411B which states some after market air cleaners will cause this problem. Contacted Baron Custom Accessories and they agree and said they will authorize refund thru LeatherUp.com after they receive the air cleaner. Returned unit and was signed for on 10/03. On 10/30 contacted LeatherUp.com and was told by CS manager it may take 2-3 months to get authorization from the manufacturer and when they do - will not give a refund REGARDLESS OF THE PROBLEM only a STORE CREDIT. Once they GOT YOUR MONEY you will NEVER SEE IT AGAIN. This is a very POOR business practice for a .COM store. RECOMMENDATION is to shop elsewhere on line or at a regular store -you may pay a little more for a product but you will be appreciated for your business and patronage. LEATHERUP.COM is a RIP-OFF web site misleading ads and seller of defective merchandise.

LeatherUp.com RETURNS/CUSTOMER SERVICE

Leatherup.com may have some cool accessories for motorcycles but DO NOT trust them. I made a mistake and ordered a windscreen for the wrong year model, my husband opened the plastic bag and held it up to the bike to see if it would fit, of course it didn't. They claim to have hassle free returns (along with excellent customer service) = all false. If you order from them, MAKE SURE it is the right product and hope that you will not feel the need to interact with customer service. They sent the windscreen back to me, refusing a refund because the plastic bag was opened. How else was my husband supposed to see if it would fit? Every time (2) I contacted customer service, they were extremely rude and hateful besides the fact that they would not listen! I would never deal with them again and would definitely not recommend them to ANYONE!

LeatherUp.com The way this merchant treats its affiliates isn't any different to the way they treat their customers

Although I have never been a customer of LeatherUp.com nor will I ever be, I believe my review of the ethics portray by this merchant is relevant here.

Around the year 2002, I had a business relationship with this merchant. They were supposed to pay me a percentage of every sale I send to their site. Everything was tracked using their in-house tracking system. From day one their tracking system wasn't even working. Knowing this, they continue to make promises and confirm that I have made several sales. They reassured me that they were tracking and will be updating their website interface to show it. As a newbie, I continued to promote LeatherUp.com based on these promises and naive hope. I contacted them a few more times and each time they reassured me that the site will be updated soon and that the sales are still coming in. As time goes on, they stopped replying to my email and I was out thousands of dollars as I spent it on paid advertising to send them tons of targeted traffic. I had no choice but to cut my loss and give up hope that this merchant will ever deliver on their promises. Couple of years afterward I logged back into my account with them to see if they ever updated their system but they never did.

I don't know if it made any difference had they known I barely make $250/wk back then and later was dislocated by hurricane Katrina.

The way this merchant treats its affiliates isn't any different to the way they treat their customers. The bottom-line for them is the money. If they can steal it, they probably will.

LeatherUp.com shipping

Ordered a bag for my motorcycle. They immediately took the money from my account and sent me an e-mail saying the item had been shipped. When the item didn't come on the delivery date, I called them. Was told, we didn't really ship it yet, the e-mail just says that the item is being shipped. When I asked to speak with someone as a supervisor I was given a suppesed person who basically said, there is nothing you can do. When I asked for a refund and to cancel the order suddenytly the item was shipped today. if you want to send it back and pay for the shipping you can do that at your expense. When I asked to speak with someone else, I was told there is no one else to speak with. Sent complaint e-mail to both Amazon and to the company with no response from either of them. As of now, I do not have the item, I cannot speak with anyone else and I can't get a refund. What a bunch of crooks.

LeatherUp.com Run - do not walk away from this scam artist company

This site is getting a huge reputation for asking you to order a size up or down from usual. I believe that is so they can float your money for as long as possible while they ignore every request you make to their so called "customer Service" department.

I have had to dispute 2 returns with my credit card company in order to get anything resolved with them. They do not communicate with you and will sit on your returned merchandise forever without letting you know the status.

If, somehow, they end up getting your order correct and sending out a size that actually fits you are probably going to fair ok but is it worth the risk>? It has been nothing short of the biggest hassle I have ever endured with a company and has cost me enough in return shipping and time disputing that I could have purchased the stuff locally and been better off - RUN - do not WALK away from this scam artist Company...

I have had two orders through Leatherup.com and one ended up needing to be returned. It's not the company that says you should order a size smaller, it's the people in the ratings comments. These people are ones that buy a product then rate it after they get it. I did follow the raters advice and ordered my boots a 1/2 size smaller, they ended up being too small and I had to send them back. There was no hassle with the return, I just had to pay for regular USPS shipping and insurance (the whole thing was $8) then I had to contact them and give them the tracking number, so no big deal. It was returned in a timely matter. Plus they gave me a discount on my new boots for inconvenience and the customer service guy was professional and courteous.
