minibus hire
Booked a mini bus for a brownie trip. After offering the trip to the Brownies realised a mini bus was going to be too small so cancelled to book a coach (with another company, thank goodness) Cancelled on 12th September and still have not received a refund if £279! Had to cancel a trip the Brownies were due to go on due to lack of funds, have told Lc Van hire this and absolutely no remorse or sympathy whatsoever. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Booked a 16 seater mini bus for transport to Sons Wedding. Booked in early July to be delivered to brides home on the 7th September. We paid £789 £500 of which was a deposit that would be refunded upon the vans return. We received an email the day before mini bus was due to be delivered saying they could not supply us with the mini bus as a customer had put the incorrect fuel into the bus and they did not have another one available. They located us another bus which was more expensive but they said as customer service gesture they would cover this cost and refund us our deposit back within 2/3 days. After numerous phone called to Adam and numerous promises we have not received our deposit or the extra cost of the second mini bus. Emails have been passed back and forth promising a refund every time but empty promises I'm afraid. Please do not use this company. Unfortunately you don't look these company's up until something goes wrong and then it's to late.
This is pretty much exactly the same scenario that they gave me. Night before delivery of minibus due I receive a phone call to say previous hirer had put in incorrect fuel and that I would have to source an alternative - this was at 6.30pm on the Friday and I needed 12 seater for Saturday!
I have now reported the matter to the police as a fraud as that it what I believe they have done. I don't think I'll get my money but hopefully will stop other people getting stung by this outfit. They are a disgrace and I would implore anybody not to hire from them. Also remember they don't have their own minibuses they are just a broker, perhaps this is why they consistently let people down.

Non refund
I n January 2011 I rented a van off Tony at LC Van Rentals [protected] for collection the following day. (Booking No. TD513441) I was asked to deposit 400.00 into the account of a Mr Thomas in order to hold the van which would be deducted off the total account. On the morning of Collection I was informed I would have to pay an excess of £1000.00 ontop of the total of the van hire before I could have the vehicle. I was not informed of this at the time of booking the vehicle. I refused and found another hire company and cancelled my booking with Tony at LC Van Hire. He informed me there would be a cancellation charge of 46.00 which I agreed to and he would refund me £354.00. immediately. I have spoken to Tony on several occassions and emailed him but to date have received nothing
I really would take the above comments with a very large pinch of salt. They are a shocking company who seem to make a habit of ripping off customers for large sums of money. Fraud Squad now involved. Deal with them at your own risk.

I had the same problem with this company as posted previously. I did eventually get a refund but only after some investigation as to who is running this outfit. The person you have paid your money to is Kevern McCoy his middle name is Thomas and this is the reference for payments. He used an online bank account. He works for Virgin Holidays so obviously does this as a part time scam. I said I was going to go to his employer and inform them of his scam if I did not receive my refund. He was down as a Director previously but is not stated as a director now. I was dealing with Adam I mentioned Kevern to him and told him this is the person I paid my money to, low and behold he agreed with me. I received my refund shortly after. Hope this helps
