late charges on bills / late postings of checks received
We have bought at least 4 rooms of furniture. We have a 4 year - 0% interest plan. We have Bank of America send out payment every month automatically. They send the check by the due date - Raymour and Flanagan post the payment days later and then charge late fees. Customer services tells me that it is because the check was received late even though my bank statement is posted correctly. I even changed the delivery date and still it was posted late. I wrote a letter to the corporate office - NO RESPONSE AT ALL. My opinion is - they don't charge interest but they are going to charge you late fees due to "late postings". We use automatic bank payments ALL THE TIME and have never had an issue with any other payment. Only Raymour and Flanagan. We will not only never buy from your company again - everyone we know will know about the practices of credit. My suggestion - pay off at least 1 month in advance because they will find an excuse to charge you 4 years of interest.
