I recently made a purchase at the new Bad Boy store in Kitchener. I paid for the item in full (unfortunatley). A couple days later I returned to the store to cancel my order and only then was made aware that ALL SALES ARE FINAL. I was not entitled to a refund, only an in store credit that is only valid for one year. This was a suprise to me, as Bad Boy does not advertise this in the newspaper flyers, or do they post this information in their store. The only place I could find the words ALL SALES FINAL was when the sales person showed me this on the receipt that I signed when I made the purchase. It is in very small print at the very bottom of the receipt. Who do they expect to see that? Anyway, I just want to make other buyers aware of the Bad Boy policy, since Bad Boy themselves does not tell the consumer about this policy until after the purchase, when they want to cancel the order. What a crock! Needless to say I am now out over $600.00 because I refuse to go back to this store again.

I hope you think twice before making a purchase at Bad Boy. This kind of policy will not last in Kitchener. I am positive Bad Boys doors will be closed in less than a year.

Have you noticed that NOOOOBODY is getting any satisfaction or even any type of response from Mr./Ms. Lastman's staff? NOOOBODY with any type of brain should ever be satisfied with this type of customer service! Plus, getting your hard earned money in hand and then, washing their own hands of everything is totally unfitting, unsound business practise and they should have learned that much since they brag about how long they've been in business? So what? ANYBODY could beat Lastman's Bad Boy! ANYBODY!

We purchased a washing machine from Lastman's Bad Boy and to date, with hour upon hour spent on the phone with it from the day of delivery, we have been told by the manufacturer that Lastman's Bad Boy has totally misrepresented the item in its description.

To find this website full of complaints and disgusted customers is proof that Lastman's Bad Boy is only out to get your money and deal you both misrepresented as well as extremely poor customer service!

We are pursuing this matter further but, to say that we have to spend money, time, energy and effort as well as nearly losing a job due to this matter and Lastman's Bad Boy's total misrepresentation of an UNUSED product is really telling of what kind of dealer this is.

To wave all responsibility/liability for its own mistakes and even to blame it on the opening of 2 new stores that it sanctioned? It's unconscionable and this truly is a situation that needs rectifying!

Jan 23 2015 Bad Boy delivered our 5 Stainless Steel Kitchen Aid appliances with extended warranty that cost $800 plus. When we purchased the warranty the saleslady and her manager told us that everything would be covered for any reason. Within the year the rubber on the fridge rubber tore and it was fixed no problem. Well everything was fine until March of this year. In March the dishwasher rack would not go in. After an e-mail and a couple of calls the rack was replaced. Great dishwasher working. The end of May the dishwasher would not drain. After several calls and a missed appointment the pump was replaced only to find ball bearings from the rail in the drain. But this didn't fix the problem...two weeks later they replace the heater and console. Finally a working dishwasher (not that I am too good to do dishes but there is 5 people in the house) until July 31st and now the left rail won't let the rack go in. So we e-mail and call again. No they aren't going to replace it. We go to the Whitby store where we bought them and talked to the Store Manager (Brian Simms). Mr. Simms in turn calls R.Sharma (who we have dealt with all along). Ms Sharma would not let me talk and went as far as talking over me everytime I said anything. Ms. Sharma tells me that the part would not be covered as the dishwasher still works although the rack is stuck and the door won't close. Sure the dishwasher would work if we could put the rack back in. Ms. Sharma also tells me that the part is not covered under warranty. EVEN THOUGH WE PAID FOR A WARRANTY MS. SHARMA TELLS US THAT ANY REPAIS THAT WERE DONE WERE DONE UNDER A GOODWILL PROGRAM. SO WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR WARRANTY AND WHAT DOES THE WARRANTY COVER?

BEWARE OF PURCHASING AT NOOOBOY

Don’t even go to a Bad Boy store. They will do anything to grab your money.
This is my story. I went to the Brampton Bad boy store and made a purchase. A week later I went there to pick it up and when I tried to assemble it was not fitting in. I took it back to the store and the main technical guy could not even assemble it. The problem was with the design itself. Then I decided to cancel the order and asked for a refund which they refused. At last after a big fight they offered me a store credit which according to them was as a big favour.
My observation is this. They are trained to be mean once they have the money in their hand. Nothing else to say. Don’t buy anything if you think you may need to return it or may break down soon.
Whey even bother to go there when there are many good stores available out there.

The story is that we bought a bedroom set for our son from Bad Boy Kitchener. We bought a Queen Bed, Dresser, Tallboy Dresser, and 2 Night Stands with the Solid Gold plan. The total was around $2300.00. After we got home, we did some measurements and discovered that all the furniture simply was not going to fit in our son's room. This was on Saturday, so we called in Sunday to modify the order before it was to ship on Monday, not expecting to have any problems. We spoke to the GM who informed us that even though the items had not shipped, they have a strict NO REFUND policy. This was a bit of a shock, as nobody had highlighted this, but I do see now that it states this in the fine print. I do take some of the blame here, since I should have read things more carefully, but I wouldn't have expected this to be a problem since the items hadn't even left the warehouse.
After being assured we were basically out of luck, we modified the order and were given around $700.00 in credit.
This certainly tainted our whole experience, and we're not really happy. Can't say we'd ever use Bad Boy again or recommend anyone go there. The items hadn't even shipped. This shouldn't have been a big deal, and the policy is archaic. It seemed like an arbitrary and shady practice, that was more interested in clawing every nickle from us rather than providing good customer service.
So, I have been checking the website every week or so if there is anything of interest, although I am truly not happy about this whole thing. A few weeks back I noticed that there were 36 google reviews for this location when I typed it into Google. 1.8 out of 5 stars is the average. Brutal. If I had seen this before we bought the furniture, I probably would have been much more cautious. I see that things are not a whole lot better on HomeStars.
I already contacted the social media team and their response was a laughable "this is our policy and procedure". You cannot justify poor customer service and shady business practice by just saying it is your "policy". Sorry. You MADE the policy. It sounds like an exploitative policy to protect against pressure sales tactics. They also said some sort of supervisor would look into it, but it has been a month and we haven't heard from anyone.
The bedroom set we received was good, but Bad Boy doesn't build the furniture, they just sell it. If I am rating our experience with Bad Boy from a customer service and ethics standpoint, I am very disappointed. Read the fine print. Buyer beware.

Purchased $4000 cash in kitchen appliances; stove, OTR microwave, and fridge. Stove arrives and it is not the model the sales person showed. It's a lower model with some of the same features and similar appearance but not all of the features. We go back to the store and the assistant manager tries to tell us that the placard on the stove that the sales person was selling us was for a different stove. Told him that was crap and that the sales person was going over the features of stove on the sales floor. Pointed out to him that the stove they delivered was not one that was even on display in their store. He told me that he would have to talk to the sales person to straighten it out and that he would call. Days later and no call. Had to call them back and ask what was going on. He went right back to his old story that the placard with the price was not for that stove. Trying to get them to get the stove out of my house and give me my money back. The saga is still going on without resolution. Bottom line: don't make the same mistake I made. Just stay the hell away from BAD BOY - THEY SUCK

The no return policy has got to be the biggest issue leaving customers with faulty merchandise and dealing with the manufacturer. I purchased a Maytag refrigerator and as soon as it was plugged it began to leak. I called the store in Barrie where I purchased it and wanted it returned. That was the only time I was made aware of the No return policy. Unacceptable to me as I would never have purchased it at Bad Boy had I been made aware at time of purchase. This was never discussed or disclosed. Now I have to wait several more days for a repair man to look at the issue. Again unacceptable. The public needs to know the risk they are taking with purchases at Bad Boy. I will never shop there again.

I have moved in the last 15 years 5 times. Each new home I had bought brand new appliances all from BAD BOY.
Thank goodness I bought extended warranties with everything. I have never had to use the warranty up until now.
My Whirlpool Cabrio Washing Machine which I spent $1600.00 for just stopped working. It required parts. Service man
came out 2 times and then I was told it has to be replaced because its all rusty inside. Nothing to do with BAD BOY. No problem.
But with a warranty if you want the machine to be replaced it has to go through BAD BOY. 5 weeks have passed. I still don't
have a washing machine. Customer Service and even the MANAGER of BAD BOY does not return calls. You could leave a message everyday on their voicemails and they have never returned a call. If Im lucky after holding on the phone for over 45 minutes a human being will finally answer my call. I AM NEVER GOING TO STEP A FOOT INSIDE A BAD BOY STORE. THEY HAVE LOST MY BUSINESS. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. BUT WHAT DO YOU EXPECT WHEN A "MANAGER" DOESN'T EVEN RETURN A CALL WHY WOULD SOMEONE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE CALL A CUSTOMER BACK. I HATE BAD BOY! I WILL NEVER EVER EVER TELL SOMEONE TO SHOP THERE. I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN IN MY LIFETIME! Noooooooooooboooooooody should go to BAD BOY!

I don't know how this scam of a company managed to stay in business for so long but I guess ripping people off is a great way to make money. We went into Bad Boys to buy a dining set along with a sofa for our new home. During our conversation, we asked the sales clerk if the dining set was made out of real wood and he said yes. We believed him as it was one of the most expensive dining set they that sell, for $2000+. After getting our dining set and sofa delivered, the dining set turned to be plywood. We tried to call their company and they said all sales are final. We were shocked and surprised because we were in the store for 1-2 hours and no one told us, even after we made our payment. Turns out they have an "All sales are final" in tiny fonts printed on the receipt. So the company told us to contact the store where we purchased the dining set. When we called the store, the same sales clerk spoke with us on the phone and blatantly lied by stating "I told you it wasn't real wood, you misunderstood me." Never would I thought a "reputable" furniture company would have final sale on all of their merchandise, without even informing you before or after you paid. This is essentially a scam so I would advise EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY from purchasing at Bad Boys. Never will I ever shop there again and I have already warned my friends to stay away.

They promised a Dinette set by end of October 2014 when we made the purchase early October. Today, few days before Christmas, still no Dinette and when I call them, same old answer "It's coming next week". And the manager guaranteed it will be delivered before christmas. Avoid any headache and possibly other mental anguish, don't buy from this company.

Very dishonest company. They do not honor their extended warranty. we called on May 7 or 8 and now it is June 16th and still no sign of service. Their managers are big time liars, I went to their store since the phone calls to their service department were not fruitful and their managers said they will resolve this quickly and we will get a call within 2 days. Again no calls from them.
May their store burn down!

Purchased a 3 PC Frigidaire home appliance at the finch store located in Toronto in 2010. I also purchased Bad Boys Solid Gold 5 YR warranty for an additional fee. Had no problems with any of the appliances, until now. My fridge/freezer is not keeping a cool and cold temperature. I called the Solid Gold warranty on Dec 16th -2013 and told me that a service technician from Home appliance repair will contact me. I did mention that this is a fridge and my food will spoil. A service technician from HAR did call me on Dec 18th in the morning for a service windows of 2 hrs. The service technician showed 45 minutes late. After looking at it he told me that the coil is clogged and they would need to order a new one. Keep in mind this is a fridge/freezer which was noted that this is rush because Christmas is 8 days away, and I need to feed my family. I called the next day on Dec 19th as instructed by the service technician at HAR to see if the part would be in and Rachel at HAR told me that they are awaiting for approval from Bad Boy. So I called Bad Boy to see what is the status, waited 20 mins TWICE to speak to someone in the service department. They told me the account manager Rachel is not in and cannot provide me with an answer. In the meantime my food is spoiling, I can't feed my family and we had to resort to take out. I was notified via email that the part has been approved on the Dec 23rd! Yes people the day before Christmas! The warranty was paid in full, 3 years ago and I am awaiting for an APPROVAL! I waited 8 days for an approval! Since then all my food has spoiled and my wife and I are spending a fortune on take out food for our family. The Service Rep at Bad Boy offered me a $50 gift certificate to spend at BAD BOY. How insulting and rude. I can't believe what this world has come too. You can't find a honest business that still cares about there customers. As of Jan 2-2014 My fridge is still out of order and BAD BOY AND HAR have not claimed responsibility. I will posting this all over the net and if not compensation is offered I will be filing a legal small claims case.

I absolutely agree with these sentiments but the thing that I found I found the most galling about this company is 1) they have a customer care centre just to pretend they care and 2) the Lastmans accept absolutely no responsibility for what is going on and that is the worst part of it. If you are prepared to put your name on something and not stand by it then you take no pride in it. Gosh, what was I thinking, Mel Lastman gave up his pride a long, long time ago.

I wished that I had read this site before buying my living room sectional from bad boy. I bought the floor model with some small tears. I asked if I could return if I wasn't satisfied with the repairs not a problem I was told. Got my delivery as planned but the tears were ripped off and coloured in. They were not glued down so that they would not rip further and we found more of a tear in the sit cushion after sitting on it a few times. Called the Brampton store to speak with the manager as the delivery people advised me to do. Was told that only the general manager mike could authorize the return and he would be in tomm. Called bk and was told he was off and would be in the next day. Called bk again and was told he was off again and that he would call me bk. I have yet too speak with this mike person. Finally spoke to some manager who could actually help me b/c none of the other managers could authorize the return. Didn't understand why, they were managers anyways. All this time was told that someone would call me bk, that never happened. I must have called 3 or 4 times everyday . They said they would pickup the next tue. That didn't happen. Called bk again and no one could help me again as that manager was not in and he would call me bk the next day. I had to call bk again b/c they said he would be in at 12. Then was told he would be in at 2:30. Still no call bk! Called again at 5 he was busy with a customer finally another manager got him and I spoke with him and he did not apologize and said that no note was left for p/up as if it was no big deal and why I was upset he didn't do call bks till after 6 . I was just supposed to know that. The worst customer service that I have ever gotten. They are supposed to p/up Friday now so let's see what happens, he said I could get all my money bk

In2010 we purchased $14000.00 of furniture from Bad Boy and have had nothing but problems with almost everything we purchased. The first thing was a reclyning loveseat that was loose a service repair man came and 2 hours later said that it was the best he could do, the problem has been ongoing and getting worse. My gas range the first time using the selfclean feature it melted my knobs called to get replacements the girl on the service desk told me i would get them 5-7 business days it's been almost 2 months and still haven't received them. Everytime I call I get different stories. My microwave the top part of the microwave fell off putting a dent on my range and the top cover, repair guys came out with a new one only to be in worse condition then the original on reason why cover came off was because the fan inside wasn't turning off had to wait 2 month for new microwave. I'm living with the dent on my range. We bought an extended warranty paid $500 and apparently it doesn't cover any of the problems we are having. Our leather couch is cracking between the cushions warranty doesn't cover that.BadBoy will do nothing for us because they are only responsible for the first year after that you are **** out of luck.We are getting nowhere with Bad Boy it's very upsetting after spending so much money and getting crap!Bad Boy just sells crap!

Never deal with the Whitby location! I purchased a sofa and love seat gave them $800 down (big mistake) the furniture was delivered and it wouldn't go down my stairs to the basement. They would not refund my money but told me I have a $800 store credit. Ordered another set same situation it wouldn't fit. I went back to the store as I had a $800 credit and didn't see anything else I wanted. They would not refund my money back but deducted $70 off my store credit for delivery. Never once did they tell me there would be another delivery charge regardless if it fit or not. Once they have your money they don't care about the customer being happy at all. The manager there Shane was very arrogant and has no management skills what so ever. I have spent over $5600 in the last few months with this store and they decided to take the $70 off my credit note so therefore I will never deal with Bad Boy again and will tell everyone the experience I had with them which I told the manager I would do so. I can't believe a store would lose a customer over something like this and lose further business cause word of mouth goes a long way!

"Lastman’s Bad Boy is committed to satisfied customers. Without the salesbill information we cannot look further into your issue, so if you would like to contact us directly we would be more than pleased to review the situation. "

That's BS, called and was advised to go and speak with the store manager. So, pretty much wasted my time on this one.

"In regards to your mirror issue, please contact Customer Care at Lastman’s Bad Boy: Our industry-leading Customer Care is available 6 days a week, with an average answer time of less than one minute to reach a live person who will direct your call. Another BS, now I was requested to send pictures of the chipped frame. What kind of service is this one? I never had this experience with other furniture stores. They just sent somebody to repair it and I never had to prove my complaint. This is turning into a very very bad experience.

Very disappointed on BadBoy with their return policy. There is no such thing as return on furniture after it's delivered. Got a bedroom set with queen frame and headboard and mattress plus more dressers and night stands. A couple of days later decided that queen is too small and need to upgrade to king. Went to the store to ask them to upgrade the bed frame and headboard. They told me the sale is final and they do not accept return policy. They advised me to try kijiji to sell furniture a couple of days old. None of these were cleared stated (or not stated at all) on the terms of their sell. Also, the mirror was chipped. Called the customer support and left them a report. No follow ups a month later.

Dear chairless,

We regret that you have experienced any issues at all with your product. Lastman’s Bad Boy is here to administer the manufacturer’s warranty during the first year, as all furniture manufacturers offer a one year warranty against manufacturer defects and workmanship towards their products.

The extended warranty is sold as an accidental protection plan, and outlines in the literature provided at time of sale all the inclusions and exclusions covered. We certainly do not try and conceal any of the benefits that the extended protection plan offers.

We understand that the situation is most definitely unfortunate; and that is why the Customer Care agents have tried to rectify the situation by offering possible solutions, although the warranty expired 9 months ago.

Our Solid Gold promise means that we are dedicated to working with all our customers to offer viable solutions, and we stand behind our promise.

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate the opportunity to respond to your concerns.

Dear aflint,

We apologise for your appliance delivery delay.

This is not the experience we want for any Bad Boy customer, regretfully we are currently experiencing severe delays Summer 2012 on manufacturer shipments due to factors outside our control.

We apologize and are working hard to get the products people have ordered to them as quickly as possible so they may enjoy their purchase.
At Bad Boy we take pride in working with customers to make arrangements that satisfy them. We are happy to hear that free delivery was offered to you.

Please stay in contact with your Store, they will have the best information on availability. Our Delivery department will be in touch with you as soon as we receive the inventory to arrange your preferred delivery date and time.

Thank-you for your feedback.

I purchased a pub style dining room set from Lastman's in October of 2010, and purchased the extended warranty. At the time of purchase, the sales woman assured me that the warranty would even cover the damage if someone stuck a fork into the seats of the chairs. Since I have grandchildren, I thought the warranty was a great option. In April of this year, I was sitting on one of the chairs when one of the legs just cracked and broke off. I am not a big person, but even if I was, I would think the chair should stand up to some weight. Since I had purchased the extended warranty, I felt protected. NOT! I called the store and they directed me to the company that handles the warranties. I was told that my chair was only covered for scratches and accidental damage. Excuse me...but doesn't a chair leg breaking off qualify as accidental damage? You can see that the wood was defective because the stain has seeped in along the crack. Since then I have been offered a refund on my warranty, or the option to pay a $160 restocking fee, and then a store credit for $400. The restocking fee was for returning all 8 of the chairs with my set. I asked how I was going to purchase 8 chairs for less than $300, and get them to match my table? The customer service rep suggested I go look in the store to see if there are any matching chairs! All I want is one chair, either repaired or replaced! There is no way I can buy 8 chairs for what they are offering me..and to pay a restocking fee? What garbage. I am not giving up yet. I am considering attaching a 4 X 4 block of wood to my chair and sitting outside the Kitchener store telling people about Lastman's customer service and bogus warranties!

Extremely disappointed in the service from Bad Boy (Mississauga Dundas). I didn't like the car salesmen like tactic of constantly going to the back office to get things approved by a manager. It's sleazy and unnecessary.

We ended up buying anyways and were told the washer was out of stock until July 1st (which was a week and a half away so not a big deal). On July 2nd I decided to call the store to see when we would be getting our delivery and they said two more weeks (getting annoyed but I can understand a delay issue).

At the two more week mark I called again, and turns out the washer is not going to be in until August 15th! Almost 2 months since our purchase!

The best they would offer is free delivery and didn't seem to care about the fact that we had been lied to. When we asked about a full refund they would only give store credit! Why on earth would I ever shop there again?

Bad Boy may have a decent price but their commitment to their customers and personal honesty & dignity is right in the dirt.

We regret that you are experiencing an issue with your new KitchenAid appliance.

My wife and I bought a kitchenaid dishwasher and while we were installing it just about after a week there is water that drained onto our floor so we were surprised why the dishwasher has water on it's hose considering that it is a brand new machine. after the installation we run a test and good grief! the pump motor is defective. the dishwasher is not draining. lastman's bad boy sold us a garbage unit. we even paid 5 year extra warranty on the item telling us that we can replace the unit if it is defective. when i called customer service, they said that they cannot replace it but they will send a technician to repair the dishwasher! that sucks! i paid full price for a defective refurbished unit and they still have the nerve to say that the dishwasher is brand new. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND LASTMAN'S BAD BOY to any of my friends. here's the catch. as i was talking to one of their staff in customer service, she told me that all sales are final and they cannot replace or return an item - even if it is defective? DO NOT BUY FROM ANY LASTMAN'S BAD BOY STORES! THEY ARE REALLY BAD BOY!

A few weeks ago I purchased a washer / dryer from the London store. Everything seemed to go fine, my sister was asking all the questions. (Thank god she was with me)
I did the 90 day layaway. Told them from the beginning I wasn't sure on the delivery day, they were pushing for March 1/12. Needless to say I went in before March 1/12 to pay the items off and set up a delivery day. I was informed that delivery was set up for March 1/12 as I had requested...funny I never gave a delivery date, only because I had 90 days to pay it off and paid it off in a about a month. I looked at the lady and politely informed her that no date had been given for delivery, especially since I was working a 12hr shift that day. This is when she really started getting rude, basically demanding that I take delivery for the 1st. I didn't even have the keys for the place yet, not until the 2nd (locksmith troubles). Well delivery came on the 5th, the delivery guys superb. Never noticed that big dent in the top of the washer when it came in, none of us did, and there were 3 of us looking.
So I get on the phone the next day, guess what its not their problem, I signed off on it. Silly me, I didn't inspect with a microscope, I even showed the manager the dent in the washer on my phone. I had to go to the store to show them because the damn washer never came with HOSES. . Silly me...again. What would make me think to ask if the washer came with hoses?
Yes they neglected to tell me that, totally ignored the pics. Basically it was "have a nice day and don't let the door hit you on the way out."
new mantra...NEVER AGAIN, NEVER AGAIN, NEVER AGAIN

is there any way of forcing BadBoy to give me my deposit back on a dryer that was ordered February 17th (today is March 1st).
I ended up purchasing one from another place and it is already delivered and installed. I went to BB this morning and
asked to cancel the order and get my money back. I was told that was not an option. But they could give me a store credit.
I had to put 25% down and I really want my money back. Has anyone been successful at this. It just seems illegal to me that they can do this.
