I was sold 2 rings and a pair of earings at the airport branch, the jewellery was in a 70% off sale, it was all in a locked cabinet and when I asked to try them on the assistant was helpfull, I said that it was our anniversary and I was looking for some diamonds. The assistant helped me by telling me the size, cut and color of the diamonds, I said that I would need to get them insured so could she write down the Carats for me which she did. I hapily bought my diamonds and paid after discount $5495.00. I then went to get on my flight back to the uk. When I got onto the plane, i opened the bag to check the jewels and out of the bag fell a leaflet saying congratualtions on buying your moissanite jewels, i had never heard of moissanite and and had no idea what it was. I was horrified that at no time during the sales process did the assistant tell me they were moissanite, she refered to them as diamonds... so I am complaining because they misled me and outrightly lied over what they werer selling. I have tried to get some assistance, but when I call customer services they wont help, they say they never have sold diamonds and it was my stupidity that I did not check out what they were made of, when i argued that there were no signs to advertise what the rings were made of whe sould not accept my truthful answer. They do not respond to my emails and unfortunately I am now the other side of the world. They lie and have no customer service, they will not help me in any way, they fraudulently took my money and I hope that nobody else gets scammed like I have by a retail company that seems to escape the law by their devious business practices, leaving me the consumer no support or redress. DONT BY FROM LANDAU THEY ARE LIARS>>>>
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
On July 19 2023, I purchased a bracelet at the Niagara Fallsview location for $20. I wore it 3 times and it has broken already. I know it was only $20, but I should be able to wear it more than 3 times. I can provide pictures and receipt.
Bought at Vegas before my plane was leaving back to Washington the seller assured me
Of the “great quality”. Only to arrive THE SAME DAY with missing stones. The day was Tuesday August 1st.
I bought a bracelet from Landau Jewelry with a magnet clasp. Used twice and the magnet does not work anymore. Super disappointed.
The lady from the hotel Hyatt at St Louis assured me it's a great quality and nothing would go wrong with it. Tried calling a couple times customer service, nobody picks up the phone.
I was assured by the bythe sale woman the ring and the necklace were 14 k gold and diamond on 05/27/11. I was so assured that I even didn't ask for a written document that says so.I payed $2127.00 after 75% off of original price. The next day I showed the jewelry to another jewelry store and I was told not only they weren't gold or diamond but even they weren't silver.I took the jewelry back to the store(LANDAU ) less than 24 hours.I told to the same sale woman what I was told by other store and asked for refund.the sale woman admitted this statement"Yes, I told they were 14k gold based on what my manager told me.but we can, t refund your money.You can exchange or get store credit".It wasn't and is not fair that they can sell a piece of metal for that price.There shoud be a law or some one to stop these rootless componies. I hope my credit company can support me as their custemor
My daughter purchased a purse supposedly on sale in this gift shop, thinking she really got a deal only to find out it was cheap, fake and not even worth the sale price. Within less than ten minutes walked back into the store to return it, only to find the sales clerk did NOT give her the reciept but that she could not return the purse nor get a refund, of course when she threatened to call police the reciept appeared, but still could not return or refund. Nowhere did it say these policies, until hotel security came in and she pulled out small poster. Now they say she will have to file complaint with corporate and they would decide if she would get a refund, all they should have done was cancel the sale and return her money. Now they are getting bad publicity, word of mouth complaints all over less than $100. sale WOW.
